1. Relationship between Neighborhood-Level Social Risk Factor Measures and Presenting Glaucoma Severity Utilizing Multilevel Modeling

Abstract: Purpose: The neighborhood and built environment social determinant of health domain has several social risk factors (SRFs) that are modifiable through policy efforts. We investigated the impact of neighborhood-level SRFs on presenting glaucoma severity at a tertiary eye care center. Design: A cross-sectional study from August 2012 to May 2022 in the University of Michigan electronic health record (EHR). Participants: Patients with a diagnosis of any open-angle glaucoma with ≥1 eye care visit at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center and ≥1 reliable visual field (VF). Methods: Participants who met inclusion criteria were identified by International Classification of Diseases ninth and tenth revision codes (365.x/H40.x). Data extracted from the EHR included patient demographics, address, presenting mean deviation (MD), and VF reliability. Addresses were mapped to SRF measures at the census tract, block group, and county levels. Multilevel linear regression models were used to estimate the fixed effects of each SRF on MD, after adjusting for patient-level demographic factors and a random effect for neighborhood. Interactions between each SRF measure with patient-level race and Medicaid status were tested for an additive effect on MD. Main Outcome Measures: The main outcome measure was the effect of SRF on presenting MD. Results: In total, 4428 patients were included in the analysis who were, on average, 70.3 years old (standard deviation = 11.9), 52.6% self-identified as female, 75.8% self-identified as White race, and 8.9% had Medicaid. The median value of presenting MD was −4.94 decibels (dB) (interquartile range = −11.45 to −2.07 dB). Neighborhood differences accounted for 4.4% of the variability in presenting MD. Abstract: This study investigates highly stochastic solitary waves inside the structure of nonlinear Schrödinger equation of eighth-order, characterized by heightened polynomial nonlinearity and influenced by multiplicative white noise modeled in the Itô sense. To discern the influence of white noise on the governing model, the bright and dark soliton profiles are generated by using the Sardar sub-equation and G′/(bG′+G+a)-expansion methods. Our approach yields diverse solutions, encompassing singular solitary waves, breather, periodic, and dark–bright solitons. Visual representations through 3D and 2D graphs with relevant parameter values enhance the comprehension of results. The distinctive nature of our methods, untested in this context, results in novel soliton solutions, underscoring their efficacy. This research not only deepens understanding in soliton wave theory but also demonstrates its practical relevance for solving nonlinear complexities in engineering and scientific fields.

Abstract: The extraction of novel optical solitons for the proposed model, which includes Kerr law nonlinearity, space–time dispersion, different Hamiltonian perturbation terms, and the effect of multiplicative white noise, is the aim of this work. A complete set of soliton solutions is obtained by applying three different expansion strategies. The final findings are visualized graphically via surface graphics, density plots and 2D plots to illustrate the behavior noise phenomenon on obtained solutions. These visual depictions shed light on various aspects of the equation’s dynamics and offer invaluable insights. Our computational analysis serves to verify the effectiveness and adaptability of our methodologies in addressing a broad class of nonlinear problems in mathematical science and engineering. This research communicates new avenues for our understanding of optical phenomena and provides a useful insight of how solitons behave in the presence of noise.

9. Fractional dynamics and sensitivity analysis of measles epidemic model through vaccination

Abstract: Measles is a highly contagious disease that mainly affects children worldwide. Even though a reliable and effective vaccination is available, there were 140,000 measles deaths worldwide in 2018, and most of them were children under the age five years. In this paper, we comprehensively investigate a novel fractional SVEIR (Susceptible-Vaccinated-Exposed-Infected-Recovered) model of the measles epidemic powered by nonlinear fractional differential equations to understand the epidemic’s dynamical behaviour. We use a non-singular Atangana-Baleanu fractional derivative to analyze the proposed model, taking advantage of non-locality. The existence, uniqueness, positivity and boundedness of the solutions are shown via concepts of fixed point theory, and we also perform the Ulam-Hyers stability of the considered model. The parameter sensitivity is discussed in the context of the variance with each parameter using 3-D graphics based on the basic reproduction number. Moreover, with the Atangana-Toufik numerical scheme, numerical findings are depicted for different fractional-order values. The presented approach produce results that are efficiently consistent and in excellent agreement with the theoretical results.

