Straipsnyje analizuojamas LRT LITUANICA kanale pateikiamas istorijų pasakojimas apie lietuviškas šaknis turinčius (e)migrantus nuo Pirmojo pasaulinio karo iki šiandienos. Teoriniame tyrime pasitelkiama tapatybės samprata, migracijos fonas, veikiamas „stūmimo“ ir „traukos“ dėsnių, medijos samprata, žiniasklaidos rėminimo specifika bei istorijų pasakojimo apibrėžtis. Analitiniame tyrime naudojami turinio analizės (publikacijų teksto ir kanalo kaip įrankio), dokumentų analizės metodai siekiant identifikuoti lietuvio paveikslą, įrėminamą 2020 metais LRT LITUANICA naujienų portalo skiltyje „Istorijos“. LRT LITUANICA nuo 2020 metų keičia technologinį veikimo principą, pastaruosius keletą metų intensyvina dialogo mezgimą su pasaulio lietuviais – ši nuostata įtraukta į LRT kanalo strategiją atliepiant valstybės pažangos strategines užsibrėžtis ir įgyvendinimą, todėl aktualu išsiaiškinti, kokį turinį kanalas formuoja vykstant pokyčiams. Tyrimu nustatyta pasaulio lietuvio tautinio identiteto suvokimo ir raiškos formos, parengtos asmeniniais išgyvenimais ir šeimos istorijomis, aprėpiančiomis XX–XXI amžius.

COVID-19 pandemic , *DISINFORMATION , *SOCIAL media , *MISINFORMATION , *JUDGMENT sampling - Abstract
Social media over the years has been shown to be an important source for information in times of crisis and confusion. Citizens who were restricted to their homes due to pandemic-mitigating lockdowns have desired more than ever to be informed about the pandemic, have been exposed to a host of misinformation, which has also affected their trust in the media, as well as the way they have been informed about COVID-19 in the days following. This research aims to analyze how citizens have used the media during COVID-19 and whether they were capable to accurately distinguish misinformation or disinformation from accurate information. To respond to the research question and to test hypotheses a survey based on purposive sampling method was used with citizens that included 850 respondents from the seven main regions of Kosovo. Results of this study indicate that the information-seeking habits have changed within a short period of time and Kosovo society can easily be affected by disinformation. The data demonstrated that citizens failed to distinguish between false and true news. The results also highlight that education and economic situation were significant indicators, with less educated people, and people with the weakest economic well-being are more likely to believe false information. PERIODICAL publishing , *CULTURAL values , *SOCIAL change , *BLOGS , *WEBSITES - Abstract
Cultural periodicals, as a specific part of the field of culture and publishing, can be studied in several directions: 1) by analysing the conceptual aspect of cultural periodicals, i.e., realisation of their cultural functions; 2) by taking into account the general models of publishing periodicals; 3) by analysing other aspects of publishing that are specific to cultural periodicals only, for example, the specific features of funding. This article analyses how the cultural functions of national periodicals were realised in the context of the virtualisation of cultural periodicals in the period under research (in 2000-2015). (In this article, the virtualisation of cultural publications is understood as the transfer of cultural periodicals (magazines, newspapers) into the virtual space or their creation in that space (blogs, portals, social networks)). Cultural periodicals as a part of the cultural field were relevant in the period under research: 1. It is relevant to transmit and preserve cultural information (in this case, the communicative link between the cultural message and the cultural space and the lasting value of cultural texts); 2. To form new addressees to receive the cultural message (each publication brings together its own audience and thus complements the overall cultural field, thus attracting new readers by disseminating cultural information); 3. To actualise the message being sent through more diverse channels (the importance of internationality), to expand the possibilities of accessibility and availability of cultural texts; changes in the media (social networks, portals, websites) have created a broader, more modern and more diverse cultural field of communication. Between the years 2000 and 2015, media change gradually turned into a necessity. First of all, it was undertaken as a way to reach more readers. Due to the specific content, cultural publications were moderate in their approach to the changes in form during the period under analysis: to maintain a high-quality printed version was a priority to them. On the other hand, cultural publications, although not always willingly, began to recognize the importance of the Internet and to consider it as a platform for disseminating cultural information. This aspect became an important turning point in the publishing of cultural periodicals. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Tačiau šiame virsme atsigręžiama ir gerokai ankstyvesnes medijų transformacijos prielaidas – dar XX a. suformuotos medijų efekto teorijas, kurių raiška išlieka aktuali ir šiais laikais, vertinant auditorijos diskursus, formuojant medijų dienotvarkę ir prognozuojant viešosios komunikacijos pokyčius., This article aims to define the contemporary media audience based on the features and qualities highlighted in the scientific literature. Becoming familiar with their changes and preconditions would allow media content creators and mass media to manage their schedules more effectively, anticipate the impact of their content on the audience and influence their choices, attitudes, and values. The subject of this article is the discourse of media audiences shaped by digitalisation in scientific literature. By reviewing the media audience characteristics highlighted in scientific literature and distinguishing the conditions that determine them, the following objectives were set: to review the media audience terms found in scientific literature, to analyse the preconditions of creating the media audience terms found in scientific literature, and to assess the challenges of changing audiences faced by the media. An integral literature review, based on the provisions of the deductive methodology, as well as structuring and generalisation were used to achieve the goal and accomplish the objectives. The scientific literature insights on media, communication, and public information issues of the last two decades of rapid digitisation are analysed on the basis of communication effect theories, by evaluating their expression in the Lithuanian media.

