Abstract

Currently, every electronic transaction involving important information requires a digital signature (DS). The procedure used to prove the authenticity of the DS, the authenticity of the sender's identity, and the non-repudiation of the DS can be carried out with authentication techniques. Signing the DS is done using a hash function. The message digest (MD) generated by the hash function (ℎ) will be encrypted by reversing the roles of the private and public keys in the Rivest-Shamir-Adleman (RSA) cryptographic algorithm. The main objective of this research is to propose DS authentication using the RSA algorithm. The signature is signed through MD encryption using the RSA algorithm using a private key PR{d, n}. The signature is verified by decrypting the DS using the public key PU{e, n}, thus getting the ℎ value. The h value is compared with the ℎ' value obtained from the value of the DI hash function of the checked DS. The result of this research is that the signature is verified to be authenticated, if the result is h = h′, then means that the received DS is genuine and comes from the signed user (user authentication), never modified (data integrity), and the sender can't deny the signature (non-repudiation). Abstract

Copper (Cu) is widely utilized as an electrode material due to its high conductivity and relatively low cost. This study aims to develop nanocomposite-modified Cu electrodes using polysulfone (PS), chitosan (CS), glutaraldehyde (GA), and zinc oxide (ZnO) to form PS-CS-GA/ZnO-NP modified Cu electrodes. The nanocomposite was prepared in the proportions of 48.8% PS, 24.4% CS, 24.4% ZnO, and 2.4% GA using the phase inversion method. The characterization of the PS-CS-GA/ZnO nanocomposite-modified Cu electrode was conducted using cyclic voltammetry with a 0.01 M K3[Fe(CN)6] in 0.1 M KCl. The cyclic voltammogram profile was obtained at a scan rate of 25 mV/s, exhibiting an ipa/ipc ratio of 0.93 within a potential of -1.5 to +0.4 V vs Ag/AgCl over 15 cycles. The FTIR spectrum of the PS-CS-GA/ZnO nanocomposite thin film displayed a peak at 1668 cm-1, indicating the presence of C=N groups, which suggests a cross-linking interaction between CS and GA.

Abstract

Nanofluid is a candidate for replacing conventional cooling fluid. The nanofluids can be applied as a cooling fluid for some equipment such as automotive and nuclear reactors. In this work, we prepared nanofluids using the synthesized Al2O3 nanoparticles. The synthesis was done as follows; precursor of Al(OH)3 was extracted from local bauxite using the Bayer process then calcined at 1000°C for 2 hours. The nanoparticles were characterized using X-ray diffraction, and the specific surface area was measured using a surface area meter. Nanofluids were prepared by dispersing the Al2O3 nanoparticles into water and ultrasonicated the mixture in an ultrasonic bath. The nanofluids were added with a dispersant of polyacrylic acid (PAA) with concentrations of 0, 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.04, and 0.05 g. We identified that the Al2O3 nanoparticles had two phases or structures, alpha with crystallite size of 80 nm and gamma with crystallite size of 5 nm, and lattice constant (a= 4.76 nm, c=12.73 nm) for alpha and 7.89 nm for gamma. According to surface area data, the Al2O3 nanoparticles had a specific surface area of 56.7 m2/gr with BET particles size of 28.2 nm. The zeta potential data showed that the prepared nanofluids were stable with -47.7 to -57.8 mV zeta potential. This data showed that the nanofluids had the potential to be applied as cooling fluids. Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an infectious disease with high morbidity and mortality rates worldwide. Two-fifths of the population lives in areas prone to contracting the dengue virus in tropical and subtropical countries. In Indonesia, dengue disease is an endemic problem that spreads in 33 provinces. One way to prevent the transmission of DHF disease is to kill mosquitoes using mosquito repellent spray, electric or mosquito coils. Regular use of household aerosols for mosquito control is widespread, especially during outbreaks of dengue fever, chikungunya, and Zika. In this study, it will be proven whether, in the use of mosquito repellent made from active transfluthrin, the remaining residue attached to indoor items is still within safe limits if exposed to the skin or inhaled by humans. The purpose of this study was to determine the content of transfluthrin mosquito repellent pesticide residues on the surface of objects in the room still below the maximum limit required using the Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) tool as well as the development of measurement analysis methods for Lienarity, Recovery, Precision/Specivity, Quantitative Limit, and Detection Limit. The study's results on measuring Transfluthrin residues using GCMS with a data collection height of 100-200 cm obtained a concentration range of 22-149 mg/kg. Validation test of the analysis method obtained LOD: 0.005 (µg/ml), LOQ: 0.016 (µg/ml), RSD system conformance test: 0.118%, Linear Regression Linearity (r2): 0.99946, %Recovery: 102.00%, Placebo specificity: does not show a peak at Transfluthrin retention time.

