Systematizing the experience of creating qualitative indicators for permanent health education in a health region in the state of Paraná, Brazil. Method: Qualitative research, following the "systematization of experience" approach, conducted with healthcare professionals in a health region. Data collection took place from March to June 2021 through materials produced during meetings and researchers' records. The data were organized based on the assumptions of systematization of experience and analyzed through the lens of Freire's critical pedagogy. Results: Five indicators were constructed in a participatory manner. Difficulty in conceptualizing them was observed, with conceptual distance as a barrier and the development within a permanent education process as a facilitator, where the experience provided exemplification. Conclusion: The systematization of experience contributed to the critical analysis of the process, revisiting themes, and identifying potentialities and weaknesses, allowing for the development of future activities in a qualified manner. Financial distress prediction (FDP) is centrally imported to reduce potential losses of companies and investors. This paper combines social responsibility indicators with financial, management, and textual indicators to construct a multi‐dimensional FDP index system. To increase prediction accuracy, the difference in the number of samples between special treatment and health companies is actively considered, and the synthetic minority oversampling technique is adopted to deal with class‐imbalanced datasets. Moreover, a feature extraction method based on the genetic algorithm is employed to select features as input of machine learning models for predicting financial distress in Chinese listed companies. Experimental results show that ensemble classifiers are the better choice for predicting financial distress, of which gradient boosting decision tree outperforms other classifiers. Textual indicators play the most significant role in complementing traditional financial indicators of FDP, and their financial distress signals emerge earlier compared with management and social responsibility indicators. ABSTRACT This research presents the state-of-the-art related to the management of conservation units in the State of Espirito Santo, characterizing the conditions for management and infrastructure. The analysis carried out at the units, which were created in 2009, counted on the participation of all sixteen units’ managers, considering factors inherent to the prevention and combat actions impacting the units. Results indicated that ‘Duas Bocas REBIO’ holds the best conditions for management and infrastructure (82%) and ‘RDS Concha D’ostras’, the worst (5%). ‘PARE Itaúnas’ showed the greatest deficit of staff. Regarding the availability of operational equipment, it was possible to observe that 75% of the fully protected units are operationally deficient. As for tools to combat forest fires, ‘PARE Cachoeira da Fumaça’ presented the largest deficit, with no individual protection equipment (IPE). Inadequate infrastructure (14%) and hunting (12%) are the main threats to the units. These results will subsidize the planning and management of protected areas in the State of Espirito Santo.

OBJECTIVES: We propose a preventive and therapeutic assessment program for mucositis in patients with cancer based on a comprehensive review of scientific evidence. MATERIAL AND METHODS: This methodological study, designed as a non-systematic review, entails a thorough review of the scientific evidence on the management of mucositis in patients with cancer. The PICO method was used, allowing for a structured approach to explore and synthesize relevant evidence. RESULTS: Effective mucositis management requires regular assessments, dental exams, preventive strategies, and consideration of modifiable risk factors. Pharmacological therapies may be considered for severe cases, while oral antimicrobials, prophylactic antiviral and antifungal therapy can prevent infections. Topical anesthetics o?er pain relief but require careful administration. A gradual management plan, from gentle rinses to analgesics, is recommended. CONCLUSION: The suggested program may improve the identification, prevention, and management of this complication to achieve optimal management outcomes.

Fuzzy logic was used for the mathematical model to determine scores for four resilient abilities – monitoring, anticipation, learning, and response – and an aggregated coefficient of resilient potential in health care. The coefficient measures used data from before the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. These were compared with measures of the actual performance of health systems in 10 cities in Brazil during the pandemic. Results. The coefficient of resilient potential in health care showed that the cities most affected by COVID-19 had lower potential for resilient performance before the pandemic. Some local health systems had adequate response capabilities, but other abilities were not well developed, which adversely affected the management of the spread of COVID-19. Conclusions. The coefficient of resilient potential in health care is useful to indicate important areas for resilient performance and the different types of resilience capacities that can be considered in different contexts and levels of public health systems. Regular assessment of the potential of health systems for resilient performance would help highlight opportunities for continuous improvement in health system functions during chronic stress situations, which could strengthen their ability to keep functioning in the face of sudden disturbances.

Financial rates are indicators used to assess the performance and financial position of a company. Most of these economic and financial indicators are calculated based on the information provided by companies in the financial statements. The usefulness of these economic-financial indicators consists both in highlighting a trend, and especially in the possibility that the analyzed company can be compared with other companies active in the same sector. At the same time, there are financial indicators that help predict a possible bankruptcy in the future. In order to determine the risk of bankruptcy based on the assets owned by a company, I performed an empirical study in order to examine the impact of tangible and intangible assets in companies with deficiencies revealed by external auditors, together with profitability indicators which can help in predictions regarding company evolution.

