In the paper by Naveen et al. [IUCrData (2017), 2, x170234], there was an error in the name of one of the authors.

The title bis-chalcone compound, C24H16Cl2O2, crystallizes with one half-molecule in the asymmetric unit. The molecule has crystallographic inversion symmetry and lies about an inversion centre at the centroid of the central benzene ring. The olefinic double bonds adopt E configurations. The s-trans conformation of the central C—C bond of the enone group is confirmed by a C—C—C=C torsion angle of −162.88 (17)°.

The title bis-chalcone compound, C24H16F2O2, crystallizes with one half-molecule in the asymmetric unit. The molecule lies about an inversion centre at the centroid of the central benzene ring. The olefinic double bonds adopt E conformations. In the crystal, C—H...O hydrogen bonds form sheets of molecules in the ac plane and C—H...F hydrogen bonds form zigzag chains along the a-axis direction. These combine to generate a three-dimensional network of molecules stacked along the c-axis direction.

In the title compound, C15H14OS, the dihedral angle between the thiophene and benzene rings is 31.34 (13)°. The thiophene S atom and enone C=O group are approximately in an anti orientation. In the crystal, molecules are linked via pairs of very weak C—H-...O hydrogen bonds, forming inversion dimers with R22(16) ring motifs.

In the title compound, C15H15N3S2, the central pyrazole ring adopts a twisted conformation on the –CH—CH2– bond. Its mean plane makes dihedral angles of 7.19 (12) and 71.13 (11)° with those of the thiophene and toluene rings, respectively. The carbothiamide group [C(=S)—N] is inclined to the pyrazole ring mean plane by 16.8 (2)°. In the crystal, molecules are linked by N—H...S hydrogen bonds, forming chains propagating along [010]. Within the chains, there are N—H...π interactions present. Between the chains there are weak parallel slipped π–π interactions involving inversion-related thiophene and pyrazole rings [inter-centroid distance = 3.7516 (14) Å; inter-planar distance = 3.5987 (10) Å; slippage = 1.06 Å].

In the title compound, C15H13ClOS, the olefinic double bond adopts an E configuration. The molecule is nearly planar, as seen by the dihedral angle of 9.07 (8)° between the thiophene and phenyl rings. The trans configuration of the C=C double bond in the central enone group is confirmed by the C—C=C—C torsion angle of 177.6 (2)°. In the crystal, molecules are linked by weak C—H...O and C—H...S hydrogen bonds, forming chains propagating along the c axis.

The title compound, C17H18N2O3, crystallizes with two independent molecules (A and B) in the asymmetric unit. The dihedral angle between the 4-methoxyphenyl ring and the toluene ring is 88.13 (10)° in molecule A and 61.47 (10)° in molecule B. In the crystal, molecules are linked via pairs of N—H...O hydrogen bonds, forming A–A and B–B inversion dimers with R22(8) ring motifs. The B–B dimers are linked by C—H...O hydrogen bonds, forming chains propagating along the [110] direction. The molecules are also linked by a series of C—H...π interactions, forming a three-dimensional structure.

The title bis-chalcone compound, C19H14Cl2O, crystallizes with one half-molecule in the asymmetric unit. The molecule has crystallographic mirror symmetry with the C=O bond on the mirror plane. The molecule adopts an E configuration about the central olefinic bonds. In the crystal, molecules are linked via weak C—H...O hydrogen bonds, forming supramolecular chains propagating along the [100] direction.

The title compound, C13H13N2O3, a hydantoin derivative, crystallized with two molecules (A and B) in an asymmetric unit. In molecule A, the imidazolidine ring is twisted about the C—N bond involving the spiro C atom, while in molecule B this ring is flat (r.m.s. deviation = 0.010 Å). The pyran rings in both molecules have distorted half-chair conformations. The mean plane of the imidazolidine ring is inclined to the aromatic ring of the chroman unit by 79.71 (11)° in molecule A and 82.83 (12)° in molecule B. In the crystal, pairs of N—H...O hydrogen bonds link the individual molecules to form A–A and B–B inversion dimers. The dimers are linked via N—H...O and C—H...O hydrogen bonds, forming sheets lying parallel to the bc plane, viz. (011). Within the sheets, the A and B molecules are linked by C—H...π interactions.

The whole molecule of the title compound, C14H14N4, is generated by twofold rotation symmetry. The twofold axis bisects the central –CH2-CH2– bond and the planes of the pyridine rings are inclined to one another by 65.60 (7)°. In the crystal, there are no significant intermolecular interactions present.