Abstract: This paper proposes an intelligent faculty evaluation and ranking system in a fuzzy environment, with a focus on semester-wise evaluation rather than annual evaluation. This approach is warranted because a university’s academic goals may vary across semesters, affecting the selection and weights of performance indicators related to teaching effectiveness, research output, and official responsibilities. To achieve this objective, the authors introduce the concept of N-framed plithogenic hypersoft set (PHSS), where N represents the number of frames or semesters. Three types of N-framed PHSS are introduced, and an efficient rank reversal-free multi-criteria decision-making technique, namely NR-TOPSIS, is extended by embedding N-framed PHSS in the algorithm of NR-TOPSIS, termed as ENR-TOPSIS. The modified algorithm is capable of extracting data from a source file and producing the desired results. The procedure is implemented for faculty evaluation in a double-framed fuzzy environment, and sensitivity analysis is performed for the proposed ENR-TOPSIS. The developed framework combines intelligent systems that are adaptable and contain additional characteristics, making it more versatile and increasing its accuracy and transparency, in line with SDG-4, which focuses on quality education.

12. A comparison of academic and clinical assessments between endodontic residents receiving in-person versus virtual instruction

Abstract: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all modes of instruction were moved to virtual teaching for the matriculating endodontic residents at Boston University (BU) School of Dental Medicine (2020-2021). As dentistry is a very hands-on profession, the switch to virtual teaching comes with its own issues of concept retention, zoom fatigue, and limited interaction/lack of engagement between residents and faculty. There has already been a steady decline in the attendance of live lectures by medical and dental students, with students underscoring the ease of watching online lectures/recorded lectures and learning at their own pace.This study took a mixed method observational research approach, with one group receiving the standard in-person (IP) teaching the previous year, and the other group receiving the new intervention of virtual teaching the subsequent year via the zoom platform. The two groups received the same curriculum in its entirety. End-of-semester written and oral exams were compared between the two cohorts along with their clinical assessment forms. One focus group was conducted individually with each class for the qualitative portion of this study.The class of residents receiving IP instruction scored higher in both written and oral components of the end-of-semester exam. There was no statistically significant difference between the groups in their clinical performance and both groups improved in their exams and clinical performance over time. Focus groups highlighted themes emphasizing the importance of social connectedness and interactions, engagement, individual learning styles and motivating factors, zoom fatigue, and the need for a hybrid model of education.Although there was a difference in an exam performance of residents receiving IP versus virtual instruction, there was no impact on their clinical performance. However, subjectively, the lack of social connectedness impacted the overall learning experience.

Abstract: The higher dimensional Fokas equation is the integrable expansion of the Davey–Stewartson and Kadomtsev–Petviashvili equations. In wave theory, the Fokas model plays a crucial role in explaining the physical phenomena of waves both inside and outside of water. The (4+1)-dimensional fractional-order Fokas equation is the subject of this article. Two effective approaches are employed to obtain the solutions for the considered equation: the generalized auxiliary equation technique and the G′/(bG′+G+a) technique. Several novel soliton solutions are obtained, including periodic solitary waves, bright solitons, and dark solitons. Various parametric values are employed to produce these new soliton waves at certain fractional order levels α. Furthermore, the bilinear version of the equation helps to develop its two-wave, three-wave, and multi-wave, as well as lump and rogue wave solutions. The properties of the solutions to the underlying problem are most effectively analyzed through the use of graphical representations. These outcomes and techniques can be used to study various fractional-order problems that emerge in wave theory, such as those in physics, hydraulics, optical technology, quantum mechanics, and plasma particles.

Abstract: This study focuses on revealing closed-form solutions for traveling waves in the nonlinear dynamical model of dust-acoustic waves in multispecies of dusty plasma. Plasma consists of cold dust grains, along with isothermal electrons and positive ions for balance. Fluid equations simplify through reductive perturbation, yielding the modified Korteweg–de Vries equation for analyzing weak dust-acoustic solitons. Applying this method to a specific scenario involving negatively charged dust grains and protons with all electrons bound to the dust grains shows support for rarefactive supersonic solitons, contrasting with typical compressive ion-acoustic solitons. Introducing streaming reveals a subtle soliton amplitude decrease. Using the Generalized exp(-S(φ)) expansion method effectively derives various soliton solutions, including kink, anti-kink, singular, hyperbolic functions, and diverse solitary waves. Furthermore, the equation’s dynamic behaviors are explored through equilibrium point bifurcations. Employing a Galilean transformation, the model is transformed into a planar dynamical system, and qualitative inspection is performed. Phase portraits depict bifurcation outcomes. Our methodology is significant for tackling the novel problem and applying previously untested approaches in this context, resulting in the development of multiple exact and novel optical soliton solutions. This highlights the efficiency and broad application of our new strategy to addressing nonlinear challenges in astrophysics, laboratories, space, and technology.

