Because women in Indonesian society gain more experience in the family, one of which is education instilled through family gender culture, women's career aspirations are believed to have their own characteristics. In today's society, the current condition of female students' career expectations is apprehensive. Most of the female students do not have any professional characteristics, such as career aspirations. This research involving 109 female students from various cultural contexts will divide their findings into two categories: patriarchal family education and matriarchal family education. The main objective of this research is to investigate the career expectations of female students in relation to patriarchal and matriarchal family education, and to compare the two household categories. As a result, the majority of female students from societies that place a patriarchal emphasis on gender have expectations of career self-efficacy, whereas those from societies that place a matriarchal emphasis on gender have expectations of outcomes. Parametric analysis of variance (ANOVA) test was used for comparative analysis. The test results show F = 75.011 for career expectations on self-efficacy and F = 145.467 for outcome expectation (OE). 0.000 is a significant value for both variations.

Mathematical beliefs and metacognitive knowledge play significant roles in solving mathematical problems; thus, this study aims to investigate the influence of middle school students' beliefs on their metacognitive knowledge when solving geometry problems. This study utilizes both quantitative and qualitative research methods. A linear regression test was used to determine the effect of middle school students' beliefs on their metacognitive knowledge. The results of the quantitative research analysis were followed up with a qualitative research approach to describe the metacognitive knowledge of students who have high and low confidence in solving geometric problems. This research involved 352 middle school students in the Tarakan area. Based on the results of linear regression, it is known that the beliefs of middle school students have a positive effect on their metacognitive knowledge when solving geometric problems. In addition, it was found that students with different beliefs could solve a given geometry problem, but the approach to solving it varied among subjects. Middle school students have diverse beliefs, but these variations do not affect their capacity to apply their metacognitive knowledge at every stage of solving mathematical problems.

The objective of this research was to assess the efficacy of project-based learning in enhancing the analysis of student worksheets in the domains of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) with the integration of the ecoprint technique, focusing on its influence on student motivation and creativity. This investigation was conducted as a quasi-experiment involving a sample size of 150 students selected through cluster sampling. Data collection was executed using standardized tests, with instrument validity ascertained through the Aiken index and instrument reliability determined via Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Data analysis was performed using multivariate analysis (MANOVA) and descriptive quantitative methods. The study's findings reveal a significant disparity in the mean scores of both learning motivation and student creativity. In conclusion, the implementation of project-based learning coupled with STEAM-based student worksheet analysis utilizing the ecoprint technique yields a substantial enhancement in learning motivation and student creativity. These findings underscore the success of employing STEAM-based worksheets in conjunction with the ecoprint method to foster students' motivation and creativity, as ecoprint inherently encompasses all STEAM components within the manufacturing process.

Abstraction is essential to learning mathematics because the mathematical concepts obtained through abstraction will be more meaningful than directly receiving these concepts. This study aims to describe the pre-service teachers' abstraction in constructing relationships among quadrilaterals. This research method was explorative qualitative research with a purposive sampling technique. The subject of this research was a pre-service mathematics teacher who had taken a geometry course. The data analysis techniques used in this study were data condensation, data display, drawing and verifying conclusions. The research results showed that the participant used epistemic actions in an abstraction, such as recognising each quadrilateral type, building-with their properties, constructing relationships among them, and consolidating the abstract results made. Thus, the abstraction in constructing relationships among quadrilaterals can be observed from the epistemic actions: recognising, building-with, constructing, and consolidation, known as RBC+C.

Many educators highly recommend integrating science learning with the themes of local wisdom. Orientation to indigenous knowledge and Western science is believed to facilitate students in connecting science learning with the actual condition of their surroundings. The applied curriculum yet widely provided an opportunity for such local integration in science learning. This study aim to investigates the indigenous science and values of Betawi tribe (Indonesia) traditional martial art "silat beksi" to identify ccontent's and valuable context for science learning in biology education on the topic of movements systems. This study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach of ethnoscience studies. Data analysis was carried out by qualitatively interpreting the results of interviews and direct observations (data reduction/categorisation, data appearance, drawing conclusions). The results showed twelve reconstructed moves of "silat beksi" based on the bones, joints, muscles and the type of movement. It shows a scientifically rich cultural context in the local wisdom of Betawi people. This research contributes to integrating aspects of local wisdom that are relevant to science learning. It also emphasizes the importance of studying and identifying local wisdom aspects in science learning before being integrated into the curriculum

