Metal organic framework (MOF)-derivatives have a larger specific surface area, higher porosity, tunable pore size, higher conductivity, good stability, more exposed active species, etc., but few literature are reported about their application potential in micropollutant separation and removal. In view of this, a robust MOF derivative-based photocatalytic superhydrophobic membrane (D6/TiO2/MoS2/NiCo-NC/PVDF) was successfully fabricated for the first time through solvothermal synthesis and chemical modification, combined with a negative pressure-assisted loading approach. (1) The MoS2-doping strategy effectively avoided the collapse and coarsening of cauliflower-like MOFs during the calcination phase and simultaneously ensured the uniform distribution of metal particles in MOF-derived carbons. (2) The synergistic catalysis of the NiCo-MOF derivative, MoS2, and TiO2 enhanced the transfer efficiency of electrons and free radicals, achieving efficient in situ degradation of pesticides and pharmaceutical and personal care products. (3) The introduction of sodium alginate greatly improved the adhesion between the coating and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) membrane and simultaneously enhanced the growth of MOFs through complexation. (4) The cauliflower-like MOF-derived carbon skeleton with higher surface areas and micronanoporosity combined with a heterogeneous MoS2 structure provided a large specific surface area and enough adsorption sites for various pollutants. High thermal calcination treatment greatly enhanced MOF growth rate, thus resulting in a flaky structure with high regularity and a large specific area. (5) The ultralow surface energy of interlaced siloxane molecules endowed the hybrid membrane with robust superhydrophobicity and superoleophilicity, always maintaining superhydrophobicity after long-time photodegradation. The final membrane achieved continuous emulsion separation and a photocatalytic self-cleaning property. The separation efficiency of the hybrid membrane for emulsions was still up to 97% after reuse for 120 cycles, and it could degrade 86.5% PRO, 90.1% ACE, 92.1% ASP, and 94.3% SMZ, respectively, with the initial concentration of 10 mg/L. The driving forces for oil–water separation and decontamination of the D6/TiO2/MoS2/NiCo-NC/PVDF membrane mainly involved the grasping forces of dodecamethylcyclohexasiloxane, capillary force of inner pores, electrostatic interaction, hydrogen bond interaction, partial p-π conjugation, van der Waals force, and lipophilicity. From an integrative view of paradox and culture, this research aims to elucidate the impact of cultural heterogeneity on the compositional structure of business models (BMs) in the Asia Pacific by focusing on the core BM content about the mechanisms of value creation and innovation. After a systematic review addressing the knowledge void, we refine the widely accepted, renowned model of a BM canvas to propose a new, indigenous Confucian BM canvas using the Yin-Yang harmony cognition as the underlying rationale for identifying the peculiar, innovative value-creating patterns of BMs in Confucian Asia. Our canvas encompasses three new building blocks: Social Legitimacy, Institutional Enabler, Institutional Disabler, that reflects the idiosyncratic Confucian cultural values and, thereby, can serve as a vital strategic map. Based on the insights distilled from this new canvas, we further suggest a novel 'networked synergistic mode of innovation for value creation' with an example of the electric motor industry in the Asia Pacific region. The large ferroelectric diode current modulated by bipolar polarization in epitaxial (111) BiFeO3 thin film has been observed. With the survey of different current leakage models, it is found that the space-charge limited current dominates the conduction. For the intrinsic physical understanding, the rectification of diode currents near domain coercive fields is attributed to gradient distribution of the trap charges between top and bottom electrode/ferroelectric interfaces, and the distributed charges can be reversed upon polarization reversal. Moreover, the retention time of the On and Off diode currents is over 104 s with their ratio of around 5:1. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We demonstrated a BiFeO3single-crystalline thin film, which was deposited on a (100) SrTiO3single-crystal substrate by using a pulse laser deposition technology. The as-grown domain structure was investigated by piezoresponse force microscopy, which possesses two preferential downward <111> orientations in an angle of 71°. We have found that the abnormal out of plane stripe domain patterns match with the in-plane domains. According to schematic diagrams and quantitative equations, we explained that the coupling between the out of plane and in-plane domains arise from the buckling effect, which can open a new way to reconstruct the real polarization vectors. Highly crystallized ferroelectric BiFeO3 thin films were deposited on various miscut (100) SrTiO3 substrates. The domain structure of the films varies with substrate miscut angles and atomic-layer termination at the surface. The BiFeO3 thin films grown on 4° miscut substrates exhibit 71° periodic stripe domains consisting of two downward polarization variants. In contrast, four downward variants coexist in the films deposited on 0.2° miscut substrates, regardless of atomic-layer termination at the surface of the substrate. The introduction of an additional SrTiO3 repair layer on the same substrate results in a step-flow growth mode of the film. It is believed that the improved mobility of the BiFeO3 atomic species during the film growth leads to the appearance of preferred ferroelectric variants at the step edges. These preferred variants eventually form stripe domains. Our results reveal that both the miscut angle and the step-flow growth promote the formation of the two variant striped domains in BiFeO3 films deposited on decorated isotropic SrTiO3 substrates.
