Violence against women in politics is fundamentally rooted in the patriarchal socio-cultural construct that creates unfair and unequal perspectives, disadvantaging women while benefiting men. This study focuses on the violence experienced by women due to the perspectives and power relations shaped by long-standing patriarchal values. Using Standpoint Theory and the theory of power relations in communication influenced by patriarchal culture, this research analyzes how differences in viewpoints between men and women can lead to divergent ideas, attitudes, knowledge, and behaviors regarding women. The study adopts a qualitative approach using a single holistic case study method. The research object is the perspective underlying violence against women in politics. The entrenched patriarchal culture has reinforced discriminatory understanding and awareness towards women. Consequently, this study emphasizes the importance of a continuous movement to eradicate political violence, aiming to establish a political communication framework that is free from violence and equitable for all, regardless of gender. Dengan menggunakan Teori Standpoint dan teori relasi kuasa dalam komunikasi yang dipengaruhi oleh budaya patriarkal, penelitian ini menganalisis bagaimana perbedaan sudut pandang antara laki-laki dan perempuan dapat menghasilkan ide, sikap, pengetahuan, dan perilaku yang berbeda terhadap perempuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus holistik tunggal. Objek penelitian adalah perspektif yang melandasi kekerasan terhadap perempuan dalam politik. Budaya patriarkal yang mengakar kuat telah memperkuat pemahaman dan kesadaran diskriminatif terhadap perempuan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya gerakan berkelanjutan untuk menghapus kekerasan politik, dengan tujuan membangun kerangka komunikasi politik yang bebas dari kekerasan dan adil bagi semua pihak, tanpa memandang gender. Abstract The performance of various geogrid earth-retaining walls integrated with a non-cohesion granular backfill for reducing earth pressure has been investigated through small-scale shaking table tests and full-scale 3D finite element analysis. This purpose involved a series of physical modeling tests involving different earth-retaining walls (0.83 cm, height 7.5 cm, thickness, and length 1 m) and arrangements of full-scale 3D finite element analysis (5 m, height, 0.3 m, thickness, and length 6 m). This research investigates and designs hollow prefabricated concrete panels, gravity-type stone masonry, and reinforcement concrete (GRE) walls. It also displays comparative studies such as the top displacement of the wall, deflection of the wall, lateral pressure of the wall, settlement of the backfill, and vertical settlement of the foundation across the height of the (GRE) walls. The understanding and findings based on shaking table experiments and FE simulations have been used to develop a critical model for estimating earthquake-induced displacement (GRE) walls. The validity of the proposed FE simulation model has also been examined in the shaking table experiment and the FE simulation results. Based on the findings, the hollow prefabricated concrete panels were the most practical alternative due to their lower deflection and displacement. The observation also found that the hollow prefabricated (GER) wall is the most viable option, as the backfill surface settlement and lateral pressure decreased with the inclusion of geogrid reinforcement.

Cement manufacturing presents substantial environmental challenges due to the volume of waste generated, including cement ash. Therefore, it is crucial to discover novel methods to utilize cement waste effectively. This study aimed to examine the impact of different concentrations of cement ash (1, 1.5, 2, and 2.5 g) on the conductivity of PVA/TEOS/HCl (PTH) gel electrolyte materials. The primary goal was to determine the ideal concentration of cement ash that would yield maximum conductivity. The research findings demonstrated that the PTH2.5CA sample attained the greatest conductivity of 2.78 mS/cm when adding 2.5 g of cement ash. In addition, this material exhibits a capacity of 0.354 mAh, a specific capacity of 0.12826 mAh/g, and a density capacity of 0.11813 mAh/cm2. The power and power densities were measured as 6.48 mW/cm2 and 25.94 mW, respectively. These findings offer promising prospects for implementing sustainable practices in the industry and highlight the viability of utilizing cement waste as a significant element in battery membrane materials. This technique addresses environmental issues related to cement waste and contributes to advancing a more eco-friendly waste management system.

One way to see the signs of disease in grapevines is a change in leaf color. Ordinary people detect diseases in grapevines only based on subjective vision. On this basis, we need a system that can help the layman to be able to detect diseases in grapevines based on the color of the leaves using the Naïve Bayes algorithm classification method. This algorithm uses simple calculations, so the process is carried out faster. In this study, testing was carried out using the Naive Bayes classification model with 800 training data and 160 validation data. The accuracy results obtained are 90% using the color historgram scenario on channel RGB interval 16 and GLCM with features of dissimilarity, correlation, homogeneity, contrast pixel spacing 5. 90% accuracy is also obtained in the color histogram scenario on channel HSV with interval 16 and GLCM with features of dissimilarity, correlation, homogeneity at pixel spacing of 5. Thus, it can be concluded that the Naive Bayes classification model can gain application in identifying diseases in grapevines through leaf color analysis.

Peri-medullary arteriovenous fistula (PMAVF) is a rare spinal vascular malformation that manifests as progressive neurologic deficits or hemorrhage in the spinal canal. We report a case of high-flow PMAVF in a child, with a single feeder artery and a large venous pouch, which was successfully treated with transarterial endovascular intervention. A 2-year-old boy was referred with a progressive 2-year history of myelopathy. The MRI revealed a large venous pouch at the midthoracic spinal cord with segmental surrounding edema. A spinal angiogram confirmed high-flow PMAVF with a single feeder artery from the anterior radiculomedullary artery, draining into the peri-medullary vein. The patient underwent transarterial embolization at the distal feeder artery, resulting in gradual motor strength improvement. PMAVF is classified as type IV spinal vascular malformation, usually presenting as a large, high-flow fistula with multiple feeders, although there was only one in this case. PMAVFs are intradural and may cause severe neurologic deficits due to mass effect, venous congestion, or hemorrhage, hence requiring prompt treatment. Treatment options for PMAVF include microsurgery, endovascular intervention, or a combination of the 2. Endovascular intervention with coil or liquid embolic material is considered first-line treatment for IVc PMAVF, and effective in type IVb with good clinical outcome. PMAVF is a rare spinal vascular malformation commonly manifesting as severe neurologic deficits but has the potential of favorable outcomes with endovascular therapy. This case demonstrates a unique angioarchitecture of high-flow PMAVF with a single feeder artery and large venous pouch, treated successfully with endovascular therapy.

