Background & Aims Pressure ulcers are one of the most important challenges in hospitals. One of the reasons for its occurrence is the low knowledge and practice of health care professionals. This study aims to determine the effect of online pressure ulcer prevention training on the knowledge, attitude and practice of nurses in intensive care units (ICUs). Materials & Methods This is a single-group study that was conducted on 73 nurses working in the ICUs of two teaching hospitals in Tehran, Iran. The sampling was done by continuous sampling method from April 2022 to January 2023. The data collectioin tools included a demographic form, the Pieper pressure ulcer knowledge test, the attitude towards pressure ulcer prevention questionnaire, and the practice of pressure ulcer prevention questionnaire completed before and one month after training. To analyze the data, paired t-test was used in SPSS software, Version 22. The significance level was set at 0.05. Background: Nurses working in intensive care units (ICUs) are more in direct contact with COVID-19 patients than other healthcare team members and are more vulnerable to mental disorders. This study aimed to determine the general health status, posttraumatic stress disorder, and coping strategies of nurses employed in the COVID-19 intensive care units. Methods: It was a cross-sectional descriptive study. Using the census method, 102 nurses working in the COVID-19 intensive care units of Iran University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran, were recruited as the sample in 2022. The general health questionnaire (GHQ-28), the impact of events-revised (IES-R), and the ways of coping questionnaire (WCQ) were used as research instruments. The data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficient, independent t-test, and analysis of variance in SPSS software, version 16. The significance level was set at P0.05). Conclusion: Most nurses experienced mental disorders (general health disorders and posttraumatic stress) during the COVID-19 pandemic. To reduce the psychological impact of COVID-19 on nurses, paying attention to their mental health is essential. Given the adverse effect of COVID-19 on nurses, studying the relationship between these variables and the quality of nurses’ performance is suggested.

Background & Aims Cardiovascular diseases are responsible for 30% of all deaths worldwide. The present study aims to evaluate the effect of education through online social media (WhatsApp) on the anxiety and satisfaction of candidates for coronary angiography. Materials & Methods In this study, participants were candidates for elective coronary angiography referred to Imam Khomeini Hospital in Ahvaz, Iran from May to July 2021. They were assigned to the intervention (n=43) and control (n=43) groups. Data were collected using a demographic form, the Beck anxiety inventory (BAI) and the visual analog scale (VAS) for measuring satisfaction. Data analysis was performed in SPSS software, version 16 using independent t-test, paired t-test, chi-square test, and Fisher's exact test. Results Both groups were homogeneous in terms of demographic characteristics at baseline, and there was no significant difference in BAI scores between the intervention and control groups before the intervention (P=0.229). Background & Aims: Trauma is the main cause of death and disability in the world. Pre-hospital care is the first line of trauma care and treatment. Pre-hospital emergency services include immediate actions to save lives. Simulation allows employees to acquire basic skills in thinking, evaluating, solving problems, making decisions and analyzing data. Materials & Methods: This is a quasi-experimental study with a pre-test/post-test design. The participants were 60 pre-hospital emergency staff selected from among 200 staff of Fars pre-hospital emergency center . The simulation training was based on an educational model. The clinical skills of the participants in dealing with trauma patients was evaluated by the Objective Structured Clinical Skills Evaluation method in nine areas. After the training, the skills were re-evaluated and analyzed in SPSS v. 22 software. Results: The lowest mean score (from 0 to 100) was related to the skill of using traction splint (71.01±18.73) and the highest score was related to the skill of bleeding control and shock treatment (81.04±22.75). Introduction:Scarce data have been reported regarding the risk factors of lower limb varicose veins (VVs) in Iranian nurses. This study investigated the social and occupational parameters and lifestyle related to the development of VVs in a group of Iranian nurses.Materials and Methods: In the current cross-sectional study, 235 volunteered nurses filled the consent forms and were then examined by a vascular specialist. Varicose veins of the patient nurses were ranked based on Clinical, Etiological, Anatomical, and Pathophysiological criteria. Background and Aim: Stress is one of the most important issues that nurses face in the workplace that can affect the quality of patient care. Increasing nurses' self-efficacy can reduce their stress. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of education of nursing care based on mobile social network on job stress and job self efficacy of nurses in oncology wards. Method: This randomized clinical trial study was performed on 78 nurses working in oncology wards of selected hospitals in Tehran. Nurses were randomly divided into control and intervention groups. Intervention group received nursing care materials in chemotherapy for four weeks via social network. The control group received routine training during this time. The level of stress was assessed through Expanded Nurses Job Stress Questionnaire (ENSS) and job self-efficacy through the Job Self-efficacy Questionnaire (JSEQ) before and one month after the intervention.
