Abstract Background Circular RNAs (circRNAs) play critical roles in the tumorigenesis and radiosensitivity of multiple cancers. Nevertheless, the biological functions of circRNA periostin (circ‐POSTN) in esophageal cancer (EC) progression and radiosensitivity have not been well elucidated. Methods The expression of circ‐POSTN, microRNA‐876‐5p (miR‐876‐5p), and proto‐oncogene tyrosine‐protein kinase (FYN) was analyzed by quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT‐qPCR). Cell proliferation was assessed by MTT, colony formation, and 5‐ethynyl‐2′‐deoxyuridine (EDU) assays. All protein levels were detected by western blot assay. Cell apoptosis and invasion were assessed by flow cytometry analysis and transwell assay, respectively. Dual‐luciferase reporter and RNA immunoprecipitation (RIP) assays were used to validate the interaction between miR‐876‐5p and circ‐POSTN or FYN. The role of circ‐POSTN in vivo was explored by establishing mice xenograft model. Results Circ‐POSTN was overexpressed in EC tissues and cells. Knockdown of circ‐POSTN inhibited cell proliferation and invasion and elevated apoptosis and radiosensitivity in EC cells. MiR‐876‐5p was a direct target of circ‐POSTN, and its knockdown reversed the role of sh‐circ‐POSTN in EC cells. FYN was a direct target of miR‐876‐5p, and FYN elevation weakened the effects of miR‐876‐5p overexpression on the progression and radiosensitivity of EC cells. Moreover, circ‐POSTN acted as a miR‐876‐5p sponge to regulate FYN expression. Circ‐POSTN interference also suppressed tumor growth and enhanced radiosensitivity in vivo. Conclusion Circ‐POSTN knockdown inhibited proliferation and invasion, but increased apoptosis and enhanced radiosensitivity in EC cells via modulating miR‐876‐5p/FYN axis, which might be a potential diagnostic and therapeutic target for EC.

Abstract Hypoxia pulmonary hypertension (PH) belongs to the third major category in PH classification. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a common cause of hypoxia PH. Low serum vitamin D concentration is considered to be a possible risk factor for chronic lung disease; epidemiological studies have found that vitamin D deficiency increases pulmonary artery pressure. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the role of vitamin D levels in COPD and chronic hypoxic PH. This retrospective study selected three groups of people as research subjects, including: Group N: normal control group (people without any chronic lung disease or PH); Group C: patients with COPD, but without PH; Group C + PH: patients with COPD and PH. Vitamin D levels and pulmonary artery pressure were observed in the three groups. Vitamin D levels of the three groups showed statistical differences in every pairwise comparison; the vitamin D level of Group C (20.27 ng/mL) was lower than Group N (23.48 ng/mL), Group C + PH was the lowest (14.92 ng/mL). The levels of vitamin D in the three groups in this study were generally low. Vitamin D is negatively correlated with pulmonary artery systolic blood pressure. Low vitamin D levels may have a certain relationship with the occurrence and development of COPD. Further reductions in vitamin D levels may influence the development of PH in COPD.

