Enquadramento: O trabalho de parto é um processo inimitável, único e emocionante para a mulher que o experiencia. Vários organismos nacionais e internacionais recomendam a mobilidade e adoção de posturas verticais, como práticas benéficas na dinâmica do primeiro estádio do trabalho de parto. Objetivo: Identificar a evidencia científica sobre a influência da mobilidade e adoção de posturas verticais na duração do 1º estádio do trabalho de parto. Método: Realizou-se uma revisão integrativa da literatura, através da pesquisa em bases de dados bibliográficas online. Dois revisores independentes avaliaram a relevância dos artigos, a extração e síntese dos dados. Resultados: Da pesquisa (337 artigos) obtiveram-se doze artigos para análise, a qual demonstrou quase com unanimidade que a mobilidade materna e a adoção de posturas verticais durante o primeiro estádio do trabalho de parto encurtam a duração desse estádio. Conclusão: Apesar do consenso encontrado, a heterogeneidade dos estudos analisados quanto ao número de participantes e tipo de intervenções, requer atenção na interpretação dos resultados e aponta para a necessidade de mais estudos sobre a temática.

(1) Background: Obstetric violence has been highlighted in the political and social agenda of several countries. Efforts have been made to create policies to humanize obstetric care, guarantee the rights of pregnant women and respond to this form of violence. The lack of consensus on the appropriate terminology to name and define the behaviours that constitute obstetric violence, hinders this process. (2) Objective: To analyse the concept of obstetric violence related to assistance to women during labor. (3) Methodology: Scoping review protocol, according to the Joanna Briggs Institute method. The search will be performed on EBSCOhost Research Platform, PubMed, Virtual Health Library and SciVerse Scopus databases. The Open Scientific Repository of Portugal will also be considered. All types of studies, published in the last 10 years, in English, Spanish and Portuguese languages, constitute inclusion criteria. Studies of women experiencing labor, in a hospital setting, that address the dimensions of the concept of obstetric violence will be reviewed. (4) Discussion: The results will serve as a basis for identifying the appropriate terminology of the concept of obstetric violence, in order to direct future research with interest in the problem.

Pregnancy is characterized by hormonal and physiological changes; some of these changes cause changes in sleep, presenting excessive sleep in early pregnancy due to the action of progesterone, and difficulty sleeping at the end of pregnancy due to weight gain and frequency of urination. Objective: to identify and systematize the evidence on the association between sleep quality and perinatal depression in pregnant and postpartum women. Methods: an integrative literature review was carried out with a search in the CINAHL, MEDLINE, and SCOPUS databases using the PRISMA flowchart. Results: Of the 92 articles, 10 studies were included according to the eligibility criteria. Results indicate that poor sleep quality during pregnancy is predictive of prenatal and postnatal depression. Sleep quality worsens with increasing gestational and maternal age. Conclusions: Sleep quality during pregnancy is associated with perinatal depression, a global public health problem with high prevalence. Due to its severe consequences for women, children, and families, perinatal depression needs to be identified early, preferably during pregnancy or soon after childbirth, justifying the priority of screening and prevention.

Background: In 2019, the perinatal mortality rate in Portugal was 3.5%, one of the lowest rates in the past 10 years. Fetal death is one of the most traumatic experiences that women can face.Objective: To analyze women’s feelings/experiences in situations of fetal death.Methodology: Cross-sectional descriptive study with a qualitative approach. Non-probability convenience sampling. Ten semi-structured interviews with women who experienced fetal death. IRa-MuTeQ software, version 0.7 alpha 2, was used.Results: Women reported that fetal death was a painful experience and that the news of fetal death had been delivered to them in a cold and inhuman way. They were satisfied with the care provided by the nurses, and highlighted the relational component. They also pointed out the lack of information and the preparation for hospital discharge.Conclusion: Training activities aimed at the development of evidence-based practices should be implemented for the nurses who contact with women who experience fetal death, particularly regarding communication and interpersonal relationships.

Perceived health status is central to adequate health planning, not only because it plays a key role in health but also because it is related to the adoption of a health-promoting lifestyle. The objectives of the present study were to assess the self-perceived health status of the studied population and to correlate self-perceived health status with socioeconomic and demographic variables. This was a quantitative descriptive-correlational study. Data were collected by means of a sociodemographic questionnaire and the Portuguese version of the Medical Outcome Study Short-Form Health Survey (MOS SF-36). The assessed population was composed of the teaching and nonteaching staff of the studied school. IBM® SPSS® statistical software, version 20, was used. The sociodemographic indicators had a significant influence on the respondents' self-perceived health status. The age group of 36-40 years was associated with a significantly higher self-perceived health status than the other analyzed variables.

