Ellochelon vaigiensis (Quoy & Gaimard, 1825) distributes widely from marine to brackish and freshwater in the Indo-Pacific region, including Vietnam. In the Mekong Delta, this fish distributes mainly in the estuaries and is a commercial value fish species. However, information about this fish digestive tract morphology and energy storage capacity had been still unknown. These characteristics, after being elucidated, wil be the basis for further research on artificially rearing them, contributing to the diversity of cultured subjects. This study was carried out in several coastal areas of provinces in the Mekong Delta from Ben Tre to Tra Vinh, Soc Trang and Bac Lieu. The analysis results of a total of 656 samples (289 females and 367 males) collected monthly, from March to October 2021, showed that E. vaigiensis had a small mouth, thick gill comb, short stomach and long intestines. This showed that they belong to the group of herbivorous fish. Ellochelon vaigiensis displayed a high energy storage capacity due to its relatively large Clark coefficient (0.73±0.03 SE). 金沢大学医薬保健研究域医学系 Graduate School of Medical Sciences, The loss of killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptor-ligands (KIR-Ls) due to the copy number neutral loss of heterozygosity of chromosome 6p (6pLOH) in leukocytes of patients with acquired aplastic anemia (AA) may alter the susceptibility of the affected leukocytes to NK cell killing in vivo. We studied 408 AA patients, including 261 who were heterozygous for KIR-Ls, namely C1/C2 or Bw6/Bw4, for the presence of KIR-L-missing (KIR-L[-]) leukocytes. KIR-L(-) leukocytes were found in 14 (5.4%, C1, n= 4, C2, n=3, and Bw4, n= 7) of the 261 patients, in whom corresponding KIR(+) licensed NK cells were detected. The incidence of 6pLOH in the 261 patients (18.0%) was comparable to that in 147 patients (13.6%) who were homozygous for KIR-L genes. The percentages of HLA-lacking granulocytes (0.8-50.3%, median 15.2%) in the total granulocytes of the patients with KIR-L(-) cells were significantly lower than those (1.2-99.4%, median 55.4%) in patients without KIR-L(-) cells. KIR2DS1 and KIR3DS1 were only possessed by three of the 14 patients, two of whom had C2/C2 leukocytes after losing C1 alleles. The expression of the KIR3DS1 ligand HLA-F was selectively lost on KIR-L(-) primitive hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) derived from 6pLOH(+) iPS cells in one of the KIR3DS1(+) patients. These findings suggest that human NK cells are able to suppress the expansion of KIR-L(-) leukocytes but are unable to eliminate them partly due to the lack of activating KIRs on NK cells and the low HLA-F expression level on HSCs in AA patients., Embargo Period 6 months

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between relational capital and supply chain collaboration (SCC) and how this relationship relates to innovation. The authors propose a theoretical framework to illustrate the effect of relational capital on three dimensions of collaboration and radical and incremental innovation. Design/methodology/approach The paper has a quantitative approach. The authors conducted the survey to collect the data from 225 suppliers in the Hunan province of China. The proposed model is tested with exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modelling. Findings The findings show that relational capital can facilitate information sharing and benefit/risk sharing when firms work together to achieve innovation. Furthermore, the results indicate that relational capital leads to radical innovation through facilitating information sharing among firms and helps in generating incremental innovation by encouraging firms to share risks and benefits with their partners. Practical implications The findings of this study give some suggestions for managers of the firms in terms of building their collaborative strategies. Managers should exploit relational capital to build successful and long-term collaboration. Also, through relational capital, managers can share information to create radical innovation or pool risks and share benefits with their customers to achieve incremental innovation. Originality/value This study provides a nuanced understanding of the relationship between relational capital, different dimensions of SCC and innovation in the context of a developing economy. Moreover, the findings provide a clearer understanding of the collaborative mechanism of relational capital and collaboration to achieve radical and incremental innovation.

This paper studies the impact of business efficiency on the level of sustainable development information disclosure of Vietnamese enterprises by using path structure model with the data of 294 enterprises listed on the stock market in 3 years from 2015 to 2017. Research results show that the level of sustainable development information disclosure of Vietnamese enterprises listed on the stock market is still quite low. This study has identified factors that positively influence the level of sustainable development information disclosure including business efficiency, firm size, Big4 and the number of members of the board of directors. The negative influencing factors with the level of sustainable development information disclosure are financial leverage and business sector. Based on the research results, the study propose some recommendations to improve the level of sustainable development information disclosure of enterprises in Vietnam: (i) promote disclosure of sustainable development for their benefit to businesses; (ii) supplement and improve the current legal system in Vietnam to create a solid legal basis for the implementation of sustainable development information disclosure.

