The article presents the technological advances and modernizations carried out at national and / or world level in the field of increasing the electric steel quality. In this context, conventional complex steel processing methods are analyzed outside the electric arc furnace, in order to increase the electric steel quality. Special non-conventional procedures for the production of quality steels are also presented. The progress achieved in the field of steel production, mainly aimed at increasing productivity and quality, had as a basic premise the "secondary metallurgy" or the treatment of the metal outside the primary production aggregate (furnace or converter). This concept involves transforming the furnace or the converter into a specialized fast-melting aggregate, the rest of the processes specific to advanced steel refining being carried out in pots (which is why the "pot metallurgy" denomination is also used). We will also present in the article a revolutionary concept for the steel production in the electric arc furnace, a procedure which is the subject of a patent application belonging to the authors of this article, applying the pyramid effect for the steel production in the electric arc furnace.

The spatial organization of enterprises is of great importance for the metallic materials industry (metallurgy), given the diversity and complexity of the technological processes and the related equipment. In an enterprise from the metallic materials industry, there may be sections for: production, casting, forging, mechanical (hot and / or cold) processing, assembly etc. for the different stages of the technological process related to the products to be made. The article presents theoretical and practical elements regarding the management of the spatial organization of enterprises in the metallic materials industry. The principles and methods of spatial organization are presented and analyzed. These principles and methods are based on the biunivocal relation between the functional and constructive changes related to the technologies and equipment (machinery, aggregates) specific to the metallic material industry. Prescribing (establishing) the objective function (OF) of the technological processes modeling system in the metallic materials industry is based on the qualitative - economic analysis of these processes.

Background: The subendocardial viability ratio (SEVR), also known as the Buckberg index, is a parameter of arterial stiffness with indirect prognostic value in assessing long-term cardiovascular risk. Materials and Methods: We conducted a prospective cohort study on 70 patients with uncomplicated hypertension admitted to a county medical reference hospital. We analyzed demographics, laboratory data, arterial stiffness parameters and cardiovascular risk scores (SCORE and Framingham risk scores) and aimed to identify paraclinical parameters associated with increased cardiovascular risk. Results: Of the arterial stiffness parameters, SEVR correlates statistically significantly with age, central and peripheral systolic blood pressure, as well as with heart rate. SEVR seems to have prognostic value among hypertensive patients by increasing the risk of major cardiovascular events assessed by SCORE and Framingham risk scores. SEVR correlates statistically significantly with serum fibrinogen (p = 0.02) and hemoglobin (p = 0.046). Between pulse wave velocity and lipid parameters (p = 0.021 for low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and p = 0.030 for triglycerides) a statistically significant relationship was found for the study group. The augmentation index of the aorta also correlated with serum LDL-cholesterol (p = 0.032) and the hemoglobin levels (p = 0.040) of hypertensive patients. Conclusions: Age, abdominal circumference and Framingham score are independent predictors for SEVR in our study group, further highlighting the need for early therapeutic measures to control risk factors in this category of patients. Our article presents possibilities of applying the concept Fuzzy Networks for an efficient metallurgical industry in Romania. We also present and analyze Fuzzy Networks complementary concepts, such as Expert Systems (ES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Analytics and Intelligent Strategies (SAI). The main results of our article are based on a case study of the possibilities of applying these concepts in metallurgy through Fuzzy Networks. There are presented the domains afferent to KIBS are defined complying with the standardized classification of industrial sectors according to European Monitoring Centre on Change (EMCC). It is also analyze important approaches in the specific scientific literature, the research methodology a study case. KIBS concept implementation to the Romanian metallurgical industry aims also to include performance of activities concerning the formulation and development of new specific concepts.

The study focused on the impact of 100% non-refundable European funds on new businesses established in Romania through the Start-up Plus and Start-up Diaspora financing programs.In this sense, a standardized questionnaire consisting of 35 questions was designed and applied to a sample of 198 entrepreneurs who benefited from 100% non-refundable financing of approximately 40,000 euros during the years 2019 - 2020. As a result of the validation of all questionnaires completed by the beneficiaries of these types of funding, we used SPSS v.16.0 and SPSS v. 29.0 to interpret the obtained data.The obtained results led us to a series of worrying conclusions regarding the management and sustainability of this type of financial support among newly established enterprises.The result of this research can represent one of the most important starting points for the central public authorities necessary for the development of future funding lines [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The study focuses on the efficiency of the current financial management applicable to start-ups financed by European funds, in the context of policies at the European level, which aims to transition from the traditional economic model (linear economy) to a circular economy. This transition requires, first of all, the establishment of stable and long-lasting links between young entrepreneurs and research institutes. The obtained results provided us with a fairly broad framework from which we were able to build a mathematical model that realizes the synergy between the business environment financed by non-reimbursable funds and the research infrastructures that can offer entrepreneurs innovative solutions through which the transition to a circular economy. The result of the research, and implicitly the proposed mathematical model, can represent the starting point for the institutions that finance start-ups in terms of sustainable economic development both at the entrepreneurial level and especially at the national and international economic level. Androgen insensitivity syndrome (AIS) is an X-linked recessive genetic syndrome that occurs as result of an androgen receptor mutation; it affects the normal masculinization process in chromosomal male patients. More than 900 androgen receptor mutations that can lead to AIS have been identified. The complete androgen insensitivity is characterized by a total lack of response to androgens, usually in patients with 46XY karyotype but with feminine phenotype. Primary amenorrhoea and inguinal swellings in female patients are the main signs that could raise suspicion for this syndrome. Patients with partial androgen insensitivity have ambiguous genitalia at birth and gynecomastia during puberty, whereas those with mild androgen insensitivity present a normal male phenotype but altered spermatogenesis during adulthood and pubertal gynecomastia. The diagnosis of AIS often proves to be a challenge; its management is complex and requires a multidisciplinary approach to meet decision-making challenges in sex assignment, fertility and timing of gonadectomy, psychological outcomes and genetic counselling.
