To deal with the failure problem of statistical average processing based on multiple single-point positioning points in the case of multiple targets, this paper presented a new multi-target location method by position information field. Firstly, this algorithm analyzed the location precision of measuring two-dimensional direction method for aerial observation platform to emitter on the ground, and obtained the covariance matrix. Then, the algorithm got the position information field function of the emitter through the choice of different kernel function. At last, this algorithm could estimate the position and number of the emitters at the same time through the grid search technique. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the algorithm on multi-target location based on multiple location points and the better localization performance of the Gaussian type kernel function.
