The main aim of this study is to analyze the literature pertaining to value creation in the wine industry developed in the last two decades, identifying the main contributors such as leading institutions, authors, and countries, and uncovering the main subfields developed by researchers in this area. Bibliometric methods have been used to carry out this research, particularly the R package Bibliometrix®. The results unveil, besides the most relevant contributors, the main subtopics developed in the field of study. It is concluded that value creation is a key factor of success in the wine industry, playing academic research a leading role in revealing consumer trends, health benefits of wine, grape biodiversity, technological developments applicable to production processes, quality improvements of grapes and wines, sustainable practices, brand positioning and other sources of competitive advantage. Purpose: This research focuses on analyzing the impact of Green Intellectual Capital (GIC) on the Environmental Performance (EP) of Spanish wineries, as well as the mediating effect of Green Ambidexterity Innovation (GAI) on the main relationship posed (GIC–EP), and the moderating effect of Top Management Environmental Awareness (TMEA) on the GAI–EP link. In addition, age, size and size and membership in a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) to increase the accuracy of the cause–effect relationships examined. Design/methodology/approach: The study proposes a conceptual model based on previous studies, which is tested using structural equations (PLS-SEM) with data collected from 196 Spanish wineries between September 2022 and January 2023. Findings: The results of the research reveal the existence of a positive and significant relationship between the development of GIC and EP of Spanish wineries, as well as the partial mediation of GAI in this link and the positive moderation of TMEA in the GAI–EP relationship. Originality/value: The originality of the study is explained by several factors. First, the study pioneered the exploration of TMEA as a moderator of the relationship between GAI and EP, allowing such analysis to improve understanding of the dynamic interaction between innovation and environmental management. Second, to the best of the authors' knowledge, there are no preceding studies that have previously proposed the theoretical model presented in this research, thus providing new scientific knowledge on the intellectual capital field. Third, the contextualization of the study in the wine sector, traditionally perceived as little knowledge-intensive, contributes significantly to the existing body of scientific knowledge on the environmental management of wineries, given that it allows the identification of the catalysing variables of EP in the Spanish wine context. The purpose of this research is to deepen the study of the influence of cognitive proximity has on the innovative performance of firms, as well as the mediating effect of potential and realized absorptive capacity in this relationship. For this purpose, an empirical analysis has been carried out. The primary data have been analyzed by means of PLS-SEM technique. The results show that the cognitive proximity of firms has both a direct and an indirect impact on their innovative performance, through their potential and realized absorptive capacity. We conclude that cognitive proximity matters for the innovation performance of firms, as it facilitates the understanding and establishment of positive reciprocity agreements between the companies, especially in terms of knowledge. Nevertheless, firms must develop a great capability to absorb new knowledge to exploit the advantages derived from its cognitive proximity to its stakeholders and leverage all the knowledge within their reach. Academic contributions regarding the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and renewable energy have been steadily increasing, given their essential relevance to economic, societal, and environmental progress. This research aims to examine the structure of scientific knowledge on the connection between SDGs and renewable energy by utilizing bibliometric methods and analyzing 3132 articles published between 1992 and 2022. Results indicate a sharp rise in the production rate since 2015, Environmental Sciences as the most prevalent area of study, and the leading role of publishers Elsevier, MDPI, and Springer in the publication of papers related to the subject. Consequently, this research may prove useful for both novice and veteran researchers who wish to further their understanding of the academic production regarding the SDGs and renewable energy. To achieve the research objective pursued, the study proposes a conceptual model based on previous studies, which is tested using structural equations (PLS-SEM). The research results reveal the existence of a positive and significant relationship between the development of GAI and SP of Spanish wineries, as well as the partial mediation of GAI in the GHC-SP and GSCM-SP linkages. The originality of the study derives from its pioneering nature, as the research enters unexplored terrain by investigating the role of GHC and GSCM as antecedent variables of GAI and SP, there being no previous research, to the authors' knowledge, that has ventured in this direction. In contemporary times, the integration of sustainable practices in supply chain operations constitutes a crucial factor that confers competitive advantages to enterprises. In this vein, circular supply chain strategies may lead to a reduction of waste and pollution by ensuring that resources are used efficiently and that products are designed to be reused, recycled, or repurposed. In this vein, customers are becoming more environmentally conscious and are increasingly seeking products and services that are produced sustainably, and demand transparency and accountability from the companies they purchase from. By implementing circular supply chain practices, companies can demonstrate their commitment to sustainability and build a positive reputation with customers. The main purpose of this research is to analyze the major contributions made in the field of circular supply chain, both from a general approach and from a customers' perspective (authors, affiliations, and countries), as well as the main areas analyzed by papers in both fields, and their intellectual structure. Data were extracted from the Web of Science database and analyzed using bibliometric techniques, particularly Bibliometrix® software in its version 4.2.1. The results show that these fields have increased in importance over time, especially in the last seven years, and that research trends are directed towards the implementation of new technologies that favor the circularity of the supply chain. It is concluded that the implementation of circular economy practices in the supply chain is vital for reducing waste and pollution by maximizing the use of resources and materials, requiring this approach the participation of all stakeholders, especially customers. The wine sector occupies a prominent place in the Spanish agrifood industry, for both the quality and the variety of its production. Although the protection of geographical designations is at the heart of Spain and European Union wine quality policy, much empirical investigation is still needed to assess the role played by business agglomerations in creating value for the territory through these quality protection systems. The aim of the paper is to identify Spanish wine clusters and characterize them from geographical, historical and economic perspectives. A deep analysis of the six wine clusters identified is carried out given the importance of these competitive environments in terms of degree of productive specialization, employment and Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) at the national level. The results show that while the area of cultivated vineyards, the number of winegrowers and wineries in the six analysed cases have decreased over the last two decades, production, sales volume and especially their economic value have increased considerably. This could explain the orientation towards a differentiation strategy, in recent years, based on the reputation of the collective brand, which is translated into the marketed product. The main aim of this paper is to analyze the effect of industrial agglomeration on the degree of interorganizational cooperation and the innovative performance of firms of the electricity supply sector in Spain. For this purpose, the agglomeration coefficient in each of the 50 provinces of Spain is calculated, based on secondary data from SABI database. Subsequently, primary data are obtained from a sample of 197 companies through a structured questionnaire. In this case, the PLS-SEM technique is used. The results show that there is a positive and significant relationship between the variables analyzed. It is concluded that industrial agglomeration and cooperation are relevant external factors that boost the innovative performance of firms and that business associations foster interorganizational cooperation. Currently, the wine industry has gained great relevance worldwide. At the same time, the sustainability of the business activity has positioned itself as one of the main challenges to be achieved in the coming years. Due to the great impact that agricultural processes can have on the environment, vine and wine production is particularly susceptible to the application of new technologies and processes that improve its sustainability in the medium and long term, while allowing the improvement of product quality. The main objective of this paper is to analyze the academic literature in the field of wine industry sustainability, to determine the main contributions carried out, as well as the most prominent authors, universities, and countries in this field of study. The methodology used is bibliometric analysis, specifically the Bibliometrix® R package, in its version 4.1.1. The results reveal that research in the field of sustainability in the wine industry has increased considerably in the last three years by several leading researchers, mainly from universities located in wine-producing regions. It is concluded that research shows a trend towards collaboration among stakeholders, especially in terms of innovation, which is postulated as the main tool to improve the sustainability of the sector in the coming years.
