Le liposarcome est lun des plus communs sarcomes des tissus mous, il represente pres dun quart des neoplasmes des parties molles. Cependant cest un cancer rare puisquil ne represente quenviron 10% de lensemble des cancers chez lhomme. Nous rapportons le cas dun jeun patient de 36 ans, presentant une masse de la face antero-externe de la cuisse gauche de consistance molle, douloureuse, mobile par rapport au plan superficiel, sans signes inflammatoires en regard, de 12cm du grand axe, evoluant depuis 2 mois dans un contexte de conservation de letat general. Le bilan biologique standard etait normal. La radiographie de la cuisse gauche na pas revelee danomalies osseuses ni de calcifications au niveau des parties molles. Ces caracteristiques evoquaient un lipome dont lexerese a ete programmee. Letude anatomopathologique et immunohistochimique de la piece operatoire ont objective un liposarcome peripherique bien differencie de bas grade appele aussi tumeur lipomateuse atypique (OMS 2013) (Grade 1 selon FNCLCC). Un bilan dextension a ete realise fait dune IRM de la cuisse gauche etait negatif. En accord avec le comite doncologie de notre CHU, une intervention de reprise dexerese a ete realiseeelle a consiste en une excision de la cicatrice precedente puis, en bloc, de laponevrose et du tissu musculaire sur toute la hauteur du site initial de la tumeur en le debordant de deux centimetres environ. Une surveillance clinique locale et regionale post-operatoire du patient a 4,6 mois et un an plus trad na pas revelee danomalie. &nbsp

In this research, Data of milk yield, fat and protein percentage of Khuzestani buffalo were used. The daily records of milk yield were collected in the south-west of Iran where buffalo experienced a hot climate. The data set was constructed with 8,123 records of 1,430 first lactation buffalo. A univariate random regression model (RR/CF) was applied to data. Regression of additive genetic effect based on Legendre polynomials from the day of lactation was considered in the model. The results showed that maximum residual variance for the milk and fat production was estimated at the beginning of the lactation period. The minimum amount of additive genetic variation of milk and fat traits was seen in the early lactation period and the maximum amount of the component was estimated at the end of the lactation period. The lowest heritability of the mentioned traits was at the beginning of the lactation period. The level of this parameter increased to mid-lactation and was at its maximum during the late months of lactation, then decreased to the end of lactation. The estimated additive genetic correlations between close test-days were higher than faraway test-day records for each milk yield and milk fat content. Based on the results of this study, a random regression model with fitting orders 3 and 4, seems to be suitable for additive covariance functions in order to analyze the milk test-day records of buffaloes.

Foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) is a severely contagious viral disease that mainly affects cloven-hoofed livestock and wildlife. This study quantifies the cytokines mRNA expression of vaccinated guinea pigs with FMD type O inactivated vaccine. Blood samples were collected from eight guinea pigs at 7 and 28 days after the first vaccination. Extracted mRNAs were reverse-transcribed into cDNA and analyzed for quantification of IFN-γ, TNF-α and IL-10 expression using relative real-time PCR assay. Background and Aim: Stainless steel crown (SSC) is the most durable and reliable restoration for primary teeth with extensive caries but its metalic appearance has always been a matter of concern. With advances in restorative materials and metal bonding processes, composite veneer has enhanced esthetics of these crowns in clinic. The aim of this study was to evaluate the shear bond strength of SSC to composite resin using different surface treatments and adhesives. Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, 90 stainless steel crowns were selected. They were mounted in molds and divided into 3 groups of 30 each (S, E and F). In group S (sandblast), buccal surfaces were sandblasted for 5 seconds. In group E (etch) acidic gel was applied for 5 minutes and in group F (fissure bur) surface roughness was created by fissure diamond bur. Each group was divided into 3 subgroups (SB, AB, P) based on different adhesives: Single Bond, All Bond2 and Panavia F. Composite was then bonded to specimens. Cases were incubated in 100% humidity at 37°C for 24 hours. Shear bond strength was measured by Zwick machine with crosshead speed of 0.5 mm/min. Data were analyzed by ANOVA test with p0.05) so the two variables were studied separately. No significant difference was observed in mean shear bond strength of composite among the three kinds of adhesives (P>0.05). Similar results were obtained regarding surface treatments (P>0.05). Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, treating the SSC surface with bur and using single bond adhesive and composite can be used successfully to obtain esthetic results in pediatric restorative treatments.

