Cyclones tracking northward across the Bay of Bengal represent a significant threat to life and safety when they make landfall. Surface moorings of the Ocean Moored Network for the Northern Indian Ocean in the Bay of Bengal have been deployed to provide real-time observations in support of improved alerts and predictions of cyclones. Engineering goals are both to develop robust surface moorings that survive and to field meteorological and oceanographic instruments that reliably provide data in real time. While the mooring design and reliability were previously reported, the focus here is on the motivations for installing the instrumentation, and on experience gained during the passage of cyclone Amphan in May 2020, examining the sensor as well as mooring performance. The paper presents reasons for fielding the chosen sensors, merits, and shortcomings during the effort to observe Amphan, and recommendations for how to better address the challenges of providing real-time observations of cyclones in the Bay of Bengal. The fundamental ocean properties are vital in predicting the earth's climate. Such predictions are essential for human life in various terrestrial applications. Therefore, to forecast the parametric variations in the Bay of Bengal with less prediction error, a Heuristic Neural Network (HNN) is proposed by optimizing the solutions of Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) using swarm intelligence by Repeated Iterative Technique (RIT). The existing algorithms have proved better accuracy only during the sea surface prediction of temperature. The proposed HNN model predicts dominant parameters of the Bay of Bengal for its horizontal and vertical variations from 10 to 2000 m depth. The efficiency of the proposed HNN model is verified by comparing the results with recent prediction algorithms in fusion with LSTM, from which the outcome reveals that the proposed HNN model obtains 98.9% for temperature prediction, 99% for pressure, 98.8% for salinity, and 98.1% for density prediction. Increasing life expectancy and sedentary lifestyle in the elderly have an impact on physical changes, especially degenerative joint disease. Exercise is a modality that can provide physiological and therapeutic effects so that it can prevent, treat, and improve the quality of health. However, to find an exercise design that has the desired therapeutic effect requires a long journey and in-depth study. Many recent studies have shown that exercise initiates the secretion of proteins and tissue regeneration hormones which are very necessary for anti-aging in the elderly. The purpose of this study is to further enrich the exercise design which can be used as a reference for the high-risk elderly population and the elderly in general so that the quality of life and life expectancy are getting longer. The research method used pre and post design experimental studies through the purposive sampling technique method which was divided into 4 groups consisting of the control group, experimental group 1 and experimental group 2 which were carried out in August-October 2022 at Balai Warga RT 08 Kembangan Village, West Jakarta. Samples that met the inclusive and exclusion criteria were obtained by 18 respondents. To determine the range of motion and balance function assessment, the sample was measured with a range of motion and balance test instrument. Data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test to determine the effect of stabilization exercises on joint motion and balance function. Statistical test results p=0,001, (p0.05). Untuk mengetahui hubungan grade luka terhadap Quality of Life (QOL) pada Diabetic Foot Ulcer (DFU). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional. Sampel penelitian ini berupa pasien DFU Rumah Luka Sidoarjo yang dipilih secara purposive sampling dengan jumlah 30 responden. Pengukuran grade luka pada DFU yang diukur dengan menggunakan Meggit – Wagner System dan QOL diukur dengan 36-Item Short Form Health Survey (SF-36). nilai mean dan standar deviasi dari grade luka pada DFU sebesar 1,67±0,84 dan QOL sebesar 52,49±19,68. nilai p = 0,010 artinya terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara grade luka dan QOL, dimana sampel dengan grade luka 1 memiliki perbandigan proporsi QOL tinggi lebih banyak dibandingkan grade luka 2,3,4 Ada hubungan searah antara grade luka dengan QOL, semakin kecil grade luka maka QOL maka semakin tinggi.

Nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) is a leading cause for chronic liver diseases. Current therapeutic options are limited due to an incomplete mechanistic understanding of how steatosis transitions to NASH. Here we show that the TRIM21 E3 ubiquitin ligase is induced by the synergistic actions of proinflammatory TNF-α and fatty acids in livers of humans and mice with NASH. TRIM21 ubiquitinates and degrades ChREBP, SREBP1, ACC1, and FASN, key regulators of de novo lipogenesis, and A1CF, an alternative splicing regulator of the high-activity ketohexokinase-C (KHK-C) isoform and rate-limiting enzyme of fructose metabolism. TRIM21-mediated degradation of these lipogenic activators improved steatosis and hyperglycemia as well as fructose and glucose tolerance. Our study identifies TRIM21 as a negative regulator of liver steatosis in NASH and provides mechanistic insights into an immunometabolic crosstalk that limits fatty acid synthesis and fructose metabolism during metabolic stress. Thus, enhancing this natural counteracting force of steatosis through inhibition of key lipogenic activators via TRIM21-mediated ubiquitination may provide a therapeutic opportunity to treat NASH.

Background: Probing of periodontal pockets is an essential part in the diagnosis of periodontal disease. Fifteen to seventy-seven percent of untreated periodontal patients experience pain during probing. Hence, the aim of this study is to evaluate the pain perceived by patients with gingivitis and periodontitis during periodontal probing. The goals of this study were to compare the patients’ pain perception when using a conventional UNC15 probe and a manual pressure sensitive periodontal probe, and to relate the clinical features of gingivitis and periodontitis to the discomfort associated with periodontal probing. Material and Methods: A total of 475 subjects were recruited into the study. The subjects were initially divided into two groups – Group – A (Gingivitis group—275 patients) and Group – B (Chronic Periodontitis group -200 patients) according to the AAP 1999 Classification. These two groups were further subdivided into two groups each (Gingivitis – Conventional Probe – GCP, Gingivitis – Manual Pressure Sensitive Probe – GMPS, Periodontitis—Conventional Probe – PCP, Periodontitis – Manual Pressure Sensitive Probe – PMPS) using a computer generated program of random numbers. Results: A significant difference was noted in pain perception when pressure sensitive probe was used compared to conventional UNC-15 probe.
