The present study reports experimental investigations on jet impingement parameters such as nozzle shape, nozzle-plate spacing, Reynolds number, and effect of angle of cut for inclined nozzles on heat transfer. It is observed that the stagnation Nusselt number decreases with an increase in the angle of cut for inclined nozzles. Inclined nozzles produced a higher Nusselt number in the transition and wall jet region than reference nozzles. The radial velocity at the exit of the nozzle is higher for inclined nozzles toward the long lip. The turbulence intensity increases with an increase in nozzle exit angle. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
