Introduction: In Spain, the current economic crisis has led to an unfortunate phenomenon little known until now: the eviction process. The aim was to evaluate unhealthy habits such as consumption of tobacco and alcohol in a group of Granada as at risk of losing their residence. Methods: Participated 205 adult undergoing an eviction process from their homes (122 women and 83 men) who were given the items of health-related habits of the Andalusian Health Survey 2011. All participants were linked to the Platform Affected by Mortgage, Stop Desahucios of Granada. Results: Consumption of tobacco: observe higher percentage of daily smokers among men (54.22 %), people who live as a couple and workers. People who have entered the judicial process smoke more cigarettes per day (t = 1944, p = .055) and perceived an increase in the consumption of tobacco from the process of eviction. (χ² = 8.494, p = .037). Consumption of alcohol: find higher percentage in men (χ² = 10.005, p = .019) and in people who do not live with a partner (χ² = 8.553, p = .036); men perceive a greater increase in alcohol consumption due to the eviction process (χ² = 20.375, p = .000). Conclusions: The eviction process negatively affects healthrelated habits and should therefore be prioritized in Public Health policies as a population at risk. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) are key technologies to conduct preventive inspection and maintenance tasks in offshore renewable energy plants. Making such vehicles autonomous would lead to benefits such as improved availability, cost reduction and carbon emission minimization. However, some technological aspects, including the powering of these devices, remain with a long way to go. In this context, underwater wireless power transfer (UWPT) solutions have potential to overcome UUV powering drawbacks. Considering the relevance of this topic for offshore renewable plants, this work aims to provide a comprehensive summary of the state of the art regarding UPWT technologies. A technology intelligence study is conducted by means of a bibliographical survey. Regarding underwater wireless power transfer, the main methods are reviewed, and it is concluded that inductive wireless power transfer (IWPT) technologies have the most potential. These inductive systems are described, and their challenges in underwater environments are presented. A review of the underwater IWPT experiments and applications is conducted, and innovative solutions are listed. Achieving efficient and reliable UWPT technologies is not trivial, but significant progress is identified. Generally, the latest solutions exhibit efficiencies between 88% and 93% in laboratory settings, with power ratings reaching up to 1–3 kW. Based on the assessment, a power transfer within the range of 1 kW appears to be feasible and may be sufficient to operate small UUVs. However, work-class UUVs require at least a tenfold power increase. Thus, although UPWT has advanced significantly, further research is required to industrially establish these technologies. There is empirical evidence showing the relationship between personality disorders, violence crime and substance abuse problem. This study aims to examine the prevalence of personality disorders in prison populations (drug abusers and abusers), using as a control group a population imprisoned without these types of crimes. The participants were 45 men within the prison in Albolote, Granada (15 drug abusers, 15 abusers and 15 control) and were selected following the Severity Addiction Scale (EUROPASI; Bobes et al., 1996) and the Conflict Tactics Scale (CTS2; Strauss et al., 1996). The Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory was used to assess personality disorders. We found that drug abusers had higher scores than abusers and controls in histrionic, antisocial, borderline and aggressive-sadistic, and abusers had higher scores than drug abusers and controls in dependent personality disorder. Our results highlight the need to take into account the existence of personality disorders in clinical population in order to design prevention and intervention strategies for drug abuse and domestic violence. Abstract: Maternal behavior (MB) in rats is expressed under neural control of vomeronasal structures. Some of these regions exert an inhibitory role, such as the accessory olfactory bulb (AOB), while others exert an excitatory role, such as the medial preoptic area (MPOA). In previous studies, using 2-DG as a marker for neuron activity at neuron terminal level, we reported that AOB showed a decrease and MPOA an increase when compared with control rats (non-exposed to pups) during the display of MB. In the present study we used a different indicator of neuronal metabolic activity – cytochrome oxidase (COx) – to assess the activity of the same brain regions in relation to induced MB. The induced-MB females showed increased COx expression in the MPOA and reduced COx activity in the AOB in comparison with the control, non-MB group, consistent with our previous findings using 2-DG. Present results provide further evidence of a facilitatory role of MPOA and an inhibitory role of AOB in MB induction. