Güçlü yönler veya karakter güçleri pozitif psikolojinin önemli çalışma alanlarından birisini oluşturmaktadır.Alanyazında da, güçlü yönlere ilişkin araştırmaların çoğu pozitif psikoloji kapsamındadır. Okulda güçlü yönlerin desteklenmesi ve işlevsel olarak kullanılması önemlidir.Bu nedenle Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı da sınıf rehberlik programlarında güçlü yönlere yer vermiştir. Özellikle psikolojik danışma ve rehberlik hizmetlerinde güçlü yönlerden faydalanılabilir. Bu çalışmada, güçlü yönler temelli psikoeğitim programı hazırlanmıştır. Böylece, öğrencilerin güçlü yönlerini keşfetmesi ve işlevsel olarak kullanması hedeflenmiştir. Bu açıdan program, koruyucu ve önleyici psikolojik danışma ve rehberlik hizmetleri kapsamında değerlendirilebilir. Programın alt amaçları; güçlü yönleri anlama, karakter güçlerini sınıflama, güçlü yönlerini keşfetme, başkalarının gözünden güçlü yönlerini tanıma, güçlü yönlerini kullanabileceği alanları belirleme, okul başarısında ve günlük yaşamda güçlü yönleri kullanmadır. Program ergenlere yöneliktir ve 7. sınıftan 12. sınıfa kadar öğrenciler yararlanabilir. Her oturum 40 dakika ve toplamda 6 oturumdur. Program, deneysel olarak sınanmamış olup varsayımsal bir program türündedir. Bu nedenle, araştırmacıların bilimsel olarak programı sınaması ve etkililiğini paylaşması alanyazına katkı sağlayacaktır., Strengths or character strengths constitute one of the important study areas of positive psychology.In the literature, most of the research on strengths is within the scope of positive psychology. It is important to support and functionally use strengths at school. For this reason, the Ministry of National Education has included strengthsclassroom guidance programs. Strengths can be used especially in psychological counseling and guidance services. In this study, a strengths-based psychoeducation program was prepared. Thus, it is aimed that students discover their strengths and use them functionally. In this respect, the program can be evaluated within the scope of protective and preventive psychological counseling and guidance services.The sub-purpose of the program; understanding strengths, classifying character strengths, discovering strengths, recognizing strengths from the eyes of others, identifying areas where strengths can be used, using strengths in school success and daily life. The program is aimed at adolescents and students from grade 7 to grade 12 can benefit. Each session is 40 minutes and 6 sessions in total. The program is not experimentally tested and is of a hypothetical type.For this reason, researchers' testing the program scientifically and sharing its effectiveness will contribute to the literature.

Aydın il merkezinin hemen kuzeyinde bulunan Tralleis, antik çağda Maiandros nehri çevresinde konumlanan önemli antik kentlerdendir. Tralleis antik kenti 2007 yılı kazı çalışmalarında gymnasium alanında, Roma ve Bizans İmparatorluk Dönemlerine tarihlenen sikkeler ele geçen buluntular arasındadır. Sikkelerin çoğunluğu gymnasium alanı içerisindeki latrina ve dükkânlar bölümünde bulunmuştur. Bu çalışmada sikkelerin ilk teşhislerinden sonra kazı envanterine giren 78 adet Roma İmparatorluk Dönemi sikkesi incelenmiştir. Sikkelerden 30 tanesinin tespiti yapılmış ve kataloğu hazırlanmıştır. Katalogda incelenen sikkelerden 1 tanesi Tralleis’i temsil eden pseudo-otonom sikkesi, 29 tanesi ise devlet darbıdır. İncelenen sikkelerden Geç Roma İmparatorluk Dönemine tarihlenenler sayıca fazladır. II. Constantius (MS 337-361) 12 adetle en fazla sikkeye sahip imparatordur. Sikkeler 10 farklı darphanede darp edilmiştir.

