Purpose: Our study presents an enhanced approach to medical image caption generation by integrating concept detection into attention mechanisms. Method: This method utilizes sophisticated models to identify critical concepts within medical images, which are then refined and incorporated into the caption generation process. Results: Our concept detection task, which employed the Swin-V2 model, achieved an F1 score of 0.58944 on the validation set and 0.61998 on the private test set, securing the third position. For the caption prediction task, our BEiT+BioBart model, enhanced with concept integration and post-processing techniques, attained a BERTScore of 0.60589 on the validation set and 0.5794 on the private test set, placing ninth. Conclusion: These results underscore the efficacy of concept-aware algorithms in generating precise and contextually appropriate medical descriptions. The findings demonstrate that our approach significantly improves the quality of medical image captions, highlighting its potential to enhance medical image interpretation and documentation, thereby contributing to improved healthcare outcomes.

Purpose: This study focuses on the development of automated text generation from radiology images, termed diagnostic captioning, to assist medical professionals in reducing clinical errors and improving productivity. The aim is to provide tools that enhance report quality and efficiency, which can significantly impact both clinical practice and deep learning research in the biomedical field. Methods: In our participation in the ImageCLEFmedical2024 Caption evaluation campaign, we explored caption prediction tasks using advanced Transformer-based models. We developed methods incorporating Transformer encoder-decoder and Query Transformer architectures. These models were trained and evaluated to generate diagnostic captions from radiology images. Results: Experimental evaluations demonstrated the effectiveness of our models, with the VisionDiagnostor-BioBART model achieving the highest BERTScore of 0.6267. This performance contributed to our team, DarkCow, achieving third place on the leaderboard. Conclusion: Our diagnostic captioning models show great promise in aiding medical professionals by generating high-quality reports efficiently. This approach can facilitate better data processing and performance optimization in medical imaging departments, ultimately benefiting healthcare delivery.

Haar Cascade is a cost-effective and user-friendly machine learning-based algorithm for detecting objects in images and videos. Unlike Deep Learning algorithms, which typically require significant resources and expensive computing costs, it uses simple image processing techniques like edge detection and Haar features that are easy to comprehend and implement. By combining Haar Cascade with OpenCV2 on an embedded computer like the NVIDIA Jetson Nano, this system can accurately detect and match faces in a database for attendance tracking. This system aims to achieve several specific objectives that set it apart from existing solutions. It leverages Haar Cascade, enriched with carefully selected Haar features, such as Haar-like wavelets, and employs advanced edge detection techniques. These techniques enable precise face detection and matching in both images and videos, contributing to high accuracy and robust performance. By doing so, it minimizes manual intervention and reduces errors, thereby strengthening accountability. Additionally, the integration of OpenCV2 and the NVIDIA Jetson Nano optimizes processing efficiency, making it suitable for resource-constrained environments. We study higher complex Sobolev spaces and their corresponding functional capacities. In particular, we prove the Moser-Trudinger inequality for these spaces and discuss some relationships between these spaces and the complex Monge-Amp\`{e}re equation.