BackgroundThe relationships of the rs17782313 polymorphism near melanocortin 4 receptor gene (MC4R) and the rs8192678 polymorphism in peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma coactivator 1 alpha gene (PGC1α) with metabolic abnormalities have been explored in many populations around the world, but the findings were not all consistent and sometimes even a bit contradictory.MethodsElectronic databases including Medline, Scopus, Embase, Web of Science, CNKI and Google Scholar were checked for studies that met the inclusion criteria. Data were carefully extracted from eligible studies. Standardized mean differences (SMDs) were calculated by using a random-effects model to examine the differences in the indexes of obesity, glucometabolic disorder and dyslipidemia between the genotypes of the rs17782313 and rs8192678 polymorphisms. Cochran’s Q-statistic test and Begg’s test were employed to identify heterogeneity among studies and publication bias, respectively.ResultsFifty studies (58,716 subjects) and 51 studies (18,660 subjects) were respectively included in the pooled meta-analyses for the rs17782313 and rs8192678 polymorphisms. The C-allele carriers of the rs17782313 polymorphism had a higher average level of body mass index (SMD = 0.21 kg/m2, 95% confidence interval [95% CI] = 0.12 to 0.29 kg/m2, p < 0.001), waist circumference (SMD = 0.14 cm, 95% CI = 0.06 to 0.23 cm, p < 0.001) and blood glucose (SMD = 0.09 mg/dL, 95% CI = 0.02 to 0.16 mg/dL, p = 0.01) than the TT homozygotes. Regarding the rs8192678 polymorphism, no significant associations with the indexes of obesity, glucometabolic disorder and dyslipidemia were detected. However, significant correlations between the rs8192678 polymorphism and multiple glucometabolic indexes were observed in subgroup analyses stratified by sex, age, ethnicity and health status.ConclusionThe meta-analysis demonstrates that the C allele of the MC4R rs17782313 polymorphism confers a higher risk of obesity and hyperglycemia, and the PGC1α rs8192678 polymorphism is weakly correlated with glucometabolic disorder. Background and Aims: This study are to investigate the clinical indicators of the infertile population of IVF-ET thin endometrium patients after electro-ultrasound treatment, record the observational data and analyze the clinical effectiveness of this treatment method. Method: Patients undergoing IVF-ET freeze-thaw embryo transfer from March 2022 to November 2022 were screened, and those who met the entry criteria were randomly grouped by random number table method. Treatment group (n=32): patients who received electro-ultrasound therapy; patients treated with electro-ultrasound (MLD-C7000) once a day for 30 minutes for 7 days for 1-3 sessions in the context of conventional FET preparation of the endothelium. Control group (n=69): Routine FET preparation of the endometrium without. Results: There were no significant differences in basic data (P > 0.05). The endometrial thickness on the day of conversion 7.75±2.00 mm was significantly higher in the treatment group than the endometrial thickness on the day of conversion 6.39±0.67 mm in the control group (P 0.05). Conclusion: In IVF-ET patients with thin endometrium, electro-ultrasound therapy device can effectively improve the endometrial thickness of patients with a trend of beneficial effects on clinical outcomes and can be one of the methods to improve the success rate in patients with thin endometrium. However, further increase in sample size is needed in the future to improve the accuracy of the results.

Abstract Background Unsubstantiated concerns have been raised on the potential correlation between severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) vaccination and infertility, leading to vaccine hesitancy in reproductive-aged population. Herein, we aim to evaluate the impact of inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccination on embryo ploidy, which is a critical indicator for embryo quality and pregnancy chance. Methods This was a retrospective cohort study of 133 patients who underwent preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A) cycles with next-generation sequencing technology from June 1st 2021 to March 17th 2022 at a tertiary-care medical center in China. Women fully vaccinated with two doses of Sinopharm or Sinovac inactivated vaccines (n = 66) were compared with unvaccinated women (n = 67). The primary outcome was the euploidy rate per cycle. Multivariate linear and logistic regression analyses were performed to adjust for potential confounders. Results The euploidy rate was similar between vaccinated and unvaccinated groups (23.2 ± 24.6% vs. 22.6 ± 25.9%, P = 0.768), with an adjusted β of 0.01 (95% confidence interval [CI]: -0.08–0.10). After frozen-thawed single euploid blastocyst transfer, the two groups were also comparable in clinical pregnancy rate (75.0% vs. 60.0%, P = 0.289), with an adjusted odds ratio of 6.21 (95% CI: 0.76–50.88). No significant associations were observed between vaccination and cycle characteristics or other laboratory and pregnancy outcomes. Conclusions Inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccination had no detrimental impact on embryo ploidy during in vitro fertilization treatment. Our finding provides further reassurance for vaccinated women who are planning to conceive. Future prospective cohort studies with larger datasets and longer follow-up are needed to confirm the conclusion.