To give physical insights of obtained solutions, we present these solutions through graphs such as 2D, 3D and contour plots. Further, to understand the planar dynamical system, we employ the concepts of bifurcation, chaos theory and sensitivity analysis. Bifurcation analysis reveals the dependence on the solution of a planar dynamical system at critical points. Additionally, the detection of chaotic movements in the perturbed dynamical system is achieved by detecting tools. Also the sensitivity analysis of the model is investigate by three distinct initial conditions. The findings are innovative, valuable and captivating for the readers in exploring this model.

Abstract: This paper discusses the newly discovered acoustic waves that arise from the equilibrium between the inertia of dust particles and plasma pressure. The propagation of these waves is demonstrated to be non-linear, with supersonic solitons exhibiting either a positive or negative electrostatic potential, and linear, with normal modes in a dusty plasma. Implementing the unified method and the generalized projective Ricatti equation technique, we generate a variety of optical wave structures for the governing framework. Using 3D and 2D dimensional illustrations, the fundamental behavior of the derived solutions is visually analyzed by choosing appropriate values for arbitrary parameters that satisfy the specified constraints. The employed methodologies are acknowledged to be a powerful and effective mechanism for creating solitary wave solutions for non-linear evolution models.

Abstract: This paper introduces a framework for nonlinear short wave propagation in an external field for saturated ferromagnetic materials with zero conductivity: the Kraenkel-Manna-Merle system. New solutions are produced via the G′/(bG′+G+a)-expansion technique. The suggested method is easier to understand, more precise, and simpler to compute. Specifically, a set of singular-periodic and kink-shaped exact soliton solutions is produced. Contour plots, 3D, and 2D visualizations with suitable parametric values are employed to present the computed solutions, which are derived through constraint conditions. For the development of certain novel soliton structures, the arbitrary functions in the solutions are selected. Moreover, bifurcation and chaos theory are applied to the primary dynamical system in order to provide a qualitative analysis of the system under study. Phase portraits of bifurcation are presented at fixed locations to illustrate different situations about parameter values in the dynamic system. However, adopting techniques for identifying chaos in a dynamical system and applying an external force verifies the occurrence of chaotic behavior in system. These results offer new perspectives that can enhance understanding of the dynamics of the KMM system.

Abstract: This article discusses a new integrable wave equation in (3+1)-dimensions that describes shallow water waves. The auto–Bäcklund and Cole-Hopf transformations are constructed by means of the homogeneous balance approach, which results in numerous new solitary wave-type solutions. Based on Hirota's method, Bäcklund transformation is derived, and the respective lax pairs are also calculated. The exponential, trigonometric, and hyperbolic wave functions generate numerous kinds of soliton-type solutions. To further capitalize on the potential and physical behavior of the equation, the findings are also presented through phase portraits in the form of 3D, density, and 2D plots. This research may advance knowledge of the characteristics of nonlinear waves that form in seas and oceans.

20. Impact of fresh grape juice on the pharmacokinetics of omeprazole: results of a food–drug interaction study

Abstract: Grapes have been widely used for dietary ailments due to their attributed pharmacological activities. Resveratrol, the chief constituent of grapes, is responsible for their pharmacological benefits. However, apart from their beneficial effects, grapes have also recently been considered in drug interaction studies. This study investigated the pharmacokinetic profile of omeprazole administered alone compared to omeprazole administered with grape juice, with a prior intake of grape juice, for 1 continuous week. The study was conducted on two groups of healthy male volunteers [n = 12]. One group was orally administered 40 mg of omeprazole alone, while the other group was administered omeprazole with grape juice. Blood samples were analyzed for omeprazole concentration by a reverse-phase HPLC method. Co-administration of 40 mg omeprazole with grape juice significantly decreased the AUC0-t and Cmax by 32% and 34%, respectively, suggesting a role being played by grapes in the activation of P-glycoprotein and omeprazole metabolizing enzymes, including CYP3A4 and CYP2C19. In conclusion, the addition of grapes as a dietary supplement in patients taking omeprazole for the management of peptic ulcer symptoms may lead to a higher required dose of omeprazole.