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Alloreactivity triggered by interaction between killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptors ( KIRs) and natural killer ( NK) cells plays a role in the graft-versus-tumor effect after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation ( SCT). Our aim in this study was to evaluate this role in the setting of T-cell-repleted haploidentical SCT with postinfusion high-dose cyclophosphamide ( PT-Cy). We included 33 patients. Among patient-donor pairs with at least 1 inhibitory KIR ( iKIR) gene mismatch, event-free survival ( EFS) and cumulative incidence of relapse 1 year after transplant were significantly better (85% vs. 37% [ P = 0.008] and 18% vs. 46% [ P = 0.041], respectively). A subanalysis in 12 patients with Hodgkin's lymphoma ( HL) showed an improvement in EFS 1 year after transplant in those patients with KIR ligand mismatch (100% vs. 25%, P = 0.012), although overall survival ( OS) was not affected (85% vs. 80%, P = 0.2). Eight of 12 patient-donors pairs presented iKIR mismatches. Of note, this outcome was better in the small subgroup, both for EFS (100% vs. 25%, P = 0.012) and for OS (100% vs. 37%, P = 0.004). Our data suggest that in the setting of T-cell-repleted haploidentical SCT with PT-Cy, iKIR mismatch is associated with improved survival, with particularly good results for both iKIR and KIR ligand mismatches in patients with HL. Allogeneic stem cell transplantation (allo- SCT) has become the treatment of choice in patients with intermediate-risk and high-risk acute myeloid leukemia ( AML). The quality of response to treatment, assessed in terms of detection of minimal residual disease ( MRD), has been consistently associated with prognosis and clinical outcome in patients with AML. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the prognostic impact of analyzing MRD in bone marrow using 4-color multiparametric flow cytometry ( MFC) in 29 patients with AML before and after allo- SCT. Eighteen patients who were shown to be MRD-negative [≤0.1% leukemia-associated immunophenotypes ( LAIPs)] by MFC at transplantation and underwent allo- SCT had lower rates of relapse (15% vs. 66%, P = 0.045), better overall 1-yr survival (83% vs. 52%, P = 0.021) and a lower cumulative incidence of relapse ( P = 0.032) than patients who were MRD-positive (>0.1%). All post-transplant MRD-positive patients underwent a therapeutic intervention after transplant (tapering of immunosuppression, donor lymphocyte infusion, or re-transplant) with the intention of preventing relapse. Disease was controlled and MRD disappeared in five of these patients. Disease recurred in the other seven patients. We can conclude that follow-up with MFC for the detection of MRD in AML before and after SCT is useful for predicting relapse. Abstract: The matrix converter (MC) presents a promising topology that will have to overcome certain barriers (protection systems, durability, the development of converters for real applications, etc.) in order to gain a foothold in the industry. In some applications, where continuous operation must be insured in the case of a system failure, improved reliability of the converter is of particular importance. In this sense, this article focuses on the study of a fault tolerant MC. The fault tolerance of a converter is characterized by its total or partial response in the case of a breakage of any of its components. Taking into consideration that virtually no work has been done on fault tolerant MCs, this paper describes the most important studies in this area. Moreover, a new method is proposed for detecting the breakage of MC semiconductors. Likewise, a new variation of SVM modulation with failure tolerance capacity is presented. This guarantees the continuous operation of the converter and the pseudo-optimum control of a PMSM. This paper also proposes a novel MC topology, which allows the flexible reconfiguration of this converter, when one or several of its semiconductors are damaged. In this way, the MC can continue operating at 100% of its performance without having to double its resources. In this way, it can be said that the solution described in this article represents a step forward towards the development of reliable matrix converters for real applications. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper presents a study of the fault tolerance capacity of a neutral-point-clamped converter. Different faults in power semiconductors are considered, and the available postfault states of the converter are shown. In regard of the operation limits, two possible solutions are presented. In these solutions, adding a reduced number of additional components, the behavior of the converter when a switch fails improves considerably. Furthermore, an analysis of the neutral-point voltage balancing conditions after a fault and reconfiguration of the system is also evaluated.