- Abstract
The essay explicates the polycentric awareness as a ground of creative communication with anyone, anytime, to the extent that all communication is a sense making process about something. This makes accessible “Others” from other times, present in texts which open communication through linguistic and cultural media. We read Plato and argue with him about justice, or debate the issue of beginning of the universe with astronomers. These two levels, polycentric and dialogical, is supplemented by a concrete analyses of body as an active and interactive dimension with many contemporary technical media, from film, television, Internet, and smart phones.

Stories and storytelling are an integral part of culture and human existence. With stories people learn a way of life and can find escape and consolation through the trials of life. Fantasy stories offer that in an even bigger way. As culture turns digital and different media overtake many of our experiences, stories move to different media as well. Transmedia storytelling defines that movement and informs about a bigger phenomenon. Yet, the power of stories and their lessons are still needed, so the question arises: if the form of the story changes, do morals and lessons of those stories remain? The problem addressed in this work is whether it is possible to learn the values, morals and other teachings of original stories from their transmedia forms. So, the aim of this study is to determine the media capacity to transfer the messages and values of the original media in transmedia storytelling. The objectives to achieve the aim are as follows: 1) To review the literature and theoretical approaches on storytelling with the focus on the educational aspects of stories, especially fantasy, on transmedia storytelling and its characteristics, and on the role of the medium regarding storytelling; 2) To present a philosophical perspective on ethics, virtues, morality, and values, and their importance, and to review how they are reflected in Harry Potter series; 3) To compare the representations of ethics, virtues, morality, and values in different media; 4) To determine the capacity of different media to transfer the original educational messages. A content analysis of three different media channels, original novel, a film adaptation, and a mobile game, containing Harry Potter material with the focus on the representations of ethics, virtues, morality, values, and other lessons is employed. The results reveal that the original medium – a novel contains a variety of values, morals and lessons on a complex and deep level. As the story moves to different media and further from the original, the value representations lose their complexity and decrease in numbers but remain nevertheless, thus proving that transmedia storytelling has the capacity to convey values of Harry Potter but depends on the possibilities of the medium. The work consists of summary, introduction, theoretical and research parts, and conclusions., Istorijos ir jų pasakojamas yra neatsiejama kultūros ir žmogaus egzistavimo dalis.

THEOLOGY ,DOCTRINAL theology ,RELIGIOUS doctrines ,CHRISTIANITY - Abstract
The article seeks to discuss the differences of the conception of social communication in the documents of Catholic Church Inter Mirifica, Communio et Progressio and Aetatis Novae and to disclose the focal elements of the conception of social communication on the basis of these documents. The authors conclude that the document Inter Mirifica does not have the doctrinal part and deals only with means of social communication. The longest and most detailed document on social communication -- the pastoral instruction Communio et Progressio -- takes a global approach insisting that the primary aim of social communication is the unity of all humankind. The document grounds the theological conception on social communications in the doctrines of Trinity, Creation and Incarnation. Therefore, from those doctrines the authors of the article derive major doctrinal elements of the conception of social communication. Compared to the two previous documents the pastoral instruction Aetatis Novae is narrower in scope and says that social communication is essentially a communication of the Good News of Jesus Christ. In some matters Aetatis Novae goes further than the previous documents: insisting on urgency of pastoral planning for Catholic social communication in each diocese or region and affirming that mass media by no means detract from the importance of alternative media. The analysed documents as a whole reveal the conception of social communication, but in separate documents it is provided emphasizing different aspects; therefore, it does not precisely identify the meaning of social communication, its importance in the Church's mission and needs further explicit development of the theology of social communication. Summarising conclusion: the issue needs more attention of both -- the official Catholic Church ant the local Catholic Church community to show the doctrinal part of the communication theology. MEDIA literacy , *EFFECTIVE teaching , *INFORMATION technology , *SECONDARY education - Abstract
This article analyzes the influence of information technologies on education. Different viewpoints on information literacy education, which is often assimilated to media literacy education, are presented in the paper. The article investigates both advantages of media literacy, which involve its positive influence on education, and disadvantages, which encompass dishonest ideological purposes of media literacy that are hidden behind the notion of efficient teaching. This work defends the idea that media literacy education is inevitable in modern schooling and that it is step by step replacing traditional ways of learning. Several media education paradigms are discussed: protectionist, media arts education, media literacy education and critical media literacy education. Some of them teach how to utilize modern technologies and develop creativity, whereas others educate how to recognize ideologies and be publicly engaged. The paper evaluates media literacy in Lithuania by exploring the context of media education, i.e. by analyzing Wiki culture, didactic approach of media literacy, relationships among participants of learning process, and influence of information technologies on the development of educational techniques. Prominent questions about Lithuanian readiness for changes in schooling methods are asked. It is argued if the country has a clear and coherent media literacy education philosophy. Answers are found by investigating information literacy programs and media literacy projects in Lithuanian secondary schools. The article arrives to a conclusion that in Lithuania media literacy education is only at the early stage of development, but its progress is quite rapid and omits several stages which were underwent in Western countries. Nevertheless, the work determines that Lithuania lacks new and brave mindset which should be spread together with critical pedagogy and critical media literacy (i.e. transforming) education.
