1. A Critical Discourse Analysis Study of Reduplication in Some Selected English Newspapers Headlines

Abstract

The main problem of the current study concentrates on applying critical discourse analysis to examine textual, discoursal and social features of reduplication in some selected English newspaper headlines. The main aim of the current study is to analyze the linguistic features of reduplication by adopting Fairclough's three-dimensional model (2001). This study sets forth the following hypotheses: (1) English headline – newspapers comprise various textual, discoursal and social features ;(2)the model of analysis is best suited for the current study.To achieve the aims and verify the hypotheses, a critical discourse analysis approach is used represented by Fairclough's socio-cultural approach (2001).The present study has examined the use of reduplication in some English (British and American newspaper headlines) including The Guardian, The Washington Post, The Telegraph, The Observer, and The Financial Times. The main conclusions that this paper arrived at are :(a) the newspaper headlines have been described by employing more informal and simple vocabulary;(b) the style of writing is described as having clarity, directness, and freshness;(c) the editors of these newspapers use concrete, specific, and common words to convince their reader;(d)the semantic interpretation reveals that lexical features include collocation, synonymy and metaphor to reinforce language of persuasion;(e) the syntactic analysis shows that the most frequent tenses are simple present tense with active voice construction;(f) the morphological analysis unveils that editors use different reduplications to meet the purpose of their articles; and (g) the current social analysis reveals that the editors use different dates, occasions, venues and political figures.

7. JSLess: A Tale of a Fileless Javascript Memory-Resident Malware

Abstract

New computing paradigms, modern feature-rich programming languages and off-the-shelf software libraries enabled the development of new sophisticated malware families. Evidence of this phenomena is the recent growth of fileless malware attacks. Fileless malware or memory resident malware is an example of an Advanced Volatile Threat (AVT). In a fileless malware attack, the malware writes itself directly onto the main memory (RAM) of the compromised device without leaving any trace on the compromised device's file system. For this reason, fileless malware presents a difficult challenge for traditional malware detection tools and in particular signature-based detection. Moreover, fileless malware forensics and reverse engineering are nearly impossible using traditional methods. The majority of fileless malware attacks in the wild take advantage of MS PowerShell, however, fileless malware are not limited to MS PowerShell. In this paper, we designed and implemented a fileless malware by taking advantage of new features in Javascript and HTML5. The proposed fileless malware could infect any device that supports Javascript and HTML5. It serves as a proof-of-concept (PoC) to demonstrate the threats of fileless malware in web applications. We used the proposed fileless malware to evaluate existing methods and techniques for malware detection in web applications. We tested the proposed fileless malware with several free and commercial malware detection tools that apply both static and dynamic analysis. The proposed fileless malware bypassed all the anti-malware detection tools included in our study. 18. (An Analysis of the Content of the Holy Qur’an and Islamic Education For The Second intermediate According to the Skills of Imaginative Thinking

Abstract

This current paper analyzes the book of the Holy Quran and Islamic Education for the second intermediate, according to their performance of the imaginative thinking skills (2021-2022) by answering the following question: What are the imaginative thinking skills included in the content of the Holy Qur’an and Islamic education book for the second intermediate grade and the transactions of the Ministry of Education / General Directorate of Curricula in the academic year (2021-2022 )? For the purpose of the research objective, the researcher relied on the educational literature related to the topic of the research and previous studies in imaginative thinking skills in order to prepare a list that includes (3) sub-skills, (11) sub-skills, and (28) an indicator that pertains to all skills. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method for its appropriateness to the objectives of the research. He used the book of the Holy Qur’an and Islamic Education for the second grade average for his research and used it as a sample, which was approved for the academic year (2021-2022 AD), then the researcher analyzed this textbook, and relied on the (explicit and implicit) curriculum. The validity of the analysis is achieved using a random sample of the group of jury members. Reliability is achieved by agreement with external jury members after a period of analysis using ‘Cooper’ formula. The researcher was reached in achieving the book of the Noble Qur’an and Islamic Education for the second grade, an average of (668) recurrences and at a rate of (20%), for all results the researcher recommended the following: Imaginative thinking skills section in the book of the Noble Qur’an and Islamic Education for the second intermediate grade is selected. The researcher has suggested, analyzing the Holy Qur’an and Islamic education book for different stages, and teaching areas according to imaginative thinking skills.

Abstract

A Circular Polarization (CP) Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) system was used in this study with additional components for contemporary communication systems developed. There are 4 elements in the model. On the printed circuit board, each element has a dual-fed with two ports positioned at each of the four corners of smart devices (PCB). A Rogers RO3003 substrate with a dielectric structure size of (64.59 × 64.59) mm². geometrical shape 50-Ohm microstrip lines are used to feed the antenna ports. To accomplish polarization and variety properties, microstrip feed lines are positioned orthogonally. According to the paradigm results, the operational frequency for each port was 4.25 GHz, and the system's operating frequency was 4.23 GHz while diversity gains (DG) of the MIMO antennas were about 10, the gain was suitable (around 7 dB), and Less than 0.0001 was the envelope correlation coefficient (ECC). Additionally, the outcomes demonstrate that the MIMO system may operate in a sub-6 band that is ideal for smart device applications. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Wideband Multi-Input & Multi-Output (MIMO) antenna is receiving increasing demand in the market which owns small size, low profile, and inexpensive for wireless applications all over the world. In this paper, we proposed a new design for the quad-ports MIMO antenna that simulates the development in various wireless systems. This antenna has several features that distinguish it from antennas designed in other recent literature. The most important of these features is that it is very size small as it contains two antenna elements and it outputs quad-ports, and this scenario is expected to be followed in the manufacture of fifth-generation (5G) and future sixth-generation (6G) antennas. In addition, it operates in Millimeter-Waves (MmWaves) bands that are wide, and multiple at a range from 30 to 70 GHz. The structure scenario for the proposed antenna is a sliced rectangle with herringbone strips and its dimensions (12×14×3.35 mm3). In this work, we focused on the important standard parameters to determine the proposed MIMO antenna performance efficiency which are Reflection Coefficient (CC), Transmission Coefficient, Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR), Envelope Correlation Coefficient (ECC), and Diversity Gain (ÐƓ). According to the measurements results, it was shown that the antenna gives its best output at six resonant frequencies: 34.16, 39.68, 40.96, 46.4, 55.92, and 65.08 GHz. We noticed that the CC for these frequencies is -19.375, -33.796, -35.415, -47.801, -33.277, and -35.535 dB, respectively. In addition, we noticed that the isolation ratio between the ports is good as the maximum isolation is -63.583 dB at 44.2 GHz. Whereas, the VSWR value is approximate 1. Moreover, the ECC value is <0.012 and the ÐƓ value is up to 10 dB. All these good results compared to the results of antennas presented in recent work by other researchers, our antenna will be an ideal candidate for various modern wireless systems in the 5G and future 6G. 35. Induced Electromagnetic Fields on Underground Cable Due to Lightning-Struck Wind Tower

