This paper presents a functional analysis of the grammar of the article in Portuguese. The article is seen as a morphological category that serves to differentiate the modes of substantive nomination in speech. A special status of the article in Portuguese, compared with the other grammatical categories, is underscored. Unlike other categories, that are mainly illustrative, serving to describe the object, the article characterizes the subjective mode of reference of the sign to the object. The function of the article has three aspects: true side (referential basis), pragmatic (communicational stress) and stylistic (cultural value). Several linguistic approaches to the article, covering these three functional aspects, are examined. Three modes of substantive nomination are pointed out: definite article nomination, indefinite article nomination and without article nomination (d/a-nomination, i/a-nomination, w/a-nomination). The functional meanings of the three nominative modes are correlated with all functional semantic aspects: referential, pragmatic and stylistic. The difference between the grammar of the article in substantive word-combinations and the grammar of the article in predicative constructions is outlined. On the one hand, it is an attributive and complementive grammar of the article within a substantive phrase. On the other hand, the article marks the function of a syntactic actant in the sentence. At this level, the article obtains the capacity to be an instrument to stress the rhema accent in linear structure of the utterance. At this level too, the article reveals its stylistic function. The paper presents a number of examples that show the use or omission of the article in the sentence according to its function. A brief summary presents the parameters of interpretation and differentiation of various types of substantive nominations in Portuguese with regard to the function of the article: reference, indication, quality, rhema-stressing, context newness. The paper may be of interest to the linguists specializing in the sphere of grammar of Portuguese and other Romance or German languages.

Introduction. In recent years, the world has seen an increase in the number of patients with difficulty in nasal breathing due to nasal obstruction, one of the causes of which are functional disorders of the nasal mucosa in various forms of rhinitis. Frequent use of intranasal decongestants among the population further contributes to the lack of effectiveness of conservative treatment and the need for surgical correction to restore free nasal breathing. This article discusses the possibility of using a homeopathic preparation containing calendula, witch hazel, aesculus, menthol and zinc oxide in patients with nasal obstruction in vasomotor and chronic subatrophic rhinitis to stop the clinical manifestations of the disease and improve the quality of life of patients. Аim. Тo evaluate the effectiveness of a drug containing calendula, witch hazel, aesculus, menthol and zinc oxide in patients with vasomotor and chronic subatrophic rhinitis in the complex treatment of nasal obstruction. Мaterials and methods. The study involved 48 adult patients of both sexes, aged 20 to 50 years, diagnosed with vasomotor (idiopathic) rhinitis in 24 and chronic subatrophic rhinitis in 24 patients. The studied preparation containing calendula, witch hazel, esculus, menthol and zinc oxide was smeared on the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity by laying gauze turundas for 5 minutes, 3 times a day, while the course of treatment was 10 days. The efficacy and safety of the drug was assessed by the dynamics of the severity of subjective symptoms, objective clinical data during control examinations by an otorhinolaryngologist in points, as well as by the presence of side effects in the treatment of the disease. Results. Results of the study showed a pronounced positive trend in the form of relief of subjective complaints and the main clinical manifestations of the disease, accompanied by an improvement in the quality of life in patients in both groups examined during treatment. Side effects were not observed in patients in both study groups. Conclusions. Based on the results of the study, conclusions were drawn about the efficacy and safety of using a complex homeopathic preparation containing calendula, witch hazel, esculus, menthol and zinc oxide in an adult group of patients with nasal obstruction, which makes it possible to recommend it for widespread use for the complex treatment of nasal syndrome. obstruction in vasomotor and chronic subatrophic rhinitis, as well as other forms of rhinitis accompanied by nasal obstruction syndrome.

We considered the methodological aspects of increasing the efficiency of active-pulse systems for viewing objects with quasi-zero contrast based on two-dimensional registration of the intensity of time-truncated realizations of reflected light fields. We demonstrated the advantages of the proposed method for increasing the reliability of detection and differentiation of objects with quasi-zero contrast as compared with the known methods of optical contrast vision.