Companies and the supply chains to which they belong seek to identify, monitor and control the performance of their processes, in order to guarantee the use of available resources and compliance with their strategic planning. The research aims to develop a procedure to manage efficiency in supply chains, with a focus on sustainability. Theoretical and empirical methods were used in the study and the main results are the proposal of a procedure to manage efficiency in supply chains as a basis for their sustainability, which was evaluated in a construction supply chain. The following were taken as links: construction materials company, marketing company and construction company. The strict biosecurity measures because of COVID-19 contemplated adjustments in the development of the various activities of people and institutions around the world, a paradigm shift was necessary; for example, face-to-face interactions in universities were replaced by the use of virtual teaching-learning environments. Thus, VENTURAGRO, attached to Universidad Nacional Experimental de los Llanos Occidentales Ezequiel Zamora (UNELLEZ), used the Moodle platform for training in agroecological tourism. In this study, the management indicators of these trainings between the years 2020 and 2022 are described. The research approach is qualitative, it is field descriptive, the technique is documentary and the method of systematization is of educational experience. The instrument for data collection is the Socio-Community Linking Format . The sample is of intentional type, it includes 2518 participants trained through courses, workshops, forums, diplomas and projects; 450 institutions, including universities, tourism service providers, communities, tourism professionals and entrepreneurs at the national and international level. Using educational platforms provides social actors with new abilities and skills in the management of ICTs, virtual teaching-learning environments or Moodle; this generates a dynamic and easily accessible educational model for training in agroecological tourism. Objective: To analyze the health management indicators related to the mobile emergency care service in Ceará. Method: This is a documentary, retrospective, quantitative study, carried out on the IntegraSUS website of the Ceará state government - Brazil, during the period July 2021, to analyze the indicators "total calls" and "average response time". Results: It was verified a profile of prevalent calls for men (52.66%), with advanced age >70 years (22.06%), Covid-19 service occurrences for the Juazeiro central station (7.62%) and motorcycle accidents for the Eusébio central station (7.94%). The service got calls for 177 cities in Ceará (96.19%) with a longer average response time for Covid-19. Conclusion: The analysis signals the need to adjust strategies to improve the performance of the service response time, with a review of the organizational system, including the publication of data by the digital platform. The research evaluates the management of municipal solid waste (RSM) through management indicators in the Ricardo Palma district of the Huarochirí Province. For this, it had a population of 6,901 inhabitants and, in turn, a sample of 365 inhabitants is estimated in the Ricardo Palma district according to the 2017 Census. The study is non-experimental-correlational. A 23-question questionnaire was used, 15 of which were related to the Management Indicators variable and 8 referred to the MSW comprehensive management variable. The results show a statistically significant relationship between the management indicators and the management of the MSW with a value of Spearman's correlation coefficient of 0.9399, being the service on a regular basis. We present the construction of a methodological proposal to determine which indicators should be considered in the monitoring and evaluation of water resource management in the irrigation districts in Colombia (Land Adequacy Districts). This document begins with a characterization of the subsector of land adequacy, presents the national and international background in the assessment of water resource management, and establishes the optimal scope given the experience of Colombian institutions, the current legal framework, and the quality of official information on subsector issues. Economic, social, water, and climate aspects are considered. Thirteen indicators were chosen from Product Management Indicators, Activity Management Indicators and Results, and Impact Indicators. Introduction--Internal control, as the backbone of the organizational system, has gained popularity due to its importance and relationship with the rest of the processes, evidencing its transversal nature. Objective--Design a procedure for the integrated management of Internal Control, with a multi-criteria approach that identifies the weaknesses of this system, to manage and improve its effectiveness. Methodology--Theoretical and empirical methods such as historical-logical analysis, the analytical-synthetic method, the inductive-deductive method, as a way to analyze the prevailing trends and the systemic approach during the research process. Empirical methods include individual interviews, surveys, checklists, observation and analysis of documents. Statistical methods such as descriptive statistics and mathematical methods such as --Saaty, AHP of Saaty, Scoring, diffuse compensatory logic, entropy method, Petri nets and Decision Theory in general were used. Results--From the conception of a theoretical model, materialized in a general procedure subject to mathematical models with a multi-criteria approach, which allows managing, in an integrated manner, the Internal Control system in Cuban organizations. This system is integrated with management control tools, highlighting the balanced scorecard and process management. The proposed multi-attribute mathematical model allows the implementation and evaluation of the components and rules of Internal Control and materialize it in the processes of the organization, by identifying the failures that affect the satisfaction of society. The design with a multi-criteria approach to the balanced scorecard for Internal Control allows the results to be measured systemically and integrating the four perspectives with the five components. Conclusions--The general procedure designed, with three phases, constitutes a guide to develop the Internal Control management system with a process, systemic, multi-criteria and strategic approach, helping to raise the level of implementation of this system, in the same way It forms the level of integration with the processes, maturity, the effectiveness of its management and the improvement of this process. In addition, it is valid prospectively complying with the principles and characteristics. In addition to the formation of a strategic map with direct and indirect relationships through fuzzy logic without contradicting the objective of organizations with or without profit. RESUMO Introdução: O acompanhamento e a avaliação continuada das ações desenvolvidas na Assistência Farmacêutica são estratégias para a busca da qualidade, especialmente no âmbito hospitalar. Uma boa avaliação visa reduzir incertezas, melhorar a efetividade das ações e propiciar a tomada de decisões relevantes auxiliando na gestão dos serviços. Objetivos: Elaborar uma matriz de avaliação e monitoramento da farmácia de uma instituição hospitalar. Método: Trata-se de um estudo avaliativo. Para a elaboração e validação de conteúdo foram desenvolvidas as seguintes etapas: revisão bibliográfica, proposição das dimensões e elaboração de indicadores, grupo focal com especialistas para validação e priorização das dimensões e aplicação da técnica delphi aos indicadores para relevância e valoração. O coeficiente alfa de Cronbach foi utilizado para medir a confiabilidade dos indicadores. O estudo foi desenvolvido no contexto da farmácia de um hospital de grande porte no Estado do Rio Grande do Sul. Resultados: Foram identificadas cinco dimensões para a avaliação da Farmácia Hospitalar e 70 indicadores, distribuídos da seguinte maneira: Gestão da Assistência (n=15), Gestão dos Recursos Humanos (n=13), Gestão do Medicamento (n=13), Gestão Financeira (n=12) e Gestão da Clínica dos Pacientes (n=17). A dimensão Gestão do Medicamento foi priorizada pelos especialistas, finalizada com nove indicadores. Conclusão: O estudo evidenciou a importância da avaliação para a gestão da Farmácia Hospitalar e a capacidade de execução de métodos de consenso para indicadores de qualidade em serviços de alto nível de complexidade. O instrumento com os indicadores desenvolvidos para dimensão Gestão do Medicamento mostrou evidência de validade e uma boa confiabilidade.