The urban climate has a critical influence on developing sustainable cities, and one important factor is the urban wind environment. Moreover, refining urban wind fields is required for the quantitative assessment of urban wind environments. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a powerful tool for modeling the wind flow characteristics in urban areas. Although CFD has been widely used in various fields, its use for simulating urban wind fields has limitations because of the complexity of urban building models and the high computational workload. Accordingly, we consider the generalization parameters in the vertical and horizontal directions based on the CFD results and the building topology based on the state of the building nodes. We perform a two-dimensional generalization of building clusters, conduct spatial analysis in a geographic information system (GIS), and generate three-dimensional models. This generalization scheme is applied to Meiling Street in Jinjiang City, Fujian Province, China. The results indicate that the generalization decreases the number of buildings from 7003 to 3367 and the computation time from 11 h and 26 min to 10 h and 25 min. The computation efficiency is improved by 8.89%, with 1.85% changes in the average wind speed ratio. This scheme substantially improves the computational efficiency of urban wind field CFD simulations by reducing the geometric model’s complexity without compromising the accuracy. This strategy is suitable for simulating large-scale urban wind fields.

Here the authors investigate the programmability of crRNA-tracrRNA hybridization for Cas9 and apply this to biosensing.

Background Drought stress is a major prevalent environmental factor impairing growth. Melatonin mitigates the impacts of drought stress on plants. However, melatonin’s role in Phoebe sheareri (Hemsl.) Gamble (P. sheareri) is unknown. We aimed to reveal the protective effects of melatonin on P. sheareri seedlings under drought conditions. Methods Melatonin was sprayed under drought or normal water conditions. The parameters, including growth, physiological factors, and phytohormones of P. sheareri, were examined. Results Compared to the normal control group, drought stress inhibited the growth of seedlings and significantly reduced the content of carotenoids, SOD, POD, APX, PPO, CAT, GR, and soluble sugars, and increased the contents of MDA, O2•−, proline, soluble proteins, ABA, and JA-Me in P. sheareri seedlings. However, melatonin treatment significantly reversed the adverse drought-induced responses and promoted the P. sheareri seedling’s growth. Moreover, the heatmap and principal component analysis suggested a high similarity in the behavior patterns of the six measured antioxidant enzymes in P. sheareri seedlings. Conclusion Our study reported for the first time that melatonin has a protective role in P. sheareri seedlings under drought-stress conditions. This role is related to ROS scavenging, activation of antioxidant enzymes, and crosstalk of phytohormones. This study provided a theoretical basis for improving the ability of P. sheareri adapted to arid environments.

Glioma, is a representative type of intracranial tumor among adults, usually has a weak prognosis and limited treatment options. Traditional therapies, including surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy, have had little impact on patient survival time. Immunotherapies designed to target the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1)/programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1) signaling pathway have successfully treated various human cancers, informing the development of similar therapies for glioma. However, anti-PD-L1 response rates remain limited in glioma patients. Thus, exploring novel checkpoints targeting additional immunomodulatory pathways for activating durable antitumor immune responses and improving glioma outcomes is needed. Researchers have identified other B7 family checkpoint molecules, including PD-L2, B7-H2, B7-H3, B7-H4, and B7-H6. The current review article evaluates the expression of all 10 reported members of the B7 family in human glioma using The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and the Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx) data, as well as summarizes studies evaluating the clinical meanings and functions of B7 family molecules in gliomas. B7 family checkpoints may contribute to different immunotherapeutic management options for glioma patients.

