Abstract

We present 50-fs, single-shot measurements of the x-ray thermal diffuse scattering (TDS) from copper foils that have been shocked via nanosecond laser-ablation up to pressures above 135~GPa. We hence deduce the x-ray Debye-Waller (DW) factor, providing a temperature measurement. The targets were laser-shocked with the DiPOLE 100-X laser at the High Energy Density (HED) endstation of the European X-ray Free-Electron Laser (EuXFEL). Single x-ray pulses, with a photon energy of 18 keV, were scattered from the samples and recorded on Varex detectors. Despite the targets being highly textured (as evinced by large variations in the elastic scattering), and with such texture changing upon compression, the absolute intensity of the azimuthally averaged inelastic TDS between the Bragg peaks is largely insensitive to these changes, and, allowing for both Compton scattering and the low-level scattering from a sacrificial ablator layer, provides a reliable measurement of $T/\Theta_D^2$, where $\Theta_D$ is the Debye temperature. We compare our results with the predictions of the SESAME 3336 and LEOS 290 equations of state for copper, and find good agreement within experimental errors. Abstract

Thin-film compression (TFC) and the focusability of high-power laser pulses after self-phase modulation in thin films at transport intensities (∼1 TW∕cm 2 ) for petawatt laser systems is demonstrated. High-energy (∼296 mJ) laser pulses are compressed from ∼55 fs to ∼31 fs. Additionally, the focusability of high-power (∼45–55 TW) flat-top laser pulses after spectral broadening in thin films is found to be largely maintained, showing only modest decreases in the energy contained in the central part of the focal spot. In light of these findings, TFC offers a method for moving toward single-cycle pulse durations at significantly higher energies than those found at present, and if beam instabilities can be mitigated, maybe even higher intensities.

Abstract

X-ray free electron laser (XFEL) sources coupled to high-power laser systems offer an avenue to study the structural dynamics of materials at extreme pressures and temperatures. The recent commissioning of the DiPOLE 100-X laser on the high energy density (HED) instrument at the European XFEL represents the state-of-the-art in combining x-ray diffraction with laser compression, allowing for compressed materials to be probed in unprecedented detail. Here, we report quantitative structural measurements of molten Sn compressed to 85(5) GPa and ∼ 3500 K. The capabilities of the HED instrument enable liquid density measurements with an uncertainty of ∼ 1 % at conditions which are extremely challenging to reach via static compression methods. We discuss best practices for conducting liquid diffraction dynamic compression experiments and the necessary intensity corrections which allow for accurate quantitative analysis. We also provide a polyimide ablation pressure vs input laser energy for the DiPOLE 100-X drive laser which will serve future users of the HED instrument.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara orientasi CSR dan karakteristik individu dengan Ketertarikan Perusahaan. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah mahasiswa di Kudus. Pemilihan mahasiswa dari fakultas ekonomi didasarkan pada pendapat sen & Bhattacharya (2001) bahwa Perusahaan pada umumnya menariumencari tenaga kerja yang memiliki keterampilan di bidang bisinis. Cara menentukan responden dengan accidental sampling dengan 100 kuesioner diedarkan. Jumlah sampel ini telah memenuhi persyaratan untuk dapat menggunakan alat analisis SPSS. Pelaksanaan orientasi Perusahaan dan karakteristik individu terhadap Perusahan baik secara parsial maupun simultan mampu membentuk ketertarikan Perusahaan, yaitu dalam membangun reputasi dan norma/nilai Perusahaan yang sesuai dengan pandangan masyarakat.