Dalam dunia komputasi awan yang semakin berkembang, ancaman serangan Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) menjadi isu yang sangat krusial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengimplementasikan model prediksi serangan DDoS menggunakan algoritma Random Forest dan analisis perilaku jaringan. Dataset CICIDS2017 digunakan sebagai sumber data utama untuk melatih dan menguji model prediksi yang dikembangkan. Pemilihan algoritma Random Forest didasarkan pada kemampuannya yang tinggi dalam menangani data besar dan kompleks serta kemampuannya dalam mengenali pola anomali yang sering menjadi indikasi serangan siber. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa model ini mencapai akurasi yang signifikan dengan precision sebesar 97,8%, recall sebesar 98,2%, dan F1-score sebesar 98,0%. Analisis perilaku jaringan yang diterapkan, melibatkan fitur-fitur dinamis seperti waktu antar paket (Inter-Arrival Time/IAT), ukuran rata-rata segmen, dan jumlah paket per detik, yang terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan deteksi model. Implementasi model dalam lingkungan komputasi awan menunjukkan bahwa metode ini dapat diintegrasikan dengan sistem deteksi intrusi (Intrusion Detection Systems/IDS) yang sudah ada untuk memberikan lapisan perlindungan tambahan terhadap serangan DDoS. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh, penelitian ini merekomendasikan penggunaan kombinasi algoritma Random Forest dan analisis perilaku jaringan sebagai solusi yang efektif untuk mendeteksi serangan DDoS dalam lingkungan komputasi awan. Penelitian lanjutan disarankan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji model dengan dataset yang lebih beragam serta mengoptimalkan algoritma untuk meningkatkan performa deteksi. İktisadın doğuşundan günümüze kadar makroekonomik büyüme tüm ülkelerin temel hedefi olmuştur. Bu yüzden her ülke daha hızlı ve sağlam büyüyebilmek için farklı ekonomik politikalar uygulamaktadır. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, Afganistan, Pakistan ve Irak’ta 2001-2020 yılları arasındaki dönemde kamu harcamalarının, alınmış kalkınma yardımlarının ve enflasyon oranın ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki ektisini Panel analizi ile araştırmaktır. Bu amaçla çalışmada, değişkenlerin grafik incelenmesinden sonra çeşitli testler yapılarak nihai model elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen nihai modelin sonuçlarına göre, devlet harcamalarındaki %1’lik bir artış ekonomik büyümeyi %0,86 ve enflasyon oranındaki %1’lik bir artış ekonomik büyümeyi %0,12 oranında artırmaktadır. Ancak alınmış kalkınma yardımlarındaki %1’lik bir artış ekonomik büyümeyi %0,29 oranında azaltmaktadır.Sonuç olarak, Afganistan, Pakistan ve Irak’ta Keynes’in Teorisinin geçerli olduğu sonucu tespit edilmiştir. Bununla birlikte bu ülkelerde enflasyon oranındaki artış da ekonomik büyüme üzerinde olumlu etki yaratmaktadır. Ancak dış yardımlar Afganistan, Pakistan ve Irak’ta iç gelir dağılımının bozulmasına, yolsuzluğun artmasına, ülkenin ekonomik ve siyasi politikalarına müdahale edilmesine neden olmuştur. Böylece dış yardımlar alıcı ülkelerin ekonomik büyümesi ve kalkınması üzerinde olumsuz etkiler yaratmıştır.

The use of seawater and sea sand in concrete is becoming more prominent, particularly for marine structures, as a solution to the shortage of freshwater and natural aggregates. This research evaluates the durability of concrete made with seawater, fly ash, and recycled sea aggregates. Various techniques, including SEM-EDS, FTIR, M-Ct, and TG/DTA, were employed to analyze the microstructure of this concrete. Mechanical properties were assessed by measuring the compressive strength after 28 days. The findings indicated that higher proportions of sea-based materials increased porosity, while FTIR showed the absence of portlandite due to the use of sulfate-resisting cement. SEM-EDS confirmed XRD results quantitatively. Compressive strength improved with up to 50 % replacement of the original composition. The study demonstrates that incorporating seawater enhances the pozzolanic properties of cement, increasing the formation of Calcium-Silicate-Hydrate (C-S-H) gel, which contributes to a dense microstructure and good mechanical strength comparable to conventional freshwater concrete. These results support the use of seawater, sea sand, and recycled aggregates as sustainable alternatives, balancing structural performance and environmental sustainability in construction materials.

A healthy environment improves the quality of life on Earth, while natural disasters affect the quality of the environment. An area’s Landslide Hazard Zonation (LHZ) provides key information about the susceptibility to natural or manmade disasters. Using the Weighted Overlay Technique, this research aims to develop the landslide susceptibility and zonation mapping of Koh-e-Suleman Range (a hill station around the heritage site). Six causative factors are evaluated: geology, elevation, slope inclination, distance from streams, type of soil, and annual rainfall intensity, considering equal risk influence for all the factors. All causative factor maps were generated to yield equal classes and provide uniformity to the results except for soil types found in the study area. The findings indicate that the study area may comprise four landslide hazard zones with high, medium, low, and very low-intensity susceptibility of landslides. The accuracy of the final LHZ map is verified by comparing the hazard zonation area percentages with the global landslide inventory map from a macro-study of NASA. It was found that the study areas largely fall within low- and very low-hazard zones.

Soil represents Earth’s largest terrestrial reservoir of carbon (C) and is an important sink of C from the atmosphere. However, the potential of adopting best management practices (BMPs) to increase soil C sequestration and offset greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in agroecosystems remains unclear. Synthesizing available information on soil C sink capacity is important for identifying priority areas and systems to be monitored, an essential step to properly estimate large-scale C sequestration potential. This study brings an overview of thousands of research articles conducted in the Americas and presents the current state-of-the-art on soil C research. Additionally, it estimates the large-scale BMPs adoption impact over soil C dynamics in the region. Results indicated that soil C-related terms are widely cited in the literature. Despite that, from a total of ~13 thousand research articles recovered in the systematic literature review, only 9.2% evaluated soil C (at any depth), and only 4.6% measured soil C for the 0–30 cm soil layer, mostly conducted in North and South America regions. Literature review showed a low occurrence of terms related to BMPs (e.g., cover cropping), suggesting a research gap on the subject. Estimates revealed that upscaling of BMPs over 30% of agricultural land area (334 Mha) of the Americas can lead to soil C sequestration of 13.1 (±7.1) Pg CO2eq over 20 years, offsetting ~39% of agricultural GHG emissions over the same period. Results suggest that efforts should be made to monitor the impact of cropping system on soil C dynamics on the continents, especially in regions where data availability is low (e.g., Central, Caribbean, and Andean regions). Estimating the available degraded area for the continent and the soil C sequestration rates under BMPs adoption for Central, Andean, and Caribbean regions were major shortcomings encountered in our analysis. Thus, it is expected that some degree of uncertainty may be associated with the obtained results. Despite these limitations, upscaling of BMPs across the Americas suggests having great potential for C removal from the atmosphere and represents a global positive impact in terms of climate change mitigation and adaptation.

ABSTRACT The α-amylase BmaN1 from Bacillus megaterium NL3 is a member of GH13_45 subfamily that has a conserved C-terminal region of approximately 30 residues. This region features a motif of five aromatic amino acids predicted to play a role in starch binding. This study aimed to unravel the role of the C-terminal region in starch hydrolysis. The full-length and C-terminally truncated forms of BmaN1 (BmaN1∆C) were expressed in Escherichia coli ArcticExpress (DE3), resulting in proteins with molecular weights of 56 kDa and 49 kDa, respectively. They exhibited comparable enzymatic activity in the hydrolysis of soluble starch, displaying versatility across a wide range of pH values, temperatures, and NaCl concentrations. BmaN1 and BmaN1∆C activities were inhibited by acarbose and were reduced by SDS and EDTA. In terms of binding and degrading the starch granules, BmaN1∆C showed lower affinity and activity in comparison to BmaN1. Our study indicates that the C-terminal region of BmaN1 significantly enhances its binding affinity and degrading the raw starches.IMPORTANCEα-Amylase (EC 3.2.1.1) stands as an endo-acting enzyme, essential for catalyzing the hydrolysis of α-1,4 glycosidic bonds within starch molecules. The relevance of α-amylases in biotechnological applications is substantial, constituting approximately 30% of the global enzyme market. Among these enzymes, BmaN1 was the first α-amylase identified to possess distinct catalytic residues within the GH13 family. BmaN1 from B. megaterium NL3 belongs to the GH13_45 subfamily. This subfamily is characterized by a conserved C-terminal region consisting of approximately 30 residues that contains a motif of five aromatic residues predicted to be involved in starch binding. Our study shows that the C-terminal effectively contributes to binding and degrading the raw starch granules. This pioneering research on BmaN1 expands our understanding of α-amylases and holds promise for innovative biotechnological advancements.