Tongxie Yaofang (TXYF), a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with four components as follows: Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae (baizhu), Radix Paeoniae Alba (baishao), Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae (chenpi) and Radix Saposhnikovia Divaricata (fangfeng), benefits irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Nonetheless, proofs of this formula ameliorating D-IBS and T2DM are required. This research aimed at investigating the efficacy of TXYF in treating inflammation in rats with D-IBS and T2DM using animal models. In this study, gavage with high-fat diet, fasciculation, and senna was given to develop rat models with target diseases. To determine intestinal inflammations, major inflammatory factors, and intestinal permeability proteins, H&E staining, ELISA, and immunohistochemistry methods were employed, respectively. This study also utilized Western blot to discover potential inflammatory targets. Results of this research illustrates that TXYF treatment reduced the level of TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6, and raised the IL-10 concentration in liver-depressed spleende ficient rats with D-IBS and T2DM, indicating controlled inflammatory reactions. Staining analysis also showed improved disease states of animal models. Furthermore, efficient rebounds of claudin-1, an intestinal permeability-associated protein, were detected. Moreover, TXYF may treat D-IBS and T2DM in rats via the rage pathway.

Forkhead box (FOX) proteins are a wing-like helix family of transcription factors in the DNA-binding region. By mediating the activation and inhibition of transcription and interactions with all kinds of transcriptional co-regulators (MuvB complexes, STAT3, β-catenin, etc.), they play significant roles in carbohydrate and fat metabolism, biological aging and immune regulation, development, and diseases in mammals. Recent studies have focused on translating these essential findings into clinical applications in order to improve quality of life, investigating areas such as diabetes, inflammation, and pulmonary fibrosis, and increase human lifespan. Early studies have shown that forkhead box M1 (FOXM1) functions as a key gene in pathological processes in multiple diseases by regulating genes related to proliferation, the cell cycle, migration, and apoptosis and genes related to diagnosis, therapy, and injury repair. Although FOXM1 has long been studied in relation to human diseases, its role needs to be elaborated on. FOXM1 expression is involved in the development or repair of multiple diseases, including pulmonary fibrosis, pneumonia, diabetes, liver injury repair, adrenal lesions, vascular diseases, brain diseases, arthritis, myasthenia gravis, and psoriasis. The complex mechanisms involve multiple signaling pathways, such as WNT/β-catenin, STAT3/FOXM1/GLUT1, c-Myc/FOXM1, FOXM1/SIRT4/NF-κB, and FOXM1/SEMA3C/NRP2/Hedgehog. This paper reviews the key roles and functions of FOXM1 in kidney, vascular, lung, brain, bone, heart, skin, and blood vessel diseases to elucidate the role of FOXM1 in the development and progression of human non-malignant diseases and makes suggestions for further research.

NH3 emissions are an environmental issue that is of wide concern in livestock production. In intensive livestock farming, it is necessary to study outdoor ammonia concentrations under various conditions to maximize the protection of livestock caretakers’ health in and around the facilities. In this study, the ammonia concentrations outside smart broiler chambers in 60 scenarios, with conditions including 4 broiler chamber densities, 3 wind directions, and 5 outlet emission intensities, were simulated based on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) technology. The results show that (1) outdoor ammonia tends to accumulate near the outlet when the wind direction angle is small, while it has a wider range of influence when the angle is vertical; (2) building a smart broiler chamber cluster for intensive livestock farming is environmentally friendly; and (3) keeping the ammonia outlet perpendicular to the local dominant wind direction can effectively prevent high concentrations of ammonia around the chambers. In practical applications, the conclusions of this study can be used to arrange the layout and direction of smart broiler chamber clusters.

This article proposed a novel conflict decision model for intelligent vehicles based on game theory with analyzing the interaction behaviors between vehicles at urban unsignalized intersections. The proposed model can help intelligent vehicles cross intersections safely and more efficiently. Firstly, we developed an inference model for types of interactions among vehicles based on fuzzy logic. Then, the driving data was collected at urban unsignalized intersections by subgrade sensors and a retrofit intelligent vehicle and it was used in verifying the proposed inference model. After that, a conflict decision model considering safety, efficiency and comfort for intelligent vehicles based on game theory, was proposed to select the optimal driving strategies. Finally, a simulation and verification platform was built using Matlab/Simulink & Prescan. And the validity and effectiveness of the model were proved by simulation experiments. The results show the decision model can effectively help vehicles avoid conflicts and save their time spent in crossing intersections by 15 percent.

