Simple Summary: There have been few studies on the use of umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells as donor nuclei in nuclear transplantation, despite their advantages of less reprogramming difficulty and shorter reprogramming distance. This study compared differences at the chromatin level, the level of differentially expressed genes, the level of histone modifications, and the level of DNA methylation in eight-cell embryos after using umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells and fibroblasts as nucleus donors, using a single-cell transcriptome. Oocytes are efficient at reprogramming terminally differentiated cells to a totipotent state. Nuclear transfer techniques can exploit this property to produce cloned animals. However, the overall efficiency is low. The use of umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (UC-MSCs) as donor nuclei may increase blastocyst rates, but the exact reasons for this remain unexplored. A single-cell transcriptomic approach was used to map the transcriptome profiles of eight-cell embryos that were in vitro-fertilized and handmade-cloned using umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells and fibroblasts as nuclear donors. Differences were examined at the chromatin level, the level of differentially expressed genes, the level of histone modifications and the level of DNA methylation. This research provides critical information regarding the use of UC-MSCs as a preferred donor nucleus for nuclear transfer techniques. A facile approach for ultrasensitively sensing tris(2,3-dibromopropyl) isocyanurate (TBC) was reported. Based on coupling molecularly imprinting with electropolymerization of ο-phenylenediamine (OPD), which is electro-active monomers, the poly-OPD film was deposited in an OPD solution by potentiodynamic cycling of potential (scan rate is 50mV/s) on a glassy carbon electrode. Using K3[Fe(CN)6] as an electro-active marker, the properties of the TBC imprinting electrode were investigated by differential pulse voltammetry and amperometric i-t curve and exhibited an excellent imprinting effect. The results showed that a linear relationship between the value of peak current and the TBC concentration was found in the range of 1.4×10−12~6.7×10−12 mol/L and a low detection limit of 6.26×10−13 mol/L for TBC determination.

Here a single-phase proton- and electron-conducting metal–organic coordination polymer (MOCP) electrocatalyst for the CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR) was constructed by using Ag as the metal center and 1H-1,2,3-triazole (Tz) as the ligand. To evaluate the effects of tuning the conductivity of Ag-MOCP on CO2RR performances, another Ag-MOCP was selected for comparison by using 1H-benzotriazole (Btz) as the ligand. The proton conductivity for Ag-MOCP-Tz is 2.3 × 10−7 S cm−1, 70-fold that for Ag-MOCP-Btz with 3.3 × 10−9 S cm−1 at 25 °C and 98% RH. And the electron conductivity of Ag-MOCP-Tz (3.57 × 10−7 S cm−1) is 120 times that of Ag-MOCP-Btz (2.96 × 10−9 S cm−1) at 25 °C. Meanwhile the FECO of Ag-MOCP-Tz is 85.9% at −0.98 V vs. RHE, which is better than that of Ag-MOCP-Btz with 65.4%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

To lower CO2 emissions and address the current energy crisis, one of the most promising approaches that converting the captured CO2 into valuable chemicals and fuels via electrocatalysis is proposed recently. Metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) as an emerging multifunctional material have been extensively designed for electrocatalytic reduction of CO2. In terms of chemical and structural properties, 2D MOFs have obvious superiority over 3D bulk MOFs. Specifically, the large porosity and ultrathin structure of the 2D materials contribute to exotic properties such as enhanced electrical conductivity and rapid mass transport during reactions, which are in favor of electrocatalysis. In this review, the design strategies of 2D MOFs are discussed. Then, the recent advances of MOFs and their derivative catalysts with unique 2D structures for CO2 reduction are introduced. These examples are expected to provide clues to rational design strategies and synthesis of high‐performance CO2 electroreduction, beyond the bulk MOFs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This work reports the compounds [Zn2(bdc)2dabco] (ZBDh) and [Zn2(bdc)2dabco] (ZBDt) and their composite Eu2O3@[Zn2(bdc)2dabco] (ZBDh) synthesized by pulsed laser ablation in flowing liquid. At an appropriate reactant concentration, phase ZDBh transforms into phase ZDBt by an increase of the irradiation time from 4 to 40 min. The results show that the Eu2O3 nanoparticles with an average size of 3.17 nm are uniformly distributed throughout the crystal and the BET specific surface area of the composite Eu2O3@[Zn2(bdc)2dabco] (ZBDh) is 1621 m2 g−1, which is larger than that of compound [Zn2(bdc)2dabco] (ZBDh). Moreover, the composite Eu2O3@[Zn2(bdc)2dabco] (ZBDh) can emit very intense characteristic fluorescence at 613 nm of the Eu3+ ion under ultraviolet radiation and can be used for detecting methanol molecules in fluorescence sensing because its fluorescence intensity at 613 nm is sensitive to the content of methanol in solvent. SnO 2 porous nanotubes containing oxygen vacancies were prepared by electron spinning and H plasma treatment. The morphology and crystal structure of the samples were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The ethanol-sensing properties of the SnO 2 sensor were tested. The results show that the samples treated with H plasma for 20 min have the best performance. Its working temperature is 2 3 0 ∘ C lower than 2 9 0 ∘ C of the original sample, with a sensitivity of 17 at 100 ppm, which is seven times higher than the original sample. It also shows good selectivity to some common interfering gases. This enhancement can be ascribed to the introduced oxygen vacancy.