Background and Aim: Nanoleakage can cause discoloration around restoration margins, secondary caries, postoperative sensitivity and finally loss of restoration, thus adequate hybrid layer is of primary importance in prevention of nanoleakage in adhesive restorations. Because of structural differences between primary and permanent dentin, evaluation of nanoleakge in primary teeth is very important. The aim of this study was to evaluate the nanoleakage in composite restorations following application of self -etch and total-etch adhesives in primary and permanent teeth. Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, Cl V cavities were prepared in buccal surfaces of 20 extracted primary molars and 20 extracted premolars. Regions on 3 ovine chromosomes (OAR1, 5 and 25) were selected to study quantitative trait loci (QTL) segregating for wool traits in Baluchi sheep, an indigenous sheep breed in Iran. Progenies (503) from 13 half-sib families were genotyped for 15 microsatellite markers. The average number of progeny per sire was 38 and ranged between 16 and 59. Wool traits (14) were analyzed and phenotypes were corrected for fixed effects of birth year, sex, flock, litter size and shearing date (year and season). The QTL analyses were performed using regression-based interval mapping. The results revealed 4 QTL on OAR1 for fibre type traits (hetero-type and Kemp fibres type per cent in fleece), coefficient of variation of fibre diameter and greasy fleece weight, one QTL on OAR5 for clean fleece weight and 7 QTL on OAR25 for fibre type traits (Hetro-type, Kemp and True wool fibres per cent), greasy and clean fleece weight, coefficient of variation of average fibre diameter and the per cent of fibre diameter between 40 and 50 μm.

Population structure, diversity and genetic variation in two sub-populations of Baluchi sheep were estimated using seven microsatellite markers. A total of 503 individuals from two sub-populations were genotyped. Average number of allele per locus for all of the loci was 5.57. The range of allele per locus was from 4 in BM1853 and BMS1714 loci to 7 in MCM200 and RM0006 loci. The seven tested loci were all polymorphic in both sub-populations. The average observed heterozygosity over all the loci in each sub-population was less than the expected heterozygosity. Test of genotype frequencies’ deviation from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium (HWE) at each locus, over all the population, revealed significant departure from HWE. A slightly low rate of inbreeding within two sub-populations was noticed ( = 0.003). Low genetic differentiation was detected based on the estimated index between two sub-populations. The MANOVA analysis showed that about 2.4% of the total genetic variation was explained by population differences and 97.6 percent was corresponded to differences among individuals. The mean of polymorphism information content (PIC) value for all loci in Baluchi population was 0.65. In addition, the analysis of segregation in population showed that 85% of the individuals were informative indicating the relatively high polymorphism in selected marker in Baluchi sheep. The molecular mechanisms of carcinogenesis in pancreatic cancer are still poorly understood, although the inactivation of tumor suppressor genes at multiple loci is suspected. We investigated the loss of heterozygosity (LOH) on chromosome 22 in pancreatic cancer by means of a PCR-based microsatellite analysis of archival paraffin-embedded histological sections in order to better define deleted region(s) and to test whether the NF-2 gene is involved. Using a panel of thirteen markers that spanned the long arm of chromosome 22, loss of heterozygosity was identified for at least one locus in 37% of investigated pancreatic adenocarcinomas. These deletions are clustered into two separate areas of the chromosome 22--one proximal to the NF-2 gene and one distal. The NF-2 gene itself is not involved. These regions are likely locations of tumor suppressor genes that may contribute to the development of pancreatic cancer.
