In this article, we investigate the existence and uniqueness of the solution of a fractional boundary value problem with conformable fractional derivation of the Caputo-Fabrizio type. In order to study this problem we used a new definition of fractional integral as an inverse of the conformable fractional derivative of Caputo-Fabrizio, therefore, so we transformed the problem to a equivalent linear Volterra-Fredholm integral equations of the second kind, and taking sufficient conditions existence and uniqueness of this solution is proven based on the results obtained. The analytical study is followed by a complete numerical study.

The layered perovskite oxide, LaCaBiMn 2 O 7 , has been prepared by the conventional aqueous solution precipitation method. The powder X-ray diffraction studies suggest that the phase crystallizes with tetragonal unit cell in the space group I4/mmm. The magnetic properties suggest that the ferromagnetic interactions are dominant and manganese ion in the phase is present in mixed valence states Mn 3+ and Mn 4+ . The thermomagnetization curve is found to obey the Bloch law. Spin wave stiffness constant D and the approximate value for J MnMn exchange interaction were estimated from the experimental results.

Les localisations hépatiques et pulmonaires sont les sites métastasiques préférentiels du cancer colorectal, les métastases cérébrales sont rares voir exceptionnelles lorsqu’elles sont isolées. Nous rapportons le cas d’un patient âgé de 47 ans ayant présenté un adénocarcinome colique traité par chirurgie et chimiothérapie. Après un intervalle libre de 18 mois, apparition d’un syndrome cérébelleux avec une hypertension intracrânienne. La tomodensitométrie et l’imagerie par résonance magnétique cérébrales mettaient en évidence une lésion à double composante kystique et charnue de l’hémisphère cérébelleux gauche. La radiographie pulmonaire et l’échographie abdominale étaient normales. Notre patient a bénéficié d’une exérèse totale de la lésion. L’examen anatomo-pathologique de la pièce opératoire avait révélé qu’il s’agissait d’une métastase cérébelleuse d’adénocarcinome colique. Par la suite une radiothérapie a été délivrée sur l’encéphale total avec boost sur la fosse cérébrale postérieure. We present a review on catalytic or electrical properties of materials based on rare earth (RE) oxides (CeO2 ,L a2O3, Lu2O3) or bismuth based composite systems CeO2-Bi2O3, susceptible to be integrated into catalytic microsystems or gas sensors. The polycrystalline solids can be used as catalysts allowing conversion of CO or CH4 traces in air-gas flows. Fourier Transform infrared spectroscopy is used to determine the conversion rate of CO or CH4 into CO2 through the variations versus time and temperature of vibrational band intensities. The time dependent reactivities are interpreted in terms of an adapted Avrami model. In these catalytic analyses the nature of surfaces of polycrystalline solids seems to play a prominent role in catalytic efficiency. Electrical impedance spectroscopy allows analyzing the variation of conductivity of the system CeO2-Bi2O3. In this system, the specific high ionic conduction of a Bi2O3 tetragonal phase might be linked to the high catalytic activity.

With market leaders expected to be manufacturing modules above 16% efficiency at $0.36/Watt by 2017, even the cost per unit area ($60-$70/m2) will be difficult for thin-film technologies to significantly undercut. This may make dislodgement likely only by appreciably higher energy conversion efficiency approaches. A silicon waferbased cell able to capitalize on on-going cost reductions within the mainstream industry but with an appreciably higher than present efficiency might therefore provide the ultimate PV solution. With average selling prices of 156 mm quasi-square monocrystalline Si wafers recently approaching $1 (per wafer), wafers now provide clean, low cost templates for overgrowth of thin, wider bandgap high performance cells, nearly doubling silicon’s ultimate efficiency potential. The range of Si-based tandem approaches are reviewed together with recent results and ultimate prospects.

University of Technology, Sydney. Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. This thesis argues the influences of Islamic art on the work of Henri Matisse. The study investigates the educational and aesthetic values of these influences. It is informed by the argument that Matisse has succeeded in mixing his European artistic traditions with Islamic art traditions, and that such a mixture has the potential to change not only the way we do and appreciate art, but also the philosophy that underpins art making and understanding. Based on Matisse's Islamic experience, this research explores the significance of exposing the artistic self to the artistic other. It argues that hybridity in art, culture and eduaction has the potential to generate new meanings, based on difference rather than conformity, and that such differences are energizing. Recognition of the other in artistic experience may influence both artistic and educational discourse. Studying Matisse from Islamic perspectives is unique, and represents reading a non-Western point of view as well as the opportunity to explore links with contemporary educational, social, cultural and political issues. Within its educational perspectives, this study explores Matisse's Islamic experience in relation to a contemporary school context in which the positive impact of such an experience on a teaching and learning art is investigated.

An efficient and reliable method for shoot regeneration from leaf disks of Fragaria vesca L. has been developed. This protocol has been successfully employed to obtain transformed plants using Agrobacterium tumefaciens as gene vector. Murashige and Skoog basal medium supplemented with benzyladenine (4 mg/l) and indole-3-butyric acid (0.25 mg/l) induced the maximum percentage of shoot regeneration (98%) and the highest number of shoot colonies per explant (4.6) after 8 weeks of culture. Isolated shoots would elongate and proliferate when the benzyladenine concentration was lowered to 0.5 mg/l. The established protocol for shoot regeneration was employed to transform leaf disks using Agrobacterium tumefaciens carrying the plasmid pBI121. A 7.7% of the inoculated explants showed kanamycin resistance after 10 weeks of selection in a medium containing 25 mg/l of this antibiotic. The transgenic shoots obtained were rooted in the presence of 25 mg/ kanamycin and successfully acclimatized. The final percentage of transformation obtained based on beta-glucuronidase expression was 6.9%.
