Detecting and controlling the chirality of materials play an essential role in exploring nature, providing new avenues for material creation, discrimination, and manipulation. In such tasks, chiral reagents are essential in defining or enhancing the chiral dichroism response. However, ignoring their influences on the symmetry of the medium hamper the ability to control and induce asymmetric synthesis. Here, we propose a simple but versatile chirality transfer method for synthesizing and manipulating the chirality of medium. The proposed method induces the dispersion of light in a neutral atomic system, allowing to deterministically and tunably control the chirality transfer using a helical field. First, we theoretically analyze the mechanism for this optically induced chirality transfer. Afterwards, we experimentally study the enantio-sensitive feature of the medium exposed to the auxiliary chiral field. This result can be suppressed or enhanced in a deterministic enantio-selection, opening up an efficient way to manipulate asymmetric synthesis., Comment: 16 pages, 6 figures

Efficient and tunable qubit unidirectional routers and spin-wave diodes play an important role in both classical and quantum information processing domains. Here, we reveal that multi-level neutral cold atoms can mediate both dissipative and coherent couplings. Interestingly, we investigate and practically implement this paradigm in experiments, successfully synthesizing a system with dual functionality as both a photonic qubit unidirectional router and a spin-wave diode. By manipulating the helicity of the field, we can effectively balance the coherence coupling and dissipative channel, thereby ensuring the unidirectional transfer of photonic qubits. The qubit fidelity exceeds 97.49%, and the isolation ratio achieves $16.8\pm0.11$ dB while the insertion loss is lower than 0.36 dB. Furthermore, we show that the spin-wave diode can effectively achieve unidirectional information transfer by appropriately setting the coherent coupling parameters. Readily editable mesh blendshapes have been widely used in animation pipelines, while recent advancements in neural geometry and appearance representations have enabled high-quality inverse rendering. Building upon these observations, we introduce a novel technique that reconstructs mesh-based blendshape rigs from single or sparse multi-view videos, leveraging state-of-the-art neural inverse rendering. We begin by constructing a deformation representation that parameterizes vertex displacements into differential coordinates with tetrahedral connections, allowing for high-quality vertex deformation on high-resolution meshes. By constructing a set of semantic regulations in this representation, we achieve joint optimization of blendshapes and expression coefficients. Furthermore, to enable a user-friendly multi-view setup with unsynchronized cameras, we propose a neural regressor to model time-varying motion parameters. This approach implicitly considers the time difference across multiple cameras, enhancing the accuracy of motion modeling. Experiments demonstrate that, with the flexible input of single or sparse multi-view videos, we reconstruct personalized high-fidelity blendshapes. These blendshapes are both geometrically and semantically accurate, and they are compatible with industrial animation pipelines. Inherent spin angular momentum (SAM) and orbital angular momentum (OAM) which manifest as polarization and spatial degrees of freedom (DOF) of photons, hold a promise of large capability for applications in classical and quantum information processing. To enable these photonic spin and orbital dynamic properties strongly coupled with each other, Poincar\'{e} states have been proposed and offer advantages in data multiplexing, information encryption, precision metrology, and quantum memory. However, since the transverse size of Laguerre Gaussian beams strongly depends on their topological charge numbers $\left| l \right|$, it is difficult to store asymmetric Poincar\'{e} states due to the significantly different light-matter interaction for distinct spatial modes. Here, we experimentally realize the storage of perfect Poincar\'{e} states with arbitrary OAM quanta using the perfect optical vortex, in which 121 arbitrarily-selected perfect Poincar\'{e} states have been stored with high fidelity. The reported work has great prospects in optical communication and quantum networks for dramatically increased encoding flexibility of information.

Building an efficient quantum memory in high-dimensional Hilbert spaces is one of the fundamental requirements for establishing high-dimensional quantum repeaters, where it offers many advantages over two-dimensional quantum systems, such as a larger information capacity and enhanced noise resilience. To date, there have been no reports about how to achieve an efficient high-dimensional quantum memory. Here, we experimentally realize a quantum memory that is operational in Hilbert spaces of up to 25 dimensions with a storage efficiency of close to 60%. The proposed approach exploits the spatial-mode-independent interaction between atoms and photons which are encoded in transverse size-invariant orbital angular momentum modes. In particular, our memory features uniform storage efficiency and low cross-talk disturbance for 25 individual spatial modes of photons, thus allowing storing arbitrary qudit states programmed from 25 eigenstates within the high-dimensional Hilbert spaces, and eventually contributing to the storage of a 25-dimensional qudit state. These results would have great prospects for the implementation of long-distance high-dimensional quantum networks and quantum information processing.

We systematically investigated the low-temperature transport properties of a series of NbN epitaxial films with thickness $t$ ranging from $\sim$2.0 to $\sim$4.0 nm. The films undergo a superconductor-insulator transition (SIT) with decreasing film thickness, and the critical sheet resistance for the SIT is close to the quantum resistance of Cooper pairs $h/4e^2$ (6.45 k$\Omega$). Besides the Berezinski-Koterlitz-Thouless transition, a magnetic-field-driven SIT is observed in those two-dimensional (2D) superconducting films (2.6 nm $\lesssim t \lesssim 4.0$ nm). Interestingly, it is found that the low-temperature magnetoresistance isotherms do not cross at a single fixed point but at a well-distinguished region for these superconducting films. The dynamical critical exponent obtained by analyzing these magnetoresistance isotherms is divergent as the quantum critical point is being approached. The behavior of the dynamical critical exponent, originating from quenched disorder at ultralow temperatures, provides direct evidence for the occurrence of quantum Griffiths singularity in the quantum phase transition process of the films. The field-driven anomalous metal (quantum metal) state does not appear in these films. Our results suggest that the quantum Griffiths singularity not only occurs in the highly crystalline 2D superconductors with superconductor-metal transition but also in those with SIT., Comment: 8 pages and 7 figures

Quantum memories are indispensible for establishing a long-distance quantum network. High-dimensional quantum memories enable a higher channel capacity compared to a quantum memory working in a two-dimensional space, and have a lower requirement for storage lifetime in the field of quantum coomunication. The photonic transverse spatial modes such as Laguerra-Gaussian modes orbital angular momentum (OAM) are ideal candidates for encoding high-dimensional information, because it can form an infinite-dimensional Hilbert space. Although the faithful storage of an OAM qubit or qutrit has been realized in pioneering works, the longest storage lifetime for the former is only in the order of a few microseconds, and hundreds of nano-seconds for the latter. Here we implement a quantum memory for OAM qubits and qutrits using a cold atomic ensemble, the experimental results clearly show that our memory can still beat the classical limit after a storage time of $400\mu s$,which is two orders of magnitude higher than the previous work. The retrieval efficiency at this time equals to $44\%$ of the value when the storage time is set to be $10\mu s$. Our work is very promising for establishing a high dimensional quantum network.
