The geological characteristics of the Selyshchanskyi placer, which is the part of the Irshansk group of placers of the Volyn titanium-bearing district, are given. Productive ilmenite-bearing deposits are spatially limited to two local depressions of the paleovalley and form two separate deposits – Northern and Southern. Ore-bearing deposits are represented by alluvial Lower-Middle Quaternary and Middle Jurassic and Upper Cretaceous formations and ilmenite-enriched weathering crust, which is common only within the Northern deposit. The author’s method of contouring priority areas within Ti-Zr deposits based on the ArcGIS geoinformation system is presented. The proposed technique allows for a preliminary assessment of deposits and manifestations without additional drilling, which is economically beneficial. Based on the coordinates and description of the wells, as well as the test results, a database was created with a reference to the world coordinate system. Obtained cartographic constructions visually reflect the economic potential of the Selyshchanskyi placer, namely the distribution of the vertical stock of ilmenite and the integral index. The vertical stock of ilmenite is a value that characterizes its amount in a vertical cross-section, which corresponds to 1 m2 of the deposit area and a height corresponding to the thickness of the productive stratum. This parameter determines the total reserves of the deposit. The integral index is calculated as the difference between the conditional cost of ilmenite concentrate and the costs of performing excavation works and processing the productive layer. The conducted research made it possible to outline the priority area for development, located in the northwestern part of the placer, within the limits of the Northern deposit, which in today’s realities can be profitable.

BACKGROUND: Migraine is a chronic neurovascular disease with high incidence rate and medical-social significance. Despite more than half a century of studying the disease, the pathogenesis of migraine is not yet completely clear. The results of separate research works demonstrate the inter-relation of migraine with the presence of patent foramen ovale and circulation shunting from the right side to the left one. AIM: Detailing the incidence rates and the clinical characteristics of migraine, as well as the effects of endovascular installation of the occluding device into the patent foramen ovale in terms of migraine course in a cohort of patients that had an ischemic stroke episode according to the mechanism of paradoxical embolism due to having a functionally significant patent foramen ovale. METHODS: The examined population included 97 patients aged from 18 to 50 years old (mean age 32.29±2.19 years; 70.8% females), undergoing examination procedures at the Research Center of Neurology from January 2018 until October 2023. All the patients previously had an ischemic stroke that had involved the mechanism of paradoxical embolism, associated with the presence of patent foramen ovale and high functional significance shunting. All the patients underwent an assessment of their conditions associated with the presence of a patent foramen ovale — migraine with or without aura, other procedures included the detailing of headache characteristics and of the effects of migraine on social adaptation. The endovascular intervention was performed in 61 patients. Dynamic follow-up data were obtained for 36 patients, of which 24 migraine patients had an assessment of headache characteristics before and after the foramen ovale closure. RESULTS: Within the cohort of patients with patent foramen ovale accompanied with functionally significant shunting and with a previous episode of ischemic stroke, the incidence of migraine was 39.2% (no aura — 21 patients or 55%; with aura — 17, or 45%), while the proportions of women and men being 1.9:1. The rate of headache attacks was 4 [1; 7] days per month. In 6 months after the installation of the foramen ovale occluder, migraine patients were showing a significant decrease in the rate of headache onsets from 4 [2; 24] to 2 [1; 5] days a month (р=0.009); a decrease was reported for pain intensity from 7 [7; 9] to 3 [3; 7] points of the visual analogue scale for pain (р=0.0001) along with a decrease in the degree of migraine affecting the patients’ everyday activity from 20 [6; 89] to 17 [2; 26] points (р=0.019) of the MIDAS questionnaire. CONCLUSION: The present research has confirmed the high incidence found in a cohort of patients with patent foramen ovale. Installation of the occluder resulted in a decrease in the rate and intensity of headache along with a decrease of migraine affecting the social adaptation. The research limitations were a small number of patients and the absence of data on the residual shunting circulation.

A convenient method for the synthesis of a series of 2-(arylamino)-3H-phenoxazin-3-ones based on the nucleophilic substitution reaction between sterically crowded 3H-phenoxazin-3-one and arylamines performed by short-term heating of the melted reactants at 220–250 °C is described, and the compounds were characterized by means of single-crystal X-ray crystallography, NMR, UV–vis, and IR spectroscopy, as well as cyclic voltammetry. The reaction with o-amino-, o-hydroxy-, and o-mercapto-substituted arylamines widened the scope and provided an access to derivatives of N,O- and N,S-heteropentacyclic quinoxalinophenoxazine, triphenodioxazine and oxazinophenothiazine systems.

