Objective: To compare the maternal serum catestatin (CST) levels in pregnant women with preeclampsia (PE) and with normal blood pressure and evaluate the relationship between the maternal serum CST levels and fetal cardiac functions. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted on 27 women with early-onset PE (EOPE), 28 women with late-onset PE (LOPE), and 28 healthy pregnant women. Maternal serum CST levels were measured using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kits. Fetal cardiac functions were evaluated using the cardiac Doppler. Results: Maternal serum CST levels were lower in the EOPE group; however, no statistically significant difference was found between the groups. Objective The aim of thisstudy is to investigate the fetal MRI indications preferred by clinicians inour tertiary care center and to reveal the additional diagnostic contributionof MRI to ultrasound findings. Material and Method Between2016-2018, 322 cases who underwent fetal MRI were evaluated retrospectively.Fetal lesions were classified according to organ systems and indications ofclinicians were determined. Prenatal fetal ultrasound and MRI results wereevaluated. Results Distribution ofindications of 322 fetuses with fetal MRI; Central nervous system anomalies in138 (42.8%), placental anomalies in 99 (30.7%), genitourinary system anomaliesin 36 (11.2%), respiratory system anomalies in 18 (5.6%), 17 (5.3%) maternalfactor, 13 (4.0%) head, neck, face anomalies and 1 (0.4%) fetal factor.When allindications were examined, 13 (4.03%) patients had additional findings withMRI. Central nervous system anomalies were the most common additional findingwith 7 cases, fetal MRI contributed 5.07% in this group. There were 3additional findings (8.33% additional contribution) in the group withgenitourinary system abnormalities, 2 additional findings (11.7% additionalcontribution) in the maternal indications group and 1 additional finding (5.55%additional contribution) in the group with respiratory system anomalies,respectively. Conclusion Fetal MRI is increasinglyused for proper perinatal management and counseling in cases whereultrasonography is inadequate. The availability of MRI devices, the increase inexpertise in this field and the advancements in MRI technology will result inthe more widespread use of this modality in the field of Perinatology., ÖZET Amaç Üçüncü basamakmerkezimizde klinisyenler tarafından tercih edilen fetal MRG endikasyonlarınınincelenmesi ve MRG’nin ultrasonbulgularına olan ek tanısal katkısının ortaya konmasıdır. Gereç ve Yöntem 2016-2018 yıllarıarasında fetal MRG yapılan 322 olgu retrospektif olarak incelendi. Fetallezyonlar organ sistemlerine göre sınıflandırıldı ve klinisyenlerinendikasyonları belirlendi. Prenatal dönemde yapılan fetal ultrason ve MRGsonuçları değerlendirildi. Bulgular MRG çekilen 322fetüsün endikasyonlarının dağılımı; 138’inde (%42.8) santral sinir sistemianomalileri, 99’unda (%30.7) plasental anomaliler, 36’sında (%11.2) genitoürinersistem anomalileri, 18’inde (%5.6) solunum sistemi anomalileri, 17’sinde (%5.3)maternal faktör, 13’ünde (%4) baş, boyun, yüz anomalileri ve 1’inde (%0.4)fetal faktör olarak belirlendi.Tüm endikasyonlarincelendiğinde MRG ile ek bulgu saptanan olgu sayısı 13’tür (%4.03). Santralsinir sistemi anomalileri 7 olgu ile en sık ek bulgu saptanan gruptur, bu grupiçerisinde fetal MRG %5.07 oranında ek katkı sunmuştur. Sırasıyla genitoürinersistem anomalileri olan grupta 3 ek bulgu (%8.33 oranında ek katkı), maternalendikasyonlar grubunda 2 ek bulgu (%11.7 oranında ek katkı) ve solunum sistemianomalileri olan grupta 1 ek bulgu (%5.55 oranında ek katkı) olduğu görüldü. Sonuç Ultrasonografininyetersiz kaldığı hallerde uygun perinatal yönetim ve danışmanlık için fetal MRGgiderek artan sıklıkta kullanılmaktadır. MR cihazlarının daha ulaşılabilirolması, bu alandaki uzmanlığın artması ve MRG teknolojisindeki ileri gelişmeler,bu modalitenin perinatoloji alanında daha yaygın kullanımı ile sonuçlanacaktır.

Aim: The aim of the study is to determine the effect of simulation-based vaginal birth and obstetric emergencies training given to health professionals (physicians and nurses) working in emergency department on their knowledge level, active learning, team collaboration, and satisfaction with learning. Material and Method: This study is a semi-experimental study consisting of pre-test and post-test. The sample of the study consists of health professionals working in the emergency department. It was carried out in the obstetric unit of Medical Simulation Center in a university hospital. Health professional were given training 8 hours on vaginal birth and obstetric emergencies with simulation-based technique with high fidelity simulator with a guided scenario by trainers. The data were collected using 5 forms as follow: Descriptive Form, Survey Questionnaire, Student Satisfaction and Self-Confidence in Simulation Learning Scale, Simulation Design Scale and Educational Practices Questionnaire. Elektronik Fetal Monitorisazyon (EFM); elektronik yoldan myometrium kasilmalari ile fetal kalp hizinin senkron olarak gibi yazdirilmasidir. Intrapartum EFM; fetusun iyilik halinin degerlendirilmesinde en sik kullanilan obstetrik uygulamalardan biridir. Bu derlemenin amaci, dogumda yaygin uygulanan EFM’nin; cesitleri ve uygulanma sikligi, dort temel oruntusu, FKH traseleri icin uc kategorili siniflama sistemi ve bu sisteme gore fetusun izlemi hakkinda bilgi vermek ve EFM uygulamalarinda saglik profesyonellerinin (ebe, dogum hekimi gibi) temel sorumluluklarini ortaya koymaktir. EFM ile fetusta olasi bir hipoksi durumu erkenden belirlenip, gerekli bakim ve tedavi hizmetleri yapilarak neonatal sekellerin ve olumlerin onlenmesi amaclanmaktadir. EFM’nin saglikli fetuslari belirlemede pozitif tahmini degeri cok yuksek iken; asfiktik fetuslari belirlemede ise bu deger o kadar yuksek degildir. Intrapartum EFM’nin etkinligi; trasede FKH’nin tum oruntuleriyle (bazal hiz, akselerasyon, deselerasyon ve variabilite) birlikte yorumlanmasina ve bu yorum parelelinde standarize edilmis protokollerle fetusun izlenmesine baglidir. Saglik profesyonellerinin; EFM’nin uygulanmasi, yorumlanmasi ve izlenmesinde onemli sorumluluklari vardir.
