TermX is an open-source knowledge management and sharing platform, including a terminology server, a Wiki, a model designer, a transformation editor, and tools for authoring and publishing. The core development goals of TermX were to enhance the semantic interoperability of software and systems, particularly within the healthcare sector, by improving access to terminology, simplifying the design of data models, optimising the efficiency of data transformations across various data models, and developing implementation guides through an intuitive web interface. TermX aims to guarantee open and standardised access to published terminology, data models and schemas, ensuring semantic interoperability following the FHIR standard or other standards or agreements.

The study focuses on government support for industrial parks as tools for sustainable development in Russia and other countries. The work investigates the influence of industrial activities, particularly those within eco-industrial parks, on the economic, social, and environmental conditions of regions and the country as a whole. The authors examined the main forms of support, financing, and regulation of industrial park activities and identified problematic aspects of state support for them. The experience of state support for industrial parks in China, Germany, and the USA is analyzed. The main features, approaches, and development tools are highlighted. Based on the analysis, a revised model of state support for industrial parks was developed within the framework of the concept of sustainable development, which can be implemented in Russia. The model consists of three stages of support, which are initiated at various levels of government, impacting both the federal and regional levels, as well as the actions of private investors. It is proposed to increase the use of indirect state support, creating favorable conditions for private investors. This approach is expected to result in more efficient investment utilization, enhanced competitiveness of enterprises, and a shift towards an environmentally-focused approach in industrial parks.

Background: The rhetorical structure of various genres of written scientific communication has been extensively covered in articles by contemporary researchers from different countries. However, the rhetorical structure of oral scientific presentations accompanying the presentation and defence of graduation theses, scientific research, and others has not received the same level of detailed study and attention. Nevertheless, the effectiveness of presenting conducted research significantly influences the degree and depth of its further acceptance by the readership. Purpose: to summarise the literature on the rhetorical structure of verbal presentation of scientific research results accompanied by a presentation. Materials and Methods: We conducted a search of the Scopus bibliographic databases on March 2nd, 2023, and carried out a related grey literature search on March 27th, 2023. We screened the titles and abstracts of the retrieved records. From these records, we extracted demographic characteristics related to the rhetorical structure of oral presentations representing scientific research results. Following this, we extracted passages from empirical studies that described empirically derived moves and steps in speeches during oral presentations. These moves and steps were summarised and presented in the form of a universal matrix for the oral presentation of scientific research results. Results: In the result of the search request 63 articles were found. Having screened all the papers we revealed that only 11 of them met our predetermined inclusion criteria. All these papers were journal research articles. It is worth stating that the majority of the studies were dedicated to rhetorical structure in written presentation of scientific research outcomes and there is a lack of papers related to moves and steps of verbal presentation of scientific research outcomes. Conclusion: This systematic scoping review identified the moves and steps highlighted by authors in the reviewed articles within the oral speech accompanying the presentation of scientific research results to an audience. This matrix can be used to construct a more effective oral presentation of scientific research outcomes. Limitations of the work include the restriction to English language articles and the fact that the methodological quality of the articles included in our extraction was not assessed.

Magnetoencephalography data from participants with high and low trait anxiety reveals a potential role for oscillations in the anterior cingulate and medial prefrontal cortex in anxiety-associated learning.

A central question in behavioural neuroscience is how different rewards modulate learning. While the role of monetary rewards is well-studied in decision-making research, the influence of abstract rewards like music remains poorly understood. This study investigated the dissociable effects of these two reward types on decision making. Forty participants completed two decision-making tasks, each characterised by probabilistic associations between stimuli and rewards, with probabilities changing over time to reflect environmental volatility. In each task, choices were reinforced either by monetary outcomes (win/lose) or by the endings of musical melodies (consonant/dissonant). We applied the Hierarchical Gaussian Filter, a validated hierarchical Bayesian framework, to model learning under these two conditions. Bayesian statistics provided evidence for similar learning patterns across both reward types, suggesting individuals’ similar adaptability. However, within the musical task, individual preferences for consonance over dissonance explained some aspects of learning. Specifically, correlation analyses indicated that participants more tolerant of dissonance behaved more stochastically in their belief-to-response mappings and were less likely to choose the response associated with the current prediction for a consonant ending, driven by higher volatility estimates. By contrast, participants averse to dissonance showed increased tonic volatility, leading to larger updates in reward tendency beliefs.

