Different software development approaches (SDAs) are developed with broad portfolios of development processes. Each of the approaches has certain exclusive principles, practices, thinking, and values, which are informally represented, implemented, and improperly institutionalized. Ontologies are developed for the representation, assessment, and adaptation of SDAs separately without having a shared terminology which may lead to terminological conflict and confusion affecting the simultaneous representation and implementation in software development industry and academia. The software engineering approaches does not consider and support sustainability as priority concern. However, the approaches have capabilities of supporting sustainable software development in different sustainability aspects. This research article aims for the designing and development of an integrated ontology of software engineering approaches (i.e., agile, lean, and green) named OntoSuSD (ontology for sustainable software development) to support sustainable software development knowledge, awareness, and implementation. The goal of OntoSuSD is to propose, design and develop a formal, generic, consistent, and shared knowledge base containing semantic terminology and description of concepts and relationships generated around the representation and implementation of lean, agile, and green approaches in software development processes, which will facilitate their simultaneous implementation and assessment for sustainable software development. The OntoSuSD is developed using practical ontology engineering methodology by reusing relevant ontologies and explicit concepts and properties are defined to fulfill knowledge requirements and representations of the domain. The OntoSuSD is evaluated, and results infer OntoSuSD has high ontological design, good domain coverage, potential applications and achieves purpose of the ontology development. Internet of Things (IoT) defines a network of devices connected to the internet and sharing a massive amount of data between each other and a central location. These IoT devices are connected to a network therefore prone to attacks. Various management tasks and network operations such as security, intrusion detection, Quality-of-Service provisioning, performance monitoring, resource provisioning, and traffic engineering require traffic classification. Due to the ineffectiveness of traditional classification schemes, such as port-based and payload-based methods, researchers proposed machine learning-based traffic classification systems based on shallow neural networks. Furthermore, machine learning-based models incline to misclassify internet traffic due to improper feature selection. In this research, an efficient multilayer deep learning based classification system is presented to overcome these challenges that can classify internet traffic. To examine the performance of the proposed technique, Moore-dataset is used for training the classifier. The proposed scheme takes the pre-processed data and extracts the flow features using a deep neural network (DNN). In particular, the maximum entropy classifier is used to classify the internet traffic. The experimental results show that the proposed hybrid deep learning algorithm is effective and achieved high accuracy for internet traffic classification, i.e., 99.23%. Furthermore, the proposed algorithm achieved the highest accuracy compared to the support vector machine (SVM) based classification technique and k-nearest neighbours (KNNs) based classification technique. Solar energy is a widely used type of renewable energy. Photovoltaic arrays are used to harvest solar energy. The major goal, in harvesting the maximum possible power, is to operate the system at its maximum power point (MPP). If the irradiation conditions are uniform, the P-V curve of the PV array has only one peak that is called its MPP. But when the irradiation conditions are non-uniform, the P-V curve has multiple peaks. Each peak represents an MPP for a specific irradiation condition. The highest of all the peaks is called Global Maximum Power Point (GMPP). Under uniform irradiation conditions, there is zero or no partial shading. But the changing irradiance causes a shading effect which is called Partial Shading. Many conventional and soft computing techniques have been in use to harvest solar energy. These techniques perform well under uniform and weak shading conditions but fail when shading conditions are strong. In this paper, a new method is proposed which uses Machine Learning based algorithm called Opposition-Based-Learning (OBL) to deal with partial shading conditions. Summary: DNA signals mainly differ from standard digital signals due to their biological data contents. Owing to unique properties of DNA signals the conventional signal processing techniques, such as digital filters, suffers with spectral leakage and results in insignificant noise suppression in DNA sequence analysis. This article presents an intelligent noise suppression window filter (INSWF) for DNA signal analysis. The filter demises the signal by separating high‐level frequency contents and by identifying nucleotides with high fuzzy membership contribution at particular locations. The nucleotide contents of signals are later filtered by application of median filtering employing a combination of s‐shaped and z‐shaped filters. The fundamental characteristic of codons usage that causes uneven nucleotides segmentation has been tackled by finding the best fit of the curve in biological contents of filter. One of the fuzzy correlations existing between codons and median that nucleotides incorporated to reduce the signal noise to a larger magnitude. The INSWF filter outperformed the existing fixed‐length digital filters tested over 250 benchmarked and random datasets of various species. A notable enhancement of 45% to 130% was achieved by significantly suppressing signal noise as compared with conventional digital filters in DNA sequence analysis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In the treatment of human cancer, the existing drug response identification and assessment methods have some issues, such as high cost, slow processing, and low accuracy. Responsive methods that easily and indirectly assess patient tissue response to drugs or small molecules offer promising options for improving drug safety, and they are able to identify the right treatment for specific patients. Digital image correlation is a good technique that detects a part of the image between two images. In this article, a new method of correlation called significant improvement of correlation (SIC) was proposed. Data were taken from the confocal microscopy of two‐photon excited fluorescence (TPEF) probe images taken every 5 min for short‐term monitoring (STM) and long‐term monitoring (LTM; 12, 24, and 48 hours). Cells were cultured, and a new compound TPEF was tested and injected the drug. The effect of drug on the TPEF compound was assessed through correlation. Experimental and simulation results showed that the proposed SIC was better than the conventional correlation method. Results also revealed that the first three images had 0.8% correlation in STM and LTM Image15 and Image10 had 0.49% correlation. The other images demonstrated minimum correlation. Thus, the effect of the newly made drug on the cell and image had a minimum correlation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Achievement of sustainable privacy preservation is mostly very challenging in a resource shared computer environment. This challenge demands a dedicated focus on the exponential growth of big data. Despite the existence of specific privacy preservation policies at the organizational level, still sustainable protection of a user's data at various levels, i.e., data collection, utilization, reuse, and disclosure, etc. have not been implemented to its spirit. For every personal data being collected and used, organizations must ensure that they are complying with their defined obligations. We are proposing a new clustered-purpose based access control for users' sustainable data privacy protection in a big data environment. The clustered-purpose based access control significantly contributes to handling the personal data for stated, unambiguous, and genuine purposes. The proposed algorithm picks specific records from the sample space. It ensures the sustainability and utilization of data for intended purposes by validating the existing privacy tags, assigning new privacy tags based on a clustered-purpose based approach. The proposed method equally ensures the security and sustainable privacy aspects of existing as well as new personal data managed inside large data-bases repositories. The comparative analysis of significant results presents the outperformance of the proposed algorithm as compared to existing non-purpose based conventional methods of sustainable privacy preservation. The proposed algorithm clusters the large datasets in a big data environment and allows only authorized access to users. The current study is limited to purpose-based access control based on privacy tags. However, future research can also consider other types of privacy protection scenarios in a shared environment.
