We conducted a single-arm, open-label, single-center phase I study (Clinicaltrials.gov NCT03984968) to assess the safety and efficacy of multicycle-sequential anti-CD19 CAR T-cell therapy in combination with autologous CD19+ feeding T cells (FTCs) and TKI as consolidation therapy in patients under the age of 65 years with de novo Ph-positive CD19+ B-ALL who are not eligible for allo-HSCT. Participants were given induction chemotherapy as well as systemic chemotherapy with TKI. Afterward, they received a single cycle of CD19 CAR T-cell infusion and another three cycles of CD19 CAR T-cell and CD19+ FTC infusions, followed by TKI as consolidation therapy. CD19+ FTCs were given at three different doses: (2×106/kg, 3.25×106/kg, and 5×106/kg). The phase I results of the first 15 patients, including 2 withdrawals, are presented. Phase II research is still ongoing. The most common adverse events were cytopenia (13/13) and hypogammaglobinemia (12/13). There were no CRS above grade 2 or ICANS, or grade 4 nonhematologic toxicities. All 13 patients achieved CR, including 12 patients with CMR at the data cutoff on Mar 31, 2022. The RFS was 84% (95% CI, 66%-100%), and the OS was 83% (95% CI, 58%-100%) with a median follow-up of 27 months (7-57 months). The total number of CD19-expressing cells decreased with an increasing CMR rate. CD19 CAR T cells survived for up to 40 months, whereas CD19+ FTCs vanished in 8 patients 3 months after the last infusion. These findings merit further evaluation and could form the basis for the development of an allo-HSCT-free consolidation paradigm.

While the slope of the dust attenuation curve ($\delta$) is found to correlate with effective dust attenuation ($A_V$) as obtained through spectral energy distribution (SED) fitting, it remains unknown how the fitting degeneracies shape this relation. We examine the degeneracy effects by fitting SEDs of a sample of local star-forming galaxies (SFGs) selected from the Galaxy And Mass Assembly survey, in conjunction with mock galaxy SEDs of known attenuation parameters. A well-designed declining starburst star formation history is adopted to generate model SED templates with intrinsic UV slope ($\beta_0$) spanning over a reasonably wide range. To compare the clinical efficacy and safety of hypomenthylating agents (HMA) combined with Venetoclax (VEN) and half dose priming regimen (CAG-like) in the treatment of elderly patients with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who were not suitable for intensive chemotherapy.The clinical data of 43 newly diagnosed elderly patients with AML who were not suitable for intensive chemotherapy in our hospital from April 2019 to October 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. Among them, 16 cases received HMA-VEN regimen and 27 cases received HMA-CAG-like regimen. The remission rate, early mortality and survival were compared between the two groups. And, the patients were grouped according to HCT-CI score. As the growing criterion of electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorption materials, micro/nano-scale magnetic materials are drawing more and more attention for their unique features compared to bulky absorbers. Generally, the complex permeability of micro/nano-scale magnetic absorbers varies in a relatively narrow range, whatever for the storage of magnetic energy or the dissipation of magnetic energy. If so, how the small variation of permeability affects the ultimate performances is still unclear. Here, a strategy of electromagnetic parameters regulation for the magnetic materials is applied to understand the loss contribution in micro/nanoscale magnetic absorbers. After analyzing the evolution of electromagnetic maps of ten ferrosoferric oxide samples, it can be found that the dissipation contribution of permeability for magnetic materials is weaker than that of permittivity, in spite of its significant role in determining the impedance matching characteristics. In summary, this work systematically explores the loss contribution in micro/nano-magnetic absorbers for the first time, which is of great importance in designing and optimizing the microwave absorption properties of magnetic absorbers.

Submillimetre galaxies represent a rapid growth phase of both star formation and massive galaxies. Mapping SMGs in galaxy protoclusters provides key insights into where and how these extreme starbursts take place in connections with the assembly of the large-scale structure in the early Universe. We search for SMGs at 850$\,\mu m$ using JCMT/SCUBA-2 in two massive protoclusters at $z=2.24$, BOSS1244 and BOSS1542, and detect 43 and 54 sources with $S_{850}>4\,$mJy at the $4\sigma$ level within an effective area of 264$\,$arcmin$^2$, respectively. We construct the intrinsic number counts and find that the abundance of SMGs is $2.0\pm0.3$ and $2.1\pm0.2$ times that of the general fields, confirming that BOSS1244 and BOSS1542 contain a higher fraction of dusty galaxies with strongly enhanced star formation. The volume densities of the SMGs are estimated to be $\sim15-$30 times the average, significantly higher than the overdensity factor ($\sim 6$) traced by H$\alpha$ emission-line galaxies (HAEs). More importantly, we discover a prominent offset between the spatial distributions of the two populations in these two protoclusters -- SMGs are mostly located around the high-density regions of HAEs, and few are seen inside these regions. This finding may have revealed for the first time the occurrence of violent star formation enhancement in the outskirts of the HAE density peaks, likely driven by the boosting of gas supplies and/or starburst triggering events. Meanwhile, the lack of SMGs inside the most overdense regions at $z\sim2$ implies a transition to the environment disfavouring extreme starbursts., Comment: 16pages, 11figures, accepted for publication in MNRAS