21. Optical solitons, qualitative analysis and multistability response to study the dynamical behaviour of light wave promulgation

Abstract: Our aim is to explore novel optical solitons within the context of an extended higher-order nonlinear Schrödinger equation that governs the behaviour of propagating light waves. Primarily, this research finds abundant types of solitons, such as singular, kink and trigonometric functions subject to certain constraint conditions. We have utilized [Formula: see text]-expansion method, which has proved effective in retrieving these solitons and presenting them for further analysis. The model's dynamic behaviour is then investigated through bifurcation, quasi-periodic oscillations, chaotic behaviour, and sensitivity. These include methods like phase portrait rendering, time series scrutiny, Lyapunov exponents calculation, and the assessment of multi-stability. Finally, sensitivity analysis is conducted at three distinct initial conditions, revealing that the model displays a high level of sensitivity, with substantial alterations occurring in response to minor changes in the initial conditions. The results of this study are revolutionary, intriguing, and possess crucial theoretical importance in evolution disruptions.

Abstract: In this article, the (3+1)-dimensional q-deformed Sinh-Gordon model is investigated to extract analytical solutions using the unified method. This technique effectively extracts polynomial and rational function solutions. When the appropriate limiting constraints are given to the parameters, this technique successfully retrieves hyperbolic and trigonometric results. Some graphical representations of the solutions of the proposed equation are illustrated. Additionally, all feasible phase portraits are shown, the planer dynamical system of the equation under discussion is built using Galilean transformation, and sensitive inspection is used to verify the sensitivity of the equation under consideration. There aren't many previous methods for solving this kind of equation, either analytically or numerically. This work is highly valuable for the understanding of various symmetrical physical systems.

28. Modeling and simulations for the mitigation of atmospheric carbon dioxide through forest management programs

Abstract: The growing global population causes more anthropogenic carbon dioxide $ (CO_2) $ emissions and raises the need for forest products, which in turn causes deforestation and elevated $ CO_2 $ levels. A rise in the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is the major reason for global warming. Carbon dioxide concentrations must be reduced soon to achieve the mitigation of climate change. Forest management programs accommodate a way to manage atmospheric $ CO_2 $ levels. For this purpose, we considered a nonlinear fractional model to analyze the impact of forest management policies on mitigating atmospheric $ CO_2 $ concentration. In this investigation, fractional differential equations were solved by utilizing the Atangana Baleanu Caputo derivative operator. It captures memory effects and shows resilience and efficiency in collecting system dynamics with less processing power. This model consists of four compartments, the concentration of carbon dioxide $ \mathcal{C}(t) $, human population $ \mathcal{N}(t) $, forest biomass $ \mathcal{B}(t) $, and forest management programs $ \mathcal{P}(t) $ at any time $ t $. The existence and uniqueness of the solution for the fractional model are shown. Physical properties of the solution, non-negativity, and boundedness are also proven. The equilibrium points of the model were computed and further analyzed for local and global asymptotic stability. For the numerical solution of the suggested model, the Atangana-Toufik numerical scheme was employed. The acquired results validate analytical results and show the significance of arbitrary order $ \delta $. The effect of deforestation activities and forest management strategies were also analyzed on the dynamics of atmospheric carbon dioxide and forest biomass under the suggested technique. The illustrated results describe that the concentration of $ CO_2 $ can be minimized if deforestation activities are controlled and proper forest management policies are developed and implemented. Furthermore, it is determined that switching to low-carbon energy sources, and developing and implementing more effective mitigation measures will result in a decrease in the mitigation of $ CO_2 $.

29. A comparison of academic and clinical assessments between endodontic residents receiving in‐person versus virtual instruction.