The purpose of this study was to understand the correlation between the elderly with depressive symptomatology and the predictors of the risk of violence against them. The method used was a quantitative approach using the Statistical Package program for Social Sciences. There was a participation of 237 elderly people aged 65-96 years, of the project “Aging in Safety in Alentejo-Understanding to Act”, at the University of Évora. The Geriatric Depression Scale and the Predictors of Risk of Violence (an adaptation of the Elder Abuse and Neglect-Risk Assessment Tool and Vulnerability to Abuse Screening Scale) were applied. About the results, 50 elderly (21.1%) had mild depressive symptomatology, and 14 (5.9%) had severe depressive symptomatology. Of the 64 elderly individuals who presented depressive symptomatology 55 were female. In the relationship between the severity of depressive symptomatology and predictors of risk of violence, significant results were found in three dimensions: current supports and relationships, family context and cognitive/emotional difficulties. The main conclusion of the study is that factors like no social support networks, complex family context and cognitive and emotional changes, contribute to greater physical and mental vulnerability of the elderly, resulting in cases of anxiety and stress, which present a depressive symptomatology and the risk of violence.

RESUMO Objetivo: analisar o desenvolvimento e a mobilização de competências relacionais, centrais no processo de cuidar, pelo estudante de enfermagem ao longo do seu processo de formação. Método: estudo descritivo-correlacional de abordagem quantitativa. A amostra foi constituída pelos estudantes do curso de enfermagem de uma Escola Superior de Saúde, no litoral de Portugal e os dados foram coletados através do Inventário de Competências Relacionais de Ajuda, já testado. Resultados: os estudantes adquirem gradualmente as competências genéricas, competências de comunicação e competências de contacto, atingindo a média mais alta no último ano do curso, enquanto na subescala competências empáticas os estudantes do 2º ano apresentam um valor médio superior. Conclusão: a idade e o ano do curso são variáveis decisivas na aquisição de competências específicas (empáticas e comunicação) pelos estudantes de enfermagem. RESUMEN Objetivo: este estudio analiza el desarrollo y la movilización de expertos relacional, central en la atención al estudiante de enfermería a lo largo de su processo formación. Método: se realizó un estudio descriptivo-correlacional de enfoque cuantitativo. La muestra incluyó a los alumnos del curso de enfermería de la Escuela de Salud, en la costa de Portugal y los datos fueron recogidos a través del Inventario de Habilidades Relational Ayuda, ya probado. Resultados: los resultados obtenidos indican que los estudantes adquirir gradualmente “habilidades blandas”, “habilidades de comunicación” y “habilidades de contacto”, alcanzando el promedio más alto en el último año, mientras que en subescala de “habilidades empáticas” estudiantes de segundo año tienen un valor promedio más alto. Conclusión: la edad y el año del curso son variables determinantes en la adquisición de habilidades específicas (Empática y la comunicación) de los estudiantes de enfermería. Objective : to identify the perception of young people in relation to the Sexual Double Standard in the context of emotional-sexual experiences. Method : this is about a descriptive study from quantitative approach. Data were collected in a Secondary School in the Alentejo region in 2007, authorization was requested by the Executive Council, mindful of the ethical component of data collection with humans. The study population was the student of the school has been chosen by a random sample of 288 students. The data were collected through self-completion questionnaire, being treated with SPSS version 18.0. Results : boys are more conservative than girls, and according to the data, older people are more conservative, as well as those who have more experiences of intercourse. The study results portray how teenagers live their sexuality, girls who “promise but does not" and the boys with his way of showing their excessive sexuality. However we found that overall the sample is more liberal than traditionalist. Conclusion : the boys differ significantly from that for girls, the differences between attitudes and sexual behaviors according to gender support the permanence of the sexual double standard. RESUMO Objetivo : identificar a percepcao dos jovens em relacao ao Duplo Padrao Sexual no contexto das vivencias afetivo-sexuais. Metodo : estudo descritivo, com abordagem quantitativa. Os dados foram colhidos numa Escola Secundaria da regiao Alentejo/Portugal em 2007, foi solicitada autorizacao ao Conselho Executivo, tendo presente a componente etica de recolha de dados com seres humanos. A populacao