Abstract A mathematical model of the process of heat diffusion in a closed metal wire is considered. This wire is wrapped around a thin sheet of insulation material. We assume that the insulation is slightly permeable. Because of this, the temperature at the point of the wire on one side of the insulation influences the diffusion process in the wire on the other side of the insulation. Thus, the standard heat equation will change and an extra term with involution will be added. When modeling of this process there arises an initial-boundary value problem for a one-dimensional heat equation with involution and with a boundary condition of periodic type with respect to a spatial variable. We prove the well-posedness of the formulated problem in the class of strong generalized solutions. The use of the method of separation of variables leads to a spectral problem for an ordinary differential operator with involution at the highest derivative. All eigenfunctions of the problem are constructed. In the case when all eigenvalues of the problem are simple, the system of eigenfunctions does not form an unconditional basis. A criterion when this spectral problem can have an infinite number of multiple eigenvalues is proved. Corresponding root subspaces consist of one eigenfunction and one associated function. We prove that the system of root functions forms an unconditional basis and can be used for constructing a solution of the heat conduction problem by the method of separation of variables. We also consider an inverse problem. This is the problem on restoring (simultaneously with solving) of an unknown stationary source of external influence with respect to an additionally known final state. The existence of a unique solution of this inverse problem and its stability with respect to initial and final data are proved.

Word stress is demanding for non-native learners of English, partly because speakers from different backgrounds weight perceptual cues to stress like pitch, intensity, and duration differently. Slavic learners of English and particularly those with a fixed stress language background like Czech and Polish have been shown to be less sensitive to stress in their native and non-native languages. In contrast, German English learners are rarely discussed in a word stress context. A comparison of these varieties can reveal differences in the foreign language processing of speakers from two language families. We use electroencephalography (EEG) to explore group differences in word stress cue perception between Slavic and German learners of English. Slavic and German advanced English speakers were examined in passive multi-feature oddball experiments, where they were exposed to the word impact as an unstressed standard and as deviants stressed on the first or second syllable through higher pitch, intensity, or duration. The results revealed a robust Mismatch Negativity (MMN) component of the event-related potential (ERP) in both language groups in response to all conditions, demonstrating sensitivity to stress changes in a non-native language. While both groups showed higher MMN responses to stress changes to the second than the first syllable, this effect was more pronounced for German than for Slavic participants. Such group differences in non-native English word stress perception from the current and previous studies are argued to speak in favor of customizable language technologies and diversified English curricula compensating for non-native perceptual variation.

Background. Academic writing skills are crucial to the enterprise of higher education, because much of the academic communication is in writing. As a rule, foreign language learners face different problems with vocabulary misuse, grammatical errors, spelling, capitalization, punctuation and some others when write academic texts in English. There are various technologies for solving these problems. One of them is digital support, because traditional types of academic writing instruction in the classroom are not always sufficient. Purpose. The present study researches the influence of digital support on students’ knowledge and punctuation skills in academic writing in English. Methods. The paper summarizes the results of an empirical study: training punctuation in academic writing lessons for two groups of students. The control group was applied a face-to-face and a text-book based traditional methodology. The experimental group was trained not only with a basic text-book but also with digital support. The level of knowledge and abilities in punctuation were measured with three final tests. Results. The results obtained indicate that digital support has significant didactic potential that is why it should be applied permanently in academic writing training process.

ABSTRACT: Since 2005 campylobacteriosis has been the most commonly reported gastrointestinal infection in humans in the European Union with more than 200,000 cases annually. Also Campylobacter is one of the most frequent cause of food-borne outbreaks with 319 outbreaks reported to EFSA, involving 1,254 cases of disease and 125 hospitalizations in EU in 2019. Importantly poultry meat is one of the most common source for the sporadic Campylobacter infections and for strong-evidence campylobacteriosis food-borne outbreaks in EU.In present study, 429 fresh broiler chicken meat samples of Estonian, Latvian, and Lithuanian origin were collected from Estonian retail level and analyzed on a monthly basis between September 2018 and October 2019. Campylobacter spp. were isolated in 141 (32.9%) of 429 broiler chicken meat samples. Altogether 3 (1.8%), 49 (36.8%), and 89 (66.9%) of Estonian, Latvian, and Lithuanian origin broiler chicken meat samples were positive for Campylobacter spp. Among Campylobacter-positive samples, 62 (14.5%) contained Campylobacter spp. below 100 CFU/g and in 28 (6.5%) samples the count of Campylobacter spp. exceeded 1,000 CFU/g. A high prevalence of Campylobacter spp. in fresh broiler chicken meat of Lithuanian and Latvian origin in Estonian retail was observed. Additionally, 22 different multilocus sequence types were identified among 55 genotyped isolates of broiler chicken meat and human origin, of which 45 were Campylobacter jejuni (C. jejuni) and 10 were Campylobacter coli (C. coli). The most prevalent multilocus sequence types among C. jejuni was ST2229 and among C. coli ST832, ST872. C. jejuni genotypes found in both broiler chicken meat and human origin samples were ST122, ST464, ST7355, and ST9882, which indicates that imported fresh broiler chicken meat is likely the cause of human campylobacteriosis in Estonia.

