Background: The Arbaeen march ritual stands as one of the largest congregations, attended by tens of millions every year. Given the large number of participants in this ritual, it is essential to minimize the health repercussions for pilgrims and ensure their prompt access to medical care. The present study was conducted to analyze the healthcare services during the 2019 Arbaeen march. Materials and Methods: Employing a qualitative approach, this study utilized various data collection methods, including in-depth and semi-structured interviews, field observations, and document review. The target population comprised healthcare decision-makers, managers, and providers of the 2019 Arbaeen march. The interview and data collection guide were developed in accordance with the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines. Data collection continued until data saturation. Directed content analysis was employed to analyze the data. Results: Data saturation was achieved after conducting 30 personal interviews. Out of the challenges and significant factors found in healthcare deliveries during the Imam Hussein (AS) Arbaeen march, 9 main themes and categories were identified: Trauma system, disease surveillance system, health issues, health education and promotion, healthcare coordination and collaboration command in the health system, information and communication management, response planning, support and resource management, and safety and security. Conclusion: This study identified the major healthcare issues in the AS Arbaeen march, serving as an evidence-based guide for policymakers and planners of this famous religious ritual. This research presents a numerical investigation of the flow field and heat transfer of a Viscoplastic fluid, The Bingham-Papanastasiou model is used to examine the flow field and forced convection heat transfer of a Viscoplastic fluid between two concentric cylinders with a wavy inner surface. By focusing on this particular configuration (wavy inner cylinder shape), where the inner surface exhibits as the hot wall while the outer surface is considered as the cold wall. This investigation is numerically achieved by using the Comsol Multiphysics, which is based on the finite-volume method, employing Galerkin's method for solving the governing equations. The parameters studied in this research are expressed with the following values: r/R=1/3, Reynolds number (Re=1, 10, 50), and undulation number (nu=0, 6, 12, 24). Increasing the inertia parameter results in a higher intensity of thermal buoyancy, positively influencing heat transfer, particularly at Re=50. Furthermore, the acceleration of flow within the investigated space improves the hydrodynamic behavior, facilitating the exchange of thermal energy between the hot and cold walls. Additionally, it has been discovered that an undulating shape with a specific number of undulations (nu=6) maximizes hydrothermal performance within the investigated volume. The presence of these undulations enhances fluid mixing and disrupts the formation of stagnant regions, which leading to improved heat transfer. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

As semi-airborne mineral exploration has a limited budget, it is critical to design experimental procedures that generate data to maximize desired information. We investigated the effects of transmitter–receiver geometries for a variety of anomalies and semi-airborne layouts. Our simulations indicated that flight line spacing of 200 m and a point distance of 100 m provides the optimal trade-off between coverage and survey progress for various targets. Based on the target size and distance between the transmitter and the target, the transmitter length should be at least equal to the length of the target. However, where the distance between the transmitter and the target is more than 1 km, the transmitter length should be at least two or three times the target size. Of similar importance are the location and direction of the transmitter cables, which can have a significant impact on the result of inversion and should be parallel to the target strike. By using more than one transmitter, better results can be obtained. If the strike of the target is known, transmitters should be parallel to each other, and if not, it is better to use perpendicular transmitters. The results of this study showed that the optimal distance between transmitters is 3 km. Our simulations showed that it is even possible to recover targets just below the transmitter in corresponding areas of masked data. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background and Aims: As a debilitating disorder, spinal cord injuries (SCIs) can bring about a range of physical, psychological, and social consequences in individuals and even have effects on their lifestyle indicators. The present study was thus to reflect on lifestyles among people with SCIs developing from accidents and disasters. Methods: Using a meta‐synthesis of qualitative research, all articles recruiting qualitative methods to examine patients with SCIs, published from 1990 to 2020, were retrieved by the researchers, good at the Persian and English languages, from the databases of ScienceDirect, MD Consult, Pedro, ProQuest, PubMed, SID, MedLib, Magiran, Scopus, Google Scholar, Iranmedex, the Cochran Library, CINAHL, and Blackwell, tapping the keywords of "spinal cord injury, SCI, manmade disaster, natural disaster, content analysis, concept analysis, thematic analysis, lifestyle, quality of life, QoL, grounded theory, meta‐synthesis, mixed‐methods research, historical research, ethnography, and phenomenology" in both languages for their inclusion in this study and further analyses. Results: With reference to the inclusion criteria, 18 articles were extracted, and after all 10 studies in line with the research topic were reviewed and analyzed. Ultimately, six main themes, namely, compromise, self‐reliance, income‐generating activities, mental status, inability, and issues of sexuality were extracted, demonstrating their importance to individuals suffering from SCIs. Conclusion: During the initial stages following SCIs, the abilities to engage in participatory practices and individual's power of decision‐making diminish because of physical, social, psychological, and environmental constraints. It was accordingly recommended to have a holistic perspective and respect all aspects of life in individuals with SCIs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aim: This study aimed to estimate the survival rates among Iranian gastric cancer patients and to evaluate if the survival has improved during the last three decades. Background: Gastric cancer is one of the most common cancers in Iran with high mortality. Methods: A systematic review and meta-analysis of all published studies addressing gastric cancer survival in Iran was performed. International databases of Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed, and Iranian databases were included in the study. The study included databases from their inception till February 2022. Due to the inherent heterogeneity, we used a random effect model to pool the survivals in three categories of one, three, and five-year survivals. Results: Thirty-three studies with total cases of 17,207 were included in the study. The overall (pooled) one, three, and five-year survivals were estimated as 58.9% (95% CI: 0.52, 0.66), 29.9% (95% CI: 0.25, 0.35), and 18.2% (95% CI: 0.15, 0.23), respectively. Results of subgroup analysis for the calendar years of study showed that the one, three, and five-year survival rates increased during the last three decades but the results were not statistically significant. There was the disparity in survival based on geographic distribution. Conclusion: The results of our study which has pooled many studies for a long period of time clearly indicate that the survival rates of gastric cancer patients have improved. As the improvement of survival may be due to many factors, more studies is needed to understand the dynamic behind this improvement. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Colorectal cancer is one of the most prevalent types of cancer in Iran. Detection and removal of polyps in colorectal cancer can significantly decrease the morbidity and mortality of the disease. The present study aimed to describe the characteristics of patients who had been detected with colorectal neoplasia. Method: This descriptive study was conducted on all the people who had been referred to the Research Institute for Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases for receiving colonoscopy services during 2017-2019. Information was collected through questionnaires designed based on four categories, namely personal information, clinical history, pharmacological history, and pathological results. We used logistic regression analysis to investigate the relationship between independent risk factors and colorectal neoplasia. Results: The total number of the patients referred to the hospital was 2826. The percentage of males was 43.06. There was a low statistically significant relationship between gender and having neoplasia (P = 0.053). We found that the history of diabetes was associated with neoplasia (P = 0.007). Watery diarrhea and abdominal pain had a relationship with colorectal neoplasia and P-values; they were both below 0.001. Moreover, weight loss and inflammatory bowel disease had a significant statistical relationship and P-values were 0.02 and <0.001, respectively. Conclusion: In Iran, most colonic polyps are located in the left colon and also polyps that are situated in different locations. Our study could strongly suggest some important risk factors, such as age, smoking, and body mass index, whose impact on colorectal neoplasia has been reported by other papers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