This paper proposes multi-frequency inertial and visual data fusion for attitude estimation. The proposed strategy is based on the locally weighted linear regression (LWLR), multi-layer perception (MLP), and cubature Kalman filter (CKF). First, we analyze the discrepant-frequency and the attitude divergence problems. Second, we construct the filter equation for the visual and inertial data and attitude differential equation for inertial-only data, which are used to estimate the attitude in time series. Third, we employ LWLR to compute the vision discrepancies between actual vision data and fitted vision data. The vision discrepancy is used as the input of MLP training. In MLP, the discrepancy is used as weights of the sums through the activation function of the hidden layer. To address the divergence problem, which is inherent in a multi-frequency fusion, the MLP is utilized to compensate for the inertial-only data. Finally, experimental results on different environments of pseudo-physical simulations show the superior performance of the proposed method in terms of the accuracy of attitude estimation and divergence capability.

Taxus is a famous medicinal and landscape tree species. The aim of this study was to explore the effect of exogenous nitric oxide (NO) on the resistance of Taxus plants to acid rain stress and to identify Taxus species with strong acid rain resistance by principal component analysis and comprehensive evaluation. In this study, sodium nitroprusside (SNP) was used as the exogenous NO donor. The effects of different SNP solution concentrations on the antioxidant systems of three Taxus species subjected to simulated acid rain stress (pH = 3.0) were compared. In order to achieve this goal, we determined the rate of O2- production, the ASA and GSH contents in leaves of three Taxus plants (Taxus mairei, Taxus chinensis, and Taxus yunnanensis). At the same time, the active leaves of some antioxidant enzymes (SOD, POD, CAT, APX and GR) were determined. For Taxus chinensis plants subjected to acid rain stress, treatment with an SNP concentration of 0.25 mmol·L-1 led to the most significant improvements in the antioxidant system. For Taxus mairei and Taxus yunnanensis, the treatment with the SNP concentration of 0.50 mmol·L-1 was best for improving their antioxidant systems under stress. Meanwhile, Taxus chinensis had the strongest resistance to simulated acid rain, followed by Taxus mairei and Taxus yunnanensis.

Background: Camrelizumab (SHR1210) is a high-affinity, humanized immunoglobulin programmed cell death 1 (PD-1) monoclonal antibody. It was developed by Jiangsu Hengrui Medicine Co. Ltd. and has been approved for relapsed or refractory classical Hodgkin lymphoma patients and hepatocellular carcinoma patients in China. Apatinib is an orally administered vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-2 (VEGFR-2) tyrosine kinase inhibitor and has been approved for advanced gastric adenocarcinoma or gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma in China. Camrelizumab alone and its combination with apatinib have been used in the treatment of various solid cancers.Methods: We searched Embase, PubMed, and other databases with the keyword “camrelizumab” or “SHR1210,” and evaluated the safety and efficacy data of the involved studies. Adverse events (AEs) mentioned in at least two studies were summarized, including any grade and grade ≥3 treatment-related AEs. Meanwhile, efficacy data were collected, such as overall response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR), duration of response, 6-month progression-free survival (PFS) rate, median PFS time, 12-month overall survival rate, and median overall survival time.Results: The major AEs of camrelizumab alone were reactive cutaneous capillary endothelial proliferation, fatigue, aspartate aminotransferase increase, proteinuria, pruritus, and alanine transaminase increase. The ORR and DCR were 20.2% (95% CI: 15.1–26.6%, p = 0.000, I2 = 70.360) and 45.8% (95% CI: 39.0–52.7%, p = 0.256, I2 = 58.661), respectively. In the three studies of combination therapy, two studies were combined with apatinib and one combined with chemotherapy. For these studies, common AEs were hypertension, platelet count decrease, nausea, proteinuria, aspartate aminotransferase increase, and white blood cell count decrease. The pooled ORR, DCR, and 6-month PFS rate were 41.8% (95% CI: 29.7–54.9%, p = 0.220, I2 = 86.265), 82.4% (95% CI: 75.9–87.4%, p = 0.000, I2 = 55.207), and 56.2% (95% CI: 35.8–74.6%, p = 0.559, I2 = 79.739), respectively.Conclusion: Camrelizumab and its combination are tolerable and appear to be efficient in treating numerous solid cancers. The combination therapy appears to have better efficacy with durable toxicity. However, these remain to be shown in future studies. Besides, baseline lactate dehydrogenase, programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression, tumor mutation burden, and the incidence of reactive cutaneous capillary endothelial proliferation may be efficacy predictors and need to be clarified in further studies.

