The study investigated the utilization of electronic resources in University of Abuja library by Undergraduate students of University of Abuja. The descriptive survey research was adopted for the study. The study was guided by three research questions. The population of the study comprised of 3520 and 3750 undergraduate students from faculties of Science and Arts respectively. The sample size of for the study comprised of 352 and 375 undergraduate students from faculties of Science and Arts respectively. The study adopted a structured questionnaire for data collection. The study revealed moderate use of electronic resources by undergraduate students in faculties of Science and Arts in the University of Abuja library. The study also revealed moderate use of electronic resources for academic activities by undergraduate students of both faculties. The study revealed the challenges faced by the undergraduate students in the use of electronic resources in the University of Abuja library. Furthermore, the findings from the hypotheses shows no difference in the use of electronic resources for academic activities between Science and Arts students. The study recommend that the University of Abuja management should support the University library by providing adequate fund for ICT infrastructure, so that the University library can subscribe to adequate internet to enable the student have access to electronic resources from within and outside the library with ease and on time. The University of Abuja library should work to improve its website and subscribe to more electronic databases and subscribe to e-books and e-journals. Continuous training on utilization of electronic resources should be organised for undergraduate students to update their skills and maximally use the e-resources effectively and satisfactorily. Nigerian Library Association celebrated her sixty years anniversary in July 2022. Therefore, the focus of this paper is to reveal how Special Libraries have contributed to development in Nigeria. The paper presents the concept of development and special libraries and also present types of special libraries in Nigeria, users, brief historical development of special libraries in Nigeria and library and information services they provided to support research for development in Nigeria. The paper revealed that for special libraries in Nigeria to provide efficient and effective library and information services some have adopted and utilized Information and communication Technology.