We have investigated the behavior of GeO2 at the temperature of 300 K and the pressure from 0 to 100GPa by using the molecular dynamics simulation (the model with 5499 atoms). The results show that the Ge-Ge, Ge-O bond distance increase but O-O bond distance decreases when increasing the pressure. We find that the peak splitting of Ge-Ge at high pressure corresponds with the Ge-O-Ge and O-Ge-O bond angles. We also find that O-Ge-O bond angle decreases, and Ge-O-Ge bond angle increases with pressure. The core-sharing-bond is major at ambient pressure, but fractions of edge and face-sharing-bonds increase with pressure.

Background: Periodontal diseases are chronic inflammatory processes affecting the tooth-supporting tissues in response to bacterial accumulation and are the main cause of tooth loss. Chronic oral infections and their consequent inflammatory responses have been demonstrated to have negative effects on multiple systemic disease, including type-2 diabetes mellitus. Aim: The aim of the systematic review in Part B was to investigate the association between periodontal disease and diabetic complications. The study project in Part C aimed to record the frequency and severity of periodontal disease (gingivitis and periodontitis) in patients with diabetes, diabetic complications or high HbA1c levels. Another aim was to validate a diagnostic tool for the screening of periodontal disease by non-dental health care practitioners and evaluate a referral pathway between diabetes clinics and dental clinics. Method: To conduct the systematic review, PubMed/MEDLINE was searched. For the research project, women and men aged 18 years to 75 years, with a proven diagnosis of type 2 diabetes were recruited from the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Diabetes Centre. Consented participants then went through a structured procedures to have their periodontal conditions assessed, biological samples collected, and their intra-oral photos taken. Those participants who were diagnosed with periodontal disease at the RPAH Oral Health Clinic would receive a referral letter for further treatment. Three months after the assessment the participants were contacted by telephone to evaluate with a structured questionnaire the oral care they had received. Results: Fourteen studies included in the systematic review consistently reported an increased risk for diabetic complications including microvascular, macrovascular and death in the presence of periodontal disease. High prevalence (77.8%) of chronic periodontitis was found among participants with type-2 diabetes mellitus included in the study project. Additionally, we found that bleeding on probing was positively correlated with HbA1c levels in the participants. Conclusion: The limited evidence from this study suggests an association between type 2 diabetes mellitus and periodontal disease. We believe that patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus should be routinely screened for periodontal disease as part of their diabetes management.

Impacts of El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) on the phytoplankton community have been studied in many different waters in the world. However, these effects on phytoplankton communities in coastal upwelling waters are still in need in various aspects such as specific responses of phytoplankton and its dynamics. Phytoplankton data of 15 stations in Ninh Thuan - Binh Thuan coastal area collected in July 2016 (post El Niño year) and July 2017 (ENSO neutral year) was analyzed and comparing using diversity indices, composition and density of the phytoplankton to measure influences of ENSO on the phytoplankton community structure in coastal upwelling of South Centre Viet Nam. The results revealed significant differences of average species number, the Margalef, Shannon, and Simpson diversity indices and the density of phytoplankton between the two years. These values and indices were significant higher in ENSO neutral year (2017) than the post El Niño year (2016), except the Pielou evenness index. Phytoplankton community structures of two periods were different by 82.26% based on SIMPER analyzing.

[Background] Leukocytes that lack HLA class I alleles derived from hematopoietic stem progenitor cells (HSPCs) that undergo copy number neutral loss of heterozygosity of the short arm of chromosome 6 (6pLOH) or HLA allelic mutations are often detected in acquired aplastic anemia (AA) patients. The presence of HLA class I allele-lacking leukocytes provides compelling evidence that CTLs are involved in the development of AA, but the precise mechanisms underlying HLA missing and clonal hematopoiesis by such HLA(-) HSPCs are unknown. Our recent study showed that, among several HLA-class I alleles that are likely to be lost as a result of 6pLOH, HLA-B*40:02 is the most frequently lost allele in Japanese AA patients. The study also showed that B*54:01 was one of three HLA-alleles that were most likely to be possessed by 6pLOH(+) patients (29% [5/17]) when only patients not carrying HLA-B*40:02 were analyzed. These results prompted us to study the role of HLA-B*54:01 in the pathogenesis of AA in a larger number of patients. [Method] To identify HLA class I alleles other than HLA-B*40:02 that are closely involved in the auto-antigen presentation in AA, we studied leukocytes of 549 AA patients for the presence of 6pLOH as well as HLA alleles that are lost due to 6pLOH. To gain insight into the mechanism underlying clonal hematopoiesis by HLA-B*54:01-lacking HSPCs, we studied HSPCs derived from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) that were generated from an AA patient possessing B5401-lacking monocytes. We also investigated the association between male AA patients possessing B*54:01 and CAG microsatellites of androgen receptor (AR) gene which are related to transactivation of the AR gene. [Results] 6pLOH was detected in 91 (16.6%) of the total patients and in 48 (10.4%) of the 462 patients not possessing B*40:02.
