Despite borrower disloyalty being a concern, path decisions must still be analysed. Using the switching path analysis technique, this study analysed the triggers, determinants, and consequences of borrower switching. A non-probability sampling method was employed for this analysis. Specifically, snowball sampling was used to collect data because of limited access to Indonesian peer-to-peer lending (P2P) borrowers in borrower lending groups. Snowball sampling was used to recruit more P2P lending borrowers in Indonesia. The sampling method included 31 participants. The findings revealed the following: (1) triggers (situational, influential, and reactional); (2) switching determinants (push, pull, and swayer); and (3) consequences of switching (ir-path or re-path). This study contributes to the service literature by providing a sequential process lens to address how borrowers switch or stop with one P2P lending provider. The findings provide practitioners with data that will allow them to learn how borrowers switch and prevent them from switching.

Financial inclusion has emerged as a key factor in economic growth and the fight against poverty on a global scale. In order to understand the current state of financial inclusion in India, this research paper examines both the accomplishments to date and the ongoing difficulties. Although India has made tremendous progress in improving its citizens' financial access, there are still enormous obstacles to be addressed before complete financial inclusion can be achieved. The study looks at the major programmes, policy measures, and technology advancements that have impacted India's financial inclusion landscape. In order to bridge the existing gaps and further promote financial inclusion, it also addresses the remaining impediments and offers suggestions for policymakers, financial institutions, and other stakeholders. Le risque de crédit et sa gestion représentent une question préoccupante et de survie pour la majorité des institutions financières. Cette étude vise à évaluer les facteurs déterminants du risque de crédit en mettant en relation les ratios financiers et le risque de crédit mesuré par le portefeuille à risque. L’analyse a porté sur une approche quantitative déclinée autour de 12 ISFDs opérant au Sud-Kivu pour une période allant de 2011 à 2020. Les résultats de la régression des données de panel montrent que sur les 12 variables mobilisées pour mesurer l’impact du risque de crédit sur la santé des ISFDs, quatre ont présenté un effet significatif sur le portefeuille à risque. Il s’agit d’une part, des ratios de financement des immobilisations et de liquidité à long terme qui ont présenté un effet positif et significatif au seuil de 5% et du ratio de capitalisation qui a un effet positif et significatif au seuil de 1%. D’autre part, l’autosuffisance opérationnelle présente un effet négatif et significatif au seuil de 1%. Les résultats ont permis de conclure, par ailleurs, que d’autres variables ont une influence non significative sur le portefeuille à risque. Et qu’il est possible de proposer quelques mécanismes de réduction du taux élevé de risque lié au portefeuille de crédit.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) created Small Finance Banks (SFBs) in 2015 to encourage financial inclusion and offer banking services to underserved populations. Small business units, micro- and small businesses, farmers, and low-income households are just a few examples of the unbanked and underbanked groups of the population that SFBs primarily target with basic banking services. SFBs are nevertheless vulnerable to non-performing assets (NPAs), which can arise for a number of causes, just like other banks. SFBs use a variety of strategies, such as effectiv credit appraisal and monitoring, quick recovery actions, loan restructuring, and legal action against defaulters, to manage and reduce their NPA levels. Microfinancing has been targeted as a tool to address Poverty through the provision of credit to the poor and marginalised economic functions. However, the main objective upon which these institutions are founded is yet to manifest primarily in developing economies. This study examined the role of microfinancing in poverty alleviation by employing a Vector Error Correction Model on quarterly time-series data. The results reveal a significant long-run relationship among the variables poverty, microfinancing, SMEs, and agricultural growth. Contrary to expectations, Microfinancing was found to increase poverty in the long run. SMEs and agricultural development were found to reduce the level of poverty in the long run. In the short run, regression results reveal that SMEs' growth alleviates poverty, and poverty increases the growth of microfinance loans in the country. The increase in SMEs is a tool for alleviating poverty, and the growth in microfinance institutions is also being driven by poverty. This suggests that continued improper microfinancing can escalate the poverty levels to undesired heights. The findings imply that the growth of microfinance loans is not being put to its intended and efficient use. These findings bring to the fore that it is not only the provision of funds that matters. Despite the growth of Islamic banking and finance, in recent times due attention were given to the issue of Islamic microfinance. It is so because, as per various estimates over two billion people across globe are still living in a miserable poverty which is a global challenge and India not being an exception. While awareness of the benefits of cooperatives has begun to grow in the community, there are about 30% cooperatives that are either not active or deficient in the performance. This condition impacts to the value of the firm. This study aims to determine the relationship between cooperative business performance and the value of the firm. This study used descriptive research methods, with data collected from a sample size of 39 sharia savings and loan cooperatives in West Java. The results of this research show that the performance of sharia savings and loan cooperatives in West Java is still in the moderate category with an average score of 61.16, where the factor of productive asset quality is the most influential factor in the business performance of cooperatives (49.3%). Value of firm cooperatives in West Java is still showing poor performance, where the average Return of Asset was 6.7%. The performance of business cooperatives' influence on the value of the firm is 36%. Based on the result it is obligated to perform guidance from the relevant agencies so that the level of risk in the management of cooperatives, especially those related to the quality of earning assets is increased, the efficiency of cooperatives especially those related to business costs need to be managed well so that financial performance can be improved. Despite the many advantages that mobile money offers to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) relative to traditional banking services, the majority of stakeholders of this platform have not yet maximised its use owing to several concerns not limited to trust, awareness, and even cost. To examine the factors justifying the adoption and usage of Mobile Money Services (MMS) among SMEs, the types of Mobile Money Services used by these SMEs, and the interdependences between these variables, this study adopted an exploratory approach. The researchers elected to use a mixed-method approach, which necessitated the usage of a survey questionnaire and structured in-depth interviews. Representatives of 12 SMEs were interviewed during the qualitative phase to corroborate the 285 SMEs surveyed in the quantitative part of the study. Descriptive and inferential statistics were adopted to analyse the quantitative data using the Statistical Packages for Social Sciences version 26 (SPSS version 26). The researchers described the qualitative data according to themes, and the findings were combined after that. While no single factor was accountable, it emerged that accessibility, safety, and convenience were the main factors that entice SMEs in Douala, Cameroon to embrace mobile money services in the effort to receive money from clienteles, pay suppliers, and purchase airtime for additional transactions (most preferred mobile money services). Furthermore, it was found that there was a statistically significant association between most of the motivating factors cited and the most preferred mobile money services used by SMEs in Douala. These findings validate the role that mobile money plays in promoting the inclusive finance agenda for SMEs, mainly in the context of emerging economies where the majority of people and businesses do not have access to banking services and therefore may be of interest to policymakers and different stakeholders. Although the roles of women have evolved with the urbanizing world, conventional house designs have failed to accommodate the spatial needs of the contemporary woman. The majority of houses in Pakistani cities are owned, designed, and constructed by the male head of the family. After surveying forty houses in Lahore, it was revealed that there are issues of hygiene and privacy for women, who are usually ignored in the process of building homes. This is the case despite the fact that they are the primary users, who spend most of their time at home, either as housewives and/or as entrepreneurs running a business from home. Presently, there are numerous NGOs in Pakistan working towards women entrepreneurship but there is a disconnect between entrepreneurship, Islamic traditional values and empowerment.
