Abstract

The article discusses on the development and design of the Omni-Directional Photo Database System which has been formulated by a Japanese automotive technology company. The most significant features of the system is the omni-directional camera which is put on for surveillance on the top of the probe car. The application of both Global Positioning System and camera can help drivers and passengers in navigation by presenting them images on their routes.
