Knowledge provenance is an approach to determining the validity and origin of Web information by means of modeling and maintaining information sources, information dependencies, and trust structures. This paper explores trust structures in social networks and constructs a trust judgment model for knowledge provenance. Trust judgment includes: trust assessment (to assess trust degree) and trust decision (to make decision of either trusting or distrusting). We reveal a general structure of trust decision, from which (i) the threshold of trust degree to make decision of trusting and (ii) a measure of importance of trust judgment situation are derived. Regarding trust assessment using social network, a major concern is how to aggregate friends' opinions. We propose two new methods: (1) to find most compatible solution to all opinions; (2) to request friends one by one until a set of consistent opinions is obtained. In this paper we present comparisons of NN emulations developed for two different complex climate models: NCAR CAM model and NASA NSIPP. These models have different dynamics, different horizontal and vertical resolutions and different physics (including different long wave radiation schemes). Comparison of two (NCAR and NASA) NN emulations shows their profound similarity in terms of the accuracy of emulation vs. the original parameterizations and complexity of emulating NNs, i.e. the methodological robustness and portability of our NN emulation approach.

The RBE for damage to the small intestine should be determined prior to treatment of cancer in the abdomen and pelvis with fast neutrons. It is particularly important to make certain that the RBE for late damage is no greater than the RBE for acute injury to this organ. In the present study the LD 50 5 day following whole-body irradiation was used to measure the sentivity of the intestinal tract to acute injury. The LD 50 90 day, following irradiation of a 4 cm segment of small intestine, was used to assess late damage to this structure. Relative to X-radiation, the fast neutron RBE for late damage (1·9) did not differ significantly from the fast neutron RBE for acute injury (1·8). The mechanism of death following partial intestine irradiation with neutrons or X-radiation was associated with bowel obstruction. A neutron dose of 1·2 krad delivered to only a small segment of the small intestine produced 50% mortality within 90 days.
