Penelitian bertujuan mendapatkan data dan informasi morfofisiologi kejadian gugur bunga dan buah (fruit-drop) pada tanaman cabai terhadap pemberian zat pengatur tumbuh (ZPT) auksin (IAA dan IBA) dan GA3. Penelitian disusun berdasarkan Rancangan Petak Terpisah dalam rancangan acak kelompok dengan 3 ulangan. Petak utama adalah 3 jenis ZPT yaitu IAA, IBA, dan GA3. Anak petak yaitu konsentrasi perlakuan yang terdiri dari 5 taraf (ppm) yaitu 0, 25, 50, 75, dan 100 ppm. Data yang diperoleh dianalis menggunakan software STAR dan jika terdapat beda nyata diuji lanjut dengan Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT) pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan IAA, IBA, dan GA3 serta konsentrasi perlakuannya tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah bunga tinggal maupun bunga gugur pada tanaman cabai besar. Namun, hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa perlakuan ZPT menghasilkan jumlah bunga tinggal yang lebih banyak dibandingkan bunga gugur. Pemberian IAA 25 ppm menghasilkan jumlah buah tinggal tertinggi dibandingkan konsentrasi IAA lainnya. Peningkatan konsentrasi GA3 cenderung meningkatkan jumlah buah tinggal dan tertinggi pada konsentrasi GA3 100 ppm. Interaksi antara jenis ZPT dan konsentrasi pemberiannya berpengaruh nyata terhadap bobot per buah. Perlakuan GA3 100 ppm menghasilkan bobot per buah tertinggi. Peningkatan konsentrasi auksin cenderung menurunkan bobot per buah. Pemberian IBA 100 ppm menurunkan panjang buah cabai besar., The study aimed to obtain morphophysiology information on fruit-drop events in chili plants on application of plant growth regulator (PGR) auxin (IAA and IBA) and gibberellins. The study was arranged based on a split-plot design in a randomized block design with 3 replications. The main plot is 3 types of PGR namely IAA, IBA, and GA3. The subplots are 5 levels of concentrations (ppm): 0, 25, 75, 50, and 100. The data were analyzed using STAR software and Smallest Significant Difference (LSD) 5%. The results showed that the application of PGR and concentration did not significantly affect the number of attached and abscised flowers. However, the application of PGR resulted in a higher number of attached flowers than the abscised flowers. Giving IAA 25 ppm produced the highest number of fruits compared to other IAA concentrations. Increasing the concentration of GA3 tends to increase the number of attached fruits and the highest at 100 ppm GA3. The interaction between PGR and concentration significantly affected the weight per fruit. The treatment of GA3 100 ppm produces the highest weight per fruit. Increasing the concentration of auxin tends to reduce the weight per fruit. The IBA 100 ppm decreases the length of chili.

KATRIANI MANTJA. Growth and Yield of corn on dryland farming inoculated with indigenous Trichoderma (supervised by Yunus Musa, Ambo Ala and Ade Rosmana). This research aimed to obtain indigenous Trichoderma spp. then to evaluate the effect of inoculation of the indigenous Trichoderma spp.; drought stress; and NPK fertilizer application on the growth and yield of dryland corn. This research stages: (1) Isolation and characterization of indigenous Trichoderma spp.; (2) test on the growing capability of indigenous Trichoderma spp.; (3) assessment on the role of indigenous Trichoderma spp. in the growth and yield of corn under water stress condition; and (4) study on the role of indigenous Trichoderma spp. along with application of NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of dryland corn. Research results show: Maros indigenous isolate was Trichoderma harzianum (0.676x105 cfu); Jeneponto was Trichoderma longibrachiatum (0.523x105 cfu); and Takalar was Trichoderma koningii (0,278x105 cfu). Inoculation of the Maros??? Trichoderma harzianum at 80-100% of field capacity moisture was able to increase chlorophyll content; relative growing rate of 48-69 days after planting; and seeds weight per plant. Also, this Maros??? isolate under 40-60% of field capacity moisture, was able to increase seeds weight per plant. Inoculation of Jeneponto???s Trichoderma longibrachiatum along with application of 600 kg ha-1 NPK fertilizers was able to increase leaf area; absorption of N, P and K; and cob length. Correspondingly, inoculation of this Jeneponto???s isolate with 450 kg ha-1 NPK fertilizers was able to increase absorption of N, P and K. The role of indigenous Trichoderma spp. to corn in terms of resistance against drought and fertilizing efficiency was found to be significant only on the variables of Nitrogen, Phosphor and Potassium absorption; cob length and seed weight per plant. Plants and microorganisms interaction often occur in the rhizosphere and improve plant growth. In this research, we tried to isolate Trichoderma from maize rhizosphere and evaluated for its role in stimulating of seedling growth. Three isolates of this fungus were collected from maize plantation in Maros, Takalar, and Jeneponto regencies, Sulawesi, Indonesia. The tree isolates have same characteristic apparent with thick and velvety in texture, dark green in color, and rapid growth in PDA medium. Comparing with control, the application of these isolates offered no any impact on seed germination, but significantly increased root length, shoot length, dry root weight, and dry shoot weight. No significant different between isolates, except the root treated by Jeneponto isolate was more longer than that treated by Maros and Takalar isolates. These data showed the potential of this indigenous Trichoderma as agent of plant growth.