Abstract: Objectives: Due to the COVID‐19 pandemic, all modes of instruction were moved to virtual teaching for the matriculating endodontic residents at Boston University (BU) School of Dental Medicine (2020–2021). As dentistry is a very hands‐on profession, the switch to virtual teaching comes with its own issues of concept retention, zoom fatigue, and limited interaction/lack of engagement between residents and faculty. There has already been a steady decline in the attendance of live lectures by medical and dental students, with students underscoring the ease of watching online lectures/recorded lectures and learning at their own pace. Methods: This study took a mixed method observational research approach, with one group receiving the standard in‐person (IP) teaching the previous year, and the other group receiving the new intervention of virtual teaching the subsequent year via the zoom platform. The two groups received the same curriculum in its entirety. End‐of‐semester written and oral exams were compared between the two cohorts along with their clinical assessment forms. One focus group was conducted individually with each class for the qualitative portion of this study. Results: The class of residents receiving IP instruction scored higher in both written and oral components of the end‐of‐semester exam. There was no statistically significant difference between the groups in their clinical performance and both groups improved in their exams and clinical performance over time. Focus groups highlighted themes emphasizing the importance of social connectedness and interactions, engagement, individual learning styles and motivating factors, zoom fatigue, and the need for a hybrid model of education. Conclusions: Although there was a difference in an exam performance of residents receiving IP versus virtual instruction, there was no impact on their clinical performance. However, subjectively, the lack of social connectedness impacted the overall learning experience. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract: There has been a worldwide epidemic of heroin that has affected people, families, societies, and cultures across the world. Now, the heroin epidemic has transitioned from heroin abuse to the overuse of synthetic narcotics, which are widely accessible and inexpensively produced. In this work, a novel mathematical approach is applied to investigate the dynamics of the heroin epidemic model and its harmful effect on society with different population data. A heroin model has been constructed with the importance of a non-singular kernel in the sense of a generalized Mittag-Leffler kernel. The well-posedness of the proposed model is proven via fixed-point theory. To examine the heroin model, two equilibrium states have been determined. These equilibrium states are proven to be locally and globally asymptotically stable. To analyze the behavior of heroin, a basic reproduction number and sensitivity analysis are used to determine the impact of different parameters mathematically as well as through simulations. To find the approximate solution, we implement the Toufik–Atangana numerical method at different fractional order values. The sensitivity of the heroin model is carried out, and 3-D graphs show the significance of the parameter involved in the model. Finally, the numerical outcomes are presented with different values of fractional parameters.

Abstract: This research investigates the characteristics and attributes of a new (3+ 1)-dimensional Boussinesq equation that describes shallow water waves in higher dimensions. By utilizing the Hirota bilinear representation, a bilinear Bäcklund transformation is provided for the proposed model to get soliton solutions. Then, the extended transform rational function method is applied to calculate the complexitons type solutions. The results demonstrate various exact solutions with different structures, including periodic, singular, and bright solitons. Comprehensive graphical representations in 2D, 3D, and density plots are provided to highlight the physical properties of these solutions. Our approach is distinguished by the unique nature of the problem and the use of previously untested methods in this context, leading to many new and original optical soliton solutions. These results highlight the effectiveness of the proposed method in tackling nonlinear problems in engineering and the natural sciences, exceeding previous work found in the literature.

Abstract: This research article investigates the dissipative long wave system in (2+1) dimensions. To analyze this system, three separate integrating strategies were used: the single manifold approach, the unified method, and the generalized projective Ricatti equation method. Novel soliton solutions were effectively obtained by applying these strategies to the suggested model. The resulting solutions are various, including mixed soliton-like solutions, dark solitons, rational solutions, triangular periodic solutions, and combined Jacobi elliptic wave function solutions. Using the aforementioned approaches, an extensive variety of solution types has been discovered for the proposed model. The dynamic character of these closed-form solutions has been adequately demonstrated using both three dimensional and two dimensional graphical representations. This visualization helps to better understand the behavior of the acquired solutions.

Abstract: This study mainly focuses on finding new forms of optical soliton solutions of a modified complex Ginzburg-Landau equation. A versatile integration approach, the extended sinh-Gordon expansion technique is utilized. This technique yields complex hyperbolic, hyperbolic, complex trigonometric and trigonometric solutions of the proposed model. A graphical illustration of the obtained solutions is also given to demonstrate the physical behavior of obtained solutions. Further, bifurcation and chaos techniques are used to study the qualitative analysis of the governing model. The planer system is extracted from the given equation. All possible phase portraits are mapped. It is also determined that the purposed strategies are beneficial to getting exact traveling wave solutions for a wide range of problems in the mathematical sciences.

Abstract: The generalized q-deformed sinh Gordon equation (GDSGE) serves as a significant nonlinear partial differential equation with profound applications in physics. This study investigates the GDSGE's mathematical and physical properties, examining its solutions and clarifying the essence of the q-deformation parameter. The Sardar sub-equation method (SSEM) and sine-Gordon expansion method (SGEM) are employed to solve this GDSGE. The synergistic application of these techniques improves our knowledge of the GDSGE and provides a thorough foundation for investigating different evolution models arising in various branches of mathematics and physics. A positive aspect of the proposed methods is that they offer a wide variety of solitons, including bright, singular, dark, combination dark-singular, combined dark-bright, and periodic singular solitons. Obtained solutions demonstrate the method's high degree of reliability, simplicity, and functionalization for various nonlinear equations. To better describe the physical characterization of solutions, a few 2D and 3D visualizations are generated by taking precise values for parameters using mathematical software, Mathematica.

