Abstract

Bound-systems of $\Xi^-$--$^{14}_{}{\rm N}$ are studied via $\Xi^-$ capture at rest followed by emission of a twin single-$\Lambda$ hypernucleus in the emulsion detectors. Two events forming extremely deep $\Xi^-$ bound states were obtained by analysis of a hybrid method in the E07 experiment at J-PARC and reanalysis of the E373 experiment at KEK-PS. The decay mode of one event was assigned as $\Xi^-+^{14}_{}{\rm N}\to^{5}_{\Lambda}{\rm He}$+$^{5}_{\Lambda}{\rm He}$+$^{4}_{}{\rm He}$+n. Since there are no excited states for daughter particles, the binding energy of the $\Xi^-$ hyperon, $B_{\Xi^-}$, in $^{14}_{}{\rm N}$ nucleus was uniquely determined to be 6.27 $\pm$ 0.27 MeV. Another $\Xi^-$--$^{14}_{}{\rm N}$ system via the decay $^{9}_{\Lambda}{\rm Be}$ + $^{5}_{\Lambda}{\rm He}$ + n brings a $B_{\Xi^-}$ value, 8.00 $\pm$ 0.77 MeV or 4.96 $\pm$ 0.77 MeV, where the two possible values of $B_{\Xi^-}$ correspond to the ground and the excited states of the daughter $^{9}_{\Lambda}{\rm Be}$ nucleus, respectively. Because the $B_{\Xi^-}$ values are larger than those of the previously reported events (KISO and IBUKI), which are both interpreted as the nuclear $1p$ state of the $\Xi^-$--$^{14}_{}{\rm N}$ system, these new events give the first indication of the nuclear $1s$ state of the $\Xi$ hypernucleus, $^{15}_{\Xi}{\rm C}$., Comment: 26 pages, 7 figures

Abstract

In an emulsion-counter hybrid experiment performed at J-PARC, a $\Xi^-$ absorption event was observed which decayed into twin single-$\Lambda$ hypernuclei. Kinematic calculations enabled a unique identification of the reaction process as $\Xi^{-} + ^{14}$N$\ \rightarrow\ ^{10}_\Lambda$Be + $^5_\Lambda$He. For the binding energy of the $\Xi^{-}$ hyperon in the $\Xi^-$-$^{14}$N system a value of $1.27 \pm 0.21$ MeV was deduced. The energy level of $\Xi^-$ is likely a nuclear $1p$ state which indicates a weak ${\Xi}N$-$\Lambda\Lambda$ coupling.

Abstract

A double-$\Lambda$ hypernucleus, ${}_{\Lambda\Lambda}\mathrm{Be}$, was observed by the J-PARC E07 collaboration in nuclear emulsions tagged by the $(K^{-},K^{+})$ reaction. This event was interpreted as a production and decay of $ {}_{\Lambda\Lambda}^{\;10}\mathrm{Be}$, ${}_{\Lambda\Lambda}^{\;11}\mathrm{Be}$, or ${}_{\Lambda\Lambda}^{\;12}\mathrm{Be}^{*}$ via $\Xi^{-}$ capture in ${}^{16}\mathrm{O}$. By assuming the capture in the atomic 3D state, the binding energy of two $\Lambda$ hyperons$\,$($B_{\Lambda\Lambda}$) of these double-$\Lambda$ hypernuclei are obtained to be $15.05 \pm 0.11\,\mathrm{MeV}$, $19.07 \pm 0.11\,\mathrm{MeV}$, and $13.68 \pm 0.11\,\mathrm{MeV}$, respectively. Based on the kinematic fitting, ${}_{\Lambda\Lambda}^{\;11}\mathrm{Be}$ is the most likely explanation for the observed event., Comment: 11 pages, 3 figures