A novel multimode dual-ring ultrawideband (UWB) bandpass filter is proposed in this article, which is constructed by loading open stubs in the horizontal and vertical directions of the dual-ring resonator. Five modes are evenly distributed in the passband, and a pair of transmission zeros are introduced to the left and right transition bands to enhance selectivity. Parallel-coupled lines ensure external coupling strength for realizing the UWB, and a cross junction suppresses spurious in high frequencies to expand the upper stopband. For demonstration, a quintuple-mode high-temperature superconducting UWB bandpass filter is designed on the 0.5 mm thick MgO substrate with double-sided YBa2Cu3O7 (YBCO) films. The test results show that the 3-dB bandwidth covers 2.56 to 11.15 GHz, the in-band return loss greater than 15 dB.

Due to their appealing properties such as abundant number of coordinatively unsaturated atoms, enhanced conductivity, high porosity, large surface area and tunable structure, 2D metal–organic framework (MOF) nanosheets have stimulated extensive research interest in the field of electrocatalysis. During the past several years, significant advances have been made in the direct applications of pristine 2D MOF nanosheets as efficient electrocatalysts. This review first discusses the synthetic strategies of MOF nanosheets. Then recent progress on pristine MOF nanosheets for electrocatalytic reactions, including the oxygen evolution reaction (OER), the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR), the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), the carbon dioxide reduction reaction (CRR) and the urea oxidation reaction (UOR) is summarized. In particular, engineering electronic structures of pristine MOF nanosheets to favor efficient electrocatalytic processes are discussed. Despite the encouraging accomplishments achieved, more engineered pristine MOF nanosheets with enhanced electrocatalytic performance are still needed. Therefore, bottlenecks faced by current pristine MOF nanosheets for electrocatalysis and potential solutions to these problems are finally proposed to promote further development in this research field.

It is revealed that phosphate ion functionalization of transition metal phosphides can achieve outstanding alkaline hydrogen evolution performance. Herein, the obtained phosphate ion functionalized CoP nanowire arrays exhibit high hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) activity (an overpotential of 112 mV to afford 100 mA cm−2), a low Tafel slope (49 mV dec−1) and outstanding stability in 1.0 M KOH.

Electrochemical CO2 reduction (ECR) to highly value-added products is regarded as a promising way to capture and utilize atmospheric CO2. While the large overpotential and low selectivity largely hinder its practical application, it is highly desirable to design promising catalysts for efficient ECR catalysis. Herein, we have designed a series of core/shell Ag/(Amorphous-Sn(IV)) (Ag/(A-Sn(IV))) nanoparticles (NPs) as highly active and selective catalysts for ECR. Precise amorphous shell tuning of Ag/(A-Sn(IV)) NPs reveals that Ag/(A-Sn(IV)) NPs exhibit volcano-like activity and selectivity toward ECR as a function of the thickness of amorphous shells. The ultrathin amorphous shell not only effectively suppressed the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) to increase the ECR activity but also converted the ECR product from CO to HCOOH as the applied voltage increased. As a consequence, the optimized core/shell Ag75/(A-Sn(IV))25 NPs show outstanding performance with a CO faradaic efficiency (FE) of 88.0% and a partial current density of 7.9 mA/cm2 at -0.7 V and a HCOOH FE of 75.1% and a partial current density of 13.4 mA/cm2 at -0.9 V. It also exhibited negligible change in current density and FE of the main products after a 12 h reaction. Theoretical calculation further confirmed that the regulation of the shell thickness effectively inhibited the HER and enhanced ECR with a 0.6 nm shell thickness of Ag/(A-Sn(IV)) NPs exhibiting the best activity.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical characteristics of community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) patients with infected Trichosporon asahii in urinary tract .Methods: Patients diagnosed with Trichosporon asahii isolated from the patients with urinary tract infection between January 2015 and November 2019, were retrospectively reviewed in this study. Clinical data were collected for each patient, including age, gender, co-morbid diseases,relevant tests,antimicrobial susceptibility test and impact on patient’s antifungal drugs , etc.Results: Ten patients (9 males and 1 female; range of age: 63–91, and average age of 80.1) were enrolled into this study. Of the ten patients, ten patient had old cerebral infarction, ten patient had coronary heart disease, five patient had hypertension, three patient had diabetes, three patient had gastrointestinal bleeding, one patient had lung cancer.Of the ten enrolled patients, all patients were suffering from cough and sputum, and five patients were presented with fever. However, there were no urinary tract symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency and pain. No complications occurred. Furthermore, all patients had increased C-reactive protein (CRP), only three patients had increased white blood cell (WBC). At the same time, nine had decreased albumin (ALB),seven had percentage of eosinophils(EO%),and five had helper T lymphocytes(CD4). All patients were treated with anti-infection,and expectorant.Among antifungal drugs, amphotericin and voriconazole have higher sensitive rate.Finally, five patients were discharged with a better health condition, two patients were automatically discharged, and three patients were died.The average follow-up for patients was 3 months.,three patients were died.Conclusions: The results suggested that the mortality rate of Trichosporon asahii pneumonia is very high, therefore, patients with infected Trichosporon asahii should be more actively treated by antifungal drug such as voriconazole.