Abstract: This article represented the investigation of the modified mixed Korteweg-de Vries equation using different versatile approaches. First, the Lie point symmetry approach was used to determine all possible symmetry generators. With the help of these generators, we reduced the dimension of the proposed equation which leads to the ordinary differential equation. Second, we employed the unified Riccati equation expansion technique to construct the abundance of soliton dynamics. A group of kink solitons and other solitons related to hyperbolic functions were among these solutions. To give the physical meaning of these theoretical results, we plotted these solutions in 3D, contour, and 2D graphs using suitable physical parameters. The comprehend outcomes were reported, which can be useful and beneficial in the future investigation of the studied equation. The results showed that applied techniques are very useful to study the other nonlinear physical problems in nonlinear sciences.

Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic has increased negative emotions and decreased positive emotions globally. Left unchecked, these emotional changes might have a wide array of adverse impacts. To reduce negative emotions and increase positive emotions, we tested the effectiveness of reappraisal, an emotion-regulation strategy that modifies how one thinks about a situation. Participants from 87 countries and regions (n = 21,644) were randomly assigned to one of two brief reappraisal interventions (reconstrual or repurposing) or one of two control conditions (active or passive). Results revealed that both reappraisal interventions (vesus both control conditions) consistently reduced negative emotions and increased positive emotions across different measures. Reconstrual and repurposing interventions had similar effects. Importantly, planned exploratory analyses indicated that reappraisal interventions did not reduce intentions to practice preventive health behaviours. The findings demonstrate the viability of creating scalable, low-cost interventions for use around the world. Abstract: This study investigates novel optical solitons within the intriguing (4+1)-dimensional Korteweg–de Vries–Calogero–Bogoyavlenskii–Schiff (KdV-CBS) equation, which integrates features from both the Korteweg–de Vries and the Calogero–Bogoyavlenskii–Schiff equations. Firstly, all possible symmetry generators are found by applying Lie symmetry analysis. By using these generators, the given model is converted into an ordinary differential equation. An adaptive approach, the generalized exp(-S(χ)) expansion technique has been utilized to uncover closed-form solitary wave solutions. The findings reveal a range of soliton types, including exponential, rational, hyperbolic, and trigonometric functions, represented as bright, singular, rational, periodic, and new solitary waves. These results are illustrated numerically and accompanied by insightful physical interpretations, enriching the comprehension of the complex dynamics modeled by these equations. Our approach’s novelty lies in applying a new methodology to this problem, yielding a variety of novel optical soliton solutions. Additionally, we employ bifurcation and chaos techniques for a qualitative analysis of the model, extracting a planar system from the original equation and mapping all possible phase portraits. A thorough sensitivity analysis of the governing equation is also presented. These results highlight the effectiveness of our methodology in tackling nonlinear problems in both mathematics and engineering, surpassing previous research efforts.

Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic has increased negative emotions and decreased positive emotions globally. Left unchecked, these emotional changes might have a wide array of adverse impacts. To reduce negative emotions and increase positive emotions, we tested the effectiveness of reappraisal, an emotion-regulation strategy that modifies how one thinks about a situation. Participants from 87 countries and regions (n = 21,644) were randomly assigned to one of two brief reappraisal interventions (reconstrual or repurposing) or one of two control conditions (active or passive). Results revealed that both reappraisal interventions (vesus both control conditions) consistently reduced negative emotions and increased positive emotions across different measures. Reconstrual and repurposing interventions had similar effects. Importantly, planned exploratory analyses indicated that reappraisal interventions did not reduce intentions to practice preventive health behaviours. The findings demonstrate the viability of creating scalable, low-cost interventions for use around the world. Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic has increased negative emotions and decreased positive emotions globally. Left unchecked, these emotional changes might have a wide array of adverse impacts. To reduce negative emotions and increase positive emotions, we tested the effectiveness of reappraisal, an emotion-regulation strategy that modifies how one thinks about a situation. Participants from 87 countries and regions (n = 21,644) were randomly assigned to one of two brief reappraisal interventions (reconstrual or repurposing) or one of two control conditions (active or passive). Results revealed that both reappraisal interventions (vesus both control conditions) consistently reduced negative emotions and increased positive emotions across different measures. Reconstrual and repurposing interventions had similar effects. Importantly, planned exploratory analyses indicated that reappraisal interventions did not reduce intentions to practice preventive health behaviours. The findings demonstrate the viability of creating scalable, low-cost interventions for use around the world. Abstract: The Boussinesq equation has drawn significant interest in models for coastline and oceanic engineering, as it can simulate various phenomena such as shallow water waves and harbors, tsunami transmission, and near-shore wave mechanisms. This study examines different approaches for solving the (3+1)-dimensional integrable Boussinesq equation. For this purpose, the Bäcklund transformation is derived by utilizing the Hirota bilinear representation. The understanding of the equation is improved by this transformation, which yields solutions for exponential functions. Furthermore, the model’s bilinear form is used to construct its two-, three-, and multi-wave solutions. The features and behavior of the wave solutions to the equation are clarified by this investigation. Additionally, the concerned equation is transformed into an ordinary differential equation by means of a traveling wave transformation, and the results consisting of solutions for rational and polynomial functions are extracted by means of the unified technique. The graphical representations are an essential visual assistance for comprehending the intricate dynamics and behaviors displayed by the governing equation’s solutions.