Abstract

Based on topography, Batu city can be categorized as a lightning-prone area. Located at 700-1700 m above sea level with an average temperature of 19􀁱C as well as its location on the slopes of mountains, make this area prone to lightning strikes. Lightning strikes, especially lightning type CG (cloud-to-ground) cause serious impact on objects on the surface of the earth. Therefore, spatial information about the distribution of lightning strike is required to reduce the losses caused by lightning strikes. This research discusses the distribution of lightning strikes in Batu city during 2017 and is able to be used to classify the area based on lightning vulnerability. The lightning data used was obtained from the lightning detector BOLTEK record at Karangkates Geophysical Station during 2017. The analysis of lightning strike distribution was correlated with rainfall data in the area and was also grouped into different season periods including rainy, dry, and transition. kriging interpolation method was used for the spatial analysis to determine a contour map of lightning strikes for each square kilometer. Overall, the analysis showed that the highest frequency of lightning strikes in Batu city in 2017 was during the wet season; furthermore, it was correlated to the rainfall in the area. Abstract

This study aimed to improve the Civic Education learning quality through the application of the problem- based learning model at Grade VIII A of SMP Negeri 2 Manisrenggo in semester 1 of the 2014/2015 academic year. This was a classroom action research (CAR) study employing the design by Kemmis & MacTaggart, carried out in three cycles. The action implemented was the application of the problembased learning model in the Civic Education learning. The learning steps included identifying problems, looking for relevant information sources, learning autonomously, investigating and interpreting the collected data, and selecting several alternative problem solutions by taking into account of opinions or information from the collaborator The data were collected through observations, tests, interviews, and field notes. The data were qualitatively analyzed using the technique developed by Miles and Huberman. The results of the study showed that the application of the problem-based learning model was capable to improve the Civic Education learning quality in the aspects of the learning processes and outcomes which were comprehensive (comprising cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects).

Abstract

This research aims to improve the learning activity and social studies learning result at year IX C of SMPN 2 Jetis Bantul after appliying Simulation Methods with reinforcement. This research was a classrrom action research study using Kemmis & Taggart design. The subjects in this research were year IX C students SMPN 2 Jetis Bantul in the academic year of 2013/2014. Treatment that applied is simulation methods with reinforcement to improve the activity and social studies learning result. The data were collected through observation and tests. Observation technique was used to know activity learning result student in the social studies lerning and tests was used to show learning result. This research was done in two cycles. Cycle I used simulation methods with verbal reinforcement and Cycle II used simulation methods with non verbal reinforcement. The research show that the use of simulation methods with reinforcement improve social studies activity learning 14.28% in Cycle I to 87.49% in Cycle II, social studies learning result improve from classroom average 81.07 in Cycle I to 81.25 in Cycle II. The application of the simulation model through reinforcement was improve the social studies learning result the students of IXC SMPN 2 Jetis Bantul.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) mengembangkan multimedia interaktif dengan pendekatan saintifik untuk pelajaran PKn SMP, (2) menganalisis kelayakan multimedia interaktif yang dikembangkan, dan (3) menganalisis efektifitasnya untuk pembelajaran PKn. Jenis peneltian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D), yang dilakukan melalui empat tahap, yaitu analisis kebutuhan, perencanaan pengembangan media, produksi/pengembangan media, dan validasi media. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) multimedia interaktif dengan pendekatan saintifik pada pelajaran PKn SMP telah berhasil dikembangkan; (2) kualitas media berdasarkan validasi ahli media, dengan rata-rata 4,16 (baik), kualitas aspek materi pembelajaran berdasarkan validasi ahli materi dengan rata-rata 3,95 (baik), berdasarkan penilaian siswa terhadap aspek media, aspek materi dan aspek pembelajaran dengan rata-rata skor 4,13 (baik). Dengan demikian media yang dikembangkan layak untuk digunakan; (3) hasil belajar kognitif siswa meningkat dari rata-rata 69,6 menjadi 93,1 (94,4%) (sangat baik). Hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukan bahwa produk multimedia interaktif yang dikembangkan layak dan efektif digunakan untuk pembelajaran PKn dengan pendekatan saintifik di SMP.