Water deficiency in semiarid regions is a limiting factor that affects crop quality and yield. In Punjab, Pakistan, a 27% decline in maize yield was detected over the past two decades just because of water scarcity. Currently, no studies have reported the effects of organically activated biochar (AB) on crop productivity under natural field conditions. For this purpose, a field experiment in a split-split-plot design was conducted with three amendment levels (0, 2, and 4 tonnes ac−1), and three maize hybrids (DK-9108, DK-6321, and Sarhaab) under 100%, 70%, and 50% irrigation water (IW) of crop evapotranspiration (ETc). The AB significantly improved the soil’s physical and chemical properties, and maximum improvement was recorded in 4 tonnes ac−1 AB amendment in organic matter (16.6%), total organic carbon (17%), phosphorus (11.43%), and available potassium (29.27%). The 4 tonnes ac−1AB amendment in soil had a significant impact on total chlorophyll content (0.3–1-fold in DK-6321), carotenoid content (3.9–4.4-fold in Sarhaab), and relative water content (30% and 21% in Sarhaab) under 50% irrigation water (IW) of ETc at V14th and R3 stages, respectively. Moreover, a significant decline in stress markers (proline content and sugar content) was detected at both growth stages in all maize hybrids in AB amended soil. The analysis of plant metabolites indicated increased intensities of phenolics, alkyl esters, and carbohydrates by 2.5–7%, 17–80%, and 40–43% in DK-6321 under 50% IW in 2–4 tonnes ac−1 AB amended soil, respectively. The highest improvement in growth and yield attributes among maize hybrids was detected in the order DK-6321¿DK-9108¿Sarhaab in 2–4 tonnes ac−1AB amended soil under 70% and 50% IW of ETc, respectively. Hence, this research might help to develop an effective soil amendment to restore degraded soils and improve maize growth under arid climatic conditions.

Penelitian ini berfokus pada perbandingan algoritma TextBlob dan Naïve Bayes dalam menganalisis sentimen masyarakat. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa TextBlob mengklasifikasikan sebagian besar tweet sebagai positif, sementara Naïve Bayes menunjukkan kecenderungan yang serupa dengan akurasi sebesar 78,18%. Dari analisis TextBlob, sekitar 50,98% komentar menunjukkan sentimen positif, 16,01% negatif, dan 33,33% netral. Dengan menggunakan kedua algoritma ini, penelitian berhasil mengidentifikasi sentimen masyarakat dengan akurasi yang baik, menunjukkan distribusi yang jelas antara sentimen positif, netral, dan negatif.

Abstract This research aimed to determine compressive stress and response time of using refractory brick waste as alternative natural coarse aggregates combined with blended cement in manufacturing sustainable concrete. The experiment was conducted by adding 15–50% aggregates volume of refractory bricks coarse aggregate (RBCA) to concrete mix in order to determine the suitability as coarse aggregates. The results showed that the slump values for the combination of standard concrete (SC) with all RBCA satisfied the design value of ± 20 cm and this showed easy handling and workability of the fresh concrete produced. Moreover, the peak stress and toughness were reduced as RBCA increased from 15 to 50% at both w/c of 0.52 and 0.49. The relationship between compressive stress and response time also showed that the travel time at the elastic, peak, and ultimate stages decreased as RBCA increased from 15 to 50% at both w/c. It was concluded that concrete mix with 50% RBCA did not meet the required criteria at w/c of 0.49 but those with 15–50% RBCA satisfied the minimum requirements at w/c of 0.52.

Background Commercial/chemical pesticides are available to control Fusarium wilt of chickpea, but these antifungals have numerous environmental and human health hazards. Amongst various organic alternatives, use of antagonistic fungi like Trichoderma, is the most promising option. Although, Trichoderma spp. are known to control Fusarium wilt in chickpea but there are no reports that indicate the biocontrol efficacy of indigenous Trichoderma spp. against the local pathogen, in relation to environmental conditions. Methods In the present study, biological control activity of Trichoderma species formulations viz., Trichoderma asperellum, Trichoderma harzianum (strain 1), and Trichoderma harzianum (strain 2), either singly or in the form of consortia, was investigated against Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. ciceris, the cause of Fusarium wilt in chickpea, in multiyear pot trials under open field conditions. The antagonistic effect of Trichoderma spp. was first evaluated in in vitro dual culture experiments. Then the effects of Trichoderma as well as F. oxysporum, were investigated on the morphological parameters, disease incidence (DI), and disease severity (DS) of chickpea plants grown in pots. Results In dual culture experiments, all the Trichoderma species effectively reduced the mycelial growth of F. oxysporum. T. asperellum, T. harzianum (strain 1), and T. harzianum(strain 2) declined the mycelial growth of F. oxysporumby 37.6%, 40%, and 42%. In open field pot trials, the infestation of F. oxysporum in chickpea plants significantly reduced the morphological growth of chickpea. However, the application of T. asperellum, T. harzianum (strain 1), and T. harzianum (strain 2), either singly or in the form of consortia, significantly overcome the deleterious effects of the pathogen, thereby resulted in lower DI (22.2% and 11.1%) and DS (86% and 92%), and ultimately improved the shoot length, shoot fresh weight and shoot dry weight by 69% and 72%, 67% and 73%, 68% and 75%, during the years 1 and 2, respectively, in comparison with infested control. The present study concludes the usefulness and efficacy of Trichoderma species in controlling wilt disease of chickpea plants under variable weather conditions.

One of the transportation that is often used by people in Bangka Belitung to travel outside the area is airplanes. Judging from the data on the number of passengers at two airports in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, the highest number of airplane passengers departing outside the region in April 2023 was 88,511 people. If there is an excessive increase in the number of passengers, it will have an impact on the quality of airport service levels and disrupt the stability of flight traffic. The purpose of this study is to compare the results of forecasting the number of passengers at the airport of Bangka Belitung Islands Province for the future period using the ARIMA and SARIMA methods. Based on the results of the analysis, the best method to forecast the number of passengers at the Bangka Belitung Islands Provincial Airport is the ARIMA method with the best model, namely ARIMA (0,1,1). In general, the results of forecasting the number of passengers at the Bangka Belitung Islands Provincial Airport from May 2024 to April 2026 will increase the number of passengers continuously until April 2026.

OBJECTIVE: To determine the significance of etiological basis of thyrotoxicosis in guiding optimal treatment selection and its correlation with age and the presence of goiter. METHODS: This cross-sectional study was conducted at MTI-Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar, Pakistan, from December 2022 to May 2023. Utilizing nonprobability-consecutive sampling, we enrolled 119 participants, focusing on individuals presenting with thyrotoxicosis confirmed by thyroid function tests (TFTs). Those already undergoing treatment for hyperthyroidism were also included. Essential diagnostic assessments, such as radioiodine scans, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), and thyroid receptor stimulating antibody tests, were performed as needed. Patients with chronic renal disease, chronic liver disease, and pregnant and lactating women were excluded. RESULTS: The mean age of participants was 40.39±13.65 years, with 84.03% having TSH

POFA (palm oil fuel ash) and seawater have the possible to be used in concrete as an effort to reduce construction costs and environmental waste problems. POFA contains pozzolanic properties such as those contained in cement so it has the possible to be used as a mineral in concrete mixtures. Therefore, the use of POFA and seawater in concrete mixtures have the potential to be implemented, but it is obligatory to pay awareness to the potential for corrosion that also follows. This study aims to evaluate the use of POFA up to 20% as a replacement for cement and the effect of mixing seawater on the strength and corrosion of reinforcing bar in concrete. The compressive strength of concrete was evaluated by carrying out a compressive test on a cylindrical specimen with 100 mm in diameter and 200 mm in height at 7 days and 28 days of age. Furthermore, a concrete cylinder specimen with a diameter of 10 mm reinforcement was used to evaluate the potential for corrosion. Measurement of corrosion estimation using the half-cell potential (HCP) method based on ASTM C876-15. Test results show the use of up to 10% POFA to replace cement by mixing seawater and treated with fresh water has a high strength that is almost the same as normal concrete. The risk of corrosion is also not detected and proven by actual measurements of corrosion. Furthermore, HCP values more negative than -400 mV are predicted to experience corrosion in the reinforcement area above 10%.