The study aims to investigate the English presentation self-efficacy of ESP undergraduate students through a longitudinal-experimental research design. Rooted in Bandura's social cognitive theory, it addresses two research problems: how Indonesian ESP undergraduate students' English presentation self-efficacy developed when they were exposed to mastery experience in the form of presentation tasks, and how individual and group presentation tasks affected the English presentation self-efficacy development. Three groups of ESP undergraduate students (n = 107) taking ESP English for Management were purposively selected as the participants for the study. Each group was exposed to one of the three forms of interventions: individual presentation tasks, homogeneous-group presentation tasks, and heterogeneous-group presentation tasks. A Likert-type presentation self-efficacy questionnaire validated by exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was utilized to collect the data in Weeks 3, 8, 12, and 16 of the semester. The study found that the Indonesian ESP undergraduate students' English presentation self-efficacy developed significantly as they completed the presentation tasks. The homogeneous-group presentation task outperformed both the heterogeneous-group and individual presentation tasks in enhancing English presentation self-efficacy. Implications for the teaching practices, study limitations, and future research recommendations are presented.

The study aims to investigate the effectiveness of MALL application using in the classroom. One of Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL) application used is Quizlet. The study employs a Classroom Action Research approach to assess the impact of Quizlet on third semester of Business Management students' vocabulary mastery. The data collection techniques in this research are observation and test. The result of this research show that MALL/Quizlet contribute to a substantial improvement in vocabulary test scores and leading students to enhance their vocabulary proficiency. The use of technology-based tools like Quizlet not only facilitated self learning but also improved pronunciation and contextual usage of words. The accessibility of devices like stability of internet connections, students self motivation, and effective supervision emerged as critical element impacting the efficiency of Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL), particularly the utilization of Quizlet for enhancing vocabulary mastery.

This study is based on the bibliometrics analysis of research publications that focus on highlighting the argumentation on mathematics education. The main objective of this study is to analyze the distribution of research results, the main journals for publication, and the most productive authors, the pattern of authorship and the pattern of citation. Data was collected from Scopus database and was analyzed using VOSviewer software. A total of 173 articles published from 1995 to December 2021 were retrieved and perused. Graphs, tables, charts, and maps have been used to analyze and present collected data. The analysis results show that argumentation in mathematics education has been studied frequently with the concepts of proof, reasoning, teacher education, and geometry. Journal of Mathematical Behavior and Educational Studies in Mathematics have been the top journals, and the University of Rutgers has been the most influential institution, and the United States has had a significant prevalence in this field. The results of this study provide insights for researchers interested in mathematics education in this field, suggesting that they can explore various alternatives to the major research trends and the influential articles mentioned. Based on the results, recommendations for future studies are provided.

The objective of this study was to evaluate and characterize the argumentation patterns used by seventh-grade students in the context of algebraic addition and subtraction problems. A qualitative case study was conducted using the Claim-Evidence-Reasoning (CER) model (McNeill & Krajcik, 2008) and argument quality framework. To describe the arguments put forth by the participants, a sample of ten students with high mathematics proficiency and ten students with low mathematics proficiency were selected from the target population of junior high schools in a large region of West Java, Indonesia. Data collection was carried out using written argumentation frame for algebraic operations (AFAO). The results revealed that, although none of the students employed the CH+EH+RH pattern (which represents the highest quality of arguments), students with high mathematics proficiency levels exhibited a greater prevalence of these argumentation patterns compared to those with low mathematics proficiency levels. The findings have implications as a valuable resource for teachers in monitoring the advancement of their students and preventing or alleviating diverse difficulties or inaccuracies that they may face. Based on the findings, a specific design for a classroom teaching activity is proposed.

The development of technology in radiolink networks has grown rapidly and is suitable to be implemented on wide coverage area networks, but weather and physical environment factors greatly affect signal conditions. The background that has been stated, this study proposes migration to fiber optic access media because it is able to send data faster and is not affected by electromagnetic interference and is stable. Furthermore, this study conducted an optimization analysis on the SDWAN (Software Defined Wide Area Network) network, SDWAN functions as a firewall that can provide connectivity support and infrastructure network development in branch offices with system security in one centralized platform. The test method used in this study is a connectivity test from each remote fortigate located in the branch office. While the analysis method used is Quality of Service (QoS), which is a method to find out data delivery (Packet Loss, Delay and Jitter) using the FortiManager application, which is the analytical and experimental proof of concept of the SDWAN network model using the BGP method for auto failover testing.