Nowadays, when the role of knowing foreign languages is extremely high and the demand for specialists who are proficient in a language is continuing to increase, we face the problem of a lack of desire to learn foreign languages among non-linguistic majors. We supposed that the type of teacher-student interaction style (authoritarian, democratic, and liberal) could influence students’ motivation type (internal, external positive, external negative, or amotivation) and this was the aim of the study. We surveyed 230 second-year students of the intramural form of study seeking a baccalaureate degree from Moscow State University of Food Production. Among the respondents there were 143 girls and 87 boys aged 18-20, citizens of the Russian Federation. The experiment was divided into three stages and it took three semesters to complete the study. The aim of the first stage was to investigate students’ preferences related to teacher-student interaction style, and the prevailing type of learning motivation to study and to learn foreign languages. The second stage of the study was aimed to investigate how teacher-student interaction style influences the nature and type of students' motivation to learn. In the last stage of the study, the output testing of student performance was implemented and all the results from the previous stages were compared and analyzed. The results of the experiment clearly demonstrated that both authoritarian and democratic teacher-student interaction styles could have a positive influence on students’ educational behaviour and academic performances while the implementation of the liberal teacher-student interaction style led to amotivation. At the same time, the democratic style, contrary to the authors' hypothesis, predominantly provoked external motivation, while an authoritarian style significantly activated internal motivation.

Poultry meat is considered the most important source of Campylobacter spp. Because of rising antimicrobial resistance in Campylobacter spp., this study investigated the antimicrobial resistance of Campylobacter isolates from fresh broiler chicken meat originating from the Baltic countries sold in Estonian retail settings. Additionally, human clinical isolates obtained from patients with Campylobacter enteritis in Estonia were analysed. The aim of this study was to investigate the susceptibility of Campylobacter spp. to nalidixic acid, ciprofloxacin, tetracycline, streptomycin, erythromycin and gentamicin. The broth microdilution method with the EUCAMP2 panel was used for MIC determination and antimicrobial mechanisms were analysed using WGS data. A total of 46 Campylobacter strains were analysed, of which 26 (42.6%) originated from Lithuanian, 16 (26.2%) from Latvian, and 4 (6.6%) from Estonian fresh broiler chicken meat. In addition, 15 (24.6%) Campylobacter strains of patients with campylobacteriosis were tested. The antimicrobial resistance patterns of Campylobacter spp. isolated from fresh broiler chicken meat samples of Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian origin collected in Estonian retail, and from patients with Campylobacter enteric infections, were determined. A total of 46 (75%) of the isolates tested were C. jejuni and 15 (25%) were C. coli. Campylobacter resistance was highest to nalidixic acid (90.2% of strains) and ciprofloxacin (90.2%), followed by tetracycline (57.4%), streptomycin (42.6%) and erythromycin (6.6%). All strains were sensitive to gentamicin. Additionally, antimicrobial resistance genes and point mutations were detected in 27 C. jejuni and 8 C. coli isolates previously assigned as resistant with the phenotypic method. A high antibiotic resistance of Campylobacter spp. in Lithuanian- and Latvian-origin broiler chicken meat and Estonian clinical isolates was found. Similar antibiotic resistance patterns were found for broiler chicken meat and human Campylobacter isolates.