Wilayah kabupaten dapat memiliki perbedaan karakteristik satu sama lain. Perbedaan tersebut membutuhkan generalisasi dan pendetailan penerapan konsep smart city pada karakteristik setiap kabupaten. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan abduktif kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus untuk mengidentifikasi kekhasan penerapan konsep tersebut. Data diolah menggunakan analisis triangulasi dan komparasi terhadap penerapan konsep smart city antara Kabupaten Bantul sebagai studi kasus dengan penelitian sebelumnya yakni Kabupaten Kulon Progo dan Sukoharjo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan terhadap penerapan konsep smart city pada wilayah kabupaten. Namun demikian, perbedaan terletak pada obyek yang didukung program inovasi smart city. Kabupaten pesisir memungkinkan pengembangan branding pariwisata pantai serta sistem peringatan dini dan mitigasi bencana tsunami, kabupaten fokus pertanian memungkinkan pengembangan pertanian dan ekonomi lokal berbasis pertanian, kabupaten penyangga kota memiliki infrastruktur TIK jaringan internet dan telekomunikasi lebih memadai pada area aglomerasi perkotaan dibandingkan di luar area aglomerasi perkotaan, dan kabupaten administrasi khusus memungkinkan pengembangan program inovasi smart city didukung dana khusus.

The aim of this study was to analyze the income and productivity of seaweed farmers based on farmed land ownership status. This research was conducted in three provinces on the Sulawesi Island which are ranked among the 10 largest seaweed producers in Indonesia: Central Sulawesi, South Sulawesi and Southeast Sulawesi. The twelve study sites were determined based on 5 special criteria and 792 respondents fulfilled the criteria for seaweed farmers. Data were collected through field surveys and analyzed using qualitative and quantitative methods. Results showed that the seaweed farming areas are considered as private property with 4 types of marine land tenure or ownership status: own land, inherited land, leasehold land and purchased land. The productivity of seaweed farming land had a positive value greater than 1 in South Sulawesi and Southeast Sulawesi, and a positive value of less than 1 in Central Sulawesi. Seaweed cultivation in Central Sulawesi has not been managed effectively. At all sites, the maximum number of growing season cycles was 5 cycles/year. Optimal growing season conditions gave the highest marginal returns at 2–3 cycles/year with additional costs exceeding additional income for more than 3 cycles/year.

Conservation Voltage Reduction (CVR) is a potential energy management approach for increasing computer system energy efficiency. This study uniquely contributes to the field by thoroughly investigating the impact of CVR on computing devices, filling a significant gap in the existing literature. The research employs a novel experimental approach, considering the temporal variations in energy use behavior, and presents a comprehensive benchmark analysis of desktop PCs and laptops. Notable gains in processing efficiency are observed, with specific instances such as Desktop 1’s 1.53% Single-Core performance improvement and Desktop 3’s 3.19% total performance boost. Despite variations, the thermal performance of CVR-equipped devices, particularly Desktop 3 and Laptop 3, consistently demonstrates lower temperatures, indicating thermal management enhanced by 3.19% and 1.35%, respectively. Additionally, the study introduces the CVR Performance Enhancement Ratio (%), providing a unique metric for evaluating the trade-offs between energy efficiency and system performance. This research highlights the dual impact of CVR on thermal and computational elements, emphasizing its broad advantages. Integrating CVR emerges as a viable strategy for developing more durable, efficient, and sustainable computing devices, setting the stage for advancements in voltage regulation.

Potatoes are a staple food crop consumed worldwide, with their significance extending from household kitchens to large-scale food processing industries. Their market value and quality are often compromised by various internal defects such as pythium, bruising, internal browning, hollow heart, gangrene, blackheart, internal sprouting, and dry rot. This study aimed to classify internal-based defects and investigate the quantification of internal defective areas in potatoes using visible and short-wavelength near-infrared spectroscopy. The acquisition of the spectral data of potato tubers was performed using a spectrometer with a wavelength range of 400–1100 nm. The classification of internal-based defects was performed using partial least squares discriminant analysis (PLS-DA), while the quantification of the internal defective area was based on partial least squares regression (PLSR). The PLS-DA double cross-validation accuracy for the distinction between non-defective and all internally defective potatoes was 90.78%. The double cross-validation classification accuracy achieved for pythium, bruising, and non-defective categories was 91.03%. The internal defective area model based on PLSR achieved a correlation coefficient of double cross-validation of 0.91 and a root mean square error of double cross-validation of 0.85 cm2. This study makes a valuable contribution to advancing nondestructive techniques for evaluating internal defects in potatoes.

Kurikulum pendidikan Indonesia yang digunakan di era industry 4.0 ini adalah kurikulum merdeka yang didalammnya terdapat pendidikan karakter penguatan profil pelajar pancasila. Profil pelajar pancasila memiliki enam ciri utama, yaitu, beriman, bertakwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa dan berakhlak mulia, berkebinekaan global, mandiri bergotong royong, bernalar kritis dan kreatif.. Literasi digital menekankan kepada pentingnya pemahaman dan kemampuan dalam penggunaan teknologi digital secara bijak terutama di era revolusi industri 4.0 dimana pada saat ini terjadi transformasi yang memberikan dampak kepada kehidupan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh antara literasi digital terhadap penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila siswa pada dimensi bernalar kritis dan menganalisis signifikansi antara keterampilan literasi digital dengan penguatan profil pelajar pancasila siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada siswa SD kelas 4 yang berjumlah 25 siswa di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Sukapura 01 Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan kausal asosiatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan antara kemampuan literasi digital terhadap penguatan profil pelajar pancasila siswa pada dimensi bernalar kritis. Berdasarkan nilai koefisien determinasi (R Square) besaran pengaruh literasi digital terhadap penguatanprofil pelajar pancasila yang terhitung adalah sebesar 18.3 %.

Maintaining environmental sustainability has escalated to the top of the agenda in practically all nations today, including Pakistan. Hence, our research supports the United Nations sustainable development goal line, specifically SDG-11 for sustainable societies and SDG-13 for mitigating climate change vulnerability. To address these challenges, the present study investigates the association of digital finance, financial inclusion, renewable energy, and institutional quality with environmental sustainability in Pakistan. While financial inclusion is assessed using five proxies that are indexed by principal component analysis (PCA), digital finance is quantified by the number of ATMs. We used data from 2004 to 2021 to explore the relationship among the study variables. Employing the auto-regressive distributed lag (ARDL) model, we examined the long-run and short-run symmetric relationships between variables. Additionally, the study investigate the moderating impact on environmental sustainability by analysing the interaction term of institutional quality and digital finance (DF*INSQ). The results show that financial inclusion and digital finance can help developing countries like Pakistan achieve environmental sustainability. The study also highlights the vital role of renewable energy sources in the long-term reduction of carbon emissions. Moreover, the interaction between digital finance and institutional quality presents positive prospects for advancing environmental sustainability. These findings underscore the necessity of redefining financial inclusion and giving environmental sustainability projects top priority. They provide insightful information for policymakers and digital financial service providers in less developed countries. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the importance of robust financial institutions prioritizing renewable energy and institutional integrity for long-term financial health and growth.