Abstraction is fundamental in mathematics learning because students can discover the studied concepts through abstraction. Bibliometric analyses of abstraction research in mathematics education have yet to be published. A bibliometric analysis is conducted to explore trends in abstraction research. The mathematics education researchers will gain insights from studying the development of abstraction research over the last fifteen years. The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the primary journals published, the most productive authors, universities, and countries and to identify current trends in abstraction research. Data were collected from the Scopus database and analysed using VOSviewer and R software. A thorough review was conducted on 271 articles published between 2008 and 2022. The collected data was analysed and presented using R studio and VOSviewer software. The publication of abstraction research has increased every year. Abstraction studies related to geometry, computational thinking, and preschool are trend and abstraction studies related to gesture, preschool child, arithmetic, physiology, mathematical concepts, geometry, language, and cognition. Abstraction research is exciting because it will still trend until 2022. This study offers valuable insights to researchers interested in mathematics education for exploring alternative research directions to the primary research trends. Based on these results, recommendations for further research are given so that they can explore various options for research trends.

Objective: To investigate the potential of N-acetylcysteine (NAC) and zinc sulphate (ZnSO4) in mitigating reproductive dysfunction caused by di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) in rats and to understand the underlying mechanisms, specifically oxidative stress and sex hormone receptor activity. Methods: Thirty-five male Wistar rats were randomly divided into five equal groups (n=7 per group). Group 1 was administered 0.5 mL of distilled water and served as the control group. Group 2 was given only DEHP (750 mg/kg/day), while group 3, 4 and 5 were given DEHP (750 mg/kg/day) plus NAC (100 mg/kg/day), DEHP (750 mg/kg/day) plus ZnSO4 (0.5 mg/kg/day), and DEHP (750 mg/kg/day) plus NAC (100 mg/kg/day) as well as ZnSO4 (0.5 mg/kg/day), respectively. All treatments lasted for 21 days. Samples were obtained after the rats were sacrificed, and hormones levels in the serum and markers of oxidative stress in the testicles were analyzed using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The amount of androgen receptors in the testicles was determined by immunohistochemistry, and the susceptibility of testosterone and DEHP to bind to androgen receptor and 5α-reductase was determined by molecular docking studies. Results: DEHP decreased reproductive hormones, testicular antioxidant enzymes, increased malondialdehyde levels, and negatively impacted histology of the pituitary and testes. NAC or ZnSO4 treatment showed a marked improvement in testicular antioxidant status and hormone levels, as well as a positive effect on the histology of the pituitary and testes. The combination of both treatments appeared to be more effective. The affinity of DEHP to bind to androgen receptors may lead to disruption of androgen receptor signaling, which can further result in dysfunction of hormones related to androgen. However, NAC is more likely to form stronger binding interactions with follicle stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone receptors, as well as gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptors, when compared to DEHP. Conclusions: The possibility that NAC and ZnSO4 could downregulate DEHP-induced sex hormone changes is suggested by their potential to reduce toxicity.

Latar belakang. Stunting merupakan kondisi gagal tumbuh akibat kekurangan gizi secara kronis. Di Indonesia, prevalensi stunting pada tahun 2021 adalah 24,4 persen. Kondisi prevalensi stunting di Sumatera Utara juga sangat memprihatinkan. Sebanyak 13 dari 33 kabupaten/kota yang berada di Sumatera Utara memiliki prevalensi stunting di atas 30%. Kecamatan Medan Denai adalah salah satu kecamatan di Kota Medan dengan kasus gizi buruk anak tertinggi. Salah satu faktor risiko kejadian stunting adalah tingkat pendidikan ibu. Tujuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pendidikan dengan tingkat pengetahuan ibu tentang stunting. Metode. Penelitian analitik observasional dengan desain cross-sectional dengan sampel penelitian terdiri dari 96 responden yaitu ibu anak balita yang berdomisili dan menyekolahkan anaknya di TK/PAUD di Kecamatan Medan Denai yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. This study aims to illustrate the subjectification of women's bodies as one of the notions of postfeminist sensibility. Subjectification involves depicting women in a patriarchal setting as empowered individuals with agency, highlighting their reservoirs of strength and spheres of influence, challenging the perception of complete powerlessness. The object of investigation in this study is the music video by Doja Cat entitled "WOMAN" (2021), with a primary focus on examining the dynamic interaction among female talents within the context of the surrounding characters and environment. The author employs textual and visual analysis with qualitative methods and Fiske's Television Culture. In terms of theory, the analysis of the objects was supported by drawing upon Rosalind Gill's postfeminist sensibility. The study's analysis reveals that female talents, initially characterized by power and agency, faces a threat in the presence of patriarchy. This compels them to leverage their bodies and traditional roles as tools for negotiation. This study finds out that subjectification also can be an effort for women to negotiate patriarchal relationships as the bodies were used as tools to assert control and authority over the opposite sex without engaging as an object instead as a subject. This also counters the typical male gaze that makes women look passive or disempowered.