Pozitif psikolojinin önemli çalışma konularından birisi bireyin güçlü yönleridir. Bu çalışmada, güçlü yönlerin/karakter güçlerinin sınıfta keşfedilmesi ve işlevsel olarak kullanılması üzerinde durulmaktadır. Öncelikle, güçlü yönlerin önemi vurgulanmaktadır. This study focuses on discovering and functionally using strengths/character strengths in the classroom. First, the importance of strengths is emphasized. Then, 6 virtues and 24 character strengths are briefly explained as a common classification of strengths in the literature. In the following, the importance of strengths for schools and school practices are briefly mentioned. The following part explained each of the classroom practices for strengths. The purpose of this article is to develop religious belief in children showing that it is necessary to benefit from the example of the Prophet Mohammad. Because abstract and metaphysical concepts such as Allah, angel, devil, the hereafter are difficult for the child to understand. In addition, this article aims to contribute to religious education and training for children in terms of content and language.Within the framework of the research, basic religious sources and works on child development will be examined by literature review and qualitative research method. Thus, a suggestion will be made regarding the method to be followed in the formation of religious belief in children and in religious education.Every child is born with a nature. Regardless, religious belief is formed and developed from childhood. For religious belief, the nature of the child is inclination to the religion of Islam. In terms of the religion of Islam, the basis of belief is metaphysics. In other words, it means believing in transphysical beings. These can be understood with the abstract thinking ability of human. However, whichever religion the child's family belongs to, the child grows up depending on that religion. For all that, childhood is the period when abstract thinking is at its weakest. In this period, children can understand the beings with analogies and examples. Learning largely by imitation. For this reason, concrete examples are of great importance in childhood. For example, besides the prayers and fasting of the family elders, touring religious places such as mosques or the lives of religious leaders are concrete examples. At this point, since the most important example for a Muslim is the Prophet, the morality of the prophet can easily be explained to the child. Because the religious elders, especially the prophets, are human beings. The child can easily understand and imitate people. On the other hand, since the foundation of religious belief is laid in childhood, these ages should be properly evaluated in terms of religion and pedagogy. Otherwise, some problems will become inevitable. For example, it is not right for us to remind the child of Allah's authority frequently to love religion and become more "religious". Likewise, it is also wrong to keep saying that Allah will burn bad people in order to prevent the child from bad behavior. It is known that such approaches cause psychological traumas in the child. For this reason, it is extremely risky to use abstract concepts and negative language for the formation of religious belief and religious education in the child. In addition, it may not be meaningful for a child who has not yet developed a pedagogical ability to think abstractly. Sometimes a child may even want to get away from religious things because things he doesn't understand are mentioned. So, should the child be kept away from religion at a period when he understands everything with concrete objects? Of course not, as the saying goes: "The tree branch should be bent when it is young".As a result, we think that teaching the life and exemplary personality of the Prophet is an accurate method in the process of the formation of religious belief in children. As a matter of fact, a person imitates who he loves and takes him as a role model. The more the child knows Muhammad, the more he imitates him in his actions. The process that starts with imitation turns into a conscious activity in the future if it is supported by training. This means that the child feels love of Allah through the love of the prophet. For this reason, we are of the opinion that religious elements such as the example of the Prophet, love of mosques, Ramadan and Eid of Ramadan are the primary source of religious education not only for adults but also for children., Bu makalenin amacı, çocuklarda dini inancın teşekkül sürecinde Allah, melek, şeytan, ahiret, cin gibi gaybî/soyut ve metafizik kavramlar yerine Hz. Peygamber’in (as) merkeze alınması gerektiğini ortaya koymaktır. Çocuklar Allah, ahiret, melek gibi gaybî kavramlarla karşılaştıklarında anlama sorunu ile karşılaşabilmektedir. Dahası bunun zaman zaman çocuklarda psikolojik travmalara neden olduğu gözlemlenmektedir. Çalışmamız temelde bu problem üzerine kuruludur. İnsan yapısı gereği İslam’ı kabule yatkındır. Dini inanç çocukluk çağından itibaren teşekkül etmekte ve ilerleyen yaşlarda kanıksanmakta veya zayıflamaktadır. İnsanın çocukluk çağı soyut düşüncenin en zayıf olduğu dönem olarak kabul edilir. Çocuk varlıkları benzetmelerle ve örneklerle anlayabilmekte ve dini inanç ile ibadetlere dair ilk oluşum taklit düzeyinde başlamaktadır. Bu aşama dini ve pedagojik açıdan doğru biçimde şekillenmediğinde birtakım sorunlar artık kaçınılmaz hale gelmektedir. Örneğin çocuğun dini sevmesi ve daha “dindar” olması için sıklıkla Allah’ın otoritesini hatırlatmak, çocuğu -eğitimle engellenemeyen- kötü davranışlardan men etmek için Allah’ın (günahkârları) yakıcı gücünü bir sopa gibi kullanmak aslında dini inancın hiç de sağlam temellere oturtulmadığı anlamına geldiği gibi bazen de çocukta ruhsal travmalara yol açtığı bilinmektedir. Mâmafih dinin gaybî/metafizik alanını çocuk terbiyesinde kullanmak istenmeyen sonuçlar verebilir. Bu araştırmada çocuklara yönelik din eğitimi ve çocuk terbiyesinde soyut/metafizik kavramlar yerine Hz. Peygamber örnekliğine yer verilmesi gerektiği dini ve pedagojik açıdan temellendirilmeye çalışılacaktır. Araştırma çerçevesinde temel dini kaynaklar ve çocuk gelişimine dair eserler kaynak taraması ve nitel araştırma yöntemi ile incelenecektir. Böylece çocukta dini inanıcın oluşumunda ve din eğitiminde izlenecek yönteme ilişkin öneride bulunulacaktır. Ayrıca bu makale ile çocuklara yönelik din eğitim ve öğretimine muhteva ve dil açısından katkı sağlanması amaçlanmaktadır.

