The best and most cost-effective treatment for end-stage renal disease patients is living donor (LD) renal transplantation. It has survival benefit compared to deceased donor (DD) kidney transplant (DDKT) and long-term dialysis and provides a better quality of life. Efficient and effective kidney allocation methods are increasingly necessary to address the problem of organ scarcity. The use of kidney paired donation transplant has increased access to LD kidney transplantation (LDKT) with outstanding results. ABO-incompatible kidney transplantation (KT) and desensitization protocol can expand the donor pool, but as integral to any aggressive immunosuppression protocol, they are associated with increased risk of infection and malignancy. Given the widespread organ shortage, DDKT from donors with sepsis, donors who died from snakebite or acute kidney injury, controlled donation after cardiac death, older donors, can be considered for KT with an acceptable outcome. The acceptable outcome can be achieved with dual KT using kidneys from expanded criteria donors in older population. Dual KT from pediatric donors to adult recipients or from adult marginal DDs is a promising way to expand the donor pool. Carefully selected donor with HIV, HCV, and HBV positivity is not a contraindication for living kidney donation. Careful and meticulous selection of patient and donor is essential for successful outcome. Affordable or free transplantation is other way to increase transplantation rate in developing country. The community support can make transplantation available free to the poor patients under community-government partnership. Various steps should be taken to promote LDKT and DDKT program.

The study of the superconducting state parameters (SSP) viz. electron–phonon coupling strength λ, Coulomb pseudopotential μ*, transition temperature T C , isotope effect exponent α and effective interaction strength N0V of In-based binary alloys In 1-x Na x, In 1-x Mg x, In 1-x Zn x, In 1-x Tl x, In 1-x Sn x, In 1-x Pb x and In 1-x Bi x have been made extensively in the present work using a model potential. To explain electron–ion interaction pseudo-alloy-atom (PAA) model is applied for the first time instead of Vegard's Law. A considerable influence of various exchange and correlation functions on λ and μ* is found from the present study. It is also concluded that T C strongly depends on the value of the effective valence Z* of binary alloys.

Detailed theoretical investigations into asphericity in the Fermi surface (FS) and Fermi energy (FE) of , and binary solid solutions are carried out for the first time. The alloying behavior of the K, Rb, and Cs with the Na generates the Fermi surface distortion (FSD) of bcc simple metals. The FS of Na–K, Na–Rb, and Na–Cs solid solution is a distorted sphere with the largest deviation along [110]. We have found that the impact of local-field correction function on FSD is maximum at [100] point and minimum at [111] point. The exchange and correlation effect is found to suppress the value of FE.

Our well-recognized pseudopotential is used to investigate the superconducting state parameters viz: electron-phonon coupling strength λ. Coulomb pseudopotential μ*, transition temperature T c, isotope effective exponent α and interaction strength N 0 V for the In1−x Zn x and In1−x Sn x binary alloys. We have incorporated six different types of local field correction functions, proposed by Hartree, Taylor, Vashistha-Singwi, Ichimaru-Utsumi, Farid et al and Sarkar et al to show the effect of exchange and correlation on the aforesaid properties. Very strong influence of the various exchange and correlation functions is concluded from the present study. The comparison with other such theoretical values is encouraging, which confirms the applicability of our model potential in explaining the superconducting state parameters of binary mixture.

Systematic theoretical investigation of the Fermi energy (FE) and the Fermi surface distortion (FSD) of Cs0.7Rb0.3, Cs0.3Rb0.7, Cs0.7K0.3, Cs0.3K0.7, Rb0.71K0.29 and Rb0.3K0.7 disordered alloys have been reported for the first time by using the pseudo-alloy-atom model. A local pseudopotential consisting of a Coulombic term outside the core and varying cancellation of interaction within the core is proposed to describe the electron–ion interaction in each of these systems. The influence of various local-field correction functions on the aforesaid properties is 64–93%. The distortion of the Fermi surface (FS) along major symmetry directions obeys the metallic behavior. For the Cs1−xRbx and Cs1−xKx systems, the FSD along the zone boundaries increases with the atomic volume. For Rb1−xKx, a reverse trend is observed. The maximum anisotropy in the FS for the six binaries is observed at the [1 1 0] point.

The theoretical investigation of thermodynamic properties like internal energy, entropy, Helmholtz free energy, heat of mixing (ΔE) and entropy of mixing (ΔS) of liquid alkali metals and their binary alloys are reported in the present paper. The effect of concentration on the thermodynamic properties of Ac1Bc2 alloy of the alkali‐alkali elements is investigated and reported for the first time using our well established local pseudopotential. To investigate influence of exchange and correlation effects, we have used five different local field correction functions viz; Hartree(H), Taylor(T), Ichimaru and Utsumi(IU), Farid et al. (F) and Sarkar et al. (S). The increase of concentration C2, increases the internal energy and Helmholtz free energy of liquid alloy Ac1Bc2. The behavior of present computation is not showing any abnormality in the outcome and hence confirms the applicability of our model potential in explaining the thermodynamics of liquid binary alloys.

The study of dynamical variables: velocity auto correlation function Ψ(t), power spectrum g(ω) and mean square displacement of liquid lithium (Li) and its binary alloys Li1−xBx (B = Na, K, Rb and Cs) will be presented based on static harmonic well approximation. The effective interaction for the liquids is computed by our well established local pseudopotential. The negative dip in velocity auto correlation function of Li1−xBx falls between the negative dips of pure components. As x increases, the time t at which velocity auto correlation function reaches to its first zero also increases. In the equiatomic liquids of Li1−xBx, the LiCs has shortest memory. For power spectrum power spectrum, as x increases, the peak of power spectrum shifts towards lower ω. In the study of mean square displacement as concentration of other alkalis increases in the Li1−xBx, the slope of the linear growth region decreases, showing the sensitivity of diffusive process.