Abstract

The ${}^{12}\mathrm{C}(\alpha,\gamma){}^{16}\mathrm{O}$ reaction plays a key role in the evolution of stars with masses of $M >$ 0.55 $M_\odot$. The cross-section of the ${}^{12}\mathrm{C}(\alpha,\gamma){}^{16}\mathrm{O}$ reaction within the Gamow window ($E_\textrm{c.m.}$ = 300 keV, $T_\textrm9$ = 0.2) is extremely small (about $10^{-17}$ barn), which makes the direct measurement in a ground-based laboratory with existing techniques unfeasible. Up until now, the cross-sections at lower energies can only be extrapolated from the data at higher energies. However, two subthreshold resonances, located at $E_x$ = 7.117 MeV and $E_x$ = 6.917 MeV, make this extrapolation more complicated. In this work, the 6.917 MeV subthreshold resonance in the ${}^{12}\mathrm{C}(\alpha,\gamma){}^{16}\mathrm{O}$ reaction was investigated via the ${}^{12}\mathrm{C}({}^{11}\mathrm{B},{}^{7}\mathrm{Li}){}^{16}\mathrm{O}$ reaction. The experiment was performed using the Q3D magnetic spectrograph at the HI-13 tandem accelerator. We measured the angular distribution of the ${}^{12}\mathrm{C}({}^{11}\mathrm{B},{}^{7}\mathrm{Li}){}^{16}\mathrm{O}$ transfer reaction leading to the 6.917 MeV state. Based on the FRDWBA analysis, we derived the asymptotic normalization coefficient (ANC) of the 6.917 MeV level in $^{16}$O to be (1.10 $\pm$ 0.29) $\times 10^{10}$ fm$^{-1}$, with which the reduced $\alpha$ width was computed to be $18.0\pm4.7$ keV at the channel radius of 6.5 fm. Finally, we calculated the astrophysical $S_{E2}(300)$ factor of the ground-state transitions to be 46.2 $\pm$ 7.7 keV b. The result for the astrophysical $S_{E2}(300)$ factor confirms the values obtained in various direct and indirect measurements and presents an independent examination of the most important data in nuclear astrophysics., Comment: submitted to Physical Review C

Abstract

Los Licenciados en Derecho, entre otros, tienen la oportunidad de desarrollarse como empleadores ya que pueden otorgar diversos servicios jurídicos y contribuir a la generación de empleos que coadyuven con el desarrollo económico y social del país. El objetivo fue diagnosticar el grado de capacidad emprendedora en estudiantes de una Institución Educativa Superior, cuyo beneficio radica en la permeabilidad que tiene este estudio para ser aplicado en otros programas. Esta investigación es de tipo cuantitativo, con alcance descriptivo y de corte transversal. El instrumento utilizado refleja cuatro dimensiones: capacidad de relacionarse socialmente, de realización personal, creatividad y de planificación con cinco opciones de respuesta tipo Likert. Entre los resultados obtenidos muestran que los sujetos poseen una capacidad alta en la variable de realización personal que obtuvo la media más alta (3.98), planificación (3.94), creatividad (3.87) y una capacidad media en poder relacionarse socialmente (3.68).

Abstract

The 12C(α,γ)16O reaction is one of the most crucial reactions in nuclear astrophysics. The E2 external capture to the 16O ground state (GS) has not been emphasized in previous analyses but may make a significant contribution to the 12C(α,γ)16O cross section depending on the value of the GS asymptotic normalization coefficient (ANC). In the present work, we determine this ANC to be 337±45 fm-1/2 through the 12C(11B,7Li)16O reaction using a high-precision magnetic spectrograph. This sheds light on the existing large discrepancy of more than 2 orders of magnitude between the previously reported ANC values. Based on the new ANC, we experimentally constrain the GS external capture and show that through interference with the high energy tail of the 2+ subthreshold state, a substantial enhancement in the GS SE2(300) factor can be obtained (70±7 keV b) compared to that of a recent review (45 keV b), resulting in an increase of the total S factor from 140 to 162 keV b, which is now in good agreement with the value obtained by reproducing supernova nucleosynthesis calculations with the solar-system abundances. Abstract

