Abstract

Non-radiative recombination induced by the defects on the surfaces of perovskite films significantly impedes the enhancement of performance in perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Therefore, modifying the surface of perovskite films is crucial for achieving high-efficiency PSCs. In this study, we propose a surface passivation method for perovskite films using cyanomethyltriphenylphosphonium chloride (CTPC) molecules. Our observations reveal that the C≡N group in CTPC molecules can bond with Pb2+ to passivate the undercoordinated lead sites on the perovskite layer. Additionally, the positively charged P+ moiety of CTPC molecules can interact electrostatically with I− ions, further reducing defect density. Consequently, a remarkable power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 24.63% was obtained. And the encapsulated device retained 88% of its initial PCE over a period of 1200 hours. This scholarly endeavor elucidates a novel methodology for mitigating interfacial defects and thereby propelling advancements in high-performance planar PSCs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

We report a facile method to synthesize a series of WO3 microfibers with three-dimensional architectures of nanoparticles and/or microplates through an infiltration and calcination process by taking cotton as template. The crystal structures, morphologies and optical properties of the WO3 microfibers have been investigated systematically leading to the finding that the WO3 microfibers show mixed phases and delicate micro/nano-structures which can be controlled by calcination temperature and rate. Furthermore, we also find that the WO3 microfibers calcined at 500 °C under a calcination rate of 1 °C/min exhibit an intense photoluminescence emission around 452 nm.

Abstract

Graphene films have been attracting great interest owing to their unique physical properties. In this paper, we develop an efficient method to prepare large-area monolayer graphene (97.5% coverage) by atmospheric pressure chemical vapor deposition on Cu foils using polystyrene in a short time (3 min). Raman spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy and scanning electron microscopy are employed to confirm the thickness and uniformity of the graphene films. Graphene films on glass substrates show high optical transmittance and electrical conductivity. Magnetic transport studies demonstrate that the as-grown monolayer graphene exhibits a high carrier mobility of 3395 cm2 V-1 s-1 at 25 K. On the basis of the analysis, it is concluded that our method is a simple, safe and versatile approach for the synthesis of monolayer graphene.