In analyzing the destruction of democracy, political culture, morals and political ethics through the determinants of Vote Buying in general elections in Indonesia, this article uses the literature study method. The method used is through data collection by finding sources and constructing from various sources such as books, journals, and existing research. The determinant of Vote Buying which destroys democracy, political culture, morals and political ethics. The intended determinants such as poverty, education, politico-business, patron-client relations should be sought for the root of the problem and its solution. Through analysis, Rational Choice Theory will dissect and examine the destruction of democracy, political culture, morals and political ethics through the determinants of Vote Buying in general elections in Indonesia. In conclusion, this article contains: (1). Nominal rules have not had a deterrent effect. (2). Low political awareness of people who are exposed to vote buying. (3). Educationally and economically marginalized people are politically neglected. (4). There is no anti-bribery formulation in the pilot scheme and sustainable maintenance practices (5). The bias of political party sovereignty as the main instrument in preventing politico-business intervention. (6). Unequal distribution of poverty and education. (7). There is a predatory network that is interrelated in maintaining the high political costs in Indonesia.

The water quality in Karachi (Pakistan) is uncertain due to the occurrence of fungi and other microorganisms. A total of twenty-five water samples were collected from public places, educational institutes, hospitals, water supply systems and surface water of the canal of Karachi (Pakistan). The different fungal species including Acremonium sp., Alternaria alternata, Aspergillus flavus, A. fumigatus, A. sulphureus, Cladosporium sp., Fusarium sp., Clonostachys (Gliocladium) sp., Macrophomina phaseolina, Mucor racemosus, Paecilomyces sp. Penicillium chrysogenum, P. citrinum, P. commune, P. expansum, Rhizoctonia sp. and Stachybotrys sp. were isolated from these drinking water samples. However, the bacteria, microalgae and some other microorganisms were present in low concentrations. The reason for fungi infection and production of mycotoxicity depends upon various factors and the availability of their nutrients in filtration plants. The major threats to human health are fungal mycotoxicity which is responsible for carcinogenic and other lethal diseases. Mostly, the genus Aspergillus was dominated and isolated with a maximum of 88–98% of occurrence in the different samples of drinking water by the direct plate-spread method. For the control of fungi, various Physico-chemical coagulation treatments were used, but Potassium alum, clay pot, and hot water treatment disinfected effectively 69–70% removal of the fungi and its spore or mycelia from the water. In addition, it is concluded that drinking water purifications such as chlorination, filtration and lime did not eliminate thermophilic fungal spores or mycelia including Penicillium, Paecilomyces and Mucor from the water.

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of smash skills in BKMF FIK UNM badminton athletes. This type of research is descriptive quantitative with survey methods while the technique and data collection uses tests and measurements. The population of this study were all BKMF FIK UNM badminton athletes and the sample in this study were 20 BKMF FIK UNM badminton athletes using a purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the smash skill level of BKMF FIK UNM badminton athletes obtained the "Very Good" category of 25% (5 athletes), the "Good" category of 50% (10 athletes), the "Enough" category of 20% (4 athletes) , the “Less” category is 5% (1 athlete), and the “Very Less” category is 0% (0 athletes). It can be concluded that the smash skill level of BKMF FIK UNM badminton athletes is in the good category.

Garbage is currently still a problem for the community where there is a lack of knowledge of waste management properly. The waste bank is present as a solution to assist the government in reducing the accumulation of waste and helping to improve the economy of housewives, especially residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Bank Sampah Teratai (BST) is one of the social group organizations engaged in environmental economics, especially in managing household waste for residents of RW. 05 Pinang Griya Permai, Pinang - Tangerang. Bank Sampah Teratai located in Pinang Griya Permai Tangerang is a partner in this activity. Observation results show that Bank Sampah Teratai does not yet have adequate knowledge in waste management, both organic and inorganic. Based on the above problems, a community partnership program was formed with the academic community (lecturers and students) of Universitas Budi Luhur to help solve problems at the Bank Sampah Teratai. Based on these conditions, training on organic and inorganic waste management was carried out for residents of the Pinang Griya Permai housing. This training provides understanding, and appropriate skills, which help residents to carry out organic and inorganic waste management. Based on the results of the questionnaire after the training was carried out, 100% of participants stated that the material presented was in accordance with their needs, and the material presented was also considered good by 100% of the participants. The long-term result of this training is an increase in the understanding and skills of the residents to manage organic and inorganic waste. This training has been a useful contribution to improving skills for members of the Bank Sampah Teratai in particular, and skills for residents of Pinang Griya Permai housing in general.

Rumah sakit saat ini menjadi fasilitas layanan kesehatan masyarakat yang tidak hanya berorientasi sosial namun juga aspek bisnis. Persaingan antar fasilitas layanan jasa kesehatan yang semakin ketat menuntut rumah sakit untuk memperhatikan faktor-faktor yang melatarbelakangi, mengarahkan serta mendorong keputusan pasien dalam memilih rumah sakit, diantaranya adalah komunikasi dari mulut ke mulut (WOM) dan brand image. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh WOM dan brand image terhadap keputusan memilih layanan rawat jalan di Rumah Sakit Pendidikan Universitas Hasanuddin. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuisioner terhadap 201 responden. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah aksidental sampling, yaitu menyebarkan kuisioner kepada responden yang kebetulan ada atau tersedia di suatu tempat sesuai dengan konteks penelitian. Pengolahan data penelitian menggunakan aplikasi SPSS versi 25.0 Pengujian instrumen dilakukan dengan uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas. Pengujian data dilakukan dengan uji asumsi klasik. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi berganda. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan uji t dan uji F. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh word of mouth dan brand image terhadap keputusan memilih layanan rawat jalan rumah sakit baik secara parsial maupun secara simultan, namun pengaruh variabel WOM dan brand image secara bersama-sama (simultan) hanya sebesar 33,8 %, atau dapat dikatakan memiliki pengaruh yang lemah.

Malaria is a serious caused by protozoan parasites such as Plasmodium groups and has fatal consequences for human health. The increase in the resistance of the Plasmodium parasites toward existing antimalarial drugs prompts the exploration of novel compounds. In this study, quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) analysis using the semi-empirical AM1 method was conducted to identify the optimal model that relates physicochemical properties and biological activity of chalcone derivatives. In addition, ADMET prediction and molecular docking were also carried out. Multilinear regression calculations for statistical parameters of QSAR models revealed that Model 4, with 11 independent variables, provided the best predictions and exhibited a robust correlation with antimalarial activity represented by inhibitory concentration (IC50). ADMET predictions indicated favorable absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and toxicity properties, particularly for B2D, showing promising antimalarial attributes. Molecular docking studies targeting 5 mutated PfDHODH proteins revealed B2D’s potential to reach therapeutic targets efficiently. It has low docking scores for mutations I (-10.5 kcal/mol), II (-8.6 kcal/mol), and V (-10.5 kcal/mol) with RMSD < 2Å, in carrying out its role for antimalarial activity. This research successfully identifies B2D as an efficient inhibitor of PfDHODH receptors. Thus, it is a highly promising novel antimalarial drug.