Abstract

In regions having high activity of lightning flashes, it is important to investigate the lightning-induced electromagnetic (EM) transients affecting buried cables, particularly if such buried conductors are extending close to grounded towers, such as wind towers. In this article, the impact of the grounded wind tower, ground conductivity and permittivity, depth of the cable, and its position from the return stroke on the lightning-induced EM fields on the cable sheath are investigated. In addition, the lightning-induced EM fields on the cable sheath are also calculated with the presence of bare-underground wire above the cable as a protection against lightning strikes. The 3-D finite difference time domain method with nonuniform grid technique is implemented for this study. From the results, it is shown that the presence of wind tower increases the magnitude of lightning-induced EM fields on the cable sheath, particularly for close distances between cable and tower. Moreover, the impact of soil permittivity on lightning-induced EM surges becomes significant for low soil conductivity. Also, the impact of cable depth becomes more significant for higher soil conductivity. Furthermore, the bare-underground wire reduces the magnitude of lightning-induced electric field.

36. High Performance MIMO Array Antenna for 5G Systems.

Abstract

With the rising need for high-speed data rates, the fifth generation (5G) has emerged as the dominant technology within the telecommunications systems field. One of the most aspects of designing such high-capacity, lowlatency, and adaptable systems is antenna design. In this article, we presented a two-element MIMO (multi-input & multi-output) antenna that has good advantages in terms of its small size (19 x 23 x 1.6 mm³ ) and operates in several wide frequency bands from 1 GHz to 18 GHz. Two models were created for this antenna design. The first was simulated using CST Studio, while the second was based on realistic manufacturing. As a result, the discussions on all parameters were selected for the performance diagnosis of the proposed antenna. We observed the antenna operating at four main resonance frequencies (4.5 GHz, 9 GHz, 13 GHz, and 17 GHz). So, the S-Parameter is < -10 dB at all frequencies from 1 GHz to 18 GHz. In addition, we noticed that the isolation ratio among the elements in a MIMO antenna composition reaches -70 dB when using Spatial and Separated Ground. Furthermore, this antenna has a gain between 3 dB and 9.8 dB and an overall efficiency between 70 % and 98 % for all frequency bands. Abstract

The demand for the array antenna that consists of multiple ports has increased in recent years, because of its main importance in reducing noise and interference between users. In this paper, we propose a new method for designing an 8×8 (16-ports) multi-input and multi-output (MIMO) antenna. This method relied on the Micro Strip mechanism so that we presented a small antenna that operates at wide and multi-bands of millimeter waves (Mm-Waves). Abstract

In the era of wireless network communication, the demand for determining the best transmitter (Tx) location is constantly increasing especially in outdoor environments and localization-based services. In this paper, localization optimal location of a Tx has been achieved in electrical engineering technical college by using received signal strength (RSS). We install practical devices in the college to measure the received signal strength in all the college regions. Where each device consists of two pieces which are the AirMAX sector directional antenna and signal broadcast piece (router board). We measured RSS in four directions for each received point in all selected regions using the NetSpot software. An algorithm was created in MATLAB software to determine the average received power (ARP), average signal quality (ASQ) as well as calculate the average coverage (AC) for each Tx device location based on the locations deployed in the real environment. Overall, the results obtained showed that this algorithm effectively demonstrated that it is able to determine the best location of a Tx device compared to other deployed locations in the college. Furthermore, we find large effects when a Tx location changes from one location to another on the RSS because of the surrounding environment effects.

48. Design a MIMO printed dipole antenna for 5G sub-band applications

Abstract

In this paper, a planar multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) dipole antenna for a future sub-6 GHz 5G application is proposed. The planar MIMO structure consists of 4 antenna elements with an overall size of 150×82×1 mm3 . The single antenna element is characterized by a size of 32.5×33.7×1 mm3 printed on an FR-4 dielectric substrate with εr=4.4 and tanδ=0.02. The suggested antenna structure exhibits good impedance bandwidth equal to 3.24 GHz starting from 3.3 to 6.6 GHz with an S11 value of less than -10 dB (S11≤-10 dB) with antenna gain varying from 5.2 up to 7.05 dB in the entire band, which covers all the sub-6 GHz frequency band of the 5G application. Good isolation is achieved between the MIMO elements due to low surface waves inside the MIMO antenna substrate. The radiation of the MIMO antenna structure can be manipulated and many beam-types can be achieved as desired. The high-frequency structure simulator (HFSS) software package is used to design and simulate the proposed structure, while the CST MWS is used to validate the results.