Population growth led to massive construction development, with increasing demand every year. One of those demands is housing construction. The high demand for this house has led to the emergence of new contractors on a local scale, with products and services of unstable quality. Hence, the contractors need to be more competitive in the industry. This research aims to identify and analyze the important factors influencing quality assurance (QA) and the competitiveness of local contractors in housing construction projects. The analysis is grounded in three primary frameworks: ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems), PMBOK 6th Edition (Project Management Body of Knowledge), and Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing Regulation No. 4 of 2009. The research design used statistical analysis, Relative Importance Index (RII), and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to identify key factors. Research findings indicate that leadership commitment, project resources, and quality documentation are the three most critical factors. Regardless of the identified critical factors, all factors contribute to a significant influence on successful performance. The proposed strategic approach involves sequentially improving the "quality of work output," followed by "customer retention" and "project cycle efficiency." These findings can serve as a guideline for contractors in making decisions to enhance their competitiveness.

Objective: The relevance of content knowledge, as well as andragogical knowledge and technological knowledge, is rapidly coming into focus as a challenge to turn into Technological Andragogical Content Knowledge (TACK). This study aimed to understand better the substantial variations in learning outcomes attributed to each of the seven sub-indicators of comprehension of technological andragogical content knowledge. Method: This study part of quantitative study. The data were gathered twice in this research, once before and once after the TACK intervention program began, to examine the impact of the TACK training paradigm. The TACK Training Model Development program was offered to 97 instructors from 28 Community Learning Activity Centers in the West Sumatra Province, Indonesia. These instructors engaged in the program on a voluntary basis. Result: The results of this study show that there was a statistically significant difference in TACK among currently practicing educators. This study suggests that a blended learning system for educational applications as an intelligence tutor may provide an alternate means of guiding educators. The findings of this research align with other research suggesting that the blended learning strategy has great potential for future TACK-based professional learning enabled by data analytics. This study's findings add to the expanding body of literature on blended learning in teacher education and teacher professional development, which seeks to enhance how adult instructors get specialized professional training to significantly impact their students' achievements. Conclusions: According to the findings, the TACK of the participants showed substantial signs of improvement. These findings contribute to the relatively small body of research that has been done on TACK, which helps adult educators further their professional development through the support of a blended learning system. This allows them to acquire the knowledge necessary to andragogically incorporate digital technology into students' educational experiences in Community Learning Activity Centers. This investigation has the potential to serve as a case study of the integration of blended learning with adult learning theory.

Abstract Focal liver lesions are frequently encountered during imaging studies, and hemangiomas represent the most common solid liver lesion. Liver hemangiomas usually show characteristic imaging features that enable characterization without the need for biopsy or follow-up. On the other hand, there are many benign and malignant liver lesions that may show one or more imaging features resembling hemangiomas that radiologists must be aware of. In this article we will review the typical imaging features of liver hemangiomas and will show a series of potential liver hemangiomas’ mimickers, giving radiologists some hints for improving differential diagnoses. Critical relevance statement The knowledge of imaging features of potential liver hemangiomas mimickers is fundamental to avoid misinterpretation. Key Points Liver hemangiomas typically show imaging features that enable avoiding a biopsy. Many benign and malignant liver lesions show imaging features resembling hemangiomas. This study aimed to compare calcium oxide (CaO) and calcium chloride (CaCl2) as calcium sources for coconut fatty acid distillate (CFAD) calcium soap (Ca-soap) production and to evaluate the supplementation ratios of unprotected and protected CFAD in dairy rations to optimize rumen function. This research included two steps: (1) assessing the protection strength of Ca-soap made with CaO and CaCl2 at mole ratios of Ca to CFAD of 1, 1.5, 2, and 2.5; (2) evaluating CFAD supplementation in an in vitro dairy ration study using a 5 × 4 randomized factorial block design. Factor A compared unprotected and protected CFAD ratios of A1 = 100:0, A2 = 75:25, A3 = 50:50, A4 = 25:75, and A5 = 0:100, and factor B compared supplementation levels of B1 = 0%, B2 = 1%, B3 = 2%, and B4 = 3%. CaCl2 at a 2.5-mole ratio to CFAD produced the lowest acid value and the carboxylic acid (C=O) chemical bond. Complete protection (0:100) exhibited the highest densities of Bacteroides and nutrient digestibility (p < 0.05) without significantly affecting rumen fermentability (p > 0.05). Higher CFAD levels significantly reduced methanogens and protozoa (p < 0.05) without significantly affecting estimated methane production. In conclusion, CaCl2 at a 2.5-mole ratio to CFAD provided the best protection, and its complete protection in CFAD supplementation optimized rumen function.