Esophageal cancer (EC) is one of the most common cancers with poor survival in the world. Nowadays, a generous number of clinical trials are underway on the use of immunotherapy in EC patients, especially the programmed death-1/programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-1/PD-L1) inhibitors. However, only a few patients could benefit from single-agent therapy. Others need combination therapies to enhance the response rate and survival. In this review, we focus on PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors and its combination options in EC patients. We also summarized the potential predictive biomarkers for PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors treatment.

Based on analysis of the basic geologic characteristics and enrichment controlling factors of the high coal rank coalbed methane (CBM) in south Qinshui Basin in China, its enrichment mode, and exploration and development technologies are studied. Practices on the CBM exploration and development proved that the CBM reservoirs in this study area have the following three major properties: (1) High coal rank, strong adsorption ability, and good resources condition; (2) Low porosity, bimodal porosity structure, and obvious “bottleneck” of flow condition; (3) low reservoir pressure gradient that can constrain production. Based on deep analysis of high coal rank coal properties, this study proposes a coexistence and complementarity concept of structure, sedimentary, thermal power and hydro-geological conditions, and establishes a CBM dissipation model, which can simplify CBM enrichment problem and directly guide the region selection of CBM development. Five major critical technical systems have been formed for the CBM exploration and development in south Qinshui Basin: (1) Comprehensive geophyisical exploration and evaluation technologies; (2) Well drilling and completion technologies for high coal rank coal reservoirs; (3) Major reservoir treatment technologies; (4) Intelligent drainage and production control technologies; (5) Digital technology of coalbed methane field. These have effectively provided technical support for an orderly productivity construction of new CBM blocks. Coalbed methane (CBM) is of great economic value. However, at the same time, CBM is facing a multitude of technological challenges. The water blocking effect (WBE) is one of the physical effects that controls the production of CBM. To alleviation WBE, it is necessary to study its mechanisms at the molecular level. In this study, we used a combined first-principles calculation and molecular simulation approach to investigate the adsorption and diffusion of both methane and water in coal. The results suggest that water does not compete with methane in the adsorption on coal surfaces, yet the presence of water significantly slows down the diffusion of methane within the micropores of coal. This work not only explains the fundamental mechanisms of the WBE but also provides a simulation framework for building strategies to alleviate WBE.

The urban wind environment is an important element of urban microclimates and plays an important role in the quality of the urban environment. The computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation method is an important means for urban wind field research. However, CFD simulation has high requirements for computer hardware and software. In this paper, based on geographic information system (GIS) technology, a new building data generalization method was developed to solve the problems of a huge amount of data and calculations in urban-scale CFD wind field simulations. Using Fluent software and high-precision urban building geographic information data with elevation attributes, the method was applied to Jinjiang City, Fujian Province, China. A CFD simulation of the wind field of Jinjiang City was implemented, and detailed, intuitive wind field information was obtained, which were compared with the measured data. The results show that the building data generalization method could effectively improve the efficiency of the city's overall wind field CFD simulation. The simulated wind speed was significantly correlated with the measured data, but it was overestimated. The simulated wind direction was consistent with the measured data of most stations. The simulation results were reasonable and could provide reference for application and subsequent research.