Abstract

Polypyrrole (PPy) is widely regarded as a useful electrode material because it has the advantages of low cost, high electrical conductivity, and thermal stability. This study aimed to synthesize PPy membranes using polyphenol oxidase (PPO) isolated from white oyster mushrooms as a biocatalyst for processing textile wastewater. The membranes were produced through the electropolymerization of pyrrole (Py) using the electrodeposition method. The raw materials comprised 0.05 M Py and crude PPO white oyster mushroom extract at 35% v/v in citrate buffer pH = 6.8. The electrolysis process was performed at 6.00 V and 1.063-1.142 A using 16.57-48.97% immobilized PPO in PPy, PPO activity of 1.640-4.160 U, and 0.35 mM phenol as a substrate. The results showed that the use of the membrane in textile wastewater with a discontinuous flow caused a decrease of pH by 14.86%, phenol by 6.80%, Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) by 81.30%, Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) by 78.25%, and Total Suspended Solids (TSS) by 20.65%. Meanwhile, using the sample with a continuous flow caused a decrease of pH by 23.97%, phenol by 26.09%, COD by 88.50%, BOD by 78.00%, and TSS by 65.70%. The physical performance of membrane application to textile wastewater with discontinuous (flow rate = 48.19-51.50 L/h, flux = 3191.6-3387.5 L.m-2.h-1, and permeability = 319.2-338.7 Lm-2.h-1.bar) and continuous flow (flow rate = 48.19 L/h, flux = 3191.6 Lm-2.h-1, and permeability = 319.2 Lm-2.h-1.bar) was also assessed in this study. Abstract

This research aims to create and evaluate the performance of environmentally friendly biobattery based on carrageenan and rotten tomatoes to reduce B3 waste. To make a biobattery based on carrageenan and rotten tomatoes, five ratios of carrageenan and rotten tomatoes mixtures were used with the composition of carrageenan values of 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5% for each type of battery. The parameters observed in this study were the potential difference, current strength, and stability of the biobattery. Carrageenan was added to prevent battery leakage and maintain battery stability. As a result, the biobattery has a potential difference value equivalent to a commercial battery, namely 1.5 V, but the current generated is still low. On the other hand, biobatteries can be applied to alarm clocks. The difference in carrageenan concentration has no significant effect on the value of potential difference, current strength, power, recharging ability, and application on wall clocks, as well as the stability of the biobattery. The experiment was carried out with the hypothesis that husk ash can absorb rotten tomatoes, preventing electrolyte leakage. However, the resulting biobattery is still leaking. After that, we modified it again by using electrolytes made from rotten tomatoes and coconut dregs, but the leakage was still the same. Therefore, the biobattery made from a combination of carrageenan and rotten tomatoes was assumed to keep the battery more stable and prevent leakage. This research was expected to contribute to the development of environmentally friendly batteries to reduce B3 waste, along with the increasing need for batteries in the era of industrial revolution 4.0.

Abstract

The global COVID-19 pandemic has caused panic. In addition, it disrupted life and economic activities around the world. Prediction of the stock market during the COVID-19 pandemic became a major challenge because the data was not stationary, random, and complex nonlinear system. For this reason, an in-depth study of the following trends is required to develop an adequate predictive model to predict the stock market during the pandemic. This study designs a stock market prediction model during the COVID-19 pandemic on the Indonesia Stock Exchange using a deep learning approach based on artificial neural networks. The object of this research is the pharmaceutical industry in the health sector listed on the IDX. The input variables are the proposed model for predicting stock prices with daily stock price movements, including COVID-19 trend indicators, and the government's response tightness index to COVID-19 in Indonesia. The study results show that all proposed model systems achieve highly accurate forecasting for the stock market price prediction with MAPE 10%. Model 6-20-20-1 is the best model of all tested models, with MSE = 0.00055, RMSE = 0.007418, and MAPE = 1.17%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