em estudo foi a dos alunos da instituicao escolar tendo-se optado por uma amostra acidental de 288 alunos. Recolheram-se os dados atraves de questionario de auto-preenchimento, sendo tratados no programa SPSS versao 18.0. Resultados : os rapazes sao mais conservadores do que as mocas e de acordo com os dados, os mais velhos sao mais conservadores, assim como aqueles que tem mais experiencias de coito. Os resultados do estudo retratam a forma como os adolescentes vivem a sua sexualidade, as mocas que “promete mas nao da” e os rapazes com a sua forma excessiva de demonstrar a sua sexualidade. No entanto verificamos que no geral a amostra e mais liberal do que tradicionalista. Conclusao : os rapazes diferem significativamente das mocas pelo que, as diferencas entre as atitudes e os comportamentos sexuais segundo o genero apoiam a permanencia do duplo padrao sexual. RESUMEN Objetivo : identificar la percepcion de los jovenes en relacion con la doble moral sexual en el contexto de las experiencias afectivo-sexual. Metodo : estudio descriptivo con enfoque cuantitativo. Los datos fueron recolectados en una escuela secundaria en la region de Alentejo en 2007, la autorizacion fue solicitada por el Consejo Ejecutivo, teniendo en cuenta el componente etico de la recopilacion de datos con los seres humanos. La poblacion de estudio fue el estudiante de la escuela ha sido elegida por una muestra aleatoria de 288 estudiantes. Los datos fueron recolectados a traves de cuestionario de auto-realizacion, siendo tratado con el programa SPSS version 18.0. Resultados : los ninos son mas conservadoras que las ninas, y de acuerdo a los datos, las personas mayores son mas conservadores, asi como aquellos que tienen mas experiencias de las relaciones sexuales. Los resultados del estudio describen como los adolescentes viven su sexualidad, las ninas que "promete, pero no" y los chicos con su manera de mostrar su sexualidad excesiva. Sin embargo, encontramos que, en general la muestra es mas liberal que tradicionalista. Conclusion : los ninos difieren significativamente de las ninas, las diferencias entre las actitudes y los comportamientos sexuales de acuerdo a apoyar la incorporacion de la permanencia de la doble moral sexual. Preserving the privacy of the user is a dimension of the care that is part of the ethical responsibilities of the profession of nursing process. Intimacy is a right of the user that connects to the design of human dignity, which is transcribed in several national and international official documents, in particular the Lisbon Declaration on the rights of patients, the code of ethics for nurses and the Portuguese constitution. Understand how nursing faculty percecionam preserving the privacy of the user during the acquisition of relational skills of nursing students. Descriptive study, correlational qualitative approach. Non- probabilistic sample of convenience of 19 teachers from two schools (A and B). Data collection was done through a semi- structured interview. All ethical procedures were followed. In the treatment of socio biographical interview data using SPSS version 20 was used. In the analysis of the interviews we used a software developed for textual analysis, Lexicale Analyse d'un couple Context Ensemble Segments of Texte (Alceste) 2010. The Software has established 76 UCE to define each class and promoted the distribution of the set of textual data in 3 different classes by hierarchical descent. The three classes originated covering specific lexical contexts, each being called with: Class 1 - Skills, Class 2 - Relational, Class 3 - Intimacy. According to the content of the classes it appears that , during the process of teaching and learning , faculty respondents attach greater importance to the acquisition of skills ( Class 1 ) , second place to issues related to intimacy ( class 3 ) and finally the relational part ( class 2 ) in the care the user process. Class 3 - Intimacy, there was the absence of certain terms, which seems to be related to the class 1, such as year, ensin + clin + + compet, estud + + avali. For the construction of the class contributed mainly subjects from School A. Intimacy was defined as class 3 of the corpus of interviews with teachers. The Alceste Software grouped in this class words related to the intimacy of the wearer. Defined by Ascending Hierarchical Classification (AHC) two categories (preservation of intimacy and care process) and four subcategories of this class (preservation, empathic relationship, and relational competencies competenciatecnico - scientific), with differences in the amount of meaningful words for each class and subclass. The results point to the need to use reflective methodologies through real examples and experiences in the teaching- learning process of nursing students. We believe that the preservation of privacy and intimacy should be central concepts in nursing education.
