This contribution is motivated by old and recent works on matrix powers and their applications on combinatorial sequences. We give in this paper the $s$-th powers and the inverses for special upper triangular matrices and the $s$-th powers for special non-triangular matrices. The used tools are Lagrange inversion formula and the partial Bell polynomials.

The aim of this work is to establish congruences $\left( \operatorname{mod}p^{2}\right) $ involving the trinomial coefficients $\binom{np-1}{p-1}_{2}$ and $\binom{np-1}{\left( p-1\right)/2}_{2}$ arising from the expansion of the powers of the polynomial $1+x+x^{2}.$ In main results we extend some known congruences involving the binomial coefficients $\binom{np-1}{p-1}$ and $\binom{np-1}{\left( p-1\right) /2}$ and establish congruences link binomial coefficients and harmonic numbers.

The aim of this paper is to give some combinatorial relations linked polynomials generalizing those of Appell type to the partial r-Bell polynomials. We give an inverse relation, recurrence relations involving some family of polynomials and their exact expressions at rational values in terms of the partial r-Bell polynomials. In this paper, we study a class of sequences of polynomials linked to the sequence of Bell polynomials. Some sequences of this class have applications on the theory of hyperbolic differential equations and other sequences generalize Laguerre polynomials and associated Lah polynomials. We discuss, for these polynomials, their explicit expressions, relations to the successive derivatives of a given function, real zeros and recurrence relations. In this paper, we investigate the umbral representation of the Fubini polynomials $F_{x}^{n}:=F_{n}(x)$ to derive some properties involving these polynomials. The chromatic polynomials are studied by several authors and have important applications in different frameworks, specially, in graph theory and enumerative combinatorics. The aim of this work is to establish some properties of the coefficients of the chromatic polynomial of a graph. Three applications on restricted Stirling numbers of the second kind are given.

In this paper, we show that the r-Stirling numbers of both kinds, the r-Whitney numbers of both kinds, the r-Lah numbers and the r-Whitney-Lah numbers form particular cases of family of polynomials forming a generalization of the partial Bell polynomials. In a previous paper, Mihoubi et al. introduced the $(r_{1},...,r_{p}) $-Stirling numbers and the $(r_{1},...,r_{p}) $-Bell polynomials and gave some of their combinatorial and algebraic properties. These numbers and polynomials generalize, respectively, the $r$-Stirling numbers of the second kind introduced by Broder and the $r$-Bell polynomials introduced by Mez\H{o}. In this paper, we prove that the $(r_{1},...,r_{p}) $-Stirling numbers of the second kind are log-concave.