43. Mathematical simulations and sensitivity visualization of fractional order disease model describing human immunodeficiency

Abstract: In this study, we explore a mathematical model of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) infection in CD4+ T-cells, considering fractional-order dynamics in the Caputo sense. Fractional models are of great significance due to their capacity to predict disease outbreaks while incorporating memory and non-local characteristics. To establish the existence and uniqueness of solutions for the fractional model, a fixed-point theorem and an iterative technique are employed. Furthermore, it is confirmed that the solutions of the model are both positive and bounded. The basic reproduction number, denoted as R0, is calculated using the next-generation matrix approach, and the equilibrium points of the model, including disease-free and endemic equilibrium points, are presented. A sensitivity analysis of R0 is performed by varying different parameters. To analyze the local stability of equilibrium points, the Routh-Hurwitz technique is employed. The global stability of equilibrium points is demonstrated using the Lyapunov function and LaSalle's principle, as well as through UlamHyers (UH) stability and the generalized UH stability conditions. The proposed numerical scheme Adams-Bashforth predictor-corrector is validated by comparing it with the fourth-order Runge-Kutta (RK4) technique. We examine the influence of the fractional order (ξ) by conducting numerical simulations for different values of ξ using the Adams-Bashforth predictor-corrector approach. Furthermore, graphical presentations illustrate how different crucial model parameters impact disease dynamics. The results obtained from this study demonstrate that the adopted strategies significantly improve prediction accuracy.

Abstract: Abstract The multi polar fuzzy (m-PF) set has an extensive range of implementations in real world problems related to the multi-polar information, multi-index and multi-attributes data. This paper introduces innovative extensions to algebraic structures. We present the definitions and some important results of m-polar fuzzy subsemirings (m-PFSSs), m-polar fuzzy ideals (m-PFIs), m-polar fuzzy generalized bi-ideals (m-PFGBIs), m-polar fuzzy bi-ideals (m-PFBIs) and m-polar fuzzy quasi-ideals (m-PFQIs) in semirings. The main contributions of the paper include the derivation and proof of key theorems that shed light on the algebraic interplay and computational aspects of m-polar fuzzy ideals (m-PFIs), m-polar fuzzy generalized bi-ideals (m-PFGBIs), m-polar fuzzy bi-ideals (m-PFBIs) and m-polar fuzzy quasi-ideals (m-PFQIs) in semirings along with examples. Moreover, this paper deals with several important properties of m-PFIs and characterizes regular and intra-regular semirings by the properties of these ideals.

Abstract: The significance of the study lies in illuminating the consequences of thermophoresis and Brownian motion on heat and mass transfer, offering valuable insights crucial for practical applications. The purpose of this study is to look into how Casson–Williamson and Maxwell nanofluids flow over a stretching sheet in order to understand how heat and mass move in that situation. The mathematical structure comprises a set of partial differential equations (PDEs) converted into ordinary differential equations (ODEs) through a similarity transformation. Subsequently, the well-established MATLAB BVP4C method, integral to the finite difference approach, is applied to solve these ODEs. For the assurance of the method’s reliability and precision, the acquired outcomes are cross-referenced with existing literature, which is a crucial step in validation. The numerical results are depicted visually and in tables, specifically highlighting the impulse of different influencing elements on the Nusselt number, friction factor, and Sherwood number. Notably, an enhancement within the Brownian motion parameter (Nb) and the thermophoresis parameter (Nt) is found to correspond to higher local Nusselt numbers, indicating an enhancement in heat transfer. Conversely, elevated quantities of the Brownian motion parameter (Nb) result in a reduction in local Sherwood numbers. Physically, a higher Brownian motion parameter causes significant nanofluid particle displacement, enhancing their kinetic energy and intensifying heat generation in the boundary layer. The magnetic parameter (M) influences speed profile decline caused by the Lorentz force, which hinders fluid motion.