Surabaya is a coastal area projected to be a strategic area for the sustainable development of coastal areas according to the medium-term development plan for Surabaya 2016-2021. The strategic area of the coastal area functions as a supporter of economic growth and saving the environment to optimize the development of the coastal area, so a study is needed to determine the development of the area. This study was conducted to determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the coastal area of Surabaya. The researcher took a qualitative approach to the analysis and was the necessary case study. Analysis of this activity using the SWOT method. The SWOT analysis results from a comparison of internal and external factors; the analysis is carried out using the IFAS (Internal Factor Analysis Summary) matrix and the EFAS (External Factor Analysis Summary) matrix. Based on the SWOT analysis, it can be shown that the management of the Surabaya City coastal area is by the spatial plans that have been made. However, in reality, it must pay attention to communication and socialization with the community, which is considered not optimal, as well as periodic impact management and environmental maintenance to minimize coastal threats.

Tomatoes are one of the most important vegetables in every home, especially in South Asian countries, used as a vegetable, ketchup, and condiment in many kitchen recipes. It is a good source of calcium, potassium, folate, vitamin A, vitamin K, and lycopene, which are beneficial for the human body and protect it against different diseases. Nutrient management is a key factor for the best quality production of tomato fruit. The present study was conducted to compare the efficiency of different calcium salts (calcium sulphate, calcium carbonate, calcium nitrate, and calcium chloride) in improving the growth, yield, and other quality-related parameters of tomatoes. A single field experiment was conducted and laid out according to the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with a single factor in the field and a Complete Randomized Design (CRD)) for postharvest fruit storage. The results obtained from this experiment suggest that plants treated with 2% calcium chloride solution exhibited the greatest plant height (85.27 cm), number of leaves (221), yield per plant (2.3 kg), ascorbate peroxidase (290.75 m mol s−1 kg−1), superoxide dismutase (7.13 m mol s−1 kg−1), catalase (18.74 m mol s−1 kg−1), total phenolics (2.44 mg g−1), and β carotene (0.48 µg g−1). During postharvest storage, the maximum shelf life (18 days), minimum disease incidence (4.78%), weight loss (6.61%), and ethylene production (119.6 µL C2H4 kg−1h−1) rate were also observed in calcium-treated fruits.

Bioetanol merupakan salah satu jenis energi alternatif menyerupai bensin yang dapat diperoleh dari fermentasi bahan-bahan yang mengandung amilum, sukrosa, glukosa, maupun fruktosa. Penelitian ini sudah dilakukan sebelumnya, perbedaannya adalah penelitian sebelumnya tidak memakai uji gas Chromatography untuk menghasilkan kadar bioetanol yang tepat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengkaji pengaruh waktu fermentasi dan massa ragi roti terhadap yield, densitas, viskositas dan kadar bioetanol. Metode penelitian menggunakan cara fermentasi dan distilasi dengan variasi waktu fermentasi 3, 5 dan 7 hari. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan yield bioetanol tertinggi 7,390, densitas bioetanol tertinggi 0,8413 gr/ml dan viskositas tertinggi adalah 1,11 cP. Semakin lama waktu fermentasi dan massa ragi yang diberikan maka semakin baik produk yang dihasilkan. Nilai densitas dan viskositas dari bioetanol yang didapatkan telah memenuhi Standar Nasional Indonesia.

Physical Education is not only related to the psychomotor aspects of students. This research found that traditional evaluation tests such as the Physical Fitness Test and subjective assessment criteria such as assessing student effort have been popular means of the assessment process in the past. This research aims to examine the importance of alternative assessment models in physical education to achieve more objective learning outcomes. This research is descriptive research that uses library observation methods from various existing literature. This research uses the literature study method. A literature search was conducted to answer the questions raised in this research. This research utilizes various literature from the last ten years sourced from Elsvier, Google Scholar, and Researchgate. Article searches were carried out using the keywords assessment, physical education, and authentic assessment. The conclusion that can be drawn from the results of the literature study is that alternative assessment methods are currently used and there is more emphasis on education as a whole. Because actually assessment in physical education must cover 3 aspects, namely cognitive, affective and psychomotor. In light of the above, this research article provides evidence of real progress in a field that has been beset by challenges to achieve educational goals as educational endeavors, much work remains to be done to disseminate what is considered to be excellent assessment practices. Abstract Background D-dimer is a well-known marker for abnormal hemostasis in acute ischemic stroke (AIS), indicating the presence of fibrin degradation due to thrombus formation and lysis. The diagnostic performance of D-dimer for different AIS types in the Indonesian population has not been established. The aim of this study is to compare the plasma D-dimer levels in three of the most common AIS subtypes in Indonesia; the cardioembolic, large artery atherosclerosis (LAA), and small-vessel occlusion (SVO), and to determine its most optimal diagnostic performance. Results In this cross-sectional study, 64 subjects with confirmed AIS diagnosis at the Wahidin Sudirohusodo General Hospital Makassar between June and October 2019 were recruited. Plasma D-dimer levels were measured and grouped according to the subtype of acute ischemic stroke based on the TOAST classification. A significant difference was observed between the D-dimer levels across the three AIS subtypes, with an average D-dimer of 2.93 ± 1.7, 1.27 ± 0.81, and 0.56 ± 0.46 µg/ml in the cardioembolic, LAA, and SVO subtypes, respectively. As a marker of cardioembolic stroke, an optimal cut-off was determined to be 1.52 µg/ml, yielding a sensitivity of 84.44% (CI 71.22–92.25% and specificity of 84.21% (CI 62.43–94.48%). Conclusion Plasma D-dimer levels varied significantly between the cardioembolic, LAA, and SVO subtypes of AIS, with the highest D-dimer level in the cardioembolic subtypes. As a marker of cardioembolic stroke, an optimal cut-off was determined to be 1.52 µg/mL, yielding a sensitivity and specificity of 84.44% and 84.21%, respectively.

This research is descriptive research using a survey method with test techniques. The sample was taken purposively as a sample of 16 children with special needs who were deaf and mentally retarded. Research data collection was carried out through tests, tests for gross motor skills consisted of a test for walking on a straight line for 5 meters, a test for running to avoid 5 obstacles for a distance of 15 meters, a test for standing on one leg for 10 seconds, a test for jumping from a high beam. 15 cm, and sprint 40 meters. From the gross motor skills test of deaf and mentally retarded children in Makassar City, the results obtained were that the gross motor skills of deaf and mentally retarded children were in the medium category, namely 8 students or 88.9% and 7 students or 100% respectively. From this, researchers can conclude that the gross motor skills of deaf and mentally retarded children in Makassar City are in the medium category

This research will use experimental research methods. In investigating the relationship between cause and effect, this experimental research only uses the use of a study group, not a control group. Researchers used a research method known as the One Group Pretest-Posttest method. Then given training according to the program, and after giving training for 8 weeks with 16 meetings, then it was measured again with the Squash playing skill test. This situation game method is a form of exercise that can improve the ability of athletes in playing squash which has been proven by the research that has been done. As a result, this form of training is a real contribution to the growth of athletes, especially for students who are the seeds of squash athletes in the future.