Enriched targets of 116,118,120,122,124SnO2 were bombarded with proton and deuteron beams, and the angular distributions of (p,d) and (d,p) on tin isotopes were accurately measured using the high-precision Q3D magnetic spectrograph at the Beijing HI-13 tandem accelerator of the China Institute of Atomic Energy. Distorted-wave Born approximation calculations were performed to extract the neutron spectroscopic factors (SFs) using two different sets of systematic optical potential parameters for these neutron transfer reactions. The SFs of 116-125Sn were obtained and compared to previous values. Our results are consistent with the average of the previous data within the error range. It is worth noting that the reaction products corresponding to 119SnG.S. and 119Sn*0.024, to 123SnG.S. and 123Sn*0.025, and to 125SnG.S. and 125Sn*0.028 were first distinguished by the present experiment; therefore, our results of the low lying states of 119,123,125Sn are more reliable. However, the first excited state of 121Sn is only 0.006 MeV; we failed to identify the products that correspond to the ground state and the first excited state, and the extracted SFs of 120SnG.S.⊗n→121Sn0.006. and 121Sn0.006⊗n→122SnG.S are not reliable. A simple linear formula was used to analyze the relationship of SFs with neutron separation energy Sn(N) and the even-A Sn pairing gap Δ(N), and SFs are found to be positively correlated to Sn(N) and Δ(N). Abstract

The 12C(α,γ)16O reaction plays a key role in the evolution of stars with masses of M>0.55M⊙. The cross-section of the 12C(α,γ)16O reaction within the Gamow window (Ec.m.=300keV, T9=0.2) is extremely small (about 10-17 barn), which makes the direct measurement in a ground-based laboratory with existing techniques unfeasible. Up until now, the cross-sections at lower energies can only be extrapolated from the data at higher energies. However, two subthreshold resonances, located at Ex=7.117MeV and Ex=6.917MeV, make this extrapolation more complicated. In this work, the 6.917 MeV subthreshold resonance in the 12C(α,γ)16O reaction was investigated via the 12C(11B,7Li)16O reaction. The experiment was performed using the Q3D magnetic spectrograph at the HI-13 tandem accelerator. We measured the angular distribution of the 12C(11B,7Li)16O transfer reaction leading to the 6.917 MeV state. Based on the finite-range distorted wave Born approximation (FRDWBA) and coupled-reaction-channel (CRC) analysis, we derived the asymptotic normalization coefficient (ANC) of the 6.917 MeV level in 16O to be (1.10±0.29) ×1010fm-1, with which the reduced α width was computed to be 18.0±4.7keV at the channel radius of 6.5 fm. Finally, we calculated the astrophysical SE2(300) factor of the ground-state transitions to be 46.2 ± 7.7 keV b. The result for the astrophysical SE2(300) factor confirms the values obtained in various direct and indirect measurements and presents an independent examination of the most important data in nuclear astrophysics. Abstract

Several zirconium isotopes are in the path of slow neutron capture (s) process, and the direct components of (n,γ) reactions can be derived from their neutron spectroscopic factors. In the present work, the angular distributions of (12C,13C) and (13C,12C) reactions on targets 90,92,94,96Zr were obtained using the high-precision Q3D magnetic spectrograph at the Beijing HI-13 tandem accelerator in China Institute of Atomic Energy. Abstract

In an emulsion-counter hybrid experiment performed at J-PARC, a Ξ^{-} absorption event was observed which decayed into twin single-Λ hypernuclei. Kinematic calculations enabled a unique identification of the reaction process as Ξ^{-}+^{14}N→_{Λ}^{10}Be+_{Λ}^{5}He. For the binding energy of the Ξ^{-} hyperon in the Ξ^{-}-^{14}N system a value of 1.27±0.21  MeV was deduced. The energy level of Ξ^{-} is likely a nuclear 1p state which indicates a weak ΞN-ΛΛ coupling.