Sb-based nanocomposites are attractive anode materials for batteries as they exhibit large theoretical capacity and impressive working voltage. However, tardy potassium ion diffusion characteristics, unstable Sb/electrolyte interphase, and huge volume variation pose a challenge, hindering their practical use for potassium-ion batteries (PIBs). Now, a simple robust strategy is presented for uniformly impregnating ultrasmall Sb nanocrystals within carbon nanofibers containing an array of hollow nanochannels (denoted u-Sb@CNFs), resolving the issues above and yielding high-performance PIBs. u-Sb@CNFs can be directly employed as an anode, thereby dispensing with the need for conductive additives and binders. Such a judiciously crafted u-Sb@CNF-based anode renders a set of intriguing electrochemical properties, representing large charge capacity, unprecedented cycling stability, and outstanding rate performance. A reversible capacity of 225 mAh g-1 is retained after 2000 cycles at 1 A g-1 .

Summary Photoelectrochemical nitrogen reduction reaction can provide a useful source of ammonia and transportable carrier of hydrogen, but the process is limited by the photocathodes with poor conversion efficiency and low production rate. Here, we have designed a unique aerophilic-hydrophilic heterostructured Si-based photocathode for nitrogen-to-ammonia fixation in an acid electrolyte under mild conditions, achieving a high ammonia yield rate of ∼18.9 μg⋅cm−2⋅hr−1 and an excellent faradic efficiency of 37.8% at −0.2 V versus a reversible hydrogen electrode. The heterostructure based on the Au nanoparticles highly dispersed in poly(tetrafluoroethylene) porous framework enriches nitrogen molecular concentration at the Au active sites while manipulateing the proton activity with suppressed hydrogen evolution reactions. DFT calculation indicates that such heterostructure reduces the energy barrier for the nitrogen reduction reaction. The aerophilic-hydrophilic heterostructure provides a new insight on designing efficient and robust photocathodes for nitrogen fixation.

Electrocatalysis is dominated by reaction at the solid-liquid-gas interface; surface properties of electrocatalysts determine the electrochemical behavior. The surface charge of active sites on catalysts modulate adsorption and desorption of intermediates. However, there is no direct evidence to bridge surface charge and catalytic activity of active sites. Defects (active sites) were created on a HOPG (highly oriented pyrolytic graphite) surface that broke the intrinsic sp2 -hybridization of graphite by plasma, inducing localization of surface charge onto defective active sites, as shown by scanning ion conductance microscopy (SICM) and Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM). An electrochemical test revealed enhanced intrinsic activity by the localized surface charge. DFT calculations confirmed the relationship between surface charge and catalytic activity. This work correlates surface charge and catalytic activity, providing insights into electrocatalytic behavior and guiding the design of advanced electrocatalysts.