Gangliosides are complex glycosphingolipids which contain ceramide and various oligosaccharides usually bearing sialic acids. An interesting feature of gangliosides is that their quantitative and qualitative composition changes during oncogenesis. This process is specific and depends on the histological type of a tumor and its functional status even within one neoplasm. On the other hand, latest advances in understanding structural and functional organization of glycosphingolipids, and primarily insights into lipid raft formation, showed that gangliosides may take part in the regulation of the activity of kinases mediating the modulation of signaling pathways involved in the malignant potential of cells. This article describes basic concepts of gangliosides and their biological role in signaling pathways involved in tumor development. We focused on experimental studies revealing both inhibitory and activating effects on important protein receptors responsible for cell proliferation, differentiation and death.

Infantile fibrosarcoma (IFS) is a rare malignant soft tissue tumor characterized by local invasion, a low rate of distant metastasis (1–13%), and manifestation during the first years of life. Overall survival rates range from 89 to 94%, event-free survival rates – from 81 to 84%. Classic IFS is characterized by t(12;15)(p13;q25) translocation resulting in the formation of the ETV6-NTRK3 fusion transcript. However, over the past few years, there have been numerous reports of IFS-like tumors with non-canonical genetic aberrations (BRAF, NTRK1, MET genes) whose prognosis is less predictable. Here we report a rare case of congenital IFS with involvement of subcutaneous fat, indolent course and a non-canonical TPM3-NTRK1 fusion transcript identified in the soft tissue and intradermal tumor components with different histological features. The patient’s parents gave their consent to the use of their child’s data, including photographs, for research purposes and in publications. The literature review explores modern algorithms for the diagnosis and treatment of IFS in children, including the use of new therapies, such as tropomyosin receptor kinase inhibitors, as well as algorithms for detecting NTRK1, NTRK2, NTRK3 gene rearrangements in solid neoplasms in general, and soft tissue tumors in particular.

Spina bifida is a developmental defect of the spinal cord and / or spine that results from abnormal closure of the embryonic neural tube. Many factors have been described to determine the risks of developing this pathology, but the incidence of the defect is still high. 61 % of patients with Spina bifida have neurogenic bladder dysfunction based on intravesical hypertension, which contributes to reverse urethral flow and bladder-uretero-renal reflux associated with chronic inflammatory and obstructive urinary tract disease. In 25-50 % of patients with Spina bifida, urological pathology is complicated by the development of chronic kidney disease, which significantly reduces the quality of life of these patients. In some types of Spina bifida, urological symptoms may be prominent or even isolated and may indicate the presence of the malformation. Therefore, early diagnosis of Spina bifida and timely prophylactic and therapeutic measures are of particular importance.

We consider the second boundary-value problem for a second-order differential-difference equation with variable coefficients on the interval (0,d). We investigate the existence of a generalized solution and obtain conditions on the right-hand side of the equation which ensure the smoothness of generalized solutions on the entire interval (0,d).

The dissociation phenomenon of epizootic cultures of Moraxella was studied. The study was conducted in economic entities of Almaty region of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 233 heads of cattle with clinical signs of keratoconjunctivitis. Isolation of the causative agent of Moraxella was performed by bacteriological washes from the conjunctival sacs of the eyes of animals. The laboratory study was carried out according to the approved methodological guidelines. It was found that bacteria of the genus Moraxella dissociate when grown on a solid nutrient medium for more than 6 hours in a thermostat at 37 °C. The bacteria were studied by the following methods: staining according to White-Wilson, thermoagglutination and acriflavine assay. When evaluating the grown colonies according to White-Wilson, the optimal dilution for crystal violet was found to be 1 : 2000, and for gentian violet stain 1 : 1000. In this case, the colonies in the S-form have a dark purple color with a metallic tint, and the dissociated colonies in the R-form do not stain. In the presence of dissociated cells, precipitation (thermoagglutination), sediment formation and clearing of the supernatant fluid at 90 °C for 30 minutes were noted. The suspension of undissociated colonies remained cloudy. When weighing microbial cells isolated by a bacterial loop from individual grown colonies in a solution of acriflavine, dissociated bacteria stick together to form conglomerates. When studying the antigenic activity of the S-, R- forms of Moraxella, it was revealed that the activity of the S-antigen significantly exceeded that of the R-forms. Data on the dissociation of Moraxella cultures can be used for the development of diagnostic and prophylactic drugs against moraxellosis in cattle.