Abstract: This research is focused into the exploration of the inherent nonlinear dynamics related to the negative-order (3+1)-dimensional KdV–Calogero–Bogoyavlenskii–Schiff equation. The simplified Hirota method is employed to construct and visualize the multiple solitons through phase portraits. The underlying methodology is advantageous as the model is not needed to convert in bilinear form. The symmetry analysis and the corresponding invariant solutions for the analyzed model are calculated using Lie groups. The underlying model is converted into second-order ordinary differential equation, which is further converted into the dynamical system of first-order differential equations through the utilization of Galilean transformation. Additionally, the qualitative examination of the acquired dynamical system is executed by employing the concept of bifurcation analysis. Following this, an external force is introduced to the model in order to generate a disruption, consequently leading to the formation of a perturbed dynamical system. The confirmation of chaotic behavior in the perturbed dynamical system is observed by employing a range of tools designed to detect chaos. The findings of this piece of research are highly captivating and provide a significant contribution to the field of soliton dynamics in particular and mathematical physics in general.

Abstract: In this paper, we give the generalized form of soft semihypergroups in ternary structure and have studied it with the help of examples. There are some structures that are not appropriately handled by using the binary operation of the semihypergroup, such as all the sets of non-positive numbers are not closed under binary operation but hold for ternary operation. To deal with this type of problem and handling special type of uncertainty, we study the ternary semihypergroup in terms of prime soft hyperideals. We have introduced prime, strongly prime, semiprime, irreducible and strongly irreducible soft bi-hyperideals in ternary semihypergroups and studied certain properties of these soft bi-hyperideals in ternary semihypergroups. The main advantage of this paper is that we proved that each soft bi-hyperideal of ternary semihypergroup $K$ is strongly prime if it is idempotent and the set of soft bi-hyperideals of $K$ is totally ordered by inclusion.

48. Bi-directional solitons of dual-mode Gardner equation derived from ideal fluid model

Abstract: In this article, the main goal is to find the exact solution to the dual-mode Gardner equation derived from the ideal fluid model. To achieve this, two distinct methods will be employed: the tan/cot method and the tanh/coth method. Using these methods, the problem can be seen through different angles, providing a full understanding of how the equation works and the various solutions it provides. Furthermore, the periodic, kink and singular solutions will be illustrated through the use of 3D and 2D graphs. This visualization will clearly show how the phase velocity parameter affects the solutions, improving our understanding of wave dynamics within the dual-mode Gardner equation. The findings from this study help in understanding how both solitons and periodic solutions influence wave behavior in shallow water and how light travels through optical fibers.

Abstract: This paper presents the fractional generalized q-deformed sinh-Gordon equation. The fractional effects of the temporal derivative of the proposed model are studied using a conformable derivative. The analytical solutions of the governing model depend on the specified parameters. The resulting equation is studied with two integration architectures: the sine-Gordon expansion method and the modified auxiliary equation method. These strategies extract hyperbolic, trigonometric, and rational form solutions. For appropriate parametric values and different values of fractional parameter α, the acquired findings are displayed via 3D graphics, 2D line plots, and contour plots. The graphical simulations of the constricted solutions depict the existence of bright soliton, dark soliton, and periodic waves. The considered model is useful in describing physical mechanisms that possess broken symmetry and incorporate effects such as amplification or dissipation.

Abstract: This paper investigates the (n+1) dimensional integrable extension of the Kadomtsev–Petviashvili (KP) equation. The study focuses on extracting Auto-Bäcklund transformations for the given model using the extended homogeneous balance (HB) method in conjunction with Maple. These transformations are then employed to obtain explicit analytic solutions for the equation. Additionally, a Bilinear Bäcklund transformation is constructed based on the Hirota bilinear form, leading to the acquisition of exponential function solutions. Furthermore, complexiton solutions for the KP equation are obtained utilizing the bilinear form and the extended transformed rational function technique. The physical properties of the obtained solutions are explored through visualization techniques, including 3D, 2D, and contour plots. The analysis reveals the presence of dark, bright, and periodic solitons. The obtained solutions of the KP equation have practical applications in nonlinear optics, plasma physics, and wave propagation analysis.