The prospects and directions of improvement of the methodology for strategic enterprise management have been highlighted. The subject of the research is theoretical and methodological aspects of creating a strategic enterprise management system based on the concept of a Balanced Scorecard (BSC). It has been revealed that in the context of changing the concept of the enterprise strategic development toward the growth of its intellectual capital as the main factor of competitiveness, the evolution of the enterprise management and planning system from strategic enterprise management to balanced enterprise management is taking place. The balanced scorecard has been defined as the basic concept of balanced enterprise management. The purpose of the study is to outline the prospects and directions for improving the methodology of strategic enterprise management under the conditions of its evolution into balanced enterprise management. Results. On the basis of a mathematical representation of the sphere of strategic responsibility (SSR) of the enterprise as an organizational and infrastructural environment for balanced enterprise management, it has been proved that the interaction of the SSR content components results in a synergistic effect of its expansion. This, in turn, determines the necessity and possibility of distributing the company’s SSR beyond its management and involving the initiative owners in the process of balanced enterprise management. Accordingly, the prospects for improvement of the strategic enterprise management methodology have been defined as an integration of strategic management systems, approaches, methods and the BSC with non-traditional eventological methods combined with the analytic hierarchy process. It has been proved that, from the standpoint of the eventology, subjective observations and the mathematical apparatus of the theory of random events allow identification of general statistical regularities of the probabilistic set distribution in various, including management, systems. From the standpoint of a balanced approach, the need for enriching the methodology of the BSC as a system of balanced enterprise management, using the eventological analysis, is being boosted by the need to take into account the growing number of random, multi-directional and seemingly unrelated factors in the management process. Methodology. The following research methods were used in the study: the expert assessment method, factor analysis – for the formation of the management panel of the BSC; the eventological scoring and analytic hierarchy process – for balancing and structuring key performance indicators (KPI), economic and mathematical methods – to analyse the SSRs of the enterprise as an organizational and infrastructural environment for balanced enterprise management; a critical analysis – to compare alternative approaches to the formation of the BSC. Value/originality. To achieve the purpose of the study, the BSC methodology has been presented as a system of balanced enterprise management. A methodical approach to balancing and structuring KPIs, using the results of eventological analysis and analytic hierarchy process, has been proposed. Its practical implications include the possibility of reaching the target balance of indicators taking into account weighing coefficients of the main indicator selection criteria, the possibility to determine the whole system balance index as the average of the balance indices of each of the indicators that characterize the enterprise performance. The ways of implementing the methods of e-scoring and analytic hierarchy process for the assessment and correction of the enterprise’s strategy have been studied. Integration of e-scoring with the strategic enterprise management method and the BSC methodology provides an effective vertical communication as the basic principle of balanced enterprise management, which extends the scope of strategic responsibility to subordinate initiative owners.

Хроничната възпалителна демиелинизираща полиневропатия (ХВДНП) и синдромът на Guillain-Barre (GBS) се отнасят към групата на автоимунните демиелинизиращи заболявания на периферната нервна система. Известни са различни субтипове на двете състояния, което в някои от случаите довежда до затруднение в терапията. Въпреки че заболяванията могат да завър шат с пълно излекуване, не са редки случаите на инвалидизация и смъртност при пациентите. Лечението на ХВДНП се разделя на начално и поддържащо лечение. Към момента плазмаферезата (РЕ), кортико сте роидите (КС), интравенозният (IvIg) и подкожният имуноглобулин (ScIg) са доказали своята ефективност при лечение на ХВДНП и се считат като първа линия на терапия (6). Интравенозният имуноглобулин (IvIg) и плазмаферезата (PE) са ефективни при синдрома на Guillain-Barre, като показват еднакъв профил на ефективност. Не са доказани други лечения, които да повлияват заболяването. Различни проучвания установяват, че независимо от препоръките на Американската академия по неврология (AAN) и Европейска федерация на неврологичните дружества / Общество по периферна нервна система (EFNS/PNS) голяма част от невролозите проявяват индивидуален подход по отношение на диагностиката и лечението на ХВДНП и GBS, често залагайки на личния си опит и съобразявайки се с цената на медикаментите. Това в някои случаи довежда до погрешно диагностициране на двете състояния, неправилна терапия или лечение в субтерапевтични дози.