Abstract Background The importance of environmental contamination in the transmission of pathogens among hospitalized patients is universally recognized, and disinfection of surfaces is a widely accepted modality for reducing healthcare-associated infections. Nevertheless, hospital disinfection is still suboptimal. In this study, we evaluated the sustained effects of the novel formulation OxiLast™ which extends the antimicrobial effects of chlorine-based disinfectants. Methods In an experimental lab phase, PVC surfaces were coated with OxiLast™ and then inoculated with representative Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogenic bacteria. Cells were recovered at different contact times (5, 15, 30 min) to assess the reduction in bacterial counts compared to uncoated surfaces and also subject to various challenges to assess robustness. A similar methodology was then applied in an unoccupied hospital room to evaluate the sustained effect of OxiLast™ on high-touch surfaces. Results OxiLast™ demonstrated notable activity against the range of bacterial strains tested with ≥ 4 log10 reduction in bacterial counts observed for up to seven days following one surface application, for various strains and contact times. Similar results were observed following challenges such as simulated abrasion of coated surfaces, organic contamination or successive inoculations. The results were confirmed in a simulated patient care environment. Conclusions The addition of OxiLast™ to common chlorine-based disinfectants has shown a substantial and sustained reduction in bacterial pathogen counts for up to 7 days following one application. The consistent results in the laboratory and hospital are promising and should be tested in a real-life clinical scenario.

It examines how integrating these forms of tourism into educational frameworks can deepen students' understanding of their national heritage, encompassing both cultural and natural dimensions, and promote a stronger connection to their cultural and environmental surroundings. The authors employ a comprehensive literature review alongside case studies of successful cultural and eco-tourism initiatives, utilizing statistical methods to analyze survey data. The findings suggest that cultural tourism, enriched with ecological elements, significantly enhances youth engagement with cultural landmarks and natural landscapes. The study concludes that incorporating cultural and eco-tourism into educational programs offers a valuable approach for fostering an informed and culturally aware generation. By promoting a holistic connection to cultural heritage and natural environments, this approach supports the development of environmentally responsible and heritage-conscious individuals. The article is devoted to the problem of creating conditions for the application of lean technologies in the university of arts and culture, the need to create prerequisites in a higher educational institution for the preparation of favorable soil, which will allow the effective use of lean technologies. The importance of using lean technologies as an innovative way of developing higher education is considered. The authors reflect on a rethinking of approaches to educational activity, the use of design methods and lean manufacturing in relation to the processes of a creative university. The methods of analysis and synthesis were used in the work, the key, in the opinion of the authors, conditions necessary for the formation and development of the concept of lean manufacturing in a higher educational institution were determined, supported by examples of projects implemented on the basis of the Belgorod State Institute of Arts and Culture.

Aim. To compare the effect of 12-month pharmacotherapy with a betablocker (BB) (bisoprolol and nebivolol) and a combination of BB with a mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist (bisoprolol+eplerenone, nebivolol+eplerenone) on following fibrosis markers: matrix metalloproteinases 1 and 9 (MMP-1, MMP-9) and tissue inhibitor of MMP-1 (TIMP-1) in patients with heart failure with mid-range ejection fraction (HFmrEF) of ischemic origin.Material and methods. The study included 135 patients, including 40 (29,6%) women and 95 (70,4%) men aged 45-60 years (mean age, 53,1±5,7 years). Patients were randomized into subgroups based on pharmacotherapy with BB (bisoprolol or nebivolol) and their combination with eplerenone. The paper presents the research results on the properties of the pulp coniferous and deciduous wood composition in its original state and paper made from it, proposes a mechanism to increase the waterfast and waterproof food packaging paper by surface treatment with a composition based on polyamidepichlorohydrin with polyvinyl alcohol and urea. The study was conducted in order to ensure an increase in the consumer properties of packaging paper, since when packaging materials encounter food products, their structure can change under the influence of moisture, steam, and gas. Polyamidaminepichlorohydrin was used as the main component of the composition for paper processing, as functional additives: polyvinyl alcohol and urea. The above-mentioned starting materials are environmentally friendly, since foreign inclusions in food packaging materials would pose a serious danger to human health and life, as well as to the brand image of the product in which they would be detected. It was proved that high waterfastness and waterproofness, as well as the necessary level of barrier, protective and operational properties of packaging material for food products cannot always be obtained by introducing a significant amount of polyamidaminepichlorohydrin, so the paper investigated the mechanism of interacting cellulose fibers of paper with polyamidaminepichlorohydrin, and also proved the possibility of its use to obtain packaging paper with a given set of properties. It was found that the consumption of up to 4–6% polyamidaminepichlorohydrin provides the main increase in the mechanical strength of packaging paper, both in wet and dry conditions. The resulting waterfast and waterproof material can be used for food packaging.