Developing efficient anode materials with a good electrochemical performance has been a key scientific issue in the development of sodium ion batteries (SIBs). In this work, by means of density functional theory (DFT) computations, we demonstrate that two-dimensional (2D) Ti2PTe2 monolayer is a promising candidate for this application. The exfoliation of Ti2PTe2 monolayer from its experimentally known layered bulk phase is feasible due to the moderate cohesive energy. Different from many binary 2D transitions metal chalcogenides (TMCs) that are semiconducting, Ti2PTe2 monolayer is metallic with considerable electronic states at the Fermi level. Remarkably, Ti2PTe2 monolayer has a considerably high theoretical capacity of 280.72 mA h g−1, a rather small Na diffusion barrier of 0.22 eV, and a low average open circuit voltage of 0.31 eV. These results suggest that Ti2PTe2 monolayer can be utilized as a promising anode material for SIBs with high power density and fast charge/discharge rates.

A new method is proposed to produce even finite transmission zeros without any cross-coupling between the resonators of filter, by loading the second-order extracted-pole unit (EPU) composed of two mutual coupled resonators at the input or output port of the filter. An arbitrary distribution of finite transmission zeros on the imaginary axis can be achieved by adjusting the resonant frequencies of resonators in the EPUs and the coupling strength between them. The finite transmission zeros can be symmetrically or asymmetrically distributed about the center frequency of the filter, even all on the same side outside the passband of the filter. And the topological structures of these filters are given in this paper. Besides, Cauchy method is adopted to analyze the proposed EPU configuration filter as well. This paper not only discusses how to implement a pair and two pairs of finite transmission zeros, and how to control the distribution of finite transmission zeros, but also gives multiple sets of computer-aided synthesized normalized coupling matrices. Based on this, an eighth-order quasi-elliptic function high-temperature superconducting filter with two pairs of finite transmission zeros was designed on a double-sided YBCO/LaAlO3/YBCO films to verify the feasibility of this new structure.

In this paper, a novel trapezoidal meander-line resonator (TMLR) is proposed to design compact high-order high-temperature superconducting (HTS) linear phase bandpass filters with cascaded quadruplet (CQ) structures. By changing the conventional rectangle half-wavelength meander-line microstrip resonator into a trapezoidal resonator, unnecessary cross coupling between nonadjacent resonators in the CQ units can be avoided. And using the proposed TMLR to design the CQ unit, electric field cross coupling or magnetic field cross coupling can be easily achieved and tuned without the cross-coupling line. To further demonstrate the feasibility of using this configuration for miniaturized circuit design, an 8-order HTS linear phase filter with one pair of transmission zeros was designed. The measured responses agree very well with the simulated results. The physical HTS filter has a center frequency of 1935 MHz and bandwidth of 70 MHz. The out-of-band rejection is greater than 50 dB, and the effective bandwidth of group delay fluctuation less than ±3 ns takes up more than 65% in the whole passband.

Nonprecious highly active electrocatalysts in water splitting are essential for large-scale storage of renewable hydrogen energy. Two dimensional (2D) layered double hydroxides (LDHs) are commonly regarded as promising electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction (OER), while they are not so efficient for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). Herein, we propose the NiCo LDHs derived NiCoPx with 2D mesoporous ultrathin nanoplates structure in-situ grown on carbon paper (NiCoPx/CP). The special nanostructure and rich active sites endow the binder-free NiCoPx/CP with excellent bifunctional electrocatalytic performance toward HER and OER with very low overpotentials of 56 mV for HER at 10 mA cm−2 and 239 mV for OER at 30 mA cm−2. Moreover, the NiCoPx/CP can be directly used as electrodes for both anode and cathode to construct an efficient alkaline water electrolyzer with a cell votage of 1.58 V at 10 mA cm−2, which show even better performance than that of the best known commercial Pt-C&RuO2/CP catalysts. This work presented here can offer a novel guidance for the construction of non-noble metal-based electrocatalysts with 2D nanostructure in energy applications.

Tremendous efforts have been devoted to explore energy-efficient strategies of ammonia synthesis to replace Haber-Bosch process which accounts for 1.4% of the annual energy consumption. In this study, atomically dispersed Au1 catalyst is synthesized and applied in electrochemical synthesis of ammonia under ambient conditions. A high NH4+ Faradaic efficiency of 11.1% achieved by our Au1 catalyst surpasses most of reported catalysts under comparable conditions. Benefiting from efficient atom utilization, an NH4+ yield rate of 1,305 μg h−1 mgAu−1 has been reached, which is roughly 22.5 times as high as that by supported Au nanoparticles. We also demonstrate that by employing our Au1 catalyst, NH4+ can be electrochemically produced directly from N2 and H2 with an energy utilization rate of 4.02 mmol kJ−1. Our study provides a possibility of replacing the Haber-Bosch process with environmentally benign and energy-efficient electrochemical strategies.
