Transparent photothermal coatings based on plasmonic noble metals often face a trade‐off between achieved temperatures and transmittances. This challenge arises from the fact that plasmonic nanoparticles (NPs), which rely on their size and structures, selectively absorb light of various wavelengths and convert it into heat. In the cases of randomly arranged plasmonic NPs, absorbances are predominantly in the visible range, leading to lowered transmittances. In this work, the self‐assembly behavior of a biotemplate containing flexible potato virus A (PVA) is used to produce network‐like surface patterns with controllable intermittent vacancies. These templates effectively anchor silver nanoparticles (AgNPs), forming dense arrays of plasmonic hotspots interspersed with vacant regions. With this approach, a temperature increase of 21 °C above ambient temperature under 1‐sun radiation is achieved while maintaining a visible light transmittance as high as 78% measured at 550 nm wavelength. The PVA biotemplated AgNPs show excellent potential as antifogging coating, exhibiting 2–3 times faster defogging rates compared to uncoated samples in both indoor and outdoor conditions. Overall, a platform is presented for biotemplating metal NPs, the development of long‐range surface patterns with controlled vacancies, and the demonstration of transparent photothermal activity with an antifogging application. Non‐thermal plasma (NTP) catalysis, mirroring the trend towards non‐conventional electron‐mediated molecular activation, unfolds novel routes for chemical reactions. Operating at ambient pressure, lower temperatures, and energized by electricity that can powered by renewable sources, NTP offers a cost‐effective and efficient means of sustainable fuel production. This approach has the potential to revolutionize the oil and gas industry, meeting current energy demands while circumventing the challenges posed by conventional thermal catalysis processes, thereby enhancing environmental sustainability and energy security. Through an exploration of the synergistic effects between plasma, catalysis, and hydrocarbon molecules, this concept paper emphasizes the significant advancements made in in‐liquid plasma catalysis strategies for fuel production from heavy oil upgrading. We also provide insights into the heterogeneous catalyst design and the role of plasma gas as an additional catalyst for achieving efficient and sustainable energy solutions. In this study, the kinetics of the Fischer–Tropsch process synthesis (also known as FTS) was investigated using feedstocks produced from biogas. For the kinetic testing, a differential fixed-bed reactor was utilized to operate the Ni/Al2O3 catalyst produced using precipitation procedures. Experiments were carried out with a variety of settings for the working circumstances, such as reaction temperatures ranging from 543 to 563 °K, H2:CO ratios ranging from 0.5 to 3, a pressure of 3.0 megapascals, with a gas hourly space velocity of 3500 (1/h). The reaction kinetics within this range of conditions can be modeled in a precise and accurate way thanks to the derived kinetic parameters. The FTS reaction hypothesized mechanism uses the Langmuir–Hinshelwood–Hougen–Watson theory, which predicts that carbon monoxide and hydrogen will have an adsorption behavior. The kinetic data obtained in this investigation were effectively modeled using a straightforward equation, which is as follows: - r CO = k · P CO n · P H 2 m (1 + K · a CO · P CO n + a H 2 · P H 2 m 2) . This model implies that essential kinetic processes, such as CO-dissociation by contact with adsorbed hydrogen, have already occurred. In this work, seafood wastewater was treated by using MBBR reactor over a novel carrier (PUF-PVA gel) derived from the combination of a porous (PUF) and hydrophilic surface (PVA gel). A freezing-thawing method was used for the preparation of the novel PUF-PVA gel which is reported for the first time. Experimental results indicated that PUF-PVA gel carrier which possesses an excellent textural structure (specific surface area of 3.4 m2/g, pore size in the range of 10 - 40 µm and hydrophilic surface) accounts for faster water immersion and better microbial adhesion, resulting in the biofilm content attached at the start-up stage 2.4 times higher relative to conventional PUF carrier alone. The MBBR system can be operated stably at a hydraulic retention time (HRT) of 7 hours in which the organic loading rate ranged from 2.5 kg COD/m3.day to 5.1 kg COD/m3.day. When operated at the organic loading rate of 2.5 kg COD/m3.day, the maximum COD and the nitrogen removal efficiency of MBBR based on the PUF-PVA gel carrier were 92 ± 0.6% and 89 ± 3.4%, respectively, which is higher than that of the PUF carrier.