In this study, we modified the combined Mustarde and Furnas type otoplasty technique and evaluated the postoperative results of the patients for symmetry and complications. Eighty prominent ears in 42 patients who underwent otoplasty between January 2017 and April 2019 were included in this study. The authors determined the amount of postauricular subcutaneous tissue to be removed according to the shape of skin incision and relocated the postauricular muscle as an adjunct to the Mustarde and Furnas otoplasty technique. All patients were followed-up at least 12 months postoperatively. The patients were also evaluated for early postoperative complications (bleeding, hematoma, perichondritis, wound infection, and skin necrosis), late postoperative complications (asymmetry, hypertrophic scars, suture extrusion, and recurrence), and patient satisfaction using objective and subjective methods.Considering all the patients, early complications consisted of minimal low-flow bleeding (n = 4 ears/4 patients), hematoma (n = 1), and perichondritis (n = 1). Late complications consisted of suture extrusion (n = 2 ears/2 patients), hypertrophic scars (n = 2 ears/2 patients), and asymmetry (n = 1). None of the patients presented with wound infection or skin necrosis. Revision otoplasty was unilaterally performed in only 1 patient with the complaint of asymmetry. A natural-looking, adequate correction, and symmetric ear shape were achieved in all patients except 1. In terms of patient satisfaction, 38 of 42 patients evaluated the outcome as "very good," 3 as "good," and only 1 as "poor." Our modified technique produced very satisfactory results and reduced the postoperative complication and asymmetry rates, as well as eliminating recurrence. The authors recommend this simple and safe procedure with excellent outcomes.

Bu araştırmanın amacı Kabul ve Kararlılık Terapisi (ACT) temelli psikoeğitim programının lise son sınıf öğrencilerinin sınav kaygısı düzeyine etkisinin incelenmesi ve geleneksel Bilişsel Davranışçı Terapi (BDT) ile karşılaştırılmasıdır. Zayıf deneysel desende gerçekleştirilen araştırmada veri toplama araçları olarak Kısa Semptom Envanteri, Sınav Kaygısı Envanteri, Kaçınma ve Birleşme Ölçeği Gençler-8 ve Otomatik Düşünceler Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya dâhil olma ölçütlerini karşılayan denekler ACT (11 Öğrenci), BDT (11 Öğrenci) ve kontrol (11 Öğrenci) grubu olmak üzere üç gruba atanmıştır. ACT grubunda yer alan deneklere yedi oturum, BDT grubunda yer alan deneklere sekiz oturum psikoeğitim programı yedi hafta süreyle uygulanmış; kontrol grubuna ise herhangi bir işlem uygulanmamıştır. Araştırma sonuçları ACT, BDT ve kontrol grubunda yer alan deneklerin SKE ön-test ve son-test ölçümlerinden elde ettikleri puan ortalamalarının anlamlı düzeyde farklılaştığını [F(2- 30) = 9.123; p3.49; qBDT =8.409, q>3.49; qkontrol =0.123, q0.0]. Bununla birlikte uygulama sonrasında ACT grubunda yer alan deneklerin kaçınma ve bilişsel birleşme düzeylerinde; BDT grubunda yer alan deneklerin ise otomatik düşünce düzeylerinde anlamlı azalma olduğu görülmüştür. Bu araştırma zayıf deneysel desende gerçekleşmesi nedeniyle güçlü neden sonuç ilişkileri kurumlasına imkân vermese de sonuç olarak, geleneksel BDT’ye göre yeni bir yaklaşım olan ACT’in öğrencilerin sınav kaygısını azaltmada kullanılabilecek etkili bir yaklaşım olduğuna dair önemli veriler sunmaktadır. The aim of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) based psychoeducation program on test anxiety of high school senior students and compare the effectiveness of traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Study was conducted in a pre-experimental design. Short Symptom Inventory, Test Anxiety Inventory, Avoidance and Fusion Scale Youth-8 and Automatic Thoughts Scale were used as data collection tools. Participants meeting the inclusion criteria were assigned to three groups as ACT (11 student), CBT (11 student) and control (11 student) group. ACT group received seven session and CBT group received eight session psychoeducation intervention for seven-week; control group received no intervention. The results of the study showed that; the mean scores of the subjects in the ACT, CBT and control groups obtained from the TAI pre-test and post-test measurements differ significantly [F(2-30) = 9.123; p3.49; qCBT =8.409, q>3.49; qControl =0.123, q0.05]. However, it was seen there was a significant decrease in avoidance and cognitive fusion levels of the participants of the ACT group and significant decrease in automatic thought levels of subjects in the CBT group. Although this study does not allow establishing strong cause and effect relationships due to its pre-experimental design, as a result, it provides important data that ACT, which is a new approach compared to traditional CBT, is an effective approach that can be used in reducing students’ test anxiety.