Microplastics (MPs) have emerged as one of the global principal marine environmental problems in many countries, including Indonesia. However, fewer studies have been conducted on the MP impact on aquatic organisms. Thus, the present case study aimed to investigate the presence of MPs in mangrove sediments and coral reef fish in Biawak Island, West Java, Indonesia.

The designs of gamification platforms are diverse and constantly evolving. Excessive use of various game mechanisms in learning platforms can distract from the learning process. However, the fit of game mechanisms is still uncertain. Thus, this study investigates the effect of achieving fit when implementing game mechanisms on learning outcomes by applying the well-known task-technology fit theory (TTF). TTF is frequently employed to improve fit between tasks to be completed and the technology applied. The findings indicate that achieving gamification fit can reduce the cognitive load of students and result in enhanced learning performance in terms of learning outcomes. Data collected from 266 participants were analyzed using the technique of the partial least squares to validate the developed research model. The findings of this study can aid educators and educational technology designers in identifying the design mechanisms and characteristics that can be used to ensure design fit on gamification platforms.

Social media technology affects the learning paradigm change towards social media-based learning, known as social e-learning. Social e-learning regards a person as a center of learning, dubbed people-centered learning. Here, people are encouraged to interact or communicate with others and produce their learning content. This work attempted to provide a solution model for rural e-learning social learning empowered with intelligent web technology. The proposed social e-learning includes several modules for development, such as personal space, collaboration space, and communication space modules. It also leverages intelligent web technologies currently implemented in today’s social media applications, such as article search, article recommendations, friendship recommendations, and document classification. In the searching module, the PageRank method was used to calculate the relevance score to determine the rating of the documents or articles. The similarity-based element calculation method was utilized to create articles’ suggestions and recommendations. The naïve Bayes algorithm, decision tree, and neural network were compared to find the best solution for article classification in agriculture, fisheries, animal husbandry, and plantations. When comparing these three algorithms, the result showed that the neural network was the most accurate classification, reaching 95.2% accuracy. A clustering algorithm, namely robust clustering using links (ROCK), was utilized for rural friendship recommendation. Thus, these algorithms (the PageRank, the similarity-based element, neural network, and the ROCK) were suitable and recommended for supporting intelligent web paradigms in social e-learning applications.

Objective: This study investigates the influence of human resource management practices on job performance by mediating job satisfaction and employee value proposition among state-owned enterprise company employees. Design/Methods/Approach: This study was analyzed using an explanatory research approach with quantitative data collected through structured questionnaires involving 396 employees. Path Analysis was employed to investigate the research data using the Structural Equation Model and LISREL as statistical data processing tools. Findings: The results show that human resource management practices do not directly, positively, and significantly impact job performance in the company. However, the findings indicate a significant favorable influence of Human Resource Management Practices on Job Performance by mediating Job Satisfaction and Employee Value Proposition. Originality/Value: The existing literature highlights the unclear relationship between Human Resource Management Practices and Job Performance, often resembling a 'black box,' emphasizing the necessity to identify mediating variables operating through unexplained mechanisms. This study contributes to the existing literature by investigating the mediation role of employee value proposition alongside job satisfaction and explaining the relationship between human resource management practices and job performance in a state-owned enterprise. Practical/Policy implication: The state-owned enterprise company is advised to improve job satisfaction and perceived employee value proposition to increase job performance. Specifically, the state-owned enterprise company should improve its human resource management practices by providing better job stability and competitive salaries and incentives.