The aim of this presentation is to develop a composite indicator, which should be consistent and reliable, to evaluate the physiological conditions of a group of patients on dialysis therapy. The composite indicators are developed based on key performance indicators. They have the advantage of being able to be interpreted quickly and give to the decision makers an orientation on the procedures to be followed. The purpose is to provide a management indicator to optimize the activities of this hospital unit, and in this way, to provide patients maximum care. The composite indicator was built with the clinical laboratories, which are performed on patients on dialysis treatment. The central idea of the study is to make a ranking of patients based on the criteria that support the physiological conditions of each one of them. The study was carried out in one of the major hospitals in the city of Córdoba, Argentina. To solve the problem, we applied the multicriteria decision analysis, specifically, the Reference Ideal Method. Modifications to the traditional technique have been proposed to make it possible to work with several ideal reference intervals in the same criterion. Water resources influence the production of agricultural food and constitute a determining factor in the vulnerability to food insecurity that the country faces, however these resources are seriously threatened as a consequence of Climate Change. The low efficiency in the use of irrigation water in agriculture leads to a decrease in production and the profitability of associated processes. A tool used to increase efficiency in these processes are Management Indicators. El presente artículo se realiza con la finalidad de exponer al lector las debilidades de índole estadístico-estructural que pueden poseer los indicadores de gestión o indicadores clave de rendimiento -mejor conocido como KPI’s-, empleados como medidas para cuantificar el desempeño de una empresa u organización, en especial cuando las variables a contemplar en el diseño del indicador solo logran tener valores positivos, es decir, pertenecer a conjunto de los números reales positivos. Esta debilidad se presenta especialmente en la estructura simétrica del indicador, lo que trae como consecuencia la falta de equidad y justicia en la medición, tanto por exceso como por defecto. En este sentido, se generan en el empleado, incentivos perversos, que repercuten en la toma de decisiones sobre aquellos valores que garantizan un menor valor numérico por encima del valor absoluto y, por ende, aspectos no conformes con la optimización y la organización. Para ello, se procedió a realizar una demostración estadística de los indicadores de gestión relativo (IGT1-IGT2), en función con el comportamiento de la variable aleatoria de insumo, cuyos ingresos son los números reales positivos, lo que determina así las cotas donde aparece esta inestabilidad simétrica que sin darnos cuenta puede generar un impacto importante en el indicador final en perjuicio de la empresa u organización que lo está monitoreando. || The present article is carried out with the purpose of exposing the reader to the statistical-structural weaknesses that the management indicators or key performance indicators may have -better known as KPIs-, used as measures to quantify the performance of a company or organization, especially when the variables considered in the design of the indicator only manage to have positive values, that is, to belong to a set of positive real numbers. This weakness occurs especially in the symmetric structure of the indicator, which results in a lack of equity and justice in the measurement, both by excess and by default. In this sense, perverse incentives are generated in the employee, which have an impact on the decision-making on those values that guarantee a lower numerical value over the absolute value and, therefore, aspects that are not in harmony with optimization and organization. To do this, we proceeded to perform a statistical demonstration of the relative management indicators (IGT1-IGT2), in function with the behaviour of the input random variable, whose income is the positive real numbers which determines this way, the levels where it appears this symmetric instability that without realizing it can generate a significant impact on the final indicator to the detriment of the company or organization that is monitoring it.