Cement mortar is used as an adhesive and plaster for brick walls, drainage channels or irrigation with river stones or mountain stones, and in the manufacturing of short revetments. The performance of cement mortar requires continuous improvement by construction materials researchers, scientists, and building contractors. Recently, carbon fiber sheet has gained popularity for use in retrofitting and improvement to the performance of building elements. This study aims to recycle small sheets of unused carbon fiber by cutting them into short carbon fiber (SCF) with a uniform length of 12 mm, which is used as an internal reinforcement in the cement mortar. All plain and fibrous mortar were prepared with a 50 mm cube mold. In addition, tests were conducted to provide reliable data regarding the application of recycled carbon fiber sheets as discrete fiber reinforcement in the improvement of cement mortar; these include ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV), compressive strength, and point load strength index (PLSI) (known for performance rock testing in geotechnical and geological environments) tests. The test results for UPV, PLSI, and compressive strength showed that the addition of carbon fiber improves the performance of the mortar when compared to plain mortar. Furthermore, two simplified relationships are made: the first correlation was for PLSI with compressive strength, and the second correlation was for UPV with compressive strength. Finally, these correlations were compared with those of experimental tests obtained from published literature, thus demonstrating the correctness of the PLSI, compressive strength, and UPV values obtained in this study.

The limitations in the available reinforcing methods have accompanied the increasing popularity of 3D Concrete Printing (3DCP). Incorporating steel fibers as reinforcement is a promising approach to overcome these limitations. However, the impact of the printing process on the alignment of these fibers is not well understood. Therefore, the objective of this research is to quantitatively analyze the distribution of steel fiber alignment in 3D printed concrete. To achieve this, digital image analysis was employed to assess the influence of nozzle diameter, print speed, and fiber content on fiber alignment in both mold-cast and 3D-printed samples. UHPC matrix without fiber addition and fiber reinforced UHPC composites with brass-coated steel fiber contents of 1.5% and 3% by volume fraction were printed. Furthermore, Material nozzles ranging from 10 mm to 40 mm in size were employed and printing speeds of 15, 25, 35, and 45 mm/s were adjusted. Subsequently, the study examined the implications of fiber alignment on the hardened performance of printed specimens and compared them with conventionally mold-cast samples. The findings of the study demonstrated that increasing the fiber content and using smaller diameter nozzles during the printing procedure led to significant improvements in fiber orientation along the printing direction. As a result, the mechanical performance of the printed samples showed a substantial enhancement compared to the specimens produced through mold casting, primarily due to the improved fiber alignment.

This study evaluates the earthquake-induced movement of geogrid earth-retaining (GER) walls. A thorough investigation was conducted on a GER wall model, utilizing a comprehensive finite element (FE) analysis. This research focuses on investigating and designing hollow prefabricated concrete panels and conventional gravity-type stone masonry GER walls. It also displays comparative studies such as the displacement of the wall, deflection of the wall, lateral pressure of the wall, settlement of the backfill reinforcement, vertical pressure of the backfill, lateral pressure of the backfill, vertical settlement of the foundation, and settlements of soil layers across the height and acceleration of the walls of the GER walls. The FE simulations used a three-dimensional (3D) nonlinear dynamic FE model of full-scale GER walls. The seismic performance of models has also been examined in terms of wall height. It was found that the seismic motion significantly impacts the height of the GER walls. In addition, the validity of the proposed study model was assessed by comparing it to the conventional reinforcement concrete and gravity-type GRE wall and ASSHTO guidelines using finite element (FE) simulation results. Based on the findings, the hollow prefabricated concrete panels were the most practical alternative due to their lower deflection and displacement. Based on the observation, it was also found that the hollow prefabricated GER wall is the most viable option, as the settlement and lateral pressure in the former type are high.

Fresh-cut vegetables are a food product susceptible to contamination by foreign materials (FMs). To detect a range of potential FMs in fresh-cut vegetables, a dual imaging technique (fluorescence and color imaging) with a simple and effective image processing algorithm in a user-friendly software interface was developed for a real-time inspection system. The inspection system consisted of feeding and sensing units, including two cameras positioned in parallel, illuminations (white LED and UV light), and a conveyor unit. A camera equipped with a long-pass filter was used to collect fluorescence images. Another camera collected color images of fresh-cut vegetables and FMs. The feeding unit fed FMs mixed with fresh-cut vegetables onto a conveyor belt. Two cameras synchronized programmatically in the software interface simultaneously collected fluorescence and color image samples based on the region of interest as they moved through the conveyor belt. Using simple image processing algorithms, FMs could be detected and depicted in two different image windows. The results demonstrated that the dual imaging technique can effectively detect potential FMs in two types of fresh-cut vegetables (cabbage and green onion), as indicated by the combined fluorescence and color imaging accuracy. The test results showed that the real-time inspection system could detect FMs measuring 0.5 mm in fresh-cut vegetables. The results showed that the combined detection accuracy of FMs in the cabbage (95.77%) sample was superior to that of green onion samples (87.89%). Therefore, the inspection system was more effective at detecting FMs in cabbage samples than in green onion samples.

This research aims to develop a sustainable concrete matrix using industrial waste materials, including marble powder, waste glass sludge (WGS), and crumb rubber from tire waste. The mechanical properties of the newly designed concrete mix, such as compressive strength, split tensile strength, and flexural strength, were evaluated. The results showed improvements in compressive strength by 5%, split tensile strength by 4%, and flexural strength by 5%. Besides, a statistical two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) with a threshold of less than 0.001 was used, and the residual error was found to be low (4.09), both in terms of lack of fit and pure error. This research proposes a new model to assess the sustainable performance of the newly developed concrete matrix. Data was collected from 21 academic professors and structural engineers, and hypotheses were tested using partial least squares structural equation modelling. The Design Expert software was deployed to check its hypothesis, and the Smart PLS software was deployed to measure data validation. The findings demonstrate that a sustainable concrete matrix positively influences sustainable performance. The proposed model offers valuable insights for decision-makers and engineering managers, highlighting the benefits of adopting sustainable materials to enhance overall sustainability performance. Incorporating marble powder, waste glass sludge, and crumb rubber was beneficial in terms of mechanical strengths and microstructure. Overall, this research contributes to the goal of reducing CO2 emissions in the cement industry and provides practical recommendations for incorporating sustainable materials in construction practices.

The last report of Microhyla gadjahmadai was recorded from Vila Hijau on Curup, Bengkulu Province, Indonesia. Here, we report this species from the conservation area and palm-oil plantation of PT. Tidar Kerinci Agung, Solok Selatan and Dharmasraya Regency, West Sumatra Province. These new records extend the known distribution by 213 km to the north-northwest from the nearest previously known occurrence. These finds add to the information known about this species and as an indicator to support management for further conservation strategy of the forest.

Pinisi ships are famous for their toughness across the ocean. The uniqueness of Pinisi is shipbuilding methods that are different without design engineering. The conditions present pinisi for tourist ships, problems have arisen recently, namely the number of Pinisi ship accidents. The main cause is bad water and technical factors. To improve safety and comfort, the aspect that needs to be studied hydrodynamic characteristics. The subject ship uses three samples of Pinisi ships produced by the Tanah Beru traditional shipyard. The hydrodynamic performance to be analyzed is hydrostatics, stability, resistance and ship motion, with several methods according to the respective standard to be analyzed. The shape of the pinisi hull is a rounded hull small coefficient block, and the largest change in hydrostatic parameters occurs at a draft of 0 meters to 0.25 meters. The resistance at a speed of 0-7 knots is relatively the same at every speed increase, but at speeds > 7 knots there is a change. RAO analysis for roll motion at a wave frequency of 1.5 – 1.75 rad/s for heading 90 degrees and for 45 degrees 3.65-3.80 rad/s. Heave motion occurs at a frequency of 4.25 rad/s – 4.4 rad/s with a wave direction of 0 degrees and a heading of 90 degrees smaller than the direction of the wave of 0 degrees. Evaluation of the stability arm, for variation KG critical, failed in 5/4H dan 1H in with B/T 3.43 to B/ T 5.00, while for the initial metacentric height parameter, all conditions still passed the criteria.