У статті розглянуто особливості побудови податкових систем в Україні та в зарубіжних країнах. Досліджено питому вагу податкових платежів у структурі валового внутрішнього продукту країн ЄС, США, Японії та України Розглянуто сутність основних податків: податок на додану вартість, податок на доходи фізичних осіб, податок на прибуток підприємств тощо. Проаналізовані максимальні ставки податків в Україні та в інших країнах. Доведено, що основне завдання при формуванні податкових систем полягає в оптимізації потреб у податкових надходженнях із можливостями їхнього отримання. Охарактеризовано принцип простоти адміністрування, який полягає в мінімізації витрат на сплату податків, простоті їх нарахування, зменшення часу на їх контроль. Наведені особливості принципу соціальної направленості податкової системи спрямованого на вирішення соціальних проблем. Зроблено оцінку податкового тиску в Україні і інших країнах світу. Проаналізовано загальну кількість податків в різних країнах. Виявлено, що в Україні на відміну від зарубіжних країн, в структурі податкових надходжень переважають непрямі податки. Досліджено позитивні та негативні характеристики податкової системи України. Виявлено, що податкові системи різних країн складалися під впливом різних економічних, політичних та соціальних умов Висвітлено фундаментальні принципи оптимальної податкової системи. Виявлено, що існує два підходи до оподаткування доходів: пряма і прогресивна система оподаткування. Пряма шкала оподаткування не відповідає принципу соціальної рівності, оскільки малозабезпечені та заможні верстви населення сплачують у бюджет однаковий відсоток свого доходу Прогресивна система оподаткування застосовується в провідних країнах світу. Доведено: в Україні оптимальна кількість податків на фоні країн ЄС, що свідчить про умовну легкість їх адміністрування. В нашій країні переважну частину надходжень до бюджету складають непрямі податки, тобто податки, що сплачуються кінцевим споживачем. Доведено, що процес отримання податків треба організувати таким чином, аби він більшою мірою сприяв реалізації політики кон’юнктури та зайнятості шляхом накопичення фінансових ресурсів. Виявлено напрями підвищення ефективності податкових систем. Зроблено висновки, що податкова система України є проблемною.

The progressive accumulation and spread of misfolded tau protein in the nervous system is the hallmark of tauopathies, progressive neurodegenerative diseases with only symptomatic treatments available. A growing body of evidence suggests that spreading of tau pathology can occur via cell-to-cell transfer involving secretion and internalization of pathological forms of tau protein followed by templated misfolding of normal tau in recipient cells. Several studies have addressed the cell biological mechanisms of tau secretion. It now appears that instead of a single mechanism, cells can secrete tau via three coexisting pathways: (1) translocation through the plasma membrane; (2) membranous organelles-based secretion; and (3) ectosomal shedding. The relative importance of these pathways in the secretion of normal and pathological tau is still elusive, though. Moreover, glial cells contribute to tau propagation, and the involvement of different cell types, as well as different secretion pathways, complicates the understanding of prion-like propagation of tauopathy. One of the important regulators of tau secretion in neuronal activity, but its mechanistic connection to tau secretion remains unclear and may involve all three secretion pathways of tau. This review article summarizes recent advancements in the field of tau secretion with an emphasis on cell biological aspects of the secretion process and discusses the role of neuronal activity and glial cells in the spread of pathological forms of tau.

Currently, new varieties are subject to strict requirements for adaptability, productivity, commercial and consumer qualities of fruits. In this regard, it is important to study the interaction of the genotype of apple tree varieties and forms with climatic conditions, and it is also necessary to assess the genotypic variability of economically valuable traits focused on identifying genotypes characterized by stability of fruit quality in growing conditions. The study examined 12 varieties and forms of apple tree, selected by the Orenburg branch of the FGBNU FNTs of Horticulture. The following signs were studied: useful ovary (%), number of fruits (pcs.), average fruit weight (g), productivity (kg/d), sugar content in fruits, soluble solids, ascorbic acid, determination of titrable acidity. The study used mathematical models of two-factor variance and cluster analysis by the Ward method.