Issues of management of activities and the development processes of modern innovative enterprises are viewed. The creation necessity of modern innovative enterprises has been indicated, their management features and indicators have been defined. Management models of modern innovative enterprises have been clarified. Management of modern innovative enterprises has been developed. The analysis of some scientific publications indexed on the management of the activity of innovation enterprises has been carried out. As a result of examining the organizational management structure models of different profile innovation structures, its exemplary organizational structure is proposed. Structures of a management system based on intellectualizing features of management have been offered. The architectural-technological structural model of a network of modern innovative enterprises with different profiles is developed. The main directions for the management of innovative enterprises of the future are defined and an appropriate conceptual model of management was proposed based on the recommendations of international organizations. The conceptual model of the intellectual management system of the complex activity of innovative enterprises has been proposed. Appropriate approaches and models have been proposed to improve product/service manufacturing in innovative enterprises. Taking into account the recommendations of international organizations, the infrastructure problems and institutional mechanisms of increasing the efficiency of perspective activity of innovative enterprises in Azerbaijan have been studied. Prospects for the application of the trends of the IV Industrial revolutions in improving the efficiency of management of the activities of similar enterprises are shown. The proposed approaches and models for improving the management processes of innovative enterprises can be applied in other relevant innovation structures.

Several accreditation agencies in Latin America introduce their standards and guidance for documentation but they do not explicitly elaborate on the key performance indicators on which higher education institutions can rely for evaluating their activities. The purpose of this research is to analyse the management indicators that higher education institutions in the region have implemented to identify those that have more impact in obtaining an institutional accreditation. A quantitative survey of 114 institutional leaders from 97 universities in 11 countries identified the management indicators. Findings in this research may serve as guidelines for leaders and practitioners to decide which indicators to implement and help institutions in the region to succeed in national and international institutional accreditation processes. One of the most important current challenges facing non-profit organizations (henceforth, NPOs) is to demonstrate that resources are being used properly to fulfill their missions. The development of control mechanisms to facilitate the measurement of social goal fulfillment has thus become a priority. In this context, transparency and good governance are configured as essential strategic elements to build trust with different stakeholders. In this work, we show the value provided by management indicators as they have become a necessary tool to confirm that the use of resources, internal processes and decisions within NPOs are carried out with the highest levels of efficiency and excellence. Only in this way can social credibility be achieved. The success of an NPO is inextricably linked to the support of donors, users, public administration and society as a whole. To achieve our research objective, we build a measurement scale based on the case of the Spanish National Organization for the Blind (ONCE), one of the largest Spanish NPOs. Based on ONCE's experience, we propose a management indicator model that covers all social dimensions. ABSTRACT Objectives: to analyze the scientific evidence available in literature on hospital indicators after implementation of bed regulation strategies. Methods: this is an integrative review conducted with studies available in five databases and in the reference database of the Center for Study and Research in Nursing Services Management in October 2019. Articles on hospital bed management, available in full in English, Spanish or Portuguese, without temporal delimitation were included. Results: 1,118 eligible articles were found, of which 37 were duplicated. Among 1,081 pre-selected studies, 112 studies were eligible and 11 articles were included. Six studies addressed the emergency services. Three addressed hospital indicators in general, another focused on a psychiatric ward and one analyzed the indicators of two hospitals administered differently. Conclusions: the studies focused on emergency services, demonstrating the importance of organizing these services for health institutions.