Model Inversion (MI) attacks aim to reconstruct private training data by abusing access to machine learning models. Contemporary MI attacks have achieved impressive attack performance, posing serious threats to privacy. Meanwhile, all existing MI defense methods rely on regularization that is in direct conflict with the training objective, resulting in noticeable degradation in model utility. In this work, we take a different perspective, and propose a novel and simple Transfer Learning-based Defense against Model Inversion (TL-DMI) to render MI-robust models. Particularly, by leveraging TL, we limit the number of layers encoding sensitive information from private training dataset, thereby degrading the performance of MI attack. We conduct an analysis using Fisher Information to justify our method. Our defense is remarkably simple to implement. Without bells and whistles, we show in extensive experiments that TL-DMI achieves state-of-the-art (SOTA) MI robustness. Graph convolutional networks (GCNs) have been widely used and achieved remarkable results in skeleton-based action recognition. We think the key to skeleton-based action recognition is a skeleton hanging in frames, so we focus on how the Graph Convolutional Convolution networks learn different topologies and effectively aggregate joint features in the global temporal and local temporal. In this work, we propose three Channel-wise Tolopogy Graph Convolution based on Channel-wise Topology Refinement Graph Convolution (CTR-GCN). Combining CTR-GCN with two joint cross-attention modules can capture the upper-lower body part and hand-foot relationship skeleton features. After that, to capture features of human skeletons changing in frames we design the Temporal Attention Transformers to extract skeletons effectively. The Temporal Attention Transformers can learn the temporal features of human skeleton sequences. Finally, we fuse the temporal features output scale with MLP and classification. We develop a powerful graph convolutional network named Spatial Temporal Effective Body-part Cross Attention Transformer which notably high-performance on the NTU RGB+D, NTU RGB+D 120 datasets. In this talk, we present the program Lilith, a python package for constraining new physics from Higgs measurements. We discuss the usage of signal strength results in the latest published version of Lilith, which allows for constraining deviations from SM Higgs couplings through coupling modifiers. Moreover, we discuss the on-going development to include Higgs STXS data and SMEFT parametrizations in Lilith with the aim of performing global fits of the ATLAS and CMS data. In a model inversion (MI) attack, an adversary abuses access to a machine learning (ML) model to infer and reconstruct private training data. Remarkable progress has been made in the white-box and black-box setups, where the adversary has access to the complete model or the model's soft output respectively. However, there is very limited study in the most challenging but practically important setup: Label-only MI attacks, where the adversary only has access to the model's predicted label (hard label) without confidence scores nor any other model information. In this work, we propose LOKT, a novel approach for label-only MI attacks. Our idea is based on transfer of knowledge from the opaque target model to surrogate models. Subsequently, using these surrogate models, our approach can harness advanced white-box attacks. We propose knowledge transfer based on generative modelling, and introduce a new model, Target model-assisted ACGAN (T-ACGAN), for effective knowledge transfer. Our method casts the challenging label-only MI into the more tractable white-box setup. We provide analysis to support that surrogate models based on our approach serve as effective proxies for the target model for MI. Our experiments show that our method significantly outperforms existing SOTA Label-only MI attack by more than 15% across all MI benchmarks. Furthermore, our method compares favorably in terms of query budget. Our study highlights rising privacy threats for ML models even when minimal information (i.e., hard labels) is exposed. The article deals with anomaly detection of Juniper router logs. Abnormal Juniper router logs include logs that are usually different from the normal operation, and they often reflect the abnormal operation of router devices. To prevent router devices from being damaged and help administrator to grasp the situation of error quickly, detecting abnormal operation soon is very important. In this work, we present a new way to get important features from log data of Juniper router devices and use machine learning method (basing on One-Class SVM model) for anomaly detection. One-Class SVM model requires some knowledge and comprehension about logs of Juniper router devices so that it can analyze, interpret, and test the knowledge ac-quired. We collect log data from a lot of real Juniper router devices and clas-sify them based on our knowledge. Before these logs are used for training and testing the One-Class SVM model, the feature extraction phase for these data was carried out. Finally, with the proposed method, the system errors of the routers were dectected quickly and accurately. This may help our com-pany to reduce the operation cost for the router systems.

Model inversion (MI) attacks aim to infer and reconstruct private training data by abusing access to a model. MI attacks have raised concerns about the leaking of sensitive information (e.g. private face images used in training a face recognition system). Recently, several algorithms for MI have been proposed to improve the attack performance. In this work, we revisit MI, study two fundamental issues pertaining to all state-of-the-art (SOTA) MI algorithms, and propose solutions to these issues which lead to a significant boost in attack performance for all SOTA MI. In particular, our contributions are two-fold: 1) We analyze the optimization objective of SOTA MI algorithms, argue that the objective is sub-optimal for achieving MI, and propose an improved optimization objective that boosts attack performance significantly. 2) We analyze "MI overfitting", show that it would prevent reconstructed images from learning semantics of training data, and propose a novel "model augmentation" idea to overcome this issue. Our proposed solutions are simple and improve all SOTA MI attack accuracy significantly. E.g., in the standard CelebA benchmark, our solutions improve accuracy by 11.8% and achieve for the first time over 90% attack accuracy. Our findings demonstrate that there is a clear risk of leaking sensitive information from deep learning models. We urge serious consideration to be given to the privacy implications. According to some medical imaging techniques, breast histopathology images called Hematoxylin and Eosin are considered as the gold standard for cancer diagnoses. Based on the idea of dividing the pathologic image (WSI) into multiple patches, we used the window [512,512] sliding from left to right and sliding from top to bottom, each sliding step overlapping by 50% to augmented data on a dataset of 400 images which were gathered from the ICIAR 2018 Grand Challenge. Then use the EffficientNet model to classify and identify the histopathological images of breast cancer into 4 types: Normal, Benign, Carcinoma, Invasive Carcinoma. The EffficientNet model is a recently developed model that uniformly scales the width, depth, and resolution of the network with a set of fixed scaling factors that are well suited for training images with high resolution.