Although some studies have investigated the clinicopathologic relationships between papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) and Hashimoto's thyroiditis (HT), there is still no clear understanding of differences in tumor immune microenvironment for PTC with coexisting HT and HT effect on PTC progression. The aim of this study was to clarify immune-mediated mechanisms of coexisting HT, which might influence PTC progression. 30 patients with histologically confirmed conventional-type PTC and 30 patients with PTC and coexisting HT were enrolled in the study. To analyze the role of immune-mediated links between PTC and HT, immunohistochemical investigation was conducted to count the number of different immune cells including T-cytotoxic cells (CD8), plasma cells (CD138), Treg cells (FOXP3), mast cells (MCT), and M2 macrophages (CD163). It was shown that despite the high number of immune cells in the intact thyroid tissues of PTC patients with coexisting HT there were no significant differences in M2 macrophages, mast cells and Treg counts inside PTC with or without HT. PTC with HT was associated with a higher number of CD8+ cells (P < 0.001) reflecting the ability of immune system to generate and recruit T-cytotoxic cells in tumor area, which can explain the protective effect of HT on PTC progression. Lymph node metastases development was associated with an increased number of mast cells, M2 macrophages and Treg along with a decreased plasma cells count regardless of coexisting HT. However, we did not find significant differences in T-cytotoxic cells quantity in node-positive and node-negative patients with or without HT, which encourages further investigation of immune escape mechanisms in PTC.

Множествената склероза (МС) е автоимунно заболяване на централната нервна система (ЦНС), свързано с инфилтрация предимно на активирани автореактивни Т клетки в ЦНС, които увреждат, както миелина, така и аксоните. Т-клетките, участващи в патогенезата на заболяването са основно CD4+ клетки, а именно- Th1 и Th17 клетки. Те произвеждат проинфламаторни цитокини (IL-2, IL-12, IFN-y, TNF-a, IL-17A, IL-17F, IL-21, IL-22, IL-23, IL-6, IL-9 и IFN-γ). Fingolimod е сфингозин-1- фосфатен рецепторен агонист и е първият одобрен перорален препарат за лечение на пристъпно-ремитентна МС. Механизмът му на действие е свързан със задържане на автореактивните Т-клетки е периферните лимфни възли. Представяме клиничен случай на жена на 38 г. с пристъпно-ремитентна МС, която провежда лечение с Fingolimod. Проследихме корелациите между клиничните показатели (брой пристъпи на заболяването, динамика в неврологичния статус и оценяване по EDSS, динамика в находката от контролните МРТ на главен мозък) и имунологичните данни (нива на Th17 клетки, IL-6, IL-17A, TGF-β1, IL-23 в периферна кръв). Проследяването се проведе на шести и дванадесети месец от началото на лечението, като IL-6 беше изследван единствено на шести месец от терапията. Резултатите се сравниха с тези при 10 здрави лица-контроли и 14 пациенти с пристъпно-ремитентна МС, които не се лекуват - обект на друго наше проучване. Откриха се корелации между нивата на Th17 клетки и IL-6 и клиничното състояние на пациентката, което може да е от полза при оценка на ефективността от терапията.

Extended-spectrum beta-lactamases (ESBL) and AmpC producing-Escherichia coli have spread worldwide, but data about ESBL-producing-E. coli in the Northern and Eastern regions of Europe is scant. The aim of this study has been to describe the phenotypical and molecular epidemiology of different ESBL/AmpC/Carbapenemases genes in E. coli strains isolated from the Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania), Norway and St. Petersburg (Russia), and to determine the predominant multilocus sequence type and single nucleotide polymorphisms diversity of E. coli isolates deduced by whole genome sequencing (WGS). A total of 10,780 clinical E. coli strains were screened for reduced sensitivity to third-generation cephalosporins. They were collected from 21 hospitals located in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and St. Petersburg during a 5 month period in 2012. The overall prevalence of ESBL/AmpC strains was 4.7% by phenotypical test and 3.9% by sequencing. We found more strains with the ESBL/AmpC phenotype and genotype in St. Petersburg and Latvia than other countries. Of phenotypic E. coli strains, 85% contained confirmed ESBL genes (including blaCTX–M, blaTEM–29, blaTEM–71), AmpC genes (blaCMY–59, blaACT–12/–15/–20, blaESC–6, blaFEC–1, blaDHA–1), or carbapenemase genes (blaNDM–1). blaCTX–M–1, blaCTX–M–14 and blaCTX–M–15 were found in all countries, but blaCTX–M–15 prevalence was higher in Latvia than in St. Petersburg (Russia), Estonia, Norway and Lithuania. The dominating AmpC genes were blaCMY–59 in the Baltic States and Norway, and blaDHA–1 in St. Petersburg. E. coli strains belonged to 83 different sequence types, of which the most prevalent was ST131 (40%). In conclusion, we generally found low ESBL/AmpC/Carbapenemase prevalence in E. coli strains isolated in Northern/Eastern Europe. However, several inter-country differences in distribution of particular genes and multilocus sequence types were found.