Coffee is a significant commodity trend, with numerous coffee shops rapidly established in Indonesia. The development of this industry has led to an increased discharge of coffee grounds into the environment. The discarded grounds contain oil which can be optimized using various methods and serve as a raw material for biodiesel. Therefore, this study aimed to compare the maceration and ultrasonic methods of extracting coffee grounds. The comparison focused on yield, mass transfer value (diffusivity), and extraction speed constant based on the proposed mathematical model. The results showed a yield of 12.1% and 16%, for the maceration and ultrasonic methods, respectively. Diffusivity value was registered at 9.99 x 10-11 m2/min and 9.8 x 10-10 m2/min, while extraction speed constant values were discovered to be 0.2 m/min and 1.798 m/min, respectively. Additionally, the energy evaluation of ultrasonic extraction produced a Gibbs energy value of -3765.72 Joules.

This research aims to describe the ability of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Ciamis in solving mathematics problems on SPLDV material based on the self-efficacy category. The research methodology used is descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects in this study were 30 students in class VIII-E of SMP Negeri 1 Ciamis. The data collection technique is a purposive sampling technique which begins with students filling out the self-efficacy questionnaire twice at different times, then filling in the numeracy ability test questions, and after that an interview is conducted. The results of this research are that students who have high self-efficacy will fulfill 3 indicators of numeracy ability and solve questions easily. Students who have moderate self-efficacy will fulfill 3 indicators of numeracy ability but when solving mathematics problems they have obstacles and experience a few errors in using formulas. Students who have low self-efficacy only fulfill 2 indicators of numeracy ability and cannot solve math problems to completion

This community engagement activity aims to enhance high school students' English listening skills through the application of the index card matching method. The implementation method of this service involved training that includes preparation, implementation, practice, and evaluation stages. The participants of this training were 34 students from class XII in SMAN 1 Wonomulyo, Polewali Mandar Regency. The evaluation instrument for this activity used a pre-test and post-test with quantitative data analysis. The results of this community service activity showed an improvement in students' listening skills after applying the index card matching method. The average student score increased by 34 points from the initial test average score of 46.00 to 80.00 on the final test. During the community service process, students showed interest and a positive response, and actively participated in the learning process with high enthusiasm and interaction.

This community service activity aims to increase the attractiveness of Markoni Beach in Balikpapan through the creation of website-based promotional media as an effort to increase the number of visitors and community welfare. The method of implementing this service used surveys, outreach and practice. The results of this dedication showed that the creation of website media was used as branding for Markoni Balikpapan Beach. It could increase visitors to Markoni Beach. Apart from that, outreach could increase public understanding regarding the importance of processing waste and maintaining environmental cleanliness in tourist areas. It is hoped that the results of this activity could increase the number of visitors and the economic welfare of the local community.

This research was conducted in a company engaged in the production of cement bags which include pasted woven, pasted kraft, and sewn woven. Waste is still generated on the production floor throughout the pasted weaved manufacturing process. The essential waste that happens, including faults, waiting, Environmental, Health, and Safety, as well as other problems that cause the lead time to be too lengthy, namely 1430 minutes. The goal of this study is to assess the degree of waste that happens by calculating Defects Per Million Opportunities and the sigma level, as well as to make recommendations for improvement. The research results show that the reduction in lead time for waste of non-value-added defects in the pasted woven production process, which was originally worth 1430 minutes, can be reduced to 1365 minutes by reducing activities in the form of a 65-minute delay, thereby reducing cycle time in the pasted woven production process. The average DPMO value was 36898 at a sigma level of 3.284. Proposed modifications to decrease waste are analyzed using Failure Mode and Effect Analysis and Risk Priority Number values to identify the sources of waste. Recommendations for companies provide training to operators to avoid human error, inspect raw materials before entering the production process and periodically control the condition of machines.

The assessment of firm value is crucial because it reflects the company's performance, which can affect investor perceptions. Along with development, firm value can be influenced by applying financial management functions, such as tax avoidance and dividend policy. This study aims to obtain empirical evidence regarding the impact of tax avoidance and dividend policy on firm value, with managerial ownership as a moderating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach, with a population of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2019-2022. Sampling was carried out using the purposive sampling method, so that 32 companies per year were obtained during 2019-2022, resulting in a total of 128 data. Statistical tests were carried out using moderated regression analysis. The research findings show that tax avoidance has a negative impact on firm value, while dividend policy has a positive impact on firm value. However, the managerial ownership variable has no significant effect in strengthening or weakening the relationship between tax avoidance and dividend policy on firm value.