Stroke is a chronic cerebrovascular disease that carries a high risk. Stroke risk assessment is of great significance in preventing, reversing and reducing the spread and the health hazards caused by stroke. Aiming to objectively predict and identify strokes, this paper proposes a new stroke risk assessment decision-making model named Logistic-AdaBoost (Logistic-AB) based on machine learning. First, the categorical boosting (CatBoost) method is used to perform feature selection for all features of stroke, and 8 main features are selected to form a new index evaluation system to predict the risk of stroke. Second, the borderline synthetic minority oversampling technique (SMOTE) algorithm is applied to transform the unbalanced stroke dataset into a balanced dataset. Finally, the stroke risk assessment decision-makingmodel Logistic-AB is constructed, and the overall prediction performance of this new model is evaluated by comparing it with ten other similar models. The comparison results show that the newmodel proposed in this paper performs better than the two single algorithms (logistic regression and AdaBoost) on the four indicators of recall, precision, F1 score, and accuracy, and the overall performance of the proposed model is better than that of common machine learning algorithms. Super-resolution image reconstruction (SRR) is an important task in remote sensing image (RSI) processing, which can serve the application fields, such as natural resources exploration and agricultural monitoring. Recently deep learning based methods achieved great success in RSI-SRR, making RSI-SRR more efficient and accurate. However, homogeneous low-resolution (LR) and high-resolution RSI pairs from the same sensor are often difficult to obtain, and the use of simulated image pairs makes it difficult to apply these methods in real scenarios. Some RSI-SRR methods attempt to reconstruct image resolution from heterogeneous RSIs. But these methods, on the one hand, are difficult to deal with large-scale RSI-SRR; and on the other hand, they do not take into account the domain differences of heterogeneous RSIs. To address the above challenges, this article proposes a scale-decoupling super-resolution network with domain transfer for heterogeneous RSIs (SDDT-SR). The SDDT-SR breaks down the large-scale SSR (x8) into two cascaded smaller-scale steps (x2, x4), progressively restoring spatial details of the images. Specifically, in SDDT-SR, an SR module with domain transfer (DTSR) is designed to transfer the LR image from a specific domain to another one, and an SR module with unpaired learning (ULSR) is designed to further up-sample the output of DTSR to the target resolution. Experiments on SGSRD and satellite-UAV heterogeneous image change detection dataset (HTCD) dataset show that SDDT-SR outperforms existing methods in both metrics and visualization, with the fréchet inception distance (FID) of 181.8679 on SGSRD and of 163.3831 on HTCD.

Abstract This study investigates the relationship of neutrophil–lymphocyte ratio (NLR) with the risk of all-cause and cardiovascular mortality in patients with cardiovascular disease. The data for this analysis came from 2239 participants with cardiovascular disease of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey conducted between 1999–2018. The optimal cutoff point for NLR was determined using maximally selected rank statistics. Survival analysis was performed using Cox regression models to assess the impact of NLR on the risk of all-cause mortality and cardiovascular mortality. Restricted cubic spline was used to visualize the association of NLR with mortality risk. Subgroup analysis was performed to examine the relationship between NLR and mortality within subgroups based on age, sex, diabetes and hypertension. During a median follow-up period of 6.7 (IQR, 3.3–10.9) years, 992 all-cause deaths occurred, including 381 cardiovascular deaths. Our study revealed that NLR is a risk factor for all-cause mortality (HR: 1.15 95%Cl: 1.11 ~ 1.19) and cardiovascular mortality (HR: 1.14 95%Cl: 1.08 ~ 1.2) among patients with cardiovascular disease.
