Background: Meconium drawing is a life-threatening disorder. It is distinguished by significant respiratory difficulties. Lactate is a fast-paced variable, strongly related to difficulties and mortality in nearly every severely sick child. Our aim in this study was to anticipate difficulties with the drawing of meconium by lactate measurement. Methods: This is randomised control work, occurring in 40 babies with meconium stained liquid. From February 2020 until November 2020, they were allowed to attend Benha University Hospital. Results: The need for resuscitation of babies with meconium contaminated liquor was 60 percent. Administration of surfactants was 16 percent. Stay in the hospital, vary from (4-45) days. Diabetic mother's maternal history was 20% and hypertension maternity was 12%. Infant issues report that 20% air leak syndrome, 16% air leak syndrome, 52% hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy and 64% required for breathing assistance. Air leak syndrome Conclusion: Lactate measurement may be utilised to prevent issues such air leak syndrome, ischemic encephalopathy and breathing assistance in babies receiving meconium-treated liquor.

Sepsis is a common and serious neonatal problem with high morbidity and mortality particularly in resource limited communities. Broad examination endeavors have yielded numerous biomarkers which are conceivably helpful, for conclusion of sepsis as well as for forecast of its result. to examine the analytic job of RDW in 50 of full term children with sepsis and to assess its job in clinical result of neonatal sepsis. Statement of problem. Exposing the tooth structure to chemicals used in displacing the gingival tissue is inevitable. Purpose. This study was undertaken to microscopically examine the effect of tannic acid on the prepared dentin surface. Material and methods. Forty recently extracted intact human teeth were mounted for buccal surface preparation. Teeth were equally divided into 10 groups. One group was kept as a control and the other teeth received a topical application of 15%, 20%, and 25% aqueous tannic acid solutions each for 5, 10, and 15 minutes at room temperature. All samples were washed, air-dried, then prepared for scanning electron microscopic examination. Two different areas in the cervical region were randomly selected and examined under magnifications of ×1000 and ×2000, then photographed. The assessment of the changes was performed qualitatively. Results. The results showed an incomplete removal of the smear layer in all experimental samples. The astringent action of the tannic acid solution on both the smear layer and the surface peritubular dentin around the orifices of dentinal tubules had contributed to their constriction. The degree of constriction of the orifices of dentinal tubules increased as higher concentrations of tannic acid solutions were used and as the application time was further increased at each concentration. Conclusion. The tannic acid had an incomplete action on the removal of the smear layer. It also seemed to have an astringent action on both the smear layer and the peritubular dentin.