In solid geometry, the concept of conic sections plays an important role in teaching graphs such as parabolas, ellipses, and hyperbolas to undergraduate students in Mathematics Education. It is understood that the abstraction process in mastering conic sections is strongly needed. This study examines the abstraction process of conic sections among third-year undergraduate Mathematics Education students (4 males and 21 females) at Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), Indonesia. The data was collected by analyzing students' responses in a 60-minute diagnostic test using the Abstraction in Context (AiC) framework. The test consists of 3 questions, validated by 2 Professors of UMM (average score = 4.14) and 2 lecturers (average score = 4.04). The results showed that 1 male and 11 female students did not reach the construction stage of AiC. Subsequently, a student with a low diagnostic test score and the least completion of AiC stages was observed further through an interview. This student passed through all stages of abstraction with the help of DGE. We also underscored undergraduates' challenges in this process, particularly in visualizing conic section objects, spatial thinking, and employing appropriate mathematical signs. Based on these findings, further research with a broader sample is needed to explore diverse abstraction processes.

The quality of rivers and coastal is gradually deteriorating along with rapid population and socio-economic growth in the watershed to the estuary. Sampling was conducted in Semarang city rivers and Demak district rivers, Central Java Province, Indonesia, at four different stations according to geography and designation: river basins, estuaries, and rivers affected by industrial and domestic waste. Research time is August - October 2023 during the dry season. The research method uses descriptive analysis to determine the variables to be studied based on the research results in the field. River and coastal pollution levels are measured using the Heavy Metal Pollution Index method, with several water quality parameters measured, such as BOD, COD, Ammonia, TDS, TSS, and Total Coliform. In contrast, the heavy metal parameters measured are Cd, Ni, Zn, Cu, and Pb. The heavy metals and water quality parameters analyzed guided by Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 22 of 2021 class 2. Water quality and heavy metal analysis use the Heavy Metals Pollution Index (HPI). HPI is an assessment method that shows the influence of individual heavy metal compounds on overall water quality. The results show that the status of non-metal water quality in terms of HPI analysis shows that Sampling Station (SS) 1 is 224.30 (unsuitable for drinking), SS 2 is 645.98 (unsuitable for drinking), SS 3 is 320.09 (unsuitable for drinking), SS 4 is 252.09 (unsuitable for drinking), and metal parameters in terms of HPI analysis show that SS1 is 26.43 (good), SS2 is 2345.84 (unsuitable for drinking), SS3 is 26.43 (good), and SS4 is 12.64 (excellent). The conclusions from these four research areas indicate that the status of water quality, according to the HPI is unsuitable for drinking, however, indications of heavy metals in 2 areas are still tolerable, namely good and excellent. The decline in water quality in the research area is caused by domestic and industrial waste polluting the waters. In conclusion, this river area requires further management from the collaboration of various stakeholders. Keywords: Water Quality Heavy Metal Coastal Watershed

Cladodes of Opuntia ficus-indica (OFI) are thought to be an excellent source of bioactive compounds, making them an aspirant for the manufacture of health-promoting compounds. This study aims at exploring the pro-apoptotic effects of spiny and thornless OFI cladode extracts on the human immortalized myelogenous leukemia cell line (K562).

Introduction: Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) implementation in remote areas by operating hospital ships is immensely helpful due to high patient turnover, reducing costs, and minimizing the effects of surgical stress. Utilization of regional anesthetics, namely ultrasound-guided Transversus Abdominis Plane (TAP) block or Quadratus Lumborum (QL) block, is applicable and beneficial in this setting. Objective: Due to the limited time, facilities, and health personnel available in floating hospital services surgery, several adjustments in anesthetic methods are required to rapidly return patients to their preoperative physiologic state. Therefore, we wrote this case report. Case Series: We presented case series of lower abdominal surgery performed in Ksatria Airlangga Floating Hospital with the implementation of peripheral nerve blocks as one of the ERAS protocols in one of the remote islands in Indonesia, Gili Iyang Island. Two patients underwent TAP blocks, while the remaining two received QL Blocks. A peripheral nerve block was performed under ultrasound guidance and a 20-mL injection of 0.25% levobupivacaine to QL muscle or TAP. During the observation, we found Visual Analogue Score (VAS) of 1-2 after surgery, no post-operative sedation needed, only 1 patient experienced nausea without vomiting, and the length of health facility stay were less than 3 days. Discussion: Nearly all of our patients who underwent lower abdomen surgery got benefits from the application of peripheral nerve block. Because there was no opioid consumption in our cases, the risk of unwanted effect of opioids like postoperative nausea and vomiting, were also decreased. Conclusion: Peripheral nerve block, as mentioned TAP Block and QL Block, has emerged as a promising alternative to prevent and manage post-operative pain in remote medicine settings, namely Ksatria Airlangga Floating Hospital, particularly in areas with few medical facilities.

