A sieve is a device for separating wanted elements from unwanted material or for characterizing the particle size distribution of a sample, typically using a woven screen such as a mesh or net. This project focuses in design, fabrication of the mechanical part of machine and the system of the sieve machine. To achieve this project objective, this sieve machine body structure and mechanical system needs to concern some other criteria such as strength, safety and ergonomic design. Depending on their size the individual particles either pass through the sieve mesh or retained on the sieve surface. There are different machines that are being used for sand sieving processes. In our project the process will takes place automatically. Thus, the time consumed during the whole process is reduced. In this work, the rise characteristics of a single H2 bubble, in the ellipsoidal regime, in (i) water, (ii) single electrolyte (2 M, 4.5 M NaCl) solution and (iii) various concentrations of electrolyte mixture (up to 6.4 M of 1:5 weight fraction NaCl-NaClO3), have been studied, at temperatures up to 80°C. Our results show that both individual and collective effects of the temperature and the electrolyte concentration on the rise velocity and the bubble shape are purely dependent on the changes in liquid properties (density, viscosity, and surface tension); the bubble motion can be described by known non-dimensional correlations for clean bubble rise in pure fluids.

Wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) is an additive manufacturing process based on the arc welding process in which wire is melted by an electric arc and deposited layer by layer. Due to the cost and rate benefits over powder-based additive manufacturing technologies and other alternative heat sources such as laser and electron beams, the process is currently receiving much attention in the industrial production sector. The gas metal arc welded (GMAW) based WAAM process provides a higher deposition rate than other methods, making it suitable for additive manufacturing. The fabrication of mild steel (G3Si1), austenitic stainless steel (SS304), and a bimetallic sample of both materials were completed successfully using the GMAW based WAAM process. The microstructure characterization of the developed sample was conducted using optical and scanning electron microscopes. The interface reveals two discrete zones of mild steel and SS304 deposits without any weld defects. The hardness profile indicates a drastic increase in hardness near the interface, which is attributed to chromium migration from the SS304. The toughness of the sample was tested based on the Charpy Impact (ASTM D6110) test. The test reveals isotropy in both directions. The tensile strength of samples deposited by the WAAM technique measured slightly higher than the standard values of weld filament. The deep hole drilling (DHD) method was used to measure the residual stresses, and it was determined that the stresses are compressive in the mild steel portion and tensile in austenitic stainless steel portion, and that they vary throughout the thickness due to variation in the cooling rate at the inner and outer surfaces.

Background: PCSK9 inhibitors are a treatment option for patients with familial hypercholesterolemia not on low-density lipoprotein cholesterol goals despite the use of maximally tolerated high intensity-statins dose. Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of alirocumab and evolocumab in LDL-C reduction and targets attainment in patients with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia in clinical practice setting. Methods: SAFEHEART is an open, long-term prospective study of a cohort of subjects with molecular diagnosis of familial hypercholesterolemia. This study analyze subjects >= 20 years of age on stable lipid-lowering therapy, who received PCSK9 inhibitors during the period 2016 to January 2020. Results: 433 patients (mean age 55 years, 53% male, 39% with cardiovascular disease) were included and followed-up for a median of 2.5 years (IQR 1.6-3.0). Median LDL-C level prior to PCSK9 inhibitors was 145 mg/dL (IQR 125-173). The addition of PCSK9 inhibitors (211 alirocumab, 222 evolocumab) reduced LDL-C by 58% (IQR 41-70) p

The article presents the results of treatment of 26 patients with purulent-necrotic com-plications of diabetic foot from 2019 to 2020, who are being treated at the Aktobe Medical Center. All patients were prescribed complex therapy and small foot surgeries were performed. The patients were divided into two groups: the control group, where ointment dressings and stage necrectomies were used ��� 12 patients and the main group ��� 14 patients, vacuum therapy was used. The average duration of one dressing was 4 days. Bandages were applied according to the existing method. A porous polyu-rethane sponge was applied to the wound, followed by sealing with a transparent adhesive film, with a drainage tube connected to a vacuum device. To evaluate the results, we used: changes in glucose lev-els, the dynamics of the microbial landscape and the wound process, treatment outcomes, the time of healing of the defect and the presence of patients in the hospital. Conclusion: the use of vacuum therapy in the treatment of purulent wounds contributed to a no-ticeably rapid cleaning of wounds and, accordingly, a decrease in their area and depth, an acceleration of the process of granulation and epithelization in comparison with traditional methods of treatment. The objective of the current study is to investigate the effects of geometric parameters on the fluid flow patterns, diffusion factor, load-split, and off-design performance of the tandem configuration under subsonic, rectilinear, cascade flow. A 2-D computational model using finite volume formulation has been developed and validated against available experimental data. The obtained data is presented in a format involving loss parameter and loading and will help the designer to have sufficient number of combinations within the useful range of application. It is observed that general performance behavior of tandem cascade is similar to a single airfoil data. Load shifting from the front airfoil to the rear airfoil is noted at positive axial overlaps and higher camber ratios. An optimum gap ratio of around 2 is observed for the range of configurations investigated. Contrary to the previous literature, the present study indicates higher loading of the front airfoil for the best overall loading-to-loss ratio of the tandem configuration.
