3. A Sui Generis QA Approach using RoBERTa for Adverse Drug Event Identification

Abstract

Extraction of adverse drug events from biomedical literature and other textual data is an important component to monitor drug-safety and this has attracted attention of many researchers in healthcare. Existing works are more pivoted around entity-relation extraction using bidirectional long short term memory networks (Bi-LSTM) which does not attain the best feature representations. In this paper, we introduce a question answering framework that exploits the robustness, masking and dynamic attention capabilities of RoBERTa by a technique of domain adaptation and attempt to overcome the aforementioned limitations. Our model outperforms the prior work by 9.53% F1-Score.

12. YOLO: A way to identify gemstone and predict its relevant finger to wear.

Abstract

It is essential to have happiness in life and if this happiness is due to everything related to us, then it becomes even more vital for us. We all humans do not want to see our happiness ever going away from us, no matter how much money has to be spent on it. According to the survey, many people in our society still believe in gemology and astrology and this research paper is more helpful for such types of people who are very curious to wear gems to get rid of problems in their life on their finger. The objective of this research paper is to provide the optimal solution to society for self-recognizing the gemstone itself by their live camera so they can know where it has to be worn. The proposed model is based on a deep neural network, the YOLO v5 model, which can identify the gemstone based on automatic feature extraction within a fraction of a second. The proposed model is 99% confident and ready to predict the relevant finger and its hand to wear the detected gemstone. It is hoped that this research will be successful in removing the problems related to identifying the gemstones for middle-class people and will prevent people from going to a gemologist every day. 18. Contribution of self-help groups in addressing several development issues in India: a systematic review of literature

Abstract

Microfinance is widely accepted as an important tool for alleviating poverty. Self-help group (SHG) programme has emerged as the primary source of microfinance that deals with a wide range of issues impacting poor society. This paper seeks to identify the role of SHGs in various aspects of development, such as women's empowerment, poverty alleviation, socio-economic development, rural development, and entrepreneurial development, etc. A total of 140 studies during the time frame of 1992-2021 have been finalised through PRISMA (2020) framework for systematically screening the records for measuring contribution of SHGs. The trend analysis of a number of publications showed that the concept of 'SHGs' is gaining importance and popularity as it was highly researched in 2020 and 2021. An additional impression of the current study is that a research gap in literature has been found which will help the researchers in carrying out further research.

Abstract

Paleogeography is the merger of sediment and volcanic facies, depositional settings, tectonic plate movements, topography, climate patterns and ecosystems through time. The construction of paleogeographic maps on tectonic plate reconstruction models requires a team effort to compile databases, data sharing standards and map projection methods. Two goals of the Paleogeography Working Group of the International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS) program for Deep‐Time Digital Earth (DDE) are: (1) to interlink online national lexicons for all sedimentary and volcanic formations, and develop online ones for nations that currently lack these; (2) to target specific regions and intervals for testing/showcasing paleogeography output from the merger of these databases. Following those goals, we developed and applied new cloud‐based lexicon data services and interactive visualization techniques to regions in East Asia. This has been a successful collaboration among computer engineers and plate modellers and has involved stratigraphers in India (ONGC), China (Chengdu Univ. Tech., and Chinese Acad. Geol. Sci.), United States (Paleomap Project, and Purdue Univ.), Australia (GPlates visualization team) and Vietnam (Vietnam Nat. Univ.). Independent online lexicons with map‐based and stratigraphy‐based user interfaces have been developed (as of the date of this submission in March 2022) for all Proterozoic to Quaternary formations on the Indian Plate (over 800) and Vietnam (over 200), the majority of the Devonian through Neogene of China (ca. 2000) and partially for Thailand. A multi‐database search system returns all geologic formations of a desired geologic time from these four independent databases. With one click, users can plot the regional extent of one or of all of those regional formations on different plate reconstruction models of that desired age, and these polygons are filled with the lithologic facies pattern. 35. Does Financial Inclusion Matter for the Socioeconomic Development of Marginalized People? Evidence from India

Abstract

This research examines the drivers of financial inclusion in the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) scheme. Also, it investigates the influence of financial inclusion through PMJDY on the socioeconomic status of marginalized people. Primary data were collected from 393 marginalized people of Himachal Pradesh. This study presents new insights by analysing the demand-side perspective of marginalized people using structural equation modelling approach. The study identified outreach, quality of financial services, usage and accessibility as statistically significant determinants in the PMJDY scheme for financial inclusion. Further, results confirm that financial inclusion promoted by PMJDY substantially improves the socioeconomic status of marginalized people. The study links financial inclusion and the socioeconomic wellness of beneficiaries, with income serving as a moderator; this is the research’s unique contribution to reducing financial exclusion. The research findings have implications for policymakers and financial institutions in formulating effective strategies to attain comprehensive financial inclusion, which can contribute to a strong socioeconomic development of marginalized people through PMJDY.
