The article discusses the need for patient access to resources to maximize their use of mental health telemedicine as of December 2022. Topics covered include a survey which showed that patients who used audio-only telehealth (9%) had higher levels of depression and a lower socioeconomic status compared to those who used video telehealth (47%), and that technical difficulties was the leading barrier. Also noted is the need to provide disadvantaged populations with video technology access.