Titanium dioxide (TiO2) micropowders widely used in modern food industry may contain particles in highly-toxic nanoform. Unlike micrometer-sized crystals, which cannot penetrate cell membranes, TiO2 nanofraction causes the liver function damage, intestinal inflammatory response, and oxidative metabolism imbalance. In this study, we demonstrate the possibility of utilizing Raman spectroscopy for fast detection of nanofractions against the background of anatase TiO2 micropowders. The results reveal that the presence of nanofractions leads to the appearance of several physically-grounded features in Raman spectra of TiO2 associated with the weakening of the selection rules for first-order scattering processes, the size-related frequency shift of Raman-active vibrations, and the enhanced contribution of Raman processes related to the surface states. In combination with standard microfiltration methods, these Raman markers provide a simple method for express control of highly-toxic nanofractions in TiO2 micropowders used in the food industry.

An effective method for preventing the operation of computer network nodes for organizing a botnet is proposed. A botnet is a collection of devices connected via the Internet for the purpose of organizing DDoS attacks, stealing data, sending spam and other malicious actions. The described method implies the detection of generated domain names in DNS queries using a neural network with parallel organization of convolutional and bidirectional recurrent layers. The effectiveness of the method is based on the assumption that generated domain names are used to create a botnet for merging. Experiments confirm that the proposed neural network is superior to the accuracy of existing counterparts on the UMUDGA dataset. The estimation of the quality of recognition of generated domain names using ROC analysis is calculated for a trained neural network. The article also formulates a model for controlling detectors using a partially observable Markov decisionmaking process to block infected nodes of a computer network. The search for the optimal policy for the formulated model by means of Q-learning of value agents is proposed. A comparative analysis of the average, minimum and maximum value of actions taken by agents in the process of interacting with the environment is carried out.

A number of optimal parameters determining the efficiency and rate of the strontium removal by a granular sorbent synthesized by the interaction of KMnO4 and concentrated H2O2 solution have been determined. The optimal drying temperature was found to be 400 °C at an average grain size of 0.1–0.2 mm. The average value of the strontium distribution coefficient in seawater equaled to 1.4–1.5 × 103 mL/g at the V/m ratio of 1000 mL/g ratio. The maximum value of adsorption in a single-component solution calculated using the Langmuir equation was equal to 1.0–1.1 mmol/g and corresponded to total dynamic exchange capacity. As the number of sorption-desorption cycles increased, total dynamic exchange capacity gradually decreased. The efficiency of Sr-90 removal from real liquid radioactive waste streams has been evaluated.

SMS is a rare pathology of the paranasal sinuses, accompanied by such symptoms as pain in the eye area, enophthalmos and hypophthalmos on the side of the localization of the process, facial asymmetry caused by a decrease in the volume of the maxillary sinus due to its atelectasis in the presence of chronic inflammation in it. The disease, as a rule, proceeds under the primary diagnosis of chronic rhinosinusitis. The main pathogenetic link of the disease is generally accepted as the block of the anastomosis and the emergence of the valve mechanism of ventilation of the maxillary sinus. However, the immediate cause of the onset of atelectasis remains a subject of discussion to this day. The only effective surgical treatment is to restore ventilation of the maxillary sinus by expanding the anastomosis and eliminating the cause of its block. With a pronounced asymmetry of the face due to the lowering of the orbit, the plastic of the lower wall of the orbit is performed. The article discusses modern ideas about the silent sinus syndrome, its etiology, pathogenesis, clinical course and treatment tactics for patients, presents two clinical observations of patients with silent sinus syndrome and describes the options for surgical treatment and its results.

