The present paper shows the innovative deployable reflectarray antenna concept that enables to stow a 1m-by-1m square antenna into 1U CubeSat volume. The antenna is composed of two-layer membranes to obtain an air gap. A one-layer deployable membrane structure was demonstrated by the 3U CubeSat OrigamiSat-1 in 2019. The authors are currently developing two technologies to realize the reflectarray antenna. First, the deployable two-layer membrane structure is to be achieved by using pop-up picture book’s mechanism. Second, reflection elements for the reflectarray antenna that do not cross folding lines are proposed to avoid gain degradation.

患者個人の三次元医用画像を用いた手術計画が行われるようになり，手術計画立案の自動化が試みられている．人間による解釈が可能，かつ，一意に算出可能な特徴量を使用することにより，信頼性の高い手術計画を得ることが期待される．近年では，物事に潜むスパース性を利用した情報抽出技術としてスパースモデリングが注目を集めている．スパースモデリングの考え方を用いることで，計画の立案に重要となる特徴量を客観的に抽出できることが期待されるが，その一つのLasso回帰では1通りの特徴量組しか得られない．本研究では，Lasso解列挙を下顎骨再建計画に応用し，腓骨片数の決定に重要な低次元特徴量を複数組抽出するアルゴリズムを提案する．Lasso解列挙を多クラス分類に拡張するために，各特徴量が推定に与える影響を指標化する評価値を導入する．提案手法により，実験に使用した49次元全ての特徴量を用いた場合と同等の推定性能を示す7次元の特徴組の抽出に成功した. We propose an extraction algorithm of low dimensional features which are important for determining the number of fibular segments in mandibular reconstruction by enumeration of Lasso solutions. To perform multi-class classification, we extend enumeration of Lasso solutions by using the evaluation function that indexes the contribution of the extracted features. Experiments showed that the extracted 7-dimensional features have the same estimation performance as using all 49-dimensional features.

Because implicit medical knowledge and experience are used to perform medical treatment, such decisions must be clarified when systematizing surgical procedures. We proposed the enumaration of Lasso solutions corresponding to multiple classes in mandibular reconstruction, but the calculation amount required to search feature sets was large. In this study, we propose the enumeration of Lasso solutions algorithm for multi-class classification that preferentioally selects frequently features. Experiments showed that the 5-dimensional feature set which can correctly estimate more than 90% of surgeons' plans with 76% calculation time compared to the previous methods.

Surgeons perform surgical treatment by considering the facilities and policies of medical institutions and their own experience. This suggests that a uniformly optimized machine learning model is not always accepted. Since different surgeons may have different surgical plans despite the same case, building a predictive model reflecting the diversity of decision-making process is considered to be one of the challenges facing machine learning. The purpose of this study was to analyze the important features in the mandibular reconstruction plans among multiple surgeons. We extracted 7-dimensional important features from total 696 surgical plans of two oral surgeons and one dental technician, and analyzed the universal properties and differences of the feature sets.

Introduction: In daily practice, it is common to experience difficulty in treating decubitus ulcers (pressure ulcers, also known as decubitus ulcers) and stasis dermatitis of the lower limbs. We hereby report that omega-3-acid ethyl esters were remarkably effective when administered to cases of refractory pressure ulcers and stasis dermatitis for the purpose of improving the blood flow and promoting blood circulation. Case Presentation: Case 1: A 21-year-old Japanese female with lower-body paralysis. Pressure ulcers appeared on the heel and first toe of her left lower extremity. Although the patient had been treated with various ointments such as dimethyl isopropylazulene and 0.9% iodine-containing ointment, the course showed no improvement, so omega-3-acid ethyl esters was administered orally, completely healing the ulcer of the first toe in 10 weeks. Case 2: A 76-year-old Japanese male. The patient had been treated on an outpatient basis for 15 years due to hypertension, heart failure, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and hyperlipidemia. Two years prior to this presentation, stasis dermatitis occurred in the lower limbs and at the end of last year, erosive ulcers appeared on the front part of the lower-right thigh and shin. Although treatment with various topical ointment and dressings was performed, the course showed no improvement. Oral administration of omega-3-acid ethyl esters was initiated. At 12 weeks, his condition entered the white phase and healed almost completely. Conclusions: This report is the first to document other treatment possibilities for pressure ulcer and/or stasis dermatitis in cases where the use of topical applied ointments and medications is difficult. This new therapy may therefore help physicians to treat pressure ulcers and stasis dermatitis.
