Present study focuses on defense against carry-off-type spoofing attacks which often cause distortion in the correlation function profile. Investigation of the frequency characteristics of the correlation function is proposed to detect the presence of the spoofing signal. Having detected the spoofing signal, it is suggested to use an autoencoder neural network to deal with the impacts of the spoofing. The autoencoder neural network removes distortions caused by the spoofing signal from the correlation function. Results demonstrate that the proposed detection method achieves a higher than 98% detection rate and autoencoder-based approach mitigates spoofing attacks by an average of 92.64%. Inertial navigation system (INS) is often integrated with satellite navigation systems to achieve the required precision at high-speed applications. In global navigation system (GPS)/INS integration systems, GPS outages are unavoidable and a severe challenge. Moreover, because of the usage of low-cost microelectromechanical sensors (MEMS) with noisy outputs, the INS will get diverged during GPS outages, and that is why navigation precision severely decreases in commercial applications. In this paper, we improve GPS/INS integration system during GPS outages using extended Kalman filter (EKF) and artificial intelligence (AI) together. In this integration algorithm, the AI receives the angular rates and specific forces from the inertial measurement unit (IMU) and velocity from the INS at t and t − 1. Therefore, the AI has positioning and timing data of the INS. While the GPS signals are available, the output of the AI is compared with the GPS increment; so that the AI is trained. During GPS outages, the AI will practically play the GPS role. Thus, it can prevent the divergence of the GPS/INS integration system in GPS-denied environments. Furthermore, we utilize neural networks (NNs) as an AI module in five different types: multi-layer perceptron (MLP) NN, radial basis function (RBF) NN, wavelet NN, support vector regression (SVR) and adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS). To evaluate the proposed approach, we utilize a real dataset that has been gathered by a mini-airplane. The results demonstrate that the proposed approach outperforms the INS and GPS/INS integration systems with the EKF during GPS outages. GPS receivers have a wide range of applications, but are not always secure. A spoofing attack is one source of conscious errors in which the counterfeit signal overcomes the authentic GPS signal and takes control of the receiver's operation. Recently, GPS spoofing attack detection based on computational algorithms, such as machine learning, classification, wavelet transform and clustering, has been developing. This paper proposes multiple clustering algorithms for accurately clustering the authentic and spoofing signals, called subtractive, FCM and DBSCAN clustering. The spoofing attack is recognized using two distinct features: moving phase detector variance and norms of correlators. Spoofing and authentic signals have different patterns in the proposed features. According to the Dunn and Silhouette indexes, the validation of the results is investigated. The Dunn values for the proposed approaches are 0.8592, 0.5285 and 0.6039 for DBSCAN, FCM and subtractive clustering, respectively. Also, the DBSCAN algorithm is implemented at the RTL level because of its highest value for the Dunn index and algorithm verifiability. Using the Vivado tools, this algorithm is implemented and designed on a Xilinx Virtex 7 xc7vx690tffg1930-3 hardware device for two-dimensional data with 32-bit accuracy and 130 data points. Today, it can be said that in every field in which timely information is needed, we can use the applications of time-series prediction. In this paper, among so many chaotic systems, the Mackey-Glass and Loranz are chosen. To predict them, MultiLayer Perceptron Neural Network (MLP NN) trained by a variety of heuristic methods are utilized such as genetic, particle swarm, ant colony, evolutionary strategy algorithms, and population-based incremental learning. Also, in addition to expressed methods, we propose two algorithms of Bio-geography-Based Optimization (BBO) and fuzzy system to predict these chaotic systems. Simulation results show that if the MLP NN is trained based on the proposed meta-heuristic algorithm of BBO, training and testing accuracy will be improved by 28.5% and 51%, respectively. Also, if the presented fuzzy system is utilized to predict the chaotic systems, it outperforms approximately by 98.5% and 91.3% in training and testing accuracy, respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The acquisition section has some serious problems to increase the speed of acquiring the Global Positioning System (GPS) signals. In this study, we propose three new methods to optimise the Doppler search space and improve the acquisition speed of the GPS signals. The experimental results represent that our proposed methods have a superior performance compared to the conventional bin-fixed method so that the first (sub-frequency band), second (multi-frequency bins), and third (integration of the first and second methods) suggested methods outperform the bin-fixed method in terms of the execution time and computational complexity by approximately 26–19%, 33–19%, and 36–20%, respectively. The Global Positioning System (GPS) is vulnerable to various deliberate and unintentional interferences. Therefore, identifying and coping with various interferences in this system is essential. This paper analyzes a method of reducing the dimensions of Cross Ambiguity Function (CAF) images in improving the identification of spoofing interference at the GPS using Multi-Layer Perceptron Neural Network (MLP NN) and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). Using the proposed method reduces data complexity, which can reduce the number of learning data requirements. The simulation results indicate that, by applying the proposed image processing algorithm for different dimensions of CAF images, the CNN performs better than MLP NN in terms of training accuracy; the MLP NN is superior to CNN in terms of convergence speed of training. In addition, the results demonstrate that the operation of the proposed method is appropriate in the case of smalldelay spoofed signals.