The article highlights the experimental results on calf demand provision by mammary gland secretion during the first days of post-natal development. Changes in mammary gland secretion content during the transition process from colostrum to natural milk were showed. Lactoferrin level changes were demonstrated. Population-based composition of colostrum somatic cells was determined. A hypothesis concerning apoptosis role of the somatic cells and neutrophils’ burst was presented. The present study highlights calf provision with mammary gland secretion during the first 10 days of the postnatal development.

This study has evaluated the correlation between different carbapenemases detection methods on carbapenem non-susceptible Klebsiella pneumoniae strains from Northern and Eastern Europe; 31 institutions in 9 countries participated in the research project, namely Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, St. Petersburg, Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, and Georgia. During the research program, a total of 5,001 clinical K. pneumoniae isolates were screened for any carbapenem non-susceptibility by the disk diffusion method, Vitek 2 or Phoenix system following the EUCAST guideline on detection of resistance mechanisms, version 1.0. Strains isolated from outpatients and hospitalized patients from April 2015 to June 2015 were included. All types of samples (blood, pus, urine, etc.) excluding fecal screening or fecal colonization samples have been represented. In total, 171 carbapenemase screening-positive K. pneumoniae isolates (3.42%) were found and characterized. Several methods were used for detection of carbapenemases production, including Luminex assay (PCR and hybridization), whole genome sequencing, MALDI-TOF based Imipenem degradation assay, and immunochromatography testing. Minimal inhibitory concentration determination for Meropenem by agar-based gradient method was also used. Finally, 83 K. pneumoniae strains were carbapenemase negative by all confirmation methods (49.4% of all screening-positive ones), 74 – positive by three methods (44.0%), 8 – positive by two methods (4.8%) and 3 – positive by only one method (1.8%). The sensitivity of the tests was 96.3% for Whole genome sequencing and MALDI-TOF assay (both three undetected cases), and 95.1% for Luminex-Carba (4 undetected cases). The most commonly detected carbapenemases were NDM (n = 54) and OXA-48 (n = 26), followed by KPC-2, VIM-5, and OXA-72 (one case of each). Our results showed that different types of carbapenemases can be detected in the countries involved in the project. The sensitivity of our methods for carbapenemase detection (including screening as a first step and further confirmation tests) was >95%, but we would recommend using different methods to increase the sensitivity of detection and make it more precise.

Subject of research is theoretical and methodological approaches to the revealing the impact of logistics integration on the formation of system and network businesses. The purpose of the article is to assess the impact of logistics integration on the formation of system and network businesses. To achieve the object, the following tasks were set: firstly, to compare the logistics system (system company) with the logistics network (network company); secondly, to prove the importance of re-assessment of the participants of the integrated system, based on their unique competences; thirdly, to reveal the relationship between integration processes and forms of existence of enterprises. The study used general scientific and special methods: abstraction was applied in determining the nature of the categories of «network logistics system» and «integrated logistics system»; structural and genetic analysis was used to identify and improve the re-assessment cycle for the participants of the integrated logistics system; through comparison, the differences between the system and network companies were determined. Logistics integration provides strategic cooperation and coordination between all participants in the process of formation, production, sales and customer service throughout the product life cycle. The key properties that distinguish the logistics system (system company) from the logistics network (network company) are the organizational structure, allocation of responsibilities, legal independence (autonomy), the interaction between the subjects, goal orientation and methods of flow control. Proceeding from these properties, the author has proved that the logistics network has a horizontal structure based on specialization and development of key competencies. Therefore, the re-assessment cycle for the participants of the logistics system should be based on their unique core competencies. Hence, the network logistics system (integrated logistics system) is a long-term equal partnership of legally independent companies by combining their core competencies with the purpose of transferring material and related flows within the frame of logistics activities. The results of the investigation may be used by researchers and practical logisticians in the formation of system and network companies, in reassessment of the membership of the logistics system and choosing a form of integration. The prospect of further research is defining performance efficiency indices for the network logistics system.