Abstract

This Study aims to improve (1) teamwork skill, and (2) Social studies learning achievement. The Subject is 20 students of class VIII F of Junior High School I Piyungan, Bantul at the first semester in the academic year of 2013/2014. The data were collected through observation, tests, and fied notes. The data were analyzed using the quantitatif descriptive technique. The results of the study are as. (1) There was an improvement in the students' teamwork skill after the apllication of the Jigsaw method by picture and pictured article media. In cycle I, the students' teamwork skill wich good criteria is 65% and increases into 90% in cycle II. (2) There was an improvement social studies learning achievement. In cycle I, through picture media and grouping based on academic achievement, the average learning achievement was 73.75 and the learning achievement mastery was 50%. In cycle II,through pictured article media,grouping based on academic achievement and gender variety, the average learning achievement was 84.75 and the learning achievement mastery was 95%.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the social skills of students in social studies learning through outdoor activity as a learning method. This was a classrooms action research study involving grade VIIA students of SMP Negeri 1 Kaligondang Purbalingga regency. This study focused on improving the social skill. The data of improvement of social skills were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, which is then analyzed for comparison: (1) the result of observations before and after the actions, and (2) the result of observation of social skills of each cycle supported by responses from different parties. Before the actions, the researchers conducted observations of social skills and the mean score was 2.79 (in the moderate category). Through the application of the outdoor activitiy in cycle I obtained mean score of 3.12 (in the moderate category). Through the application of the outdoor activity in cycle II obtained mean score of 3.69 (in the good category). Through the application of outdoor activity in cycle III, the student' social skill improved, with a mean score of 4.16 (in the good category). Based on the result of the observations of students' social skills on precycle, cycle I, cycle II, and cycle III, it can be concluded that the application of the learning method of outdoor activity in Social Studies can improve social skills in students. Thus the method of learning with outdoor activity feasible in learning social studies as one of the learning activities, in particular to improve the students' social skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan pembelajaran sejarah dengan menerapkan Value Clarification Technique (VCT) untuk meningkatkan nilai nasionalisme, demokrasi dan multikultural, dengan memperhatikan gaya belajar siswa Visual dan Auditori). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperiment. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis faktorial 2x2 dengan α= 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rerata hasil belajar afektif siswa dengan pembelajaran VCT lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang belajar dengan teknik konvensional (151,47>138,91; α 0,000). Kesimpulannya, teknik klarifikasi nilai (VCT) efektif untuk penanaman nilai nasionalisme, demokrasi, dan multikultural melalui pembelajaran sejarah, baik pada siswa yang bergaya belajar auditori maupun visual.

45. Pengaruh Penggunaan Strategi Peta Konsep terhadap Hasil Belajar IPS Peserta Didik di SMP

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi peta konsep terhadap hasil belajar IPS di SMP Negeri I Unter Iwes Sumbawa Tahun Ajaran 2012/2013. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan faktorial 2x2. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII.1 SMPN 1 Unter Iwes sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas VII.1 SMPN 2 Sumbawa sebagai kelompok kontrol. Data diperoleh dengan: (1) tes, untuk mengukur pemahaman peserta didik terhadap konsep IPS, dan (2) angket dengan skala likert, untuk menggolongkan peserta didik dengan minat IPS dan non IPS. Untuk validasi empiris, instrumen diujicobakan pada siswa kelas VIII-4 dan VIII-6 SMP Negeri 1 Unter Iwes Sumbawa dengan hasil 46 butir angket yang valid dari 75 butir, dan untuk soal tes hasil belajar, terdapat 30 butir yang valid dari 40 butir soal. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis variansi dua jalan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) strategi pembelajaran peta konseplebih efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS yang komprehensif dari pada strategi ceramah (dengan rataan 76,47 > 68,69; Fo= 8,84; a 0,05); (2) hasil belajar peserta didik dengan minat IPS lebih tinggi dibandingkan hasil belajar peserta didik minat non IPS (dengan rataan 73,59 > 72,10; Fo = 7,09; a 0,05); dan (3) terdapat interaksi pengaruh antara strategi pembelajaran dan minat terhadap hasil belajar dengan (Fo = 12,98; pada a 0,05). Dengan demikian strategi peta konsep lebih efektif daripada strategi ceramah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS. Oleh karena itu peta konsep dapat digunakan sebagai pembelajaran IPS untuk mencapai hasil belajar, terutama pada siswa yang minat IPS.
