This study presents a high boost DC–DC converter, integrates voltage multiplier cell, voltage lift capacitor, and coupled-inductor techniques to achieve a high-voltage gain. The proposed topology has the capability of extension without utilising any additional winding for a very large voltage conversion ratio. With utilising a passive clamp circuit and without requiring higher duty cycle values, the suggested converter obtains a large conversion ratio, low conduction losses, and reduced voltage stress of semiconductors with a steady value for the whole range of duty cycle. The converter operation principle is discussed and its steady-state operation is analysed in detail. Also, theoretic efficiency calculation and design guidelines of the topology are explained. Then, the proposed DC–DC converter is compared with similar configurations to indicate its advantages. Eventually, the validity of theoretic analysis is verified using experimental measurement results of the implemented prototype with a power rating of 226 W.

A single-switch high boost DC–DC converter is introduced in this work. In the suggested topology, a voltage multiplier cell and three-winding coupled inductor (CL) are integrated to obtain an ultra-large conversion ratio. Using a passive clamp circuit and also, no requirement of larger duty cycle values enable the converter to have a very high voltage gain, low conduction loss, and reduced voltage stress of semiconductors. Moreover, the leakage inductance of the CL alleviated diodes reverse recovery problem. Some important merits include ultra-high voltage gain, operating in low duty cycles, reduced voltage stress of semiconductors, continuous input current, high efficiency, and low turn ratio of the CL makes the introduced converter very suitable for renewable energy applications. Steady-state analysis and operation principles of the presented topology are expressed completely in the study. Moreover, the theoretical efficiency analysis and design guidelines of the suggested configuration are presented. Also, the superiority of the presented topology over the state-of-the-art similar DC–DC converters is demonstrated in the comparison study. Eventually, the validity of theoretical analysis is verified using experimental measurement results of the implemented prototype with a power rating of 240 W and an output voltage of 440 V.

This article introduces a single-switch, high step-up, dc-dc converter based on coupled-inductor with three winding and voltage multiplier cell to obtain a very high-voltage conversion ratio. A passive clamp circuit is applied in the converter to recycle the energy of leakage inductance and reduce voltage stress of the main power switch. This leads to utilize a power switch with low on-state resistance and low voltage rating that decreases the conduction losses. Several advantages include low operating duty cycle, high voltage conversion ratio, low turn ratio of the coupled inductor, leakage inductance reverse recovery, reduced voltage stress of semiconductors, alleviation of diodes reverse recovery issue and high efficiency, which make the presented topology appropriate for sustainable energy applications such as photovoltaic systems. The operation principle and steady-state analysis of the suggested topology in continuous conduction mode are expressed in detail. Also, design procedure and theoretical efficiency analysis of the proposed topology are presented. Moreover, a comparison study is performed to demonstrate the superiority of the presented converter over several similar recently proposed dc-dc converters. Finally, the proposed dc-dc converter feasibility and performance are justified through a fabricated 216-W laboratory prototype at 50 kHz switching frequency.

This study proposes two configurations for a non-isolated, high step-up, single-switch, coupled-inductor-based DC–DC converter. Finally, the performance and feasibility of the proposed DC–DC converter configurations are confirmed through experimental measurement results of 29 V input and 435 V/213 W and 480 V/238 W output laboratory prototypes at 50 kHz switching frequency.

A high-efficiency and a high conversion gain DC-DC converter is introduced in this paper to apply sustainable energy sources into dc nano-grid. The introduced topology takes the property of the coupled inductor (CL) method to obtain a declined voltage stress of the semiconductor devices and high voltage conversion ratio. The MOSFET voltage stress is remarkably decreased constracted to the output high voltage. Thus, a low on resistance MOSFET and low rating voltage is used to increase the efficiency of the suggested topology. Moreover, the CL application obviates the reverse recovery losses of diodes. The steady-state analysis and operation principle of the suggested configuration are elaborated. Besides, the introduced configuration superiority is illustrated over many alike most momentous recently proposed DC-DC configurations in the section 5. The simulation results demonstrate coherence with the theoretical study with a 340 V output voltage and a 340 W output power. The topology demonstrates a 96.5% peak conversion efficiency.

This paper proposes a new single-switch high step-up DC-DC converter, combines voltage multiplier cell (VMC), and a coupled-inductor (CL) to obtain an ultra-large voltage gain. Turn ratio of CL and duty cycle together determine the converter voltage conversion ratio, so it can obtain any wanted voltage without the converter to operate at the inappropriate duty cycles. In the structure of the converter, with utilization of the clamp circuit, the voltage spikes across the switch are declined remarkably. So, we can select switch with lower R DS(on) and voltage rating which declines conduction losses and reduce costs. Moreover, the energy of the CL leakage inductance is recycled which increases the efficiency of the converter. The suggested topology input current ripple is very low which is a very important factor for renewable energy systems such as PVs. The presented topology steady-state analysis and operation principle are expressed completely in this paper. Also, the superiority of the suggested topology is demonstrated over several similar most important recently presented DC-DC topologies in the comparison study. Eventually, the validity of theoretical analysis is verified using simulation results with a power rating of 300 W and an output voltage of 404 V.

In this paper, a high step-up, single switch, non-isolated, coupled inductor based DC-DC converter is proposed for sustainable energy applications. A high voltage gain is achieved by applying a coupled inductor and two voltage multiplier cells in the structure of proposed converter. The passive clamp that is connected to the main switch recovers the coupled inductor leakage inductance energy and limits the voltage spike on the power switch. Thus, low on-state resistance of the power switch can be adapted to decrease the conduction loss. The features such as coupled inductor with a low turn ratio, high voltage conversion ratio in suitable duty cycles, , high efficiency, recycled energy of leakage inductor and low voltage stress on the power switches and diodes make the presented converter appropriate for sustainable energy applications. The steady state analysis and voltage stress of the power switch and diodes of the converter are expressed in detail. Finally, simulation results in PSIM software have been presented to confirm the performance of the suggested structure.

In this paper, a novel non-isolated multi-input DC-DC converter (MIC) with high voltage gain has been presented. The presented topology comprises of simple high gain units. The main merits of the proposed topology are continuous current of input sources and possibility of using input sources of different voltage-current characteristics. Duty cycle of each unit can be specified independently and the amount of desired output voltage can be achieved. This topology has a simple switching pattern and the switching frequency can be selected high as well. The number of input units can be increased thus the stress of the switches is decreased as the duty ratio can be selected lower for each unit. The proposed topology is also appropriate for renewable energy sources’ applications and in order to validate the performance of the aforementioned merits, two units of multi-input DC-DC converter topology has been simulated in PSCAD/EMTDC software. Simulation results confirm the valid performance of the proposed topology.

This paper proposes a new high-efficiency, non-isolated, interleaved DC-DC converter. The suggested structure consists of two interleaved modified step-up KY converters, to obtain a high voltage conversion ratio without the use of coupled inductors. The presented converter has a higher voltage gain than traditional interleaved boost, CUK, buck-boost, ZETA and SEPIC converters, and in suitable duty cycles, a high voltage conversion ratio can be obtained for the converter. Voltage stress of the power switches and diodes is low. Therefore, switches with low on-state resistance and low conduction losses can be used to enhance efficiency. Moreover, with the utilization of interleaving techniques the ripple of input current in the suggested topology is reduced. The steady-state analysis and operating principles of the suggested topology are expressed in this paper. Finally, in order to verify theoretical analysis and performance of the proposed converter, experimental measurement results are presented.