This article explores both popular and newly invented tools for extracting data from sites and converting them into a form suitable for analysis. The paper compares the Python libraries, the key criterion of the compared tools is their performance. The results will be grouped by sites, tools used and number of iterations, and then presented in graphical form. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the field of application of data extraction tools: we will receive and transform semistructured data from the websites of bookmakers and betting exchanges. The article also describes new tools that are currently not in great demand in the field of parsing and web scraping. As a result of the study, quantitative metrics were obtained for all the tools used and the libraries that were most suitable for the rapid extraction and processing of information in large quantities were selected.

The technology of obtaining coatings consisting of alumina nanoparticles and their agglomerates is presented. The transport properties of coatings and the change of these properties with time are investigated. The dependence of the height of capillary ascent on the quantity of deposited nanofluid on substrates has been established. An estimate of the change in the height of liquid rise and of the permeability of a coating with the change in the size of particles has been made. Deterioration of the transport properties of porous coatings consisting of alumina nanoparticles with time is investigated, and the possibility of restoring these properties is shown.

The modern development of computer and mathematical technologies makes it possible to improve the study of the movement of biological objects of extremely small sizes, including the cilia of epithelial cells of the upper respiratory tract. One of the directions of such research is the mathematical processing of video recordings that record the movement of the cilia of the epithelium of the respiratory tract. The methodology for conducting such studies is laborious and time-consuming. Such research is of a fundamental nature and is carried out primarily for scientific purposes. At the same time, clinical practice requires a fairly simple, objective method for diagnosing the disorder, which allows you to quickly obtain a result in inpatient and outpatient settings. The article presents the results of the development of algorithms for fundamental and applied research of the motor activity of the cilia of the epithelium of the upper respiratory tract using television microscopy and computer mathematical processing. The algorithms and integral criteria developed by the authors for an objective assessment of the motor activity of cilia make it possible to choose a research method depending on the goal. The use of an in-depth fundamental method in research work allows to reveal in detail the mechanism of impairment of motor activity of cilia beating. The use of the method of express diagnostics of cilia movements makes it possible to diagnose a violation, prescribe adequate treatment for correction and objectively evaluate its effectiveness.

The relevance of the research is to justify one of the possible ways to link the results of agricultural land use with their quality and measures of agro-industrial impact. The aim of the study was to identify the correlation between the sets of variables that characterize various aspects of agricultural land use in the Moscow region. The obtained results and conclusions of the research can be used for formation an interregional platform for the exchange of experience and knowledge, preparation analytical materials for relevant government decisions aimed at acceleration of innovative development in rural areas, and draw up and update longterm national and regional programs of economic development.

The paper proposes effective method of computer network protection from data exfiltration by the system of domain names. Data exfiltration by Domain Name System (DNS) is an approach to conceal the transfer of confidential data to remote adversary using data encapsulation into the requesting domain name. The DNS requests that transfer stolen information from a host infected by malicious software to an external host controlled by a malefactor are considered. The paper proposes a method of detecting such DNS requests based on text classification of domain names by convolutional neural network. The efficiency of the method is based on assumption that domain names exploited for data exfiltration differ from domain names formed from words of natural language. To classify the requests in convolutional neural network the use of character embedding for representing the string of a domain name is proposed. Quality evaluation of the trained neural network used for recognition of data exfiltration through domain name system using ROC-analysis is performed.The paper presents the software architecture used for deployment of trained neural network into existing infrastructure of the domain name system targeting practical computer networks protection from data exfiltration. The architecture implies creation of response policy zones for blocking of individual requests, classified as malicious.