Respiratory emergencies are common and can require intensive management with complex medical equipment. Experiences from global pandemics such as Coronavirus disease-2019 have shown collapse of healthcare infrastructure and spikes in mortality because of shortage of critical equipment, such as mechanical ventilators, especially in under resourced settings. In this article, we present a brief review of medical literature regarding established and readily available blueprints for ventilator systems. We also present our design relevant to under resourced areas called the ResQvent, which is a portable artificial manual breathing unit add-on device that can be automated to allow cyclical compression of the bag to provide adequate ventilation according to standard recommendations for infants, children and adults. Powered by 220-240 V electrical supply, this 18x8x8 inches, extremely portable device can prove to be a game changer in providing temporary automated ventilation at a reasonable cost. ResQvent has been successfully bench tested for accuracy on simulation software. With the continued motivation arising from the pandemic, we assume similar projects will attract attention; however, efforts are still required to design policies and arrange dependable financial resources for the creation and evaluation of open-source ventilators.

Introduction: Characteristics of Indigenous Peoples in managing this natural potential has relevance to optimizing the potential of geographical indications. Even so, legal problems occur when in positive law in Indonesia there is no regulation regarding the participation and role of the Customary Law Community in optimizing geographical indications. Purpose of The Research: This research aims to regulatory orientation and formulation regarding the participation of Indigenous Peoples in optimizing the potential of geographical indications. Methods of Research: This research is a normative legal research with a concept and statutory approach. The analysis is carried out by carrying out an inventory of legal materials, then proceed with the reduction process (sorting) according to the needs in the selection, and ends with conclusions. Results of the Research: The participation of the Indigenous Peoples in optimizing the potential of geographic indications can actually be carried out by involving the role of both the central and regional governments to facilitate it. Appropriate formulations related to arrangements regarding the participation of Indigenous Peoples in optimizing the potential of geographical indications can be carried out by forming cooperatives or associations of producers related to geographical indications. This needs to be done because in the provisions of positive law, Indigenous Peoples are not one of the parties that can become applicants for registration of geographical indications. Revisions to regulations regarding geographical indications need to be made in order to optimize the role and participation of the Indigenous Peoples.

This paper investigates the seismic performance of prefabricated segmental bridge columns (PSBCs) with hybrid post-tensioned tendons and energy dissipation (ED) bars under cyclic loading. PSBCs with unbonded and hybrid bonded prestressed tendons and columns incorporating ED bars are designed to improve the lateral strength, energy dissipation, and limit the residual drift. The PSBCs under cyclic loading were investigated using the three-dimensional finite element (FE) modeling platform ABAQUS. The FE model was calibrated against experimental results, with an overall error of less than 10%. The seismic performance of the proposed PSBCs was evaluated based on critical parameters, including lateral strength, residual plastic displacement, and the energy dissipation capacity. The results show that bonding the tendons in the plastic hinge region as opposed to the overall bonding along the column leads to a better cyclic performance. The lateral strength, and recentering abilities are further improved by bonding tendons up to 2/3 of the length in the plastic hinge region, along with 100–300 mm in the footing. It was also found that selecting a longitudinal length of ED bars crossing multiple precast segmental joints and having a circumferential spread of 70–90% of core concrete results in a higher bearing capacity and energy dissipation compared to ED bars crossing the single joint.

In this paper, a new type of assembling rivet-fastened rectangular hollow flange beams (ARHFBs) is proposed. The cross-section of the ARHFB consists of two U-shaped and C-shaped components connected by self-locking rivets to form two rectangular hollow flanges. To study the performance and strength of the ARHFB as a flexural member, eight four-point bending tests and more than 40 simulation studies were carried out. The details, results, and comparison of the four-point bending tests, especially the characteristics of the test bench and the lateral support, are presented in this paper. ARHFB sections with varied rivet spacing, web depth, and flange width were experimentally studied. Additionally, a parametric study of ARHFB was conducted using finite element models verified by test results. The influence of span on the loading capacity of ARHFB was discussed. ARHFB can be used in large-span buildings. A more economical ARHFB component selection method was given. The depth of the flange, the strength of the web, and the thickness of the web are important parameters of ARHFB. The loading capacity obtained from the test was compared with the predicted values of the design formulas in the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) and the Chinese design standard for cold-rolled steel (GB50018). The calculation and verification of ARHFB flange buckling and lateral torsional buckling were also considered. It is recommended that GB50018 be used to predict the flexural capacity of ARHFBs.

The fitness condition of elementary school students is of particular concern in general, as today's technological advances and sedentary lifestyles greatly affect body mass index and physical fitness. This study aimed to determine the body mass index and physical fitness of elementary school students aged 10–12 years. The research method used in this study is a survey with a test approach and measurement of body condition. The subjects of this study used a population sampling technique by taking 1115 students from elementary schools in Kediri City and Regency. Research instruments used in the 2010 Indonesian Physical Fitness Test for children aged 10–12 years with 5 tests, namely 40 metres of running, bent elbow hanging test, sit-up test, upright jump test, vertical jump test, and 600-metre running test Measurement of body mass index (BMI) criteria in children aged 5–18 years based on height and weight owned by students The results of this study showed that male and female students in elementary schools in Kediri City and Regency got the results of the Body Mass Index (BMI) with a normal classification. The physical fitness results of male students in elementary schools in Kediri City and Regency show physical fitness results owned by sons with good classification. The physical fitness results of female students in elementary schools in Kediri City and Regency showed that most classifications were average. This study concludes that BMI and physical fitness must be maintained and improved. In the future, based on the results of this research, policies and methods will be needed so that BMI and student fitness will be even better.

With the growing concern about the security and privacy of smart grid systems, cyberattacks on critical power grid components, such as state estimation, have proven to be one of the top-priority cyber-related issues and have received significant attention in recent years. However, cyberattack detection in smart grids now faces new challenges, including privacy preservation and decentralized power zones with strategic data owners. To address these technical bottlenecks, this paper proposes a novel Federated Learning-based privacy-preserving and communication-efficient attack detection framework, known as FedDiSC, that enables Discrimination between power System disturbances and Cyberattacks. Specifically, we first propose a Federated Learning approach to enable Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition subsystems of decentralized power grid zones to collaboratively train an attack detection model without sharing sensitive power related data. Secondly, we put forward a representation learning-based Deep Auto-Encoder network to accurately detect power system and cybersecurity anomalies. Lastly, to adapt our proposed framework to the timeliness of real-world cyberattack detection in SGs, we leverage the use of a gradient privacy-preserving quantization scheme known as DP-SIGNSGD to improve its communication efficiency. Extensive simulations of the proposed framework on publicly available Industrial Control Systems datasets demonstrate that the proposed framework can achieve superior detection accuracy while preserving the privacy of sensitive power grid related information. Furthermore, we find that the gradient quantization scheme utilized improves communication efficiency by 40% when compared to a traditional federated learning approach without gradient quantization which suggests suitability in a real-world scenario.