Objective: To analyze the impact of Resolution 2.173/2017 of the Federal Council of Medicine on results from the Central Estadual de Transplantes de Santa Catarina. Methods: This was a cross-sectional observational study of medical records of all patients (1,605) with suspected brain death notified to the Central Estadual de Transplantes de Santa Catarina; for this study, procedures to confirm this diagnosis were initiated between July 2016 and December 2017 and between January 2018 and June 2019. The median duration of the protocol in each period was considered for the comparison between the intervals. The collected data were transformed into rates (per million population). The mean rates for the periods before and after the implementation of the protocol were analyzed by Student’s t-test, and qualitative variables were analyzed by Pearson’s chi-squared test. Results: The mean duration of brain death confirmation procedures decreased more than 1 hour in the second period compared to the first period, with statistical significance (p = 0.001). The rates of harvested livers and transplanted pancreas, the number of notifications by hospital size and the rate of cardiac arrest in the macro-region of the Itajaí Valley were significantly different between the two periods. Conclusion: In the period after the new resolution on brain death, there was a reduction in the duration for diagnosis. However, other indicators did not change significantly, providing evidence for the multidimensional nature of the organ transplantation process in Santa Catarina and the need for further studies to better understand and optimize the process. We present the construction of a methodological proposal to determine which indicators should be considered in the monitoring and evaluation of water resource management in the irrigation districts in Colombia (Land Adequacy Districts). This document begins with a characterization of the subsector of land adequacy, presents the national and international background in the assessment of water resource management, and establishes the optimal scope given the experience of Colombian institutions, the current legal framework, and the quality of official information on subsector issues. Economic, social, water, and climate aspects are considered. Thirteen indicators were chosen from Product Management Indicators, Activity Management Indicators and Results, and Impact Indicators.

The present paper reveals the second part of early research results obtained from the simulation of the annual sentiment indicator evolution under the influence of the production in industry, the intramural research and development expenditure, the turnover and volume of sales and the employment. The research uses for the process’ simulation the three dimensional representation of the above indicators. The main goal of the research is to be able to determine the four indicators hierarchically listed based on the influence of each indicator on the sentiment indicator evolution. The secondary objective is to compare if the previous results of the research, acquired through the use of artificial neural network simulation, determined the same hierarchy and influence of the four. The data used represent the values for the Euro area (19 countries) recorded between 2006 and 2016, provided by the Eurostat – from the European Commission statistical data website. The author considered that the initial 19 countries represent the most influential ones over the economy and, thus, over the economic sentiment evolution. The method uses the real data and MathCad software for the calculus of polynomial functions that governs the graphic representation of economic sentiment trend under the positive evolution of the each of the four influencer indicators. The polynomial function was chosen by the author because of the incipient phase of research and the trends evolutions.

Museums need to apply sustainable criteria in order to evaluate performance and improve results. This paper aims to determine a methodological model that allows the analysis of the economic and socio-cultural value of museums. The approach proposed is related to the local community and tourist's perception. The research supports the conclusion that both the Choice Experiments method and the Subjective Quality Indicators are methods of interest for evaluating the functioning of museums. Therefore, the proposed methodological model takes a mixed-method approach by considering both. The application of the proposed method makes it possible to know precisely the impact of the initiatives and proposals developed by museums. This method can be extrapolated and used by the scientific community to do research in the performance of museums and the process of decision-making. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: to evaluate the impact of COVID-19 on the performance indicators of the Research Ethics Committee of Hospital Geral de Fortaleza. Methods: retrospective cohort study using the performance indicators from March 2019 to February 2021. Data collection was carried out in April 2021 after approval, under opinion number 4.650.300. Results: in the period from March 2019 to February 2020, 456 substantiated opinions were prepared, whereas in the period from March 2020 to February 2021, 460 opinions were recorded. Among the 279 projects considered, 92% contained different themes. Twenty-two projects (8%) were related to COVID-19. Conclusion: the findings that the impact of COVID provoked, guide the performance of the management and the members of this Committee with the research activities developed in Fortaleza, suggesting a positive impact on the proactivity of the management and the members of this collegiate.