COVID-19 dan penyakit paru-paru telah menjadi faktor utama penyebab kematian manusia di seluruh dunia. Kematian pasien dipengaruhi oleh keterlambatan deteksi dini. Sebagian besar profesional medis menggunakan gambar untuk mengidentifikasi kondisi paru-paru. Namun, para ahli yang dapat me-diagnosis dengan gambar sangat terbatas. Diagnosis gambar mendiagnosa menggunakan penglihatan manusia secara konvensional. Klasifikasi penyakit paru-paru sangat bervariasi. Masalah yang disebutkan di atas menunjukkan bahwa deteksi penyakit paru-paru dengan Artificial Intelligence (AI) yang efektif telah ditetapkan. Namun, sebagian besar hasil penyakit paru-paru salah didiagnosis. Bagi pasien, masalah ini menjadi masalah besar. Bertujuan untuk menangani klasifikasi penyakit paru-paru dengan deteksi kesalahan yang tinggi, kami menggunakan beberapa teknik pre-processing gambar dan menerapkan model pembelajaran mendalam dalam EfficientNet. Model Pre-processing termasuk augmentasi, peningkatan white balance, dan peningkatan kontras. Berdasarkan penelitian sebelumnya, mayoritas proses analisa gambar medis mengalami kualitas gambar yang rendah. Berdasarkan laporan eksperimen, model yang kami usulkan mencapai hasil yang signifikan dalam mengurangi kesalahan deteksi pada klasifikasi penyakit paru-paru. Dimana hasil F1 score-nya 0,97, recallnya 0,98, presisinya 0,96, dan akurasinya 0,97. Kami mempertimbangkan untuk menggunakan model yang kami usulkan dalam klasifikasi multi-class. Kami mengevaluasi model yang kami usulkan menggunakan evaluation metric dan AUC Curve.

Indonesia is a predominantly Muslim country, so investing in stock instruments that comply with Sharia provisions is a major concern for investors in Indonesia. This research aims to compare the determining factors of capital structure in Sharia and non-sharia companies. This research sample used a purposive sampling method to obtain 66 shariah-compliant and 30 noncompliant companies from the cyclical consumer sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange form 2020-2022 and used panel data regression. Profitability and liquidity have a negative effect on shariah-compliant and noncompliant leverage. Size has a positive effect on shariah-compliant and noncompliant leverage. EVAL has a negative effect on shariah-compliant market leverage and a significant positive effect on noncompliant book leverage. In noncompliant, GDPG has a positive effect on market leverage. The novelty of this study is to add business risk as an independent variable. This study is expected to guide financial managers on the use optimal capital structure in sharia and non-sharia companies to increase the shareholders wealth. Investors are recommended to choose enterprises with high level of profitability, liquidity and size, as well as low earnings volatility.

Most students struggle with reading comprehension, often not meeting the curriculum standards. For this reason, a strategic approach is needed to enhance students' comprehension in reading, which makes them more interested in continuing to learn, one of which is the application of running dictation techniques. Therefore, this research aims to determine students' perceptions of the running dictation technique implemented in the reading comprehension classroom. This research used a quantitative method with a survey approach. A purposive sampling technique was used to select 36 students of tenth graders from one public school in Malang Regency. The questionnaire covers five dimensions Students' motivation, student perception of reading comprehension, students' attitude toward the implementation of the running dictation technique, students' subjective Norms toward implementation of the running Dictation technique, and students' perceived behavioral control towards the implementation of running dictation. The result revealed that the mean scores ranged from 2.95 to 3.07, indicating a generally positive perception in all dimensions. The highest average score of 3.07 was for students’ attitude toward the technique, indicating they find the technique effective and beneficial. The lowest average score of 2.95 was for students’ perception of their reading comprehension. This lower perception suggests that students still struggle with understanding English texts. This should be a concern for teachers to further train students in comprehensive reading with critical thinking so that students can find the implied meaning in each reading.